BLACK & WHITE CAT CLUB SHOWSATURDAY 18TH APRIL 2009JUDGE: Charis WhiteMany thanks to Sandie Holloway who gave up her day to steward for me at this lovely little show. We had a good day – not so many cats so more time to cuddle them! There were lots of lovely non-pedigrees too. It’s always a pleasure to work with Sandie, she is one of a group of wonderful stewards in the British section and highly sought after! Thanks again Sandie, I’m looking forward to the next show day together. BRITISH GRAND CHAMPION MALEGCC – STUBBS’ CH POSITIVELY ARCAMOR SCAMP – Black 20/06/04The only one in the Class but a worthy winner. He has a medium frame but is mature and has a good balance of shape and bone with a broad deep body, good strength across the chest and he stands on short stocky legs with medium paws. Lovely round head with full cheeks, again with that maturity evident. Neat ears are well set. Good round top of head. Large round gold eyes, very open expression (which he got from his dad!). Short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. He has a slightly square muzzle but it doesn’t detract. Super coat – the best of the Blacks on the day – being short and dense. It is sound but just beginning to pick up a little of the rusty tinge from the sunny weather in places, otherwise still jet black and sound. Nice tail for balance, medium length with rounded tip. Super temperament. I understand that this makes him a Grand Champion, so congratulations all round. BRITISH SHORTHAIR JUNIOR ADULT1ST HOLLANDT’S PRIDYKATS PRINCESS-RAVEN – Black female 03/07/08Still very young and lacking the maturity as yet but she has excellent qualities and time on her side for that maturity to come. She has a long body, which is filling out in shape and has good weight. Medium length strong legs with firm round paws. Her head has yet to fill out and gain roundness of shape but she has neat, just slightly upright ears with good space between. Lovely big round orange eyes – she had the best eye colour of all the Blacks on the day. Her nose is short but has a slight stop and a bump when viewed in profile. Level bite and firm chin. Her coat is a fraction long but has good density and texture. The jet black just shows a slight rusty tone in places. Medium length tail with rounded tip. She’s a shy but sweet girl.
