CAMEO PEWTER AND SMOKE CAT SOCIETY SHOW – 10 JANUARY 2010 JUDGES REPORT – MRS CELIA DE MARTINO

Many thanks to Pat Parrish and the committee for letting me judge here again. Despite the snow on the ground it was a great show with only a few absent. The standard of the exhibits was high and the atmosphere great

AC PERSIAN IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER MALE

1 IMP GR PC BAYLISS GR PR TAMOSAH FADE TOGREY.

A gorgeous blue pewter lad whose coat long soft silky coat was well groomed. Excellent even blue tipping on sparkling white, lovely full white ruff framing his face. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short broad nose with stop, brick nose leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Eyes and nose leather outlined. Large weighty cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, large paws, tail of medium length in proportion to body, not too happy about the end. Excellent laid back temperament, excellent condition.

1 IMP GR PC BRIDGES IMP GR PR HIGHSPOT GELLIBABY.

A well grown well prepared cream smoke lass with lovely long soft silky coat. Good cream mask showing and an excellent white undercoat tipped with cream giving a mantle effect .Excellent top of head, well set furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round orange eyes which could be bolder for perfection Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short full tail. Handled well, excellent condition.

BLUE ADULT

BOB PRIESTLEY’S GR CH PANDARUS ULTRAUNIQUE

A gorgeous blue lad, 6 years old and still looking great. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Farily bold round orange eyes. Large cobby rounded weighty frame, short sturdy legs and short full tail. Lovely well prepared soft silky coat of mid blue, every hair separated, some seasonal shading. Excellent temperament and condition.

GOLDEN PERSIAN

1CC ROUSE’S STARDROPS FIRE CRACKER.

A golden boy of excellent type, just over 11 months old and well grown for age. Well prepared soft silky coat of medium length which is still changing. Quite diffuse today and showing a few tabby markings, these will be less apparent as the coat grows, contrasts coming from shoulders, lovely warm shade of apricot around head with black tipping. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short broad nose with brick leather, good stop, round green eyes, could be bolder, eyes and nose showing outlining. Full apple cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded body, short sturdy legs and fairly short tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

BOB PRIEST’S UK GR CH TREVORRY BOOBOO

A lovely lad coming up for 7 years old and still looking good. Long soft flowing pale apricot coat with fairly even tipping. Excellent top of head, neat well placed furnished ears, nearly hidden by fur. Short broad nose with stop, brick leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Excellent green eyes, nose leather and eyes with outlining. Cobby, weighty rounded frame, short sturdy legs, large paws, short full tail. Excellent temperament and condition

BLUE KITTEN

1 & BOB HOLMES KAVIKAT BLUE MOON

A seven month old blue lad with well prepared long soft silky coat of mid blue showing minimal shading, every hair separated. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short broad nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Well grown for age, large, weighty, cobby rounded body, short sturdy legs and large paws, fairly short full tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

CREAM KITTEN

1 & BOB RAINBOW-OCKWELLS HERRAFARESIAH CHIAROSCURO.

What a character, very vocal, lively playful a real take home babe, just 5 months old. Excellent width between well placed ears, lovely long furnishings, round bold orange eyes, short broad nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite, firm chin, muzzle slightly pinched. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs when relaxed, otherwise standing on tip toe and having as many legs as an octopus. Stewards were in short supply and I could really have done with one for this lad. If I cuddled him all was well. Well prepared soft silky coat of medium length, fairly light cream showing minimal shading. Excellent temperament and condition.

Excellent temperament and condition.

Excellent temperament and condition

Excellent top of head with well placed furnished ears, touch open at base, full cheeks, nose with stop, brick leather, good bite and firm chin. Round expressive green eyes, nose leather and eyes outlined in black. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, short full tail. Well prepared soft silky sparkling white coat, lightly and evenly tipped with black. Excellent temperament and condition.

A beautiful tortie smoke girl, well grown for age, only 14 weeks old so just old enough to show, taking it all in her stride. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round bold muddy eyes, showing promise of good copper colour to come. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short tail. Well prepared soft silky coat showing black and shades of red to face, all feet broken, body black with lovely white undercoat, waiting for the red to come in. Full silver ruff framing her face. Excellent temperament and condition.

A block and tackle job to get this large weighty lad out of his pen, so laid back he didn’t help me. What does he have to eat. Steak and chips every night. A gorgeous red lad with well prepared coat soft silky coat. Lovely expression with bold orange eyes and exceptionally long whiskers. Excellent temperament and condition, a pleasure to handle
