Judge Sandra WoodleyMy thanks to East Sussex show committee for the invitation to judge this popular show and their hospitality and looking after me on the day. I had some lovely cats and was ably assisted my friend Mary Moore who guided me through the day with good humour and efficiency. And handled the cats with care. Hope we can work together again soon.
ASIAN TABBY KITTEN 1 entered
1 & BOB Halls DIANGELLO DIDYMUS (72 43asq) 18/04/08 MI last met this young ticked tabby lad in July and he is maturing into a lovely cat. He has a well filled heavy body with a straight back and rounded chest, lithe elegant limbs and neat oval paws, his tail is of the correct shape and thickness and balances his body. Gentle rounding to his top of head but needs a fraction more width between his largish well shaped ears. He has a balanced profile with a rounded forehead, gentle nose break, straight nose and a shallow level chin and a level bite. He has a short medium wedge that narrow to a blunt muzzle. Large lustrous pale green eyes are set with the topline slanting towards his nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid set well apart giving him the required expression. Beautiful silky close lying coat of a cool bluish fawn tone over a pale silvery fawn ground with a distinct metallic sheen on his back and hocks . He has attractive very heavy facial markings with a scarab on his forehead, pale spectacles with dark mascara and pencilling running from the outer edges of his eyes. He has heavy bracelets on all four limbs, double necklaces and rings to his tail which has a solid tip. Pale spotty markings on his tummy. He was in my book as a silver but I felt his undercoat did not have the sparkling silver tone required but I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to his age and the awful lighting in the hall. A delightful lad enjoying his day out and showing promise.
LILAC BURMESE KITTEN 1 entered
1 & BOB Simmons RUMBA KRISTOPH (27c) 06/04/08 MHandsome lilac chap of nearly six months. He has a well filled heavy muscular body with proportionate limbs and neat oval paws and correctly shaped tail that is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances his body. He has a gently rounded top of head but needs a fraction more width between his ears which are wide at the base with rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt their outer edges following the outline of his face. In profile he has good depth to his head, a rounded brow and distinct nosebreak and straight nose, level shallow chin and a level bite. His wedge is medium, broad and narrows to a blunt muzzle. He looked a little pinched at the jaw hinge today which at his age is probably due to teething. His eyes are a yellow chartreuse in colour and correctly shaped with a gentle curve to the topine which slants toward his nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid and are set well apart, to be ultra critical I felt they could be slightly larger. He has the most beautiful short close lying coat of a pale dove grey that is showing an attractive pinky overtone when viewed in natural day light. A lovely little chap shown in excellent condition with a lovely temperament who just didn’t stop purring and chirruping.

1 BOB withheld Ashcrofts RAWEKE LITTLEMISSDOTTY (27g) 14/04/08 FA shy little girl at her first show, she has a well muscled body of excellent weight for her size with elegant limbs and neat spoon shaped paws. She has a gently rounded top of head with excellent width between her well shaped and set ears. They are of the desired shape with a wide base, rounded top and are set with a slight forward tilt, there outer edge following the line of her wedge. In profile she has reasonable depth to her head, a slightly flat brow and a barely perceptible break. Her chin is of good depth and level and she has a level bite despite a few missing baby teeth. She has a short broad wedge with a blunt muzzle but looked pinched at the jaw hinge today probably due to her teething. Beautifully shaped eyes with the topline slanting towards her nose and the lower lid being fuller and more rounded. They are set wide apart giving a typical Burmese expression. Her coat is glossy and short lying and shows pretty tortie markings of blue and cream. I am sorry to have with held BOB on this dear little girl but her small faults today left me no choice. She was however shown in superb condition and has an endearing temperament.

Black/Black & White Shorthair Male I entered
1 Nortons BABY (2 years)What a handsome boy!! Lovely large black boy with sparkling white bib, front paws, back legs and moustache. Shown in fabulous condition his coat was thick and plush and gleamed with health. He has large lustrous green eyes with the longest whiskers and eyebrows. He wasn’t too keen on being disturbed but was relaxed and happy in his pen.

1 Baileys SMUDGE (7 years)This lovely girl should really be described as white and black. She has a thick plush sparkling white coat with attractive black smudges and a black skull cap. Small neat ears and beautiful lustrous yellow eyes gave her a nice expression. She was in lovely condition and thoroughly enjoyed our cuddles.
2 Langleys PRINCESS LULAH (1 year)Another attractive girl shown in superb condition. She has a lovely short glossy close lying black coat with attractive white markings. Her coat was short, dense and sparkling with health. She has lovely long whiskers and eyebrows and is shown in wonderful condition. She told my steward that she wanted to stay in her pen but handled well. A lovely youngster unlucky to meet Smudge today.

1 Crow & Goss’s CH KAGURA SAPHIRA (68 45a) 07/10/05 FVery attractive full expression blue ticked tabby tiffanie. She has an elegant weighty body with straight back and gently rounded chest, proportionate limbs and neat oval paws, her tail balances Short broad wedge that tapers to a blunt muzzle with good width at jaw. Gently rounded top of head with plenty of width between medium well set ears that are wide at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, the outer line following the outline of her wedge. In profile she has good depth to her head, a rounded brow and distinct nosebreak, short straight nose and firm level chin and level if untidy bite with a few missing teeth. She has large lustrous greeny yellow eyes of the correct shape with a gentle curve to the topline which slants gently towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, set well apart giving typical Asian expression. Her ticking appears more subtle than on a short coat but none the less she has clear bands of a darkish blue on a cool beige ground. Her spine line shows a more intense colour and she has an M on her forehead, bracelets and she shows good colour up her hocks and a solid tip to tail. Her coat is long and silky and lies flat over her back and flows down the sides. She has a full ruff, breeches and ear streamers and the most beautiful plume. A gentle girl shown in wonderful condition and with a sweet temperament.
2 Bakers INGELWOOD SILVER APOLLO (72 43s) 24/12/05 MBlack silver shaded boy of good size and weight he has elegant limbs and neat oval shaped paws, his tail is of a good shape and balances his body. He has a lovely balanced head with gentle rounding to top and good width between largish well shaped ears that are set with a slight forward tilt with the outer edge following the outline of his face. Short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, level bite. In profile he has good depth to her head with a distinct nosebreak, straight nose, firm level chin. Large lustrous greenish yellow eyes are slightly more rounded than ideal but are set wide apart. His coat is short glossy and close lying, showing a black mantle over a sparkling silver base with the colour extending well down the hair shaft with more depth of colour over the spine line. He has an M on his forehead, spectacles and lovely dark mascara around his eyes. An alert sweet natured boy. Lovely temperament and well presented.
3 Richmond Watsons OWLSDENE MR DARCY (76 30) 18/11/07 MMost beautiful coat to this young lad who had a well muscled sleek body typically riding higher at the hindquarters. He has strong sturdy legs with large round paws with a medium length tail that is thick with a rounded tip. Well shaped head with a broad wedge with rounded contours, his ears are well set and medium in size and are wide at the base with rounded tips. Medium ears that were set well and followed the contours of the face. He has expressive green eyes that are oval in shape and set on a slight slant. His wedge is medium and broad with rounded contours and high cheek bones with good width at the muzzle and pronounced whisker pads. His profile shows a gentle curve with a large, broad nose and good depth to his chin. His coat is short, dense, very soft and luxurious to the touch. Beautiful black arrow headed spots on an orange ground showing glitter. A real sweetie who purred the whole time.
x3 Lettens JETSTAR MIMI RAINBOW (68 43bq) 19/11/07 FThis chocolate (BCR) shaded Tiffanie is just an adult but is of good size and weight for her age, she has a strong muscular body that has a straight back and gently rounded chest, her tail balances but has a fixed deviation at the end (confirmed by the duty vet). Her legs are elegant with neat rounded paws. Short broad wedge that tapers to a blunt muzzle with good width at jaw. Gently rounded top of head with plenty of width between medium well set ears that are wide at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, the outer line following the outline of her wedge. In profile she has good depth to her head, a rounded brow and gentle nosebreak but her nose has a small bump, she has a firm level chin and level bite. She has large lustrous greeny yellow eyes of the correct shape with the topline slanting gently towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid that are set well apart. Her coat shows a mantle of warm shading on a warm beige ground. Her coat is still developing and is not as silky as I would like, but she shows signs on a ruff, breeches and a plume. She has an on her forehead, light spectacles with dark mascara. A sweet girl who was enjoying her day out.

1 Sellmans GR CH KINABALU SWEET SAPPHIRE (72) 11/07/04 FMost stunning Bombay girl, with a plump well muscled body of elegant proportions, she has a rounded chest and straight back, with slender elegant limbs and neat oval paws, her tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and just balances her body. She has the most beautifully balanced head with a slight flattening to the dome with good width between her medium well set ears. They are broad at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt their outer line following the line of her wedge. Her profile shows a gently rounded brow with a distinct break to her short straight nose, level chin and bite. She has a short broad wedge and blunt muzzle with good width at the jaw hinge. Her large lustrous pale yellowy green eyes have a gentle curve to the topline that slants towards her nose with a fuller more rounded lower line, they are set well apart to give a typical menacing expression. Her coat is like patent leather short glossy close lying and coloured to the roots. A lovely girl with a sweet temperament.
2 Tanners JONSCOTT POSH ENYA (33a36) 17/12/07 FVery attractive Devon Rex with a lithe well muscled medium body, proportionate limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is long and tapering and balances her body. Her head forms a short wide wedge with characteristic high cheek bones, strong chin and a level bite. She has large low set ears set wide apart tapering to rounded tips. In profile she has a flattish top to head with a curved brow, definite stop and short nose. Her eyes are large and oval in shape and are set wide apart sloping towards her ears giving her that lovely typical expression. She has a short dense coat that is soft in texture and well waved with lovely curly whiskers.
3 Sellmans BONNYBELLA MR DARCY (72a) M 03/07/07An elegant male of medium size with a firm, muscular feel and good weight. He has a rounded chest and straight back, proportionate limbs and neat oval paws. His tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. Slight rounding to top of head with good width between medium ears that are broad at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt and continuing the lines of the wedge. He was however holding them a little upright today. Lustrous chartreuse expressive eyes of good shape and set with the topline slanting towards his nose with a fuller more rounded lowerline. He has short medium wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle but could do with more width at the jaw hinge. In profile he has a gently curved brow with a noticeable nose break and good depth to his chin. His coat is of short, fine and close lying with a healthy sheen and of a deep blue that is clear and coloured to the roots. This lad was shown in superb condition with a lovely temperament but still looks very much the teenager.
X3 Goodburns CH TOSHIKI HYLILY ZODIAC (74a)Mature blue Tonkinese girl with a firm heavy medium length body, rounded chest and the back rising towards her rump, medium, length tapering tail. Slender elegant legs and neat oval feet. Gentle rounding to top of head with good space between her correctly sized ears that have a broad base and rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. Her wedge is medium with a slight whisker break. She has large expressive blue green eyes of the desired shape and set with the top line slanting towards her nose and more rounded fuller lower line and almost almond in shape. In profile she has a moderate nosebreak, level chin and level bite. Short close lying coat of a soft blue shading to a darker tone on head, legs and tail. A nice girl shown in good condition with a very nice disposition.

A promising baby.

A delightful girl with a lovely temperament.

A lovely big boy with a well filled balanced body with a rounded chest and straight back, elegant limbs and neat oval paws, his tail is of medium thickness, tapers to a rounded tip and balances his body. Short broad wedge that tapers to a blunt muzzle with good width at jaw. Gently rounded top of head with plenty of width between medium well set ears that are wide at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, the outer line following the outline of his wedge. In profile he has good depth to his head, with just slight flattening to the brow and distinct nosebreak, short straight nose and firm level chin and level bite. He has large lustrous greeny yellow eyes that were looking a little round today which just made him look a little shocked. His seal brown coat appeared a little cool in hall lighting but is of medium length and silky and lies flat over his back and flows down the sides. He has a moderate ruff, breeches and plume. A very shy lad who was easy to handle but seemed totally overawed by the whole proceedings.
3 Bishops PR EPISCOPUSS SOPHOCLES (74n) 28/07/04 MN
X3 Bishops GR CH & PR EPISCOPUSS QUIRITA (74p) 23/09/99 FNI had a really hard job with these two delightful Tonkinese from the same stable. The same remarks apply to both. Both have mature solid well filled bodies of medium length and are firm and muscular with rounded chest and straight back rising to the rump. Legs are slender with neat oval feet. Medium length tapering tail of medium thickness. Gently rounded top of head with good width between medium sized ears, that are slightly pricked forward and follow the outer line of moderately proportioned wedges. Excellent profiles with slight nose break and medium depth chin, level bite. Large expressive eyes a greenish blue that slant down towards the nose with a rounded lower line. Short close lying coats with a soft silky sheen. His is a cool toned bluish fawn merging into darker points of the same shade, hers was a very attractive mingling of a cool bluish fawn with apricot. They were both excellent condition with a wonderful temperaments and a credit to their owner breeders.

Large lustrous greenish yellow eyes have good shape and set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid set wide apart giving typical Burmese/Asian expression. Her coat is short glossy and close lying, showing a cool toned fawn over a pale beige base with the colour extending well down the hair shaft with more depth of colour over the spine line. She has an M on her forehead, spectacles and lovely dark mascara around her eyes. An alert sweet natured girl. Lovely temperament and well presented.

She has large low set ears set wide apart tapering to rounded tips. In profile she has a flattish top to head with a curved brow, definite stop and short nose. Large oval eyes are set wide apart and slant towards her ears giving her that lovely expression. She has a short dense coat that is soft in texture and well waved. A delightful girl with a lovely temperament.
3 Cummins PR LEGEND IOTA TIGERLILY (23) 05/07/06 FNAttractive Abyssinian girl with a medium length body which is firm and muscular with slender legs and neat oval paws. She has a well shaped tail that is thick at the base and tapers and balances the body Gently rounded top of head with good width between large well set ears with that are cupped and have small tufts. She has a moderate wedge that tapers to a gently rounded muzzle. In profile she has a slight nosebreak with a straight line from her nose to chin. Her eyes are expressive of good colour and almond shaped with an oriental look. Her coat is short, fine and close lying clearly showing four bands of black ticking on a ruddy orange ground. She has attractive pale spectacles with black eyeliner and with lines running from her eyes to the top of her head. She has a solid line running from her head along the spine line and a black tip to her tail. A very sweet cat shown in tip top condition.

1 Lanes DRASNIAN RAFFLES JEWELS (77) 26/10/07 MNJust an adult but of good weight and size with medium length well muscled lithe body she has well muscled elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is slender and has a rounded tip and is of the correct length. She has a nicely rounded head with good width at the outer edges of her eyes, blunt nose and a well defined whisker break, her ears are well set, deep cupped and are large, wide and open at the base. In profile she has a rounded skull with a slight stop and a deep level chin. Her eyes are large and lustrous hazel colour with attractive dark mascara, dark outline to nose leather and attractive cheetah lines. Her coat is short silky and close lying and of a deep ivory showing two clear bands sepia ticking. Her tummy, chest, muzzle and the insides of her legs are a warm ivory colour and free of ticking with evidence of barring behind her back knees and the inner sides of her front legs. A very relaxed girl enjoying her day out.

1 Dells KUPRO SASSAFRASS (27d) 10/05/08 FThis dear little red baby was just old enough to be shown but has the most outgoing character and was thoroughly enjoying her day out. Well muscled body of good weight for her size, she has a rounded chest and straight back. Slender elegant legs and neat spoon shaped paws, her tail is of medium thickness and of good shape with a paintbrush tip and balances. Beautifully proportioned head with gently rounded top and excellent width between her medium sized ears that are wide at the base, gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of her face. She has a short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, with a level bite. In profile she has very good depth to her head, rounded brow, distinct nosebreak with a short straight nose. Her chin is of acceptable depth but it just lays back a land level. Her eyes are correctly set and of the desired shape with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid and are set well apart. They are a muddy yellow where the colour is still developing. She still has that slightly surprised look that is so typical of a Burmese kitten. Her coat is kittenish (but at this age you would expect nothing else) and a pale tangerine colour. A promising baby with an endearing temperament that coped exceptionally well with everything that was going on. She was shown in lovely condition – should have a bright future. I understand that she won BOV Burmese kitten and BIS Burmese – a worthy winner and congratulations to her owner breeder.
2 Taylors ZIGON SARABANDE (27a) 07/05/08 FExcellent size to this blue baby, her body is of elegant proportions with a rounded chest and straight back and feels firm, muscular and is of very good weight. She has elegant slender legs with neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip. Her dome is gently rounded with good width between well set medium sized ears that are of good shape with slightly rounded tip and set with a slight forward tilt. She has a short wide wedge with a blunt muzzle and good width at jaw hinge. Her profile shows a gentle nose break, short straight nose, strong chin and good depth to head. Muddy colour to large expressive eyes, where the colour is still developing , set is good with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom line set well apart to give the typical Burmese look. Soft kittenish coat of a darker blue already showing some silvering on her paws. A promising baby with an excellent temperament and shown in good condition.
3 Taylors ZIGON SCARAMOLUCHE (27) 07/05/08 MBrown litter brother to Sarabande and showing many of the same qualities. Of a larger more masculine build this dear little brown boy has just an adequate nosebreak and his chin lays back a fraction. His coat is glossy and shines with health and is a rich mid seal brown. Shown in tip top condition with a lovely temperament.

1 Fergusons MYTHIAN NAAVA (27) 29/12/07 FStylish brown kitten that is almost an adult with a strong body of good weight for size with rounded chest and straight back. Legs are elegant and slender with neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. She has a gently rounded top of head with very good width between her well set medium sized ears. Her wedge is short and wide with a blunt muzzle with good width at the jaw hinge. She has very good depth to her head with a gently rounded brow although the nose rolls of a little. Her chin is strong chin and level and she has a level bite. Muddy colour to eyes at the moment where the colour is still developing and they are of good shape and set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a gently rounded bottom they are set well apart and she has the typical Burmese look. Ears are of good shape with slightly rounded tip and set with a slight forward tilt. Her coat is mature glossy and close lying and is a rich seal brown. A very promising kitten with an excellent temperament and shown in good condition.
2 Macoys KYMIAN WESTON (27) 22/03/08 MA promising young lad who had a weighty well muscled body with a rounded chest and straight back, with sturdy legs and neat oval paws. His tail is of good length and shape, balances to his shoulder and has a paintbrush tip. Gently rounded top of head with plenty of width between his large ears that have a broad base and rounded tips. They are correctly set with the outer line following his wedge with a slight forward tilt. He has a short broad wedge, blunt muzzle and a level bite. His profile shows good depth to his head with a slightly rounded brow and distinct nose break that just slopes away slightly. His chin is level and of a good depth. Large lustrous rich yellow chartreuse eyes have the desired shape giving the typical Burmese expression. His coat is a rich seal brown, sleek and close lying but just has a smattering of white hairs around his shoulders and a small white patch between his back legs. A happy lad with a deep purr.

Her profile shows a gently rounded brow with a distinct nose break, short straight nose, strong chin and good depth to head. Muddy colour to large expressive eyes, where the colour is still developing , set is good with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom line set well apart to give the typical Burmese look. Soft kittenish coat of a mid blue is silky and close lying. A sweet baby with an excellent temperament and shown in good condition

3 Macoys OYIBO MACOYS BLUETT (27a) 14/04/08 MGood sized blue boy with good weight with a rounded chest and straight back, strong legs and neat oval paws. His tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. He has a gently rounded top of head with good width between medium well shaped ears that are set with a slight forward tilt. Longish broad wedge has a blunt muzzle and he has a level bite. His brow rounded above an adequate nose break but his nose is just a little long. Reasonable depth to his chin that just lays back a little. He has large lustrous greeny yellow eyes, that are well set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom line set well apart to but a somewhat heavy brow spoils his expression. His coat is silky and close lying and of a darker blue. A relaxed little chap with a lovely nature.
