Statement from Mary Young 

 

It is with regret that I place this message  - that my father, John Shewbridge, died on Monday 30th June, at the age of 83.  His funeral is to take place at Parndon Wood Crematorium, Harlow, Essex on Friday 11th July at 2.30pm. 

 

John requested that there be no flowers but that donations are made instead to the Feline Advisory Bureau.  The funeral directors, Daniel Robinson of Bishop’s Stortford, are setting up an account in Dad’s name into which donations can be made, and will then forward any funds received to the FAB.

I have sent a more detailed obituary to Our Cats, summarising the highlights of his long connections with the Cat Fancy. 

I would really appreciate it if you could all pass on the sad news to anyone who may not read this website; Pinkie and her family would be glad to see as many 'old' faces as possible to help send him off.
