KENTISH CAT SOCIETY JUDGE – Mrs B Prowse. 17/10/2009

Thank you Helen, Sean and Sue for the invitation to judge once again at this very well run show. I had a lovely weekend away and handled some lovely cats. Thanks to Sandy Brown – Percival for her help and expertise. Hope to work with you again soon.

AC PERSIAN GRAND CHAMPION

IGR CH MR & MRS ANGUS’S GR CH PALCHINNO SNOWCLOUD (2b) F 24/7/07 – Very pretty Odd Eyed White.

She is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. Round head with broad top and neat well furnished ears. Round expressive eyes with one a pale but definite blue and the other orange. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Full cheeks firm chin. Level bite. Coat full and flowing today, sparkling white and well prepared. Full brush. I believe I made her up to Imperial today, congratulations to her owner/breeders.

1CC BOB MRS G NEALE’S CH CUSHKA JUSTANILLUSION (10) M 30/8/07

Chinchilla male of good size and shape. Cobby and standing low on the legs. Head which is broad and round with excellent width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive emerald green eyes that are outlined in black. Short broad nose outlined in black with a full brick leather. Nice level bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat displaying a white undercoat which is evenly tipped with black. Legs are slightly shaded but the chin; ear furnishings, stomach and chest are pure white. Tail short and bushy. Lovely boy who was wonderful to handle.

1CC MRS G NEALE’S CUSHKA AUTUMN SERENADE (10) F 25/8/08 – Pretty Chinchilla.

Nice shape and size. Cobby body standing on short thick legs. Lovely balanced type and sweet expression. Round head needing just a little more width between neat well furnished eras. Round expressive green eyes that are outlined in black. Short snub nose with good break and full pale brick leather which is outlined in black. Good bite. Full cheeks. Well prepared coat displaying a pure white undercoat with the coat on the back, flanks, head, ears and tail evenly tipped with black. Legs slightly shady but chin, ear furnishings, stomach and chest pure white. Tail in proportion to her body

BOB MR K BROWN’S CH DENSPURR YURI TONKA (13b4) M 17/8/07 – Lilac Colourpoint.

Lovely size and shape and nicely balanced for type. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round pale blue eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full cheeks, strong chin. Well-prepared coat showing minimal shading to flanks and shoulders. Points a pleasing shade of lilac. Full brush. A lovely gentle male with a typical Colourpoint temperament.

1ST BOB MRS E BARFOOT’S MARISHA SHE’ACUTE (5) F 31/3/09

Cream baby who is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. Round head with smooth skull. Good width between ears which hopefully she will grow into. Round expressive copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Bite level but teething at the moment. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat which is a little hot in shade and very unsound. Tail short and full.

1ST BOB MRS N HILLMAN’S VALLEYCAT MERI-MELODY (66) F 12/4/09 – Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll.

Body is long and she stands on medium sized legs on paws that are large and tufted. She has a broad head with flat plane, ears which are medium in size and spaced well apart. Eyes are large, well opened, and slightly oblique and a medium shade of blue. Nose is medium in length needing a little more dip. Good bite. Cheeks nicely rounded. Dense matching seal points. Coat nicely prepared, it is a good length with very slight surface shading on shoulders and flanks. Full ruff. Tail long, reaching the shoulders and tapering towards the tip.

2ND MRS S STANTON’S RAGADDICT BRIAR ROSE (66) F 3/6/09 – Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll.

Body is a good shape and size for her age. Her body is long and she stands on medium sized legs on paws that are large and well tufted. Broad head with flat plane, ears are medium in size and spaced well apart. Eyes are large, well opened, could be a little deeper blue in colour and are slightly oblique. Nose is medium in length and has a gentle dip. Good bite. Cheeks well rounded, firm chin. Points are seal brown and developing well. Coat nicely prepared, a nice texture but a little wispy at present. Tail long, reaching the shoulders and tapering towards the tip.

1ST BOB MISS J COMER’S ZELANDONII BLUE OSKI (67 16) M 19/3/09

Blue NFC who is very well grown for his age. His body is long and he is a good weight and has good boning. He stands high on the legs with back legs longer than front on large round paws. Head is triangular and he has a long straight profile. His forehead is slightly rounded and his ears are large with good width at the base. Eyes are large and oval obliquely set but a little deep set. Good bite. Chin is a little weak. Coat is semi long and well prepared. His coat is still developing as it is a little soft to the touch at the moment and lacking in undercoat. Tail long and bushy and reaches the shoulder blades easily. Well presented and a lovely temperament.

1ST MRS S STANTON’S GR PR AZERPASHAN BOBBY DAZZLER (66a) MN 25/4/01

Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll who has a wonderfully laid back temperament. Body is long and muscular and he stands on legs which are medium in length on large round paws. Lovely broad head with flat plane. Ears are medium in size, set wide apart and tilted slightly forward. Large medium blue eyes set slightly oblique. Nose of medium length with a gentle dip and slightly retrousse at the tip. Good bite. Muzzle round, firm chin. Well-prepared coat showing slight surface shading. Points colour is a medium shade of blue. Tail long and bushy reaching the shoulders.

1ST MESSRS HANNINGTON & HARDIE’S NABOO HULA HOOP (70 12a1t) M 22/5/09

Brown Tabby and White Exotic who has a real temper on him for one so young. Balanced Persian type. He is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full fat cheeks firm chin. Coat is well presented and is dense, plush and stands well away from his body. It is a sparkling white and shows nicely defined patches of rich sable which show tabby markings. Tail is well ringed and in proportion to his body.

Black Smoke and White Exotic of lovely balanced Persian type. Lovely body shape standing on short fat legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose with good stop. Level bite. Full fat cheeks firm chin. Coat is dense and plush standing well away from his body and it is full of life. Dense black showing contrasts well. Sparkling white to underparts, part white collar and inverted V on his face. Dinky tail. A very nice young man.

2ND MISS A HOWDLE’S BRONTTI DARIUS (13b2) MN 19/11/08

Blue Colourpoint of good size and shape. Cobby and standing low on short fat legs. Round head with good width between neat ears. Round expressive pale blue eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full leather. Acceptable bite. Full cheeks. Points a pleasing shade of blue. Well prepared coat with slight surface shading. Tail short and bushy.

3RD MISS K MEADOWS’S CH FLEURIELLE WHITE SUGAR (2a) MN 1/12/07 – Lovely Orange Eyed White.

Cobby in shape and standing low on the legs. Large round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round orange eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Good bite. Full cheeks, strong chin. Sparkling white coat which needed a little more attention to the underparts. Dinky tail.

AC RAGDOLL ADULT

1ST MRS S STANTON’S CH RAGADDICT MIAMORIO (66 31) F 2/10/07 – Seal Bi colour Ragdoll.

Muscular and long body standing on legs which are medium in length on large round paws. Head is broad with a flat plane. Ears are medium in size and set wide apart. Eyes are large, well opened and medium blue in colour. Nose medium in length with a gentle dip. Level bite. Cheeks could be a little fuller but her muzzle is rounded. Coat well prepared and silken in texture. Dense seal points which are matching. Mask has a balanced inverted ‘V’ of white. Bib, chest and underparts white, she also has a wide white collar. Back and sides of the body are beige. Front legs are white although a small amount of colour does travel slightly down both legs; the back legs are white up to the level of the hocks. Tail long and bushy, slightly tapered towards the tip and reaches the shoulder.

2ND MS S DAVIES’S ADATEELO ADORING MITZ (66w) F 2/6/08 – Seal Mitted Ragdoll.

Good size and shape, body is long and she stands on legs that are medium in length on large round paws. Head is broad; she has a flat plane and good width between her ears which are medium in size. Eyes are well opened, slightly oblique and set nicely apart and are also a good blue colour. Bite is level. Cheeks needing to be a little fuller. Dense seal points. Chin, bib and chest are white as is the underbody. The two front paws are white up to the angle of the paws. Back legs are white with the white up to the underbody on the right and up to the level of the hock on the left. Coat nicely prepared beige in colour and a good length and texture. Tail is long and bushy.

1ST MR & MRS BARLETTA’S GR CH COONTASTIC LAMMTARRA (64 31t) F 27/10/05 – Brown Tabby and White Maine Coon.

Excellent build and well balanced, being muscular and solid and standing on substantial legs with large rounded paws which are well tufted. Head medium in length with large tall well-tufted ears which are set high and well apart. Full round gold eyes that are set slightly oblique. Nose of even width with a shallow concave curve and full leather. Good bite. Square muzzle with firm chin. Cheeks full with high cheek bones. Well-prepared coat with full ruff and breeches displaying classic tabby markings. Warm copper ground colour with dense black markings. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads and spectacles. Butterfly to shoulders and oyster to each flank. White chest and a white blaze across her nose. White feet and underparts. Tail long and well ringed, easily reaching her shoulders and well furnished.

2ND MR & MRS WHITMARSH’S CH COONFLAKES ACE OF SPADES (64 15) M 29/1/08 – Black Maine coon.

Good size and nice length to body. Stands on substantial legs with large rounded paws, which are well tufted. Head medium in length with large tall ears that are well tufted and set well apart. Round green eyes set wide apart and slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with a shallow curve. Level bite. Square muzzle, firm chin. Full cheeks. Nicely prepared coat with full ruff and breeches. Tail long and at least the length of the body

1ST MR & MRS MURTON’S TARKUSHA FRANCESCA (13c1) FN 23/5/01

Seal Birman of lovely size and shape. Very nicely balanced for type. Body long and massive standing on legs of medium length on short strong paws. Skull strong, broad and rounded with ears which are medium in size and spaced nicely apart. Nose medium in length with a slight dip in profile. Eyes of a good blue which are almost round but not bold. Wide level bite. Cheeks full and round with firm chin. Well prepared coat of pale beige showing some surface shading but clear at the roots. Dense matching seal points. Pure white symmetrical gloves. Socks are medium in length. Gauntlets are a little short but taper nicely. Tail bushy and medium in length.

1ST MRS S GODSMARK’S SHEEPHOUSE BOBBY ROCKER (16) M 11/7/08

British Blue who is cobby in shape, well balanced in type and standing on short strong legs. Round head with good width between ears that are a little large. Round expressive pale orange eyes. Nose short, broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks nicely rounded with firm chin. Pale blue coat that is sound but a little soft rather than crisp to the touch and it is also a little long. Tail medium in length, thick and has a rounded tip.

2ND MR & MRS BANHAM’S KRUZINKAL FRANGAR BANHAM (40 4) M 15/6/08

Lilac Colourpointed of good shape and size. He is compact and shows good depth to his body. Round head with good width between small rounded ears. Eyes are large and round and pale blue in colour. Nose is short, broad and straight with full pink leather. Good bite. Round cheeks, firm chin. Coat is short dense and crisp. Points a bluey lilac, lacking a pink tone with a lovely full mask. Tail is thick and medium in length.

3RD MRS S FROST’S CRAZIPUSS SWEETWILLIUM (17) M 17/8/07

Cream who is a good shape and size but is a little underweight at present, possibly a working boy. Body is cobby in shape and he stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Head is round with good width between ears that are small and rounded at the tips. Large round expressive copper eyes. Nose is short broad and straight with full pink leather. Level bite. Cheeks full with firm chin. Coat is a cold toned cream; it is a little paler near the roots. Coat is dense, short and crisp and he is losing it at the moment. He has faint tabby markings showing on his body and legs. Tail is medium in length with rounded tip and showing rings.

Black Tipped of good shape and size. Cobby standing low on the legs which are short and strong and she stands on round firm paws. Round head with good width between neat ears. Round expressive eyes which are green in colour and outlined in black. Short broad nose with full brick leather also outlined in black. Level bite. Full cheeks but chin is a little weak. Coat is short dense and crisp but laying a little flat as she is lacking undercoat. Coat on the back, flanks, head, ears and tail evenly tipped with black and it is almost white. Legs show tipping. Chin, stomach, chest and under tail almost white. Tail in proportion to body, thicker at the base with a rounded tip.

AC BRITISH LIMIT KITTEN 1ST MRS E WILLIS’S LORRCLAWS CLOUDED-LEOPARD (30) M 26/3/09 – Brown Spotted.

He has a cobby body shape and he stands on short strong legs with rounded paws. Round head with good width between small ears. Head is set on a short thick neck. Large round orange eyes that are spaced well apart. Broad, short, straight nose. Cheeks are developing well and he has a firm chin. Good bite. Coat is short dense and crisp. Ground colour a rich copper brown with dense black spots. Pattern on the head shows a well defined M with spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to the ears. The pattern on the body shows numerous well defined oval spots which are linked at the moment on the shoulders and flanks. Tail is ringed and medium in length.

1ST MRS G DUNSTONE’S PURRISMO KIR ROYAL (15c) F 13/4/09

Lilac of good size and shape for her age and she has a lovely temperament. She is cobby in shape, stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Round head with rounded cheeks. Eyes are large round and expressive, orange in colour. Nose is short, broad and straight. Ears are neat and rounded at the tip with good space between them. Level bite. Firm chin. Coat is dense and a good length but just slightly soft to the touch on the day. The lilac has a distinct pinkish tone. Tail is in proportion to her body.

2ND MRS P POTTER’S KABENBE VANILLA SURPRIZE (17) M 28/1/09

Cream who is well balanced for type. Body is cobby in shape and he stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Head round with good width between small rounded ears. Large round expressive copper eyes. Nose is short broad and straight with full pink leather. Bite is slightly overshot at the moment. Cheeks full with firm chin. Coat is a pale toned cream and quite sound. Coat is dense, short and crisp showing ghost tabby markings today. Tail is medium in length with rounded tip.

3RD MRS H ROWE’S HEATHDOWN MAYBE BABY (39) F 26/3/09 – Black Tipped.

Cobby in shape standing low on legs which are short and strong and she stands on round firm paws. Round head with good width between small neat ears. Round expressive eyes that are pale green in colour and outlined in black. Short, broad straight nose with full brick leather which is also outlined in black. Level bite. Cheeks are nicely rounded but chin is very weak. Coat is dense and crisp but a little long at the moment. Almost white undercoat with the coat on the back, flanks, head, ears and tail evenly tipped with black. Legs are showing tipping which decreases towards the paws. Chin, stomach, chest and under tail almost white. Tail in proportion to body, thicker at the base with a rounded tip.

AC BRITISH NEUTER 1ST MR P BOOTH’S GR CH & PR KOLINGA COUGAR (16) MN 18/6/07

British Blue who is cobby in shape and stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Round head with good width between small rounded ears. Round expressive orange eyes. Nose short, broad and straight with full blue leather. Level bite. Cheeks well rounded with firm chin. Light blue shade to coat which is almost sound and it is dense, short and crisp. Tail medium in length, it is thick and has a rounded tip.

1ST MS N RYAN’S CURLU NEVE (79s 40 5) FN 19/4/08

Red Colourpoint Short Haired Selkirk Rex who is very laid back and loved to be cuddled. Very good type and balance. She is solid and muscular, has a good shape and stands on strong legs which are medium in length. Head is well rounded with full cheeks. Good shape to muzzle with well padded whisker pads. Top of the head gently rounded and her nose is short broad and straight and has a downward slant. Good bite. Ears are medium in size and spaced nicely apart fitting well into the contours of her head. Coat has a lovely soft texture; it stands out from the body and is random, unstructured with loose curls. It is very well rexed around the neck, tail and underparts. Tail in proportion to her body.

1ST MRS L LEE’S SILVERCLOUD ANGEL EYES (39) FN 26/5/08

Black Tipped of good shape and size. She is cobby in shape and stands low on short thick legs. Round head with ears that are small, rounded at the tips and spaced well apart. Round expressive green eyes that are outlined in black. Short broad nose which is short broad and straight with full pale brick nose leather lined in black. Level bite but chin a trifle weak. Coat is a little long at the moment but is crisp and shows an almost white undercoat which is tipped with black on body, head, ears and tail, it is very heavily tipped along spine and tail. Legs show slight tipping. Chin, stomach, chest and under her tail is almost white. Tail is medium in length and in proportion to her body.
