LONDON CAT CLUB SHOW

13 JUNE 2009 JUDGES REPORT

MRS CELIA DE MARTINO

My thanks to Maria and the committee for their kind invitation to judge here again. A friendly and well run show. I was ably assisted by Julie Wilkinson. This is the first time she has stewarded for me for ages. We had a good day and some lovely cats. She was good company and as usual handle the cats even the grumpy ones with her usual expertise.

AC NON-SELF PERSIAN PREMIER MALE

GPC WILLIAMS FIRANTY RIGHTSAID FRED

A beautiful red and white lad with a long soft silky well prepared coat. Mainly sparkling white with red to top of face going over head and ears, red tail with the red going slightly up his back, white vertical line above his nose. Excellent top of head, well set furnished ears, short broad nose with stop, pink nose leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round copper eyes a touch deep set. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, feet feathered, medium length tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

RES GPC TONKS GR CH & PR ZENDIQUE ATZARISBORN

A blue spotted tabby exotic lad with excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short broad nose with stop, brick nose leather, full apple cheeks, and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Large cobby rounded frame, short legs, rounded paws and a thick tail of medium length and in proportion to body. Face showing M to forehead, spectacles to eyes and horizontal lines from outer eye. Broken lines to chest legs and tail. Spots to tummy. Some spots visible on body, mainly from a distance. Well prepared summer coat but lacking in density, needs a lift. Excellent temperament and condition.

GPC SAUNDERS’ GR PR MYSTERE MAKINGASPLASH.

A lovely tortie girl with bold round orange eyes giving her an owl like expression. Well prepared soft silky coat showing excellent distribution of black and shades of red. Good width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and fairly short tail. Excellent condition and temperament.

RES GPC PARKE’S CR CH & PR LADYGEM INMYDREAMS.

Another lovely girl, a tortie and white. Mainly white with a coloured tail showing black and shades of red, colour over top of face and ears broken by the white. 3 patches of colour to back, colour and white to back limbs, front legs white. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold pale orange eyes. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, medium length tail in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky coat. Excellent temperament and condition.

WHITE ( ORANGE-EYED) ADULT

1 CC & BOB BANGS’ LAFREBELLA JOY.

What an exquisite girl so aptly named as she was a joy to behold. Sparkling white long soft silky well prepared coat, every hair separated, 2 fairly bold orange eyes peering out from a ball of cotton wool. Only 10 months old so eye colour still developing so more of a muddy shade of orange today. Excellent top of head and excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, lovely pink nose leather, full apple cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby compact rounded weighty frame, short sturdy legs hidden by fur, short full tail. Excellent temperament and condition. My choice for Best of Variety. Congratulations.

AC COLOURPOINTED OT MITTED RAGDOLL(INC RED & TABBY) KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB BEAL’S SONNIFACIO GENTLEMANRUFFIN .

A lovely seal colourpointed lad just under 9 months old with still a lot of growing and maturing to do. A good weight for age having a long muscular body with fairly long seal brown tail in proportion. Sturdy legs with rounded paws Good width and flat plane between well set slightly forward facing ears showing some furnishings. Eyes of mid blue set well apart slightly oblique in shape. Nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and slightly retrousse at tip. Brown nose leather. Good wide level bite, rounded cheeks and strong chin. Well prepared soft silky fairly clear creamy beige coat. Seal brown mask developing, rich seal brown ears and tail. Excellent temperament and condition, padding all the time.

2 DAVIES’ FELNSIO ADORING KALAN

Another lovely seal colourpointed lad nearly 7 month old, well grown for age, still a lot of growing to do. Excellent width and flat plane between well placed slightly forward facing ears, nose of medium length with gentle dip in profile, slightly retrousse at end, full round cheeks, level bite and firm chin. Eyes of medium blue set well apart and slightly oblique in shape. Good head shape. Strong muscular body, sturdy legs with rounded paws, fairly long seal brown tail. Good soft silky pale beige new coat coming from shoulders, the rest darker harsh and in need of much more show preparation.. Excellent temperament and condition.

AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL (INC RED & TABBY) KITTEN FEMALE

1 VALES ADNIOLO PHATPAWS BOOTIGIRL

A very laid back blue colourpointed girl coming up for 9 months old. Lovely well prepared fairly clear bluey white coat of silky texture but a touch harsh to base of spine. Good width and fairly flat plane between well set furnished ears, slightly forward facing, nose of medium length with gentle dip in profile, retrousse at tip, blue nose leather, rounded cheeks, level bite and firm chin. Round eyes, fairly deep blue, set wide apart and slightly oblique in set. Well grown for age, but still a lot of growing to do. Muscular frame, sturdy legs with rounded paws, fairly long tail in proportion to body. Blue tail and points, good blue mask developing. Excellent condition.

PERSIAN NON-SELF ADULT

1 HOWARD’S GR CH BIGWIG IN THE RED

A red and white bi coloured lad, mainly white with red tail and colour going slightly up his back. White sparkling and soft silky coat well prepared. Excellent top of head, well set furnished ears, red with white tips, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm red chin. Round well placed orange eyes. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and medium length tail in proportion to body. Red to top of head with white coming from nose over top of head. Colour and white to one limb and red patch to flank. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 BRITTLETONS CH LADYGEM PICASSO

Another lovely bi colour. A blue and white girl. Mainly white with blue patch on back, some colour to forehead and colour over one ear. Tail blue with small white spot to tip. Coat long soft silky and well prepared. Excellent top of head, well placed ears, short nose with stop, pink nose leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round, well placed eyes, fairly bold but would prefer deeper shade of orange. Cobby rounded frame, sturdy legs and tail of medium length in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition

3 COOKE’S CH HOITYTOITY WINSTON AV PERSIAN JUNIOR ADULT

1 WEATHERALL-KING’S ASHANEEKA BELLINA. A lovely blue tabby point colourpoint girl who was a bit of a wriggler today. Well prepared soft silky clear glacial white coat showing blue bracelets to legs on light beige background and blue rings to tail, base colour light beige. Mask to face, light beige with markings in blue, M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, lines from outer eyes, spectacles around eyes. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, brick leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, sturdy legs, tail of medium length and in proportion to body.

2 NEALE’S CH CUSHKA JUSTANILLUSION.

An exquisite chinchilla boy who ran winner close. Well prepared soft silky sparkling white coat lightly and fairly evenly tipped with black. Excellent width between well set furnished ears, short nose with stop, brick leather outlined with black, full cheeks, good bite, good chin. Lovely green eyes showing definition, could be bolder. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and fairly short tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

AV SLH NOVICE ADULT

1 UEBELE APPLAUSE POSITIVELY.

A lovely blue bi colour ragdoll lad with excellent width and flat plane between well placed furnished blue ears, slightly forward facing and of good size. Deep blue eyes set well apart and slightly oblique in shape, round cheeks, level bite firm chin. Nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and slightly retrousse at end. pink nose leather. Muscular frame with sturdy legs, rounded paws and fairly long blue tail. Well prepared light beige coat showing some white spotting. Blue to top of head and around eyes. White inverted V coming from forehead covering nose, whisker pads, chest and tummy. Front and back legs white. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 SIMMOND’S GAYEMAUDI CHINA DOLL

A seal point birman girl with well prepared silky fairly clear beige coat showing lovely seal brown points, mask and tail. Even white mittens and gauntlets to paws. Good width between well set furnished ears, nose of medium length with slight dip in profile, well placed almost round blue eyes, good bite and firm chin slightly receding . Strong muscular body, with sturdy legs and rounded paws. Full tail of medium length and in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

3 GRIFFITHS MUSCAR JENICOL DJEDEFRE

AV PERSIAN OR SLH (14 WEEKS – 6 MONTHS)KITTEN

1 PARKES LADYGEM BROWN SUGAR A gorgeous brown tabby and white girl nearly 4 months old and taking it all in her stride. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full apple cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, tail in proportion to body. Well grown for age. Well prepared soft silky coat, mainly sparkling white with colour and white to back legs, 3 patches of colour to back. Black tabby markings visible on warm brown background. Tabby markings to top of head with a white blaze. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 SEMOS PRIDNJOY BLUEBELLE

A lovely blue birman girl showing promise. Well placed furnished ears, nose of medium length with slight dip in profile, full cheeks, good bite and good chin receding slightly. Well placed almost round blue eyes. Sturdy body of good weight, strong legs and blue tail of medium length in proportion to body. Soft silky well prepared bluey white coat with nice blue mask and points. Even white mittens and gauntlets. Excellent condition and temperament.

AC RAGDOLL NEUTER

1 MULLETT’S GR PR RAGADORA WIHUPONASTAR.

A lovely seal bi colour lad with well prepared soft silky fairly dark beige coat with a white spot, Legs white. Seal brown to top of face, head and ears and seal brown tail. White coming from inverted V on forehead covering nose, whisker pads, chest and tummy which is also showing some shading. Excellent width and flat plane between well placed slightly forward facing furnished ears, nose of medium length with gentle dip in profile, slightly retrousse at end, pink nose leather, rounded cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Well placed deep blue eyes, slightly oblique in shape. Strong muscular frame, sturdy legs with rounded paws and seal brown tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 STANTON’S GR PR AZERPASHAN BOBBY DAZZLER

A blue colourpointed ragdoll lad Well prepared soft silky pale beige coat showing minimum shading. Nice blue points mask and tail contrasting well with his body coat colour. Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, slightly forward facing, round eyes of mid blue set well apart and slightly oblique in shape. Round cheeks, level bite and fairly firm chin. Nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and slightly retrousse at end. Sturdy weighty body strong legs, rounded paws and long blue tail coming to shoulders. Excellent temperament and condition.
