Report for London Cat show on 13.6.09

I would like to thank Maria and the committee for inviting me to judge at this lovely show, the standard of the cats was very high, I would also like to thank my steward Margaret dewhurst for her gentleness in handling the cats and looking after me so well.

AC Burmese GR PR Male (9 present)

GR PR Mrs Powers IMP GRPR MAINMAN RAJAH (27b) 11.8.03.

This super lad was just sparkling today, Large well balanced boy, excellent width to the top of the head with well spaced ears of good shape and size, eyes of very good shape with that typical Burmese expression, good profile short wide wedge and good width at the cheekbones, good nose break, perhaps for perfection a little more depth of chin, well muscled body with elegant legs ending in neat oval paws, tail balanced coat short and close lying of wonderful texture, overall darker even chocolate in colour. Shown in beautiful condition, this lad had an outstanding temperament he just purred all the time.

Another super boy with good width between the ears, good profile, ears of good shape and set and size, eyes good shape and size with that typical Burmese look, acceptable nose break prefer a little more depth of chin, short wide wedge good width at the cheek bones, body of good weight and size with elegant legs proportionate with the body, neat paws. Tail little short to balance, coat short and close lying of excellent texture, colour warm mahogany brown. Lovely temperament.

well balanced mature compact girl, excellent width to top of the head gentle rounding between well spaced ears of good shape and set. Good profile short wide wedge good width at cheekbones, good nose break depth of chin, eyes very expressive, body muscular with elegant slender legs neat oval paws, coat short and close lying when stroked of silky texture with healthy sheen, tail little short to balance, this sweet natured girl was shown in excellent condition for her age.

RES GR PR Ms Mays PR ARABRAB TENKA (27a) 27.3.07.

Gentle girl, good width to top of head, good profile and good nose break, ears medium in size eyes of good shape and set, prefer more depth of chin, good wedge, slender elegant legs ending in neat oval paws, coat soft and silky with silvering evident on rounded areas, coat appeared very slightly tipped in places gave benefit of doubt with light in the hall, well balanced girl.

Asian Tabby (spotted, classic, mackerel or ticked) Kitten (1 present)

1st W/H BOB Miss Kennys ELBANAY ANASTACIA BROWN (72 45 q) F dob 22.9.08.

Lively young lady, I would have preferred more width to the top of her head, gentle rounding between the ears. Slight flattening in profile which gave her that longer appearance to the head. ‘M’ on forehead, attractive pencilling on the cheeks. Acceptable nose break with medium length nose, brick pink nose leather. Would prefer slightly more depth to the chin. Ears medium to large in size, broad at the base with rounded tips. thumbprints behind the ears. Ears held a little high up on the head. Eyes of very good shape and size pale greeny colour with evidence of an aquamarine band of colour around the inner rim of the eye. Spectacles around the eyes clearly defined. Elegant body of good weight for her size which I would have preferred a little larger for her age. Elegant slender legs ending in neat oval paws. Smudges on the inside of the legs. Tail of excellent length and well balanced when bought round to the shoulder, Coat was overall very short in length with a glossy sheen. Overall 2-3 bands of ticking showing a darker spine line and ticking down the tail.

Young lad gentle rounding to the top of the head good width between the ears. Medium sized ears good shape and set, good profile good nose break, short to medium length nose, eyes of good shape and set, prefer maybe slightly larger. Short wide wedge good width at cheekbones. Body developing well with good muscle tone, elegant slender legs neat paws tail balanced slight tension feel to the end, coat short and close lying broken necklace, overall pale tangerine colour, gentle boy, BOB Mrs Foresque CH BLOOMERS BELCHAMPS BARON M dob 9.4.08. Lovely lad of excellent type, compact well balanced and muscular, excellent width top of the head, medium ears eyes large and lustrous with that wicked look. Body well balanced elegant legs neat paws, coat short and close lying tangerine in colour lovely texture, well presented.

Red Burmese Adult Female (2 entered )

Attractive girl, lot to say for herself, well balanced, excellent width between the ears gentle rounding top of head, good profile and nose break. Short Wide wedge, ears good shape and set, expressive eyes with that typical Burmese look, body well muscled elegant legs neat paws, coat short and close lying even tangerine in colour. Well presented.

2nd Mrs Kempes OAKENSHIELD ANNA KARENINA F dob 14.4.08.

Young adolescent girl, who really just needs to mature a bit more, super temperament, good width to the top of the head but holding ears a little high on the head, ears of good size and shape, short wide wedge good width at cheekbones, good profile super eye shape very expressive, elegant girl little long in the body, muscle still developing, elegant legs neat oval paws, coat short and close lying with lovely texture, pale tangerine in colour, young lady with potential well presented.

1st Mrs Bulls GRCH ADCINSH SOLITAIRES WISH (76b 30) M 11.1.05

Super lad excellent temperament of wonderful type, Broad medium wedge gentle curve in profile, large brad nose with puffed whisker pads, broad muzzle strong chin, medium ears, eyes of excellent shape and set, blue in colour. Muscular body, large rounded paws, tail medium length with rounded tip, spectacles around the eyes, large well-formed spots with a luxurious coat of excellent texture.

2nd Mr&Mrs Davis CH MAUISHA NEPHERHOTEP M 21.1.07. (78 30S)

another lovely boy, head of good type ears slightly large braod at base with ample width between them, eyes large almond shape , body long and graceful, elegant legs dainty feet, coat close lying with healthy sheen, randomly spotted, with some barring on front legs, just a little unlucky to meet the winner today.

Really pretty well balanced little girl, who had a lot to say for her self. Good width between the ears with gentle rounding to the top of the head. Good profile short wide wedge good width at the cheekbones. with good nose break and depth of chin, ears well spaced, broad at the base with rounded tips and desired forward tilt, thumbprint on the back of the ears. Eyes large and lustrous very expressive golden chartreuse in colour. ‘M’ on forehead spectacles around the eyes. Attractive markings on the face with well-defined pencilling on the cheeks. Body of medium size well balanced and compact, with muscle developing, legs elegant and slender in proportion with the body ending in neat oval paws, tail balanced. Coat evenly shaded overall with a pale silver ground colour. slightly darker in colour down the spine line, short and close lying being slightly longer in length along the spine line, excellent texture. Black colour extending up the back legs. Well presented promising young lady.

Attractive medium sized lad, with super temperament. Excellent width between the ears with gentle rounding to the top of the head, well spaced ears broad at the base with rounded tips. thumbprint behind the ears, with desired forward tilt. Good profile. Short wide wedge with good width at the cheekbones. ‘M’ on forehead, clear distinct pencilling on the cheek and lines over the head. Nose break medium length nose with good depth of chin. Showing white area under the chin up to the lips. Eyes large and lustrous with that typical expression found in Asian and Burmese Cats. Spectacles around the eyes, pale chartreuse in colour. Body compact and muscular, gently rounded chest and straight back. Slender elegant legs in proportion with the body, some barring up the legs with dark seal brown extending up the hocks. Neat oval paws. Tail well balanced medium thickness at the base with well defined ticking down the tail ending in a seal brown tip. Coat colour of rich warm seal brown on a beige brown colour. Slightly darker down the spine line with 2-3 bands of ticking overall. Very well presented a joy to handle. A mature lad who purred all the time he was being judged.

2nd Mrs Alp ADATESH THOMAS O’MALLEY (72 43bsq) MN dob 17.3.08.

A very handsome lad, gentle rounding to the top of the head with good width between well spaced ears. Slight flattening in profile with good nose break medium length nose, preferred perhaps a little more depth of chin. Short wedge with good width at the cheekbones. Ears medium to large with desired forward tilt, of good shape. Thumbprint behind the ears. Eyes of good shape and size chartreuse in colour. ‘M’ on forehead with stripes going over the forehead, attractive facial markings with spectacles around the eyes. Body of medium size muscle still developing. Legs slender and elegant with neat oval paws. Tail balanced. Coat short and close lying with glossy sheen satin like texture. Evenly shaded with warm milky chocolate colour and silvery white ground this lad is still maturing very well presented.

1st Mrs Waghs MAGICAL GOMEZ (33a 30s) MN dob 17.5.08.

This lad was of lovely type, he thoroughly enjoyed being judged and purred the whole time. Medium sized lad short broad wedge with high cheekbones large wide based ears and large oval eyes short nose with a definite stop, firm chin with a strong muzzle and a defined whiska break, a lovely pixie face. Slender neck hard muscular body broad chest, slender legs small oval paws. Coat was short and soft in texture being waved and rippled all over the body, excellent rexing. He presence. Very well presented.

2nd Mr&Mrs Chattertons TRESBEAU PURRADISE (68 43as) dob 8.7.08.

Sweet natured lad of good size and weight, needs to mature a little, good width between the ears with gentle rounding to the top of the head, slight flattening in profile, ‘M’ on forehead. Adequate nose break acceptable depth of chin, short wide wedge with good width at the cheek bones. Well spaced ears broad at the base with rounded tips showing tuffs and streamers from the ears. Eyes of good shape and set chartreuse in colour. Body still developing muscle with gently rounded chest, elegant legs neat oval paws. Tail well balanced. Coat overall well shaded with some evidence of silvering behind the neck and base of the tail underneath, would prefer more evidence of silvering. His coat was in lovely condition showing a well developed ruff, overall fine and silky in texture lying flat along the spine with a healthy glossy sheen. Medium in length, frills evident along the lower edges of the body, with a plume like tail. Overall dark blue markings on a paler ground colour.

ovely young lady, needs to mature but very promising, well balanced head large lustrous eyes very expressive, prefer more chin, medium sized girl good weight elegant legs tail balanced, coat lovely texture warm seal brown. Well presented.

2nd Mr&Mrs Alger-Street CH TYPHA BUFFOONBILLY (27c0 M

good sized lad, good width top of head medium sized ears, good profile eyes little on small side, chin set back a little, muscular boy, elegant legs, coat rather greasy lacking condition and slightly shaded. Sadly lacking presentation. Lovely temperament.

1st Misses Mooney & Reid GRCH MAINMAN KISSABLE (27b)

This girl is another example of that wonderful Burmese type her eyes have that wonderful expression shown in excellent condition I couldn’t fault her today.

This young large lad was again lovely little unlucky to meet the winner large muscular lovely eye shape prefer perhaps more depth of chin, well balanced super cat and texture

lovely natured lad, good width between the ears gentle rounding to the top of the head, slightly flat in profile giving longer appearance to the head, good nose break ears medium in size eyes good shape and set. Body good weight and size coat in excellent condition short and close lying dark seal brown healthy sheen, legs elegant neat paws, tail balanced.

2nd Mrs Cowans CH AMBASKIN SILVERMIST (27c)

sweet girl with very good width to top of the head ears good shape and set, eyes good shape although a little deep set, pale green in colour. Good nose break, body good size and weight elegant legs neat paws tail balanced, coat a little bit wholly in texture close and lying flat when stroked.
