May 2nd 2009
Dr BRUCE BENNETT
My thanks to the Club for their invitation to this busy Show ably overseen by Mrs Tomlinson and her colleagues, Msdms Spottiswood and O’Dowd. Ross Davies stewarded for me for the first time and I hope it won’t be the last as he was a super steward and I had a most enjoyable day; I trust he did too.
IMPERIAL CLASS. ORIENTA GRAND CHAMPION MALE.
IMP GR CC to ARMITAGE’S GR CH CHAPELROSE OHMEOHMY. (37a) 1yr 6mths.
Very striking and stylish boy with an excellent equilateral wedge head adorned by large ears spaced beautifully and flared in line, oriental shape and incline to his clear green eyes with a bold imperious gaze. Profile virtually straight, chin slopes back just a tad but muzzle has depth to it, incisors wayward but on average level. Body long and lithe, might have a hint more substance for preference, limbs and tail balance. Coat lies close and is of good soundness, typically slightly dull rather than showing the sheeniness of the blacks, very even blue shade.
IMPERIAL CLASS. ORIENTAL GRAND CHAMPION FEMALE.
1. IMP GR CC Withheld. CORBY & DOLAN’S IKISHIROO KIRASH TAMSIN. (37a) 2yrs.
Pretty lady though rather grumbly today. Good type with an even wedge, on which ears of size are well spaced and flared, eyes marginally open, just green around the pupils. Very good profile, chin slopes away a little, excellent bite. Medium body, feminine proportions, balancing limbs and tail. Excellent coat texture, even sound blue. Very pleasing but without quite the presence required in an Imperial lady today
HAVANA KITTEN, MALE.
1. BoB CASSAR-SIMMONDS’ FIORDILISO INFEDELITY. (29) 3mths 2wks.
Tot already showing distinction and very good type. Wedge long and even s[porting ears of good size and flare, excellent green oriental eyes. Profile virtually straight, muzzle of depth, formidably mature strong chin, incisors just meet. Well grown body, balancing limbs and tail. Coat still showing kittenish length and fluffiness, hardly a surprise at this age, excellent soundness, warm mid chestnut.
ORIENTAL SPOTTED TABBY NEUTER.
BoB. NELSON’S TIDDLYPOO JUSTIN TYME. MN (38d) 3yrs 2mths.
Boy of quite good type with a shorter wedge head, even, crowned by ears nicely spaced and flared though would prefer them just a little larger. Eyes of oriental shape, olive green in tone. Very good straight profile, chin slopes back gently, incisors just meeting. Firm body, proportionate limbs and tail. Coat of good close lying quality, tabby pattern is there on forehead, crown, nape, tail and limbs; spine a little indistinct as are the flank spots that show some linkage. Would like a little more contrast between its sound reds and the ground colour to throw the tabby features into clearer relief

1. CC. BoB UNDERHILL’S ADATEAM ANTAEUS. 11mths 3wks.
Youngster showing good sound type with a strong even wedge, spaced and flared ears of size, oriental shape and incline to his eyes of good blue shade.
