A summer to remember for the Selkirk Rex breeders, exhibitors and fans kicked off in grand style yesterday at the Somerset Cat Club and Merseyside Cat Club shows.
Cats vied for four certificates and all four were awarded! A fabulous achievement. The first 3 CCs were awarded to Wyrewood Conqueror and Curlu Piper by Mrs Pamela Wilding at the Somerset Show and to Curlu Nate at the Merseyside by Miss Charis White. The first PC was awarded to Crinkles Jack Frost by Miss Charis White at the Merseyside in a high quality class between Jack and his pals Amazolou Mister Fantastic and Amazolou The New Schmoo. Followers of the Selkirk Rex on Catplanet will recognise these cats who have all had wonderful show careers to date. Wyrewood Conqueror then went Best of Variety British Adult at the Somerset to cap a wonderful day and Curlu Nate had a RED CARD DAY. You can follow the progress of the Selkirks and the pursuit of titles on Catplanet over the summer as roving reporter Sarah Walker will be visiting shows and reporting back. Crinkles Jack Frost is pictured below with the First PC to be awarded to a Selkirk in the UK - Congratulations Owners Pat Creaton and Carol Walker and breeder Kelly Dove.
