John HanssonMerseyside Cat Club Show 2009Many thanks to everyone for what was as ever a most enjoyable show, the show team were absolutely great, excellent hospitality, some very good quality cats. To Sheryl Edwards who acted as my steward many thanks for your assistance & company. British Grand Premier, Male;GR PR ANDERSON-CARTER'S PR ROCADANNE BLACKJACK. 15. 04-10-07.Black, still a way to go in the maturity stakes. Head well rounded but could ideally be a little larger for the body proportions, rounded brow, chin & bite both good. Ears moderately small, set well. His eyes are a very good deep golden orange colour. Large solid body, deep chest, cobby compact shape, strong medium length well boned legs, round paws, the tail could be a little heavier to balance more fully. Coat quite thick & dense, slightly on the softer side. Colour a very good black, particularly in view of the recent spate of good weather. Condition was excellent, temperament very amicable, congratulations on his new title of Grand Premier. RES GR PR PALMER'S PR ZINGFRO RIO. 17. 26-07-06.Cream, in some ways the superior exhibit having the advantage of maturity. Excellent head, fully round, fat cheeks, slightly heavy brow line, broad nose, could use a little more chin, bite good. Neat well placed ears of smaller medium size, broad top. Eyes a little hooded due to the heavy brow, detract slihgtly from the round shape, very good orange. Excellent body, very chunky & solid, well boned legs, large paws, balanced medium length heavy tail. Dense thick coat, could be a mite shorter, somewhat soft. His cream colour marginally warm but not excessively & relatively even on the surface but rather too unsound. His condition & temperament both excellent. British Grand Premier, Female;GR PR JONES'S PR WELLMAR FELICITY FIREFLY. 22a. 23-10-04.Blue Tortie & White, well grown mature lady. Head has well rounded appearance with full cheeks, rounded brow, well developed muzzle, medium length nose, good chin & bite. Ears set well apart, medium size, fitting well into the head shape. Large well open eyes, the shape round, colour I would have preferred a deeper tone hers being a light golden hue. Excellent size, large cobby body, legs & paws well in proportion, moderately heavy medium length tail. Her coat has a reasonable length & very good density, it could have been a little crisper. Whilst generally well patched there are also some areas where it is a little more mingled than ideal & some scattered white hairs here & there, the white constitutes about 1/3 to colour, well presented, random & a little asymmetrical with white splodge on her nose & chin. The blue areas relatively soft with a marginally warmer cream tone, but reasonably sound, her condition & temperament both excellent. RES GR PR Not Awarded.2nd LEONARD'S CH & PR GRAYGEES SILVER TRINITY. 18. 23-10-05.Black Silver Tabby, this girl had very impressive type & could easily have won the class had her presentation (or more accurately lack of) not let her down so badly. Her type looked far better out, the head excellent, round & well filled, fat cheeks, broad muzzle, rounded brow, slight run off at the nose tip, excellent chin, level bite. Ears smaller medium size, set well without any distortion to the rounded head shape. Eyes large & round, excellent green colour, looking just a little moody. Excellent body, broad chest, good square frame, strong legs, good size paws, tail somewhat on the shorter side. Coat was quite a good shorter length, extremely dense but sadly extremely matted with clumps all over the body, the texture as a result was tacky & harsh. Good Tabby markings with the pattern elements all present but these were matt charcoal grey as opposed to dense jet black & the silver ground colour could have been a little clearer. Slightly reserved temperament, but her coat was not in anything like show condition. Original Foreign Grand Premier, Male;GR PR REEVES PR ANNERA LYNX. 23. 20-09-06.Usual Abyssinian, beautifully mature looking lad of excellent type. Moderate medium wedge showing the required gentle contours, gentle indent where the gently rounded muzzle flows into the cheeks, brow rounding gently to the barely perceptible gentle break in profile with a slight roll off to his nose, chin tapers a mite, very marginal over bite. Ears large & well cupped at their base, pricked alert appearance. Eyes with gentle slant to their pleasing fuller almond shape, very good green colour, black pigmented outer line. Strong beautifully muscular body, with well proportioned limbs, neat paws, broader base to his gently tapering tail of balance medium length. Coat close lying medium length with slight resilience present & as a result without undue softness. Flash form the eyes onto the brow with more solid coloured skullcap, beautifully ticked & banded throughout with slightly more intensity along the spine line & along the top of his tail to the solid black tip, heel marking could be a little higher, very faint residual well broken necklet otherwise completely bar free. His colour has a lovely bright apricot effect with intense orange undercoat, deep colour on his chest & tummy. Very composed & relaxed chap, his condition superb, I understand he was Best Foreign Neuter so many congratulations. I actually think Caroline would have been impressed with him herself. RES GR PR Not Awarded.2nd FLEMING'S UK IMP GR PR SHOELINA ZELENSKY. 16a. 09-05-00.Russian Blue, very long & elegant lad, just a little on the narrow side. Slightly longer length wedge from the eyes down, the muzzle showing a good degree of prominence, with puffed pads, flat forehead with gentle angle, created by a gentle concave curve at the nasal bridge, slightly longer length nose, good chin, bite not quite level appearing to have a slight misalignment, a missing lower canine accentuating this. Ears I would ideally prefer a little larger but these were well set with a pricked appearance & slightly pointed effect. Eyes have a pleasing wide almond shape with gentle slant & a very good green colour. Good neck, long elegant lithe body could ideally use a little more muscle tone, long slender limbs, neat paws, good length tapering tail mayhap a little fine. He has very good coat quality, showing the required double coat having a pleasing plush dense undercoat with soft fine top coat. His blue a slightly darker tone which is even, showing some silvery sheen created by the translucent tips. He has very interesting mottled skin where the thin area at the outer brow & below the ears. His condition was sound & a very gentle natured chap. Original Grand Premier, Female;GR PR DAL'S CH & GR PR POOLSIDE THUJALOLO. 33a 15. 28-08-01.Black Devon Rex, something of miscreant (to put it mildly), but not without a degree of impact. Very good head type, the wedge short & with very good width across the cheeks which are high & well defined, good whisker break, flat plane to the skull, with quite a good stop, short, nose, good chin & bite (would have loved to try it out). Ears are quite large with wide flare at their base held quite low but I would have preferred lower. Lovely eyes, the shape wide oval with a gentle slant, green in colour, flashing pure menace, quite a withering expression. Good neckline, body well its never nice to talk about a lady’s figure but she was no lady, so fair game, definitely of more rounded proportions (well fat actually) yet beautifully firm, quite slim legs, neat oval paws, tail a little on the shorter side. Well covered with a short dense coat, wave much more apparent on her neck, back legs & tail, the texture beautifully soft, the wave a little wider on the sides, muffs & tufts to her ears, some shorter broken whiskers. Her condition & presentation both excellent, temperament……… well let’s say something of a force to be reckoned with & takes no prisoners, not in your shrinking violet category. RES Not Awarded.2nd MARSHALL'S GR PR BANE AURELIO DEMELZA. 33 30d. 08-09-04.Red Spotted Cornish Rex, in many ways a fine exhibit. Marginally short wedge, with some whisker pinch to the slightly fine muzzle, quite good cheek line, flat skull between the ears with small break in profile, chin tapers back & the bite meets albeit it sloping. Ears marginally large, tends to drop a little low however much improved when she is alert. Her eyes have a full wide oval shape, set just a mite straight, very good yellowy green (all colours acceptable) colour. Body firm if marginally overweight but nothing excessive, with slight overhang of fatty tissue over the base of her tail (this is not intended as a criticism merely a comment, as it is attributable to her weight only), the tail as result though already a little short appearing shorter than it actually was, quite fine. Coat well covered & soft throughout, with a pleasing degree of fine wave, even the legs & tail, some curling whiskers & eyebrows. Condition & temperament both excellent. Siamese Grand Premier, Male;GR PR COPELAND'S GR PR FLOWERDEW GTX PECTATIONS. 24. 02-02-08.Seal Point, inordinately stylish exhibit with a great deal of the elusive ‘oomph’. Very minimal pinch to his longer length wedge, super profile, chin has a very slight taper but there is depth, good bite. Excellent wide flare to the ear base which complement the wedge size beautifully, large in size & excellent setting. His eyes are a very typical oriental shape & slant, marginally deeper in set than I would perhaps ideally prefer, with a pleasing depth to the colour, most expressive. Long elegant neckline, with a long taut muscular body, long legs, oval paws, long fine tail to give finish. His coat is short, close & well prepared, sleek glossy sheen. I have been mildly critical of his colour in the past but I have to admit this appears to be developing a degree of warmth to the shading, his points well contrasted the brindling much less apparent than on our previous encounter & again not appearing quite so cold. A superbly relaxed self confident chap who oozed quality & was absolutely charming, superb condition, later Best Siamese Exhibit, well justified. RES GR PR THORPE'S PR JOHPAS DROPREDGORGEOUS. 32a. 19-10-07.Red Point, another extremely stylish of quality & really unlucky to be in contention with the Seal lad, worthy in his own right at this level or higher. Excellent head with good depth giving strength to his broad even wedge, virtually straight profile, good depth chin bite good. Very large ears with beautifully flared wide base, held wide & low, excellent fixed position. Eyes have lovely oriental shape & slant, deep vivid blue tone & such a haughty arrogant expression. Good neckline, body long & well muscled, with long slim legs, neat paws, well balanced fine tail to complete. His coat was very close but appeared a little over-groomed, as a result whilst sleek it did not quite have the required degree of density. Very pale near white body colour with very slight glow of delicate shading, points to be really critical require a little more brightness to define the contrast more sharply. Super condition, a very handsome fellow, excellent temperament. Siamese Grand Premier, Female; GR PR Not Awarded.1st DAVIES'S PR RENDZINA PUSSY GALORE. 24n. 13-09-06.Caramel Point, I confess I felt a little guilty when I went back to her later for another class, as she looked much more relaxed & composed. Medium wedge of relatively even lines, profile could be a little stronger, narrow chin, rather severe gingivitis, but the bite otherwise good. Ears set well, good width at their base & good for size. Body is lithe & firm well proportioned overall, slim legs & neat paws, medium length quite well balanced fine tail. Her coat was beautifully prepared, close lying, acceptable length, excellent texture. Excellent contrast to her points the body has very minimal shading & the contrast is well defined her points are well matched but require more evidence of brownish overlay overall wit a little more warmth than I would ideally prefer with a touch more pink indicating Lilac than Caramel. Her condition was splendid, handled well a very gentle girl. Tabby Exotic Kitten 1st & BOB Not awarded.2nd. MITCHELL'S SLINKYPAWS BUDDY LOVE. 70 19. 09-09-08.Red Tabby, rather unbalanced looking lad who was the strangest colour red. His head is rounded with fullness apparent at the cheeks, slight bump on the skull, quite a deep stop, short nose, the nose leather itself large & well formed but rather high above the eye line, all exacerbated due to it being a very bright pink which further draws the eye, broad, deep chin, bite a little more under than I would prefer. Ears are set well if a little wide open at the base. His eyes, lack the round bold shape as per the SOP's, need to be larger & are a more slanted oval, the colour a khaki/olive green combination, he also had very sore looking lower rims. Body is well grown (if still a little on the long side) & he has good bone to the legs, large round paws, tail moderately thick & proportionate length. Coat laying a little flat, requiring a little more stand away & livelier appearance, could be a little softer, having a slight degree of harshness on the lower back. Some evidence of cheek stripes, with 'M', on the brow, butterfly over the shoulders is very indistinct also the back lines, he does have oysters on the flanks, broad leg bracelets & tail bands. Now we come to the colour description which really is incredibly difficult to convey & not a colour I have seen before, it is a very cold flat red with greyish bands between the hairs creating the impression that he has just walked out of a house fire, as a result the contrast between the pattern & ground colour is not very well defined, the inner ear furnishings have an even greyer tone, he has incredibly bright pink paw pads. Overall eyes apart his condition was sound, not exactly the most amenable of temperaments, something of grouch. Mitted or Colourpointed Ragdoll Kitten;1st & BOB. BARTON'S WAGDOLL TOFFEE APPLE. 66a. 05-11-08.Blue Colourpointed, a most pleasing well balanced girl. Head showing good width across the cheeks, with a well developed muzzle, profile shows a flat plane to the brow & gentle dip to the slightly retrousse nose, chin could use a little more depth as it tapers some, bite good. Ears medium size, set well apart, rounded tips, good inner ear furnishings with slightest tilt forward. The eyes are quite large, gentle oblique setting, the colour requiring a little more depth & brilliance. Body was firm & well proportioned, developing length, good bone to the legs, round paws with tufts, gently tapering tail still to attain a fuller brush. Coat good length, well prepared, no ruff as yet, reasonable knickerbockers. Has some tonal flank shading developing, cool toned body, well matched mid blue points. Temperament & condition both excellent, love the Prefix, what could be more suitable for this breed, Ragdoll with a lisp. Russian Blue Adult, Male; CC Not Awarded.1st LECK & JENKINS'S REKSIF DANUBE DANCER. 07-02-08.As yet this is a very unbalanced looking lad, looking very much the gawky adolescent. Moderately short wedge from the eyes down, but his wedge too even with no real prominence to his whisker pads, as a result the muzzle looks a little snipey & fine, has a flat plane to the brow but the profile lacks the required gentle concave curve & as a result there is no angle, good chin & bite. Ears could be a little larger & he holds these at a slightly more angular setting towards the side of the head. His eyes are a good fuller almond shape, but still showing quite an amount of blue to the colour. Body is firm & showing good muscularity, with long slim legs oval paws, broader base to his gently tapering well balanced tail. Very good coat showing good evidence of double coat, quite a thick plush undercoat with soft top coat, medium length. Even mid blue tone with some ghosted tail rings, silvery sheen on the shorter areas. His condition was excellent, very relaxed fussy temperament. Russian Blue Adult, Female; CC Not Awarded.1st FLEMING'S SHOELINA TAHITI TROT. 24-08-08.This girl has really lovely type but has a considerable amount of growing up to achieve before she is going to reach certificate level. Overall very kitten like in size & development. Head excellent type, wedge short from the eyes down, good width, showing a very good degree of prominence to the muzzle with her puffed pads, flat plane in profile, pleasing slight concave curve to create the angle effect, good chin & her bite also. Ears large, good width at the base, pricked tall & alert, pointed effect to their tips. Lovely eyes, wide almond shape, very good green colour. Body lithe & as yet very petite & dainty, looking very kittenish even taking her very young age into account, slender limbs, very neat dainty paws, well balanced tail. Coat whilst very soft in texture is still a little flat & will no doubt have to wait till later in the year to acquire the thicker dense undercoat to attain the required double coat. Quite a good shade of blue, still to show more evidence of silvery sheen & she is a present still showing some juvenile ghosting in parts. Her condition was excellent, quite wriggly excitable young girl, needs to mature but has plenty of time to do so, very promising. Considered for & Awarded BOB. FLEMING'S GR CH SHOELINA NINA MILKINA. 23-03-07.I very much like the type of this girl which remains the consistent factor regardless of her coat changes. Lovely head, short wedge, excellent prominence to the whisker pads, gentle angle in profile at the brow where there is a gentle concave curve, her chin is good, as was the bite. Beautifully set ears which are quite tall & stay in a fixed position, sparse inner ear furnishings. Eyes of excellent green colour the shape fuller almond with gentle slant. Good neckline, good length body but requires a little more muscle tone, slender elegant limbs, neat paws, slightly broader base to the gently tapering tail of well balanced length. In her summer coat which was a little flat & appearing almost close lying as a result, lacking the density to the undercoat to give it the plushness required. Colour a pleasing soft blue with a good degree of silvery sheen created by the translucent tips. Her temperament was quite charming & her condition excellent. Korat Adult, Female;1st CC & BOB. HAWKINS'S CH HIGHBREEZE NIMNUAN LALIWAN. 12-07-00.Very attractive lady with such a gentle demeanour. Heart shaped face when viewed from the front with width both across & between the eyes, gentle rounding to the muzzle, flat forehead, with gentle curve & slight stop, good chin. Ears are moderately large, with good flare at the base, set quite alert & quite high, very spares inner furnishings. Large eyes which did dominate the head due their prominence, very good green colour with a very good degree of luminosity, round in shape. Medium size well proportioned body with the characteristic semi-cobby shape, good legs & paws, tail with its slightly heavier base & well tapered is a little short. Single coat of medium length, with fine glossy texture opening along the spine line. Medium blue colour ideally requiring a little more evidence of tipping to create the silver effect to the hair tips, split blue/lavender nose leather. Her condition was excellent & her temperament extremely gentle. Russian Blue Neuter, Male;Considered for & Awarded BOB. FLEMING'S UK IMP GR PR SHOELINA ZELENSKY.Sphynx Adult, Male;1st IC & BOB. DEAN'S AMOROGUE MORRIS MINOR. 84 31. 03-11-07.Black Bi-Coloured, this lad is a very good example of his breed & was well justified in being one of the first to attain an IC. Head modified wedge, longer than its width with sculpted line to define the prominent cheeks, good whisker break, prominent whisker pads, slightly rounded skull with flat plane to the forehead, profile has a gentle stop at the nasal bridge, very good chin (by Sphynx standards), bite level, some staining to his canines. Ears are very large with wide open base, slightly angular pricked setting with rounded tips. Eyes large with slight slant to enhance the full lemon shape, green tone. Elegant neckline, wonderful firm well muscled body, good breadth across the chest, well proportioned legs with long finger like paws, which give the impression of walking on cushions (very apt description in the SOP’s) due to the deep paw pads, the effect enhanced his case due the black pads, long almost prehensile fine tail. Very, very fine down effect over the entire body with a peachy effect, a little more fur evident on the bridge of the nose. Clean white areas, with well defined black, the black spot on his nose leather very attractive all enhanced by the symmetry (though not counting in SOP’s). His condition was truly excellent & his temperament was exceptional. Red Point Siamese Adult, Female;1st CC & BOB. STORK'S WICCANWAYS WINTER SOLSTICE. 06-11-07.Whilst not perhaps the flash of some was nevertheless a well balanced girl, with excellent body. Head medium length almost even wedge, good profile, chin has good depth, bite good. Ears placed well apart, wide base, good for size. Eyes very typical oriental shape & slant, vivid blue colour, slightly apprehensive expression. Body is beautifully firm, excellent weight & tone, slim legs, neat paws, fine tail a little short with very slight irregular tip. Coat could be a fraction shorter, but otherwise close & well prepared. Some light tonal shading, points quite a bright shade of red, colour pale on the front stockings. Condition & temperament both excellent. Blue Point Siamese Neuter, Female; PC & BOB Not Awarded.1st BLACKBOURN'S PLEZETOBE PARDON MYFRENCH. 18-04-07.Handled but very briefly, extremely agitated & aggressive, pity as her type is good, but with this attitude, I am sorry she is just not conducive to being shown, she will at some stage bite. Very petite young madam who is overall rather dainty but that said very well proportioned overall, good length slender body, slim legs, tiny paws, fine whip like tail of near balanced length. Not a long wedge but even, tiny dip in profile, chin requires a little more depth, bite not checked for obvious reasons (why push your luck!). Excellent ears, very good larger size, well open base & very well set. Eyes have lovely oriental shape & slant, excellent deep blue colour, rather menacing expression. Coat quite a good shorter length, very close lying & well prepared. Medium blue toned points well contrasted with only slight amount of shading to her cool glacial toned coat. Her condition & presentation both excellent, such a pity she such a……………minx, her name implies this has always been an issue or has she grown up with a complex!. AV SLH Senior Neuter;1st BURGESS'S GR CH & PR COONARIA SHAMWARI. 64 41. 28-04-07.Brown Tabby Maine Coon, a case in point where ‘a cat is not just the sum of its parts but the sum of its whole’, wonderfully imposing & extremely impressive looking lad who reclined most regally for effect. Large masculine head of strength, a little longer than wide, with excellent high well defined cheeks, broad square boxy muzzle, profile has a gentle concave curve, excellent strong broad chin, bite a fraction over, untidy & with sore gums. Huge ears which are wide at the base, well furnished interiors, large tufts but rather a wide angular setting. Lovely eyes, large, round in shape, slightly oblique setting, very good green tone. Strong neck, beautifully developed long rectangular body shape, wonderful muscle tone, strong well boned legs, large paws with tufts emanating from beneath, long flowing well furnished tail. His coat has very good SLH length, with a full ruff & britches, shaggy on the tummy, beautifully prepared. Well defined pattern showing the required elements, well striped cheeks, ‘M’ to the brow, butterfly over the shoulders (albeit it smudged), oysters on the sides, well marked leg bracelets, tail a little solid but rings just about present on the underside, colour well up the hocks, paler chin. His Colour has a pleasing warmth & excellent contrast. His condition was splendid & such a composed gentle nature, to some up, so his ears aren’t ideal but just look at the rest. 2nd WALKER'S PR LACHMERE LALITA. 13c 18. 22-06-05.Lilac Tortie Tabby Birman, most attractive lady full of typical ‘Birman’ huff & puff. Lovely face, good breadth across the well developed cheeks, pleasing broad muzzle, head rounds gently & she has correct slight profile break, good depth chin which tapers gently from the muzzle, bite level. Ears medium size & well placed, good inner furnishings. Eyes large almost round shape, very good depth of blue. Body was firm & well proportioned possessing good weight, well boned legs, short paws, well furnished brush tail of balanced medium length. Coat beautifully prepared, with a very good full ruff to frame the face, slight curl on the tummy, the coat has a very good density & soft texture. Delicate magnolia body, subtle tracings with cream & soft toned lilac on all the points, her gloves were even & well matched, gauntlets tapered to about ½ inch below the hock, good boots all in clean white. Her condition was excellent & despite her air of chagrin was actually very easy to handle, just wanted to be a drama queen. 3rd SWINBURN'S PR STUKELIN ROARING THUNDER. 64 31dt.AV Foreign Novice Kitten;1st ANDERSON'S NIDORAN SHONA LULU. 33a 30bs. 16-12-08.Chocolate Silver Spotted Devon Rex, if she is silver, it is not very evident. Head on the type is pleasing, with high cheeks, well defined, quite a good whisker break, puffed pads creating a good muzzle, flat brow between the ears but her lack of stop lets her down, having only a shallow break, good strong chin by Devon standards but with quite as degree of acne, bite good. Whilst by no means small I would prefer the ears larger & little wider & lower in set ideally (must be my age, but this element is no longer as evident as used to be the case), small tufted tips & with some muffs at their base. Large full oval shaped eyes, of light gold tone with just enough evidence of gentle slant, slightly quizzical/mischievous expression that is typical of a Devon. Body has excellent firm muscle tone, good breadth to the chest, well proportioned legs & paws, well balanced medium length tail. Body covered albeit light down on the tummy, thin & reasonably soft on the sides slightly longer on the back & top of the tail, but here there are quite a few longer coarser guard hairs, with as result a rather harsh feel to the coat, she has yet to acquire her wave, slightly more evidence becoming apparent on the legs. No points for colour or pattern, but I could find no obvious sign of being silver, dark chocolate & I go along with the spotted pattern which was apparent. Very sweet nature, excellent condition. AV Oriental Adult;1st HARVEY'S FIORDILISO CUBA. 29. 26-08-08.Havana, still quite fine boned for a boy but at only just over 9 months he has plenty of time on his side to mature more fully. That said he is nonetheless very stylish & excellent type. Longer length even marginally narrow wedge, lovely profile, excellent chin, bite good. Ears large, well flared base complement his wedge, beautifully set when he is fully relaxed. The eyes are a very impressive oriental shape & slant combined with a very good bright vivid green colour, excellent expression. Elegant neckline, long lithe pubescent body still to acquire the benefit of maturity to give him a more masculine substance but very promising just the same, slender limbs, long beautifully balanced fine tail to balance. Close lying very sleek coat, very good shorter length. Rather dark Havana colour requiring more evidence of rich chestnut, but on the plus side, glossy & sound. Wonderfully composed youngster, excellent condition, promising lad. 2nd HUDSON'S CH SHADOWSQAUD ANGELO DARKNESS. 37. 26-09-07.Black, very attractive & feminine lady of well balanced type. Head requires a little more depth ideally, very slight muzzle pinch, tiny dip in profile, slight taper to the chin. Lovely ears, set wide apart, with wide base & very good larger size. Intense vivid green eyes, the shape & slant both very typically oriental, slightly more wicked expression would be beneficial. Elegant neckline, excellent lithe toned body, slender limbs neat paws, fine whiptail of good length. Coat could be a little shorter ideally & loses out to some degree on sleekness as a result, but close lying & good texture. Glossy jet black with the exception of the odd white hair, which under show conditions almost invariably scream at you. Her condition & temperament both excellent. AC Oriental Not Bred by Exhibitor;1st HOGAN'S CH SENSUAL MIDNITEMAGIC. 37. 10-08-05.Black, more mature & possessing a little more head strength than the girl above. Very well balanced even wedge, tiny bump in otherwise strong profile, good depth chin. The ears are large, flared base to complement the wedge, very well set. Eyes a most pleasing bright green colour, very good expression. Firm well toned body of good length, slim legs, oval paws, well balanced fine tail. Short close lying coat, very good sleek finish. Good black which was sound but required a slightly glossier sheen. Excellent condition, very relaxed confident temperament. Very well balanced even wedge, his profile whilst not perfectly straight does not detract, chin has good depth but tapers a little, bite marginally over. Excellent ears, well placed, wide apart, flared base, lightly furnished. His eyes marginally wide but nevertheless a very good oriental shape & slant, with a lovely bright green tone. Good length of neck, really excellent strong long muscular body with long slim legs, small oval paws, long whip tail with slight tension at its tip. Excellent coat, very sleek finish, very good shorter length & laying beautifully close, lovely texture. Inverted white on his mask & right ear tip, with the white extending through his chin, chest, tummy & under parts, with white also on the legs, small black spot on his nose leather, black on the remainder of his face & ears, with good glossy black on his body, a little infringement of white hairs here & there. However on the plus side of which there are many, her type is excellent, she has a beautifully balanced equilateral wedge, very good profile, perfectly adequate chin. Large (to understate) no I have to admit very large ears with huge wide flared base, difficult to get her to prick then just enough to take the tips above the head line, her supremely relaxed composure not helping in this department. Gorgeous eyes, such a chiselled oriental shape & slant, deep intense blue colour & wonderfully utterly superior expression. Elegant neckline, lithe long well toned body, with long slim legs, dainty paws, well balanced fine whiptail. Superb coat quality, beautifully close lying & very good shorter length, the texture has a wonderful sleek glossy finish. Her body has some shading but warm enough to carry it off, with well defined tracings on her face, excellent thumbprints, good leg bracelets & tail rings. Condition was splendid & her composure superb. 2nd DAVIES'S BURNTHWAITES SUPERTROUPER. 24a. 15-08-08.Blue Point, still a little unbalanced & very dainty & lithe but now starting to develop & fill a little. Medium wedge, some muzzle pinch, bump on the back of her skull dip in profile, muzzle a little fine, chin okay, bite a little untidy. Her ears are huge with particularly wide flared base & held low & a little bonneted, with the tips dropped a little. The eyes are marginally small & a little deep set, the shape perhaps a little extreme, the colour appeared to be very good shade of blue. Body long & lithe, still on the narrow side but has the advantage of youth to fill her out a little & grow on more as she matures, slim legs, very petite paws, fine whiptail with small irregularity at its tip. Coat could be a little shorter, but close & well prepared. Body has quite a cool tone with excellent contrast to her softer mid blue points colour which was well matched. Eyes have a very pleasing oriental shape & slant, the colour by no means pale could be just a little more intense & a touch more brilliant, excellent superior expression. Good length of neck, wonderful body, extremely well muscled & excellent length, well proportioned legs & paws, good length fine tail. His coat was short & fitted tight, with lovely sleek sheen, well prepared. Very stylish head type, good length even wedge, very good profile, good depth chin & good bite. Large ears, wide at the base, excellent set. Eyes possess a very good oriental shape & slant, very good depth of blue to the eye colour, lovely expression. Very good length of neck, long firm body, long slim legs, small oval paws, fine whiptail. Her coat was close lying if a little on the longer side, excellent texture, well prepared. Body has slight amount of shading to the creamy ivory tone, excellent contrast but in the pen my initial impression was Seal Point, closer inspection indicated very dark chocolate requiring more warmth to the colour, some spectacles but otherwise quite well matched, just a little paler on the stockings. Her temperament was charming & her condition & presentation both excellent. AC Siamese/Balinese Non-Breeders Kitten;1st CASSAR-SIMMONDS'S SHADOWSQUAD PRADA. 32b 1. 23-01-09.Seal Tortie Point, most attractive little baby, beautifully ensconced in her nest of blankets, completely composed. Quite a short wedge but with impressive even well balanced lines for her very young age, profile developing well, good chin & bite. Lovely ears beautifully set, wide base to complement the wedge, very impressive larger size. The eyes have a lovely deep blue colour & an excellent oriental shape albeit just a tad straight & perhaps marginally deep set, gorgeous expression nonetheless. Dainty little person, but well proportioned with slender limbs, tiny paws, fine whippy tail. Close coat though still just a little wispy at the edges, well prepared & lovely texture. Virtually clear coat of off white, with excellent contrast to her beautifully mingled points, warm seal brown with shades of mainly paler reds at present but one or two areas were brighter. Her condition was splendid & her temperament quite charming, delightful & very feminine. End of Report.
