Thank you to Brenda, Jean and Inez for the invitation to judge. I had a lovely day in the company of Richard Lord who as always is a capable steward and very pleasant company.

AC PERSIAN NON SELF CHAMPION MALE

 

GR CC MRS N LEES’S CH SHEERBLISS OHSO THEO (70 12a7t) M 14/4/07

Cream Tabby and White Exotic of lovely well balanced Persian type. Well grown boy who is cobby and stands on thick strong legs on large round firm paws. Large round head with excellent width between neat well furnished ears. Round eyes of a very good copper colour. Short broad nose with good stop. Good bite. Full cheeks, strong chin. Lovely shade of cream displaying deeper cream tabby markings with white to face legs and undersides and part white collar. Coat is dense and plush, standing well away from his body although he is lacking some undercoat at the moment. Tail is well ringed and in proportion to his body. Lovely temperament.

2ND RES GR CC W/H MRS T BRAY’S GR CH VIVALDI STRAND OFGOLD (54) M 16/8/03

Golden male of good size and shape. Lovely balanced Persian type. Large round head with excellent width between neat well furnished ears. Expressive round emerald green eyes that are lined in black. Short snub nose with full brick leather lined with black. Bite is slightly undershot but acceptable. Full cheeks, strong chin. Coat needing more preparation today, it is very cold in tone and very grey at the roots and not giving a Golden impression at all. Undercoat very grey looking and not apricot. Full brush. He was not at all happy being judged. I love his type but I’m afraid the coat really let him down today.

1ST GR W/H MR & MRS ANGUS’S CH PALCHINNO SEANYMPTH (12 2) F 10/04/08

Dilute Tortie and White. Good shape and size being cobby and standing low on the legs. Round head needing more width between her ears. Round copper eyes. Broad nose with good break and full leather. Good bite. Cheeks could be fuller with firm chin. Coat nicely patched with a medium shade of blue and a good shade of cream. White collar and underparts. Coat needing much more preparation and there is staining on her face and front legs. Tail fully furnished and in proportion to her body. Young girl needing to mature a little more for this top award.

GR CC MR & MRS ASHWORTH’S I GR PR RAGALYN BLUELAGOON (66 31a) MN 27/4/04

Blue Bi colour Ragdoll of lovely balanced type, so laid back that he is almost horizontal, in fact he just wants to lie down on the trolley all the time. Body is long and muscular and his legs are medium in length and he stands on large round paws which are well tufted. Broad head with flat plane. Ears are medium in size, set wide apart and slightly tilted forward. Large deep blue eyes which are set slightly oblique. Medium length nose with a gentle dip. Level bite. Full cheeks with well rounded muzzle. Points colour is a bluish grey. Back is a bluish grey with patches of white. Balanced inverted V on face. Bib chest and underparts white. Coat well prepared, silken in texture and medium in length. He is easily within the standard for white. Long and bushy tail.

RES GR CC MRS D NEWMAN’S PR DAIRYMAINE KASABIEN (64 19) MN 3/8/06

Red Tabby Maine Coon. Body of good length, solid and muscular showing the characteristic rectangular appearance. Head medium in length with ears that are large and tall, well tufted and tipped. Full and round gold coloured eyes. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Muzzle is square with fairly full cheeks. Level bite. Well prepared coat which has a lovely silky texture and is a good length and is displaying excellent classic tabby markings. M to forehead, spectacles, spotted whisker pads and thumbprints to ears. Good butterfly across shoulders with oyster to both flanks. Spine lines are apparent with good barring to legs. Rich red markings on a bright apricot ground colour.  Tail easily reaching the shoulders, well furnished and well ringed. Excellent temperament.

GR CC MR & MRS ASHWORTH’S UK GR CH & UK I GR PR EMERISLE DIAMANTE (66 31) FN 2/3/00

Seal Bi Colour Ragdoll. Body long and she stands on legs which are medium in length on large round well tufted paws. Head is broad and she has a flat plane. Ears are medium in size, set wide apart and tilted slightly forward. Large eyes of deep blue which are well opened and set slightly oblique. Nose is of medium length and has a gentle dip. Level bite. Cheeks well developed with rounded muzzle. Dense seal points which are matching. Back and sides predominantly beige. Mask has a balanced inverted ‘V’ of white. Bib, chest and underparts are white. Tail long and bushy.

RES GR CC MR & MRS BUNCE’S GR PR KEVERSTONE CLEMENTINE (64 31et) FN 11/2/07

Tortie Tabby & White Maine Coon of good size and shape. Long body of good weight showing the characteristic rectangular appearance.  Head medium in length with large tall ears which are wide at the base, well tufted, set high and well apart. Gold eyes which are full and round and set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Level bite. Muzzle square with firm chin. Cheeks could be a little fuller for perfection. Coat well prepared displaying excellent classic tabby markings. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints. Oysters and butterfly to body with good barring to legs and a well ringed tail all on a warm copper agouti ground which was overlaid with shades of red. Coat well prepared with ruff and breeches. White chest, underparts and feet. Tail broad at the base and reaching the shoulders easily, tapering slightly towards the end. She was very nervous today and did not show herself off at all.

Black of excellent size and shape with lovely balanced Persian type. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full black leather. Good bite. Full cheeks with firm chin. Coat well prepared, jet black and almost sound to the roots. A little grey to the underparts. Tail well furnished and in proportion to her body. A lovely young lady.

Red Persian much too pretty to be a boy! Lovely balanced type and a wonderful shape and size. Head is round and he has good width between his ears which are neat and well furnished. Round expressive copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Good bite. Full fat cheeks firm chin. Coat is a lovely rich shade of red and very well prepared. Tail well furnished and in proportion to his body.

2ND MR & MRS ANGUS’S ANSTEYN REDHOTCHILLIPEPPER (4) M 14/6/08

Red Persian who is a good shape and size. Well grown with good boning. Round head with good width between neat ears. Large round copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Bite slightly undershot but acceptable. Full cheeks. Coat is a rich shade of red, well prepared and showing very minimal tabby markings. Dinky tail.

3RD MRS S SMITH’S CH SOUTHKITTY TIGARTIM (4) M 19/5/07

Red Persian who is well grown. Head is round and he has good width between neat ears which are well furnished. Eyes are large but very pale orange in colour and showing a green rim. Nose is broad and has a good stop. Cheeks could be fuller. Bite is slightly undershot. Coat is very short and orange in colour rather than red. Tail in proportion to his body.

Red Tabby point of excellent well balanced Persian type. Cobby body on short legs. Large round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive eyes of pale blue. Short broad nose with good break. Good bite. Full cheeks. Nice shade of red to points with mask not quite full. Faint M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to ears. Faint barring on legs. Tail in proportion to his body and it is well ringed.

Tortie Tabby Colourpoint of good size and shape. Pleasing for type. Round head needing a little more width between neat well furnished ears. Round pale blue eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full brick leather. Bite is level. Full cheeks strong chin. Well prepared coat showing surface shading. Well defined tabby markings to face and legs. Seal points colour patched with shades of red. All points are broken with colour. Full brush with rings.

Blue Maine Coon. Excellent build to this young man, his body is large, solid and muscular with good breadth of chest. Substantial legs with large round paws which where well tufted. Medium sized head with large, tall ears which where wide at the base, well set and nicely tufted. Round gold eyes spaced nicely apart and set slightly oblique. Nose of equal width with a slight concave curve. Muzzle square with fairly full cheeks. Good bite. Tail long and at least the length of the back and tapering towards the tip. Well-prepared coat with ruff and breeches well developed. Lovely temperament.

2ND MRS H CLAYTON’S LYNDONGRAEY THE SURVIVOR (64 41d) M 20/6/08

Red Tabby Maine Coon. Body of good length, solid and muscular showing the characteristic rectangular appearance. Head medium in length with ears that are large and tall, well tufted and tipped. Hazel eyes that are full and round, spaced well apart ands set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Muzzle is square. Cheeks fairly full. Level bite. Well prepared coat with well defined Classic Tabby markings. M to forehead, spectacles, spotted whisker pads and thumbprints to ears. Spine lines and barring to legs. Rich red markings on a bright apricot ground.  Tail reaching the shoulders, well furnished and well ringed.

3RD MR & MRS HADEN’S KIRMINAC EBONY AND IVORY (64 31) M 11/6/08

Black and White Maine Coon. Excellent build and well balanced, being muscular and solid and standing on substantial legs with large rounded paws which are well tufted. Head medium in length with large tall well-tufted ears which are set high and well apart. Full round gold eyes that are set slightly oblique. Nose of even width with a shallow concave curve and full leather. Good bite. Square muzzle with firm chin. Cheeks full with high cheek bones. Well-prepared coat of jet black with full ruff and breeches White chin, chest, feet and underparts. Tail long and well ringed, easily reaching his shoulders and well furnished.

Tortie Tabby & White Maine Coon, well boned and of nice size and shape for age. Long body of good weight and muscle tone with the characteristic rectangular appearance.  Head of medium length with large tall ears which are wide at the base, set high and well apart. Gold eyes which are full and round and set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Level bite. Muzzle square with firm chin. Cheeks fairly full. Coat well prepared displaying well defined classic tabby markings. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints. Oysters and butterfly to body with good barring to legs and a well ringed tail all on a warm copper agouti ground which was overlaid with red. White tufted feet, underparts and chest. Nicely furnished tail, broad at the base and reaching the shoulders, tapering slightly towards the end with rings.

2ND MRS J JOINER’S KASSARO DUSTYSHADOWS (64 36) F 13/8/08

Black Smoke Maine Coon who is going through the adolescent stage at the moment. Body is rangy and she needs to fill out. Head a little small in length but has good width between large, tall ears that are well spaced and well tufted. Gold eyes that are well spaced and set slightly oblique but are rather small in size and deep set. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Good bite. Cheeks could be a little fuller. Muzzle fine with chin falling away a little. Coat well prepared. Silvery white undercoat deeply tipped with black. Extremities and face black. Tail long and at least the length of the back.

3RD MRS J MASKELL’S LYNXELOT CINNAMONSPICE (64 41g) F 17/5/08

Blue Tortie Tabby Maine Coon who is going through the teenage stage at the moment.  Body is long, but needs to fill out and she is a little underweight at the moment. Head is medium in length. Ears are large and tall, well tufted and well spaced. Eyes are full and round, golden in colour and set slightly oblique. Nose is uniform in width and has the required shallow concave curve. Good bite. Cheeks needing to fill. Chin a little weak and muzzle a little fine. Coat is well prepared and shows well defined classic tabby markings. She has blue markings on a cool beige agouti ground and they are overlaid with cream. Good oysters and butterfly with spine lines apparent. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, thumbprints to ears and spectacles. Tail long, reaching at least the length of the back and tapering towards the tip.

1ST BOB MRS A JONES’S COONFLAKES QUANTUMOFSOLACE (64 41dsw) MN 17/9/08

Classic Red Silver and White Tabby Maine Coon whom I judged a couple of weeks ago, he is a very promising young man and I look forward to seeing how he matures. Body is long, solid and muscular and he is standing on substantial legs on large round paws. Head is medium in length with ears that are held high and spaced nicely apart. Round gold eyes that are spaced well apart and set slightly oblique. Nose of even width with shallow concave curve. Level bite. Muzzle square needing just a little more fullness in cheeks. Coat is beautifully prepared displaying well defined Classic Tabby markings. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to ears. Well defined butterfly to shoulder area with oysters. Good barring to legs. Coat has a pale silvery red ground colour with red markings. White chest, feet and underparts. Nicely developed ruff and breeches. Tail well ringed and at least the length of the back.

2ND MRS B GRIFFITHS’S JAY SILVER HEELS (64 41sw) M 10/1/09

Silver Tabby and White Maine Coon who is well grown for his age and very promising, unlucky to come up against another lovely Maine Coon but his time will come. Body good length and he stands on substantial legs on round well-tufted paws. Head medium in size with large tall ears that are well tufted and spaced nicely apart. Full, round green eyes which are set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Level bite. Muzzle is developing nicely with fairly full rounded cheeks, chin firm. Well-prepared coat with ruff and breeches developing. Silver agouti ground with well defined dense black tabby markings. Good markings to head and legs. White chest, feet and underparts with white inverted V on face. Tail long, well ringed and reaching the shoulder blades easily.

1ST BOB MISS V ROSE’S SNOWCAPE KEYS (67 31ts) M 7/9/08

Well grown with good boning. Body long and muscular and he stands high on his legs with the back legs being longer than the front ones. Head is triangular with a long straight profile. Forehead is slightly rounded. Ears large with good width at the base and set high on the head. Eyes oval and set obliquely, alert and expressive. Good bite firm chin. Coat needing well prepared and showing a woolly undercoat which is covered by a coarser overcoat.  Ruff and knickerbockers are developing well. Tail long and bushy, easily reaching the shoulders.

1ST MR A ROWBERRY’S ROWGARNOR SKYBLUE (67 31ats) F 7/9/08

Blue Silver Tabby and White NFC. Well grown for her age. Body is long and muscular and she stands high on her legs with the back legs being longer than the front ones. Nicely tufted ears and toes. Triangular head with long straight profile. Forehead slightly rounded. Chin a little weak at present. Ears could be a little larger for perfection but have good width at the base. Eyes are oval and set obliquely, alert and expressive. Good bite. Well prepared coat showing the desired woolly undercoat which is nicely covered with a coarser overcoat.  Ruff and knickerbockers developing. Tail long and bushy, easily reaching her shoulders.

2ND MRS S HALL’S NORSKMAGI WHISPER (67 31ets) F 24/11/08

Silver Tortie Tabby and White NFC. Well grown young lady. Body is long and she has good bone structure. She stands high on her legs with back legs longer than front ones on large round paws which have tufts of fur between the toes.  Head is triangular and she has a good profile which is long and straight. Forehead slightly rounded. Ears are a little small but are set high on her head. Eyes are a little small and are obliquely set. Good bite. Chin a little weak. Coat is developing well but lacking the top coat as it is quite silky to the touch. Tail a good length and easily reaches the shoulder blades.

3RD MS J READ’S KYLERHEA INDIGO (67 22) F 25/10/08

Tortoiseshell NFC. Well grown with good boning. Body is long and strongly built. She stands well and her back legs are longer than her front ones. Head is triangular and her profile is long and straight. Rounded forehead. Ears are rather small but are set high and have good width at the base. Eyes are small and deep set. Level bite firm chin. Coat is semi long with a woolly undercoat covered by a coarser overcoat. Tail is long and bushy.

4TH MRS S HALL’S NORSKMAGI WHIMSEY (67 31ets) F 24/11/08

Silver Tortie Tabby and White NFC litter sister to the kitten placed second. I am afraid that I cannot say very much on this young lady as she would not be handled. My steward had to hang onto her as she was hissing and spitting so rather than upset her further we put her back.

1ST BOB MISS T WELLS’S GROOVICATS COSMOPOLITAN (66) M 11/10/08

Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll who is well grown for his age. Long body standing on legs that are medium in length on large round paws. Head is broad with a flat plane with good width between ears that are medium in size and tilted slightly forward. Eyes are rather pale blue in colour and are set slightly oblique; I would have preferred a deeper shade of blue. Nose is medium in length with a gentle dip. Well developed cheeks and nicely rounded muzzle. Level bite. Coat is well prepared showing surface shading but it is clearing from the roots. Coat is a lovely silky texture and medium in length and he has a ruff and knickerbockers. Points are seal brown and all matching except on the mask which is brindled around the eyes and he lacks pigmentation in this area. Tail long, bushy and medium in length.

1ST MS M GROUTAGE’S MINSTERMEWS COOKIE (66) F 15/11/08

Seal Colourpointed Ragdoll with a long and well built body for her age. She stands on legs that are medium in length on large round paws which are tufted. Her head is broad and she has a flat plane. Ears are medium in size, slightly tilted forward and set well apart. Eyes are large, set slightly oblique and pale blue in colour, would have preferred them to be a deeper shade of blue. Nose is medium in length needing just a little more dip. Level bite. Cheeks needing to fill but has a nicely rounded muzzle. Coat well prepared and silky in texture. Coat is showing quite a lot of shading on the body but it is clearing from the roots. Dense matching seal points with full mask. Tail long and bushy reaching the shoulders well.

BRITISH CREAM KITTEN

 

1ST BOB MISS L TRICKER’S MIBAYBESE ENTREPRENEUR (17) M 4/9/08

Cream going through the adolescent stage at the moment. Rather rangy in shape but type is quite good. He is a good weight for his age. Head is round and his cheeks are quite full. Ears are small, rounded at the tips and set nicely apart. Eyes are a good copper colour; they are large and well opened. Nose is short broad and straight. Good bite. Coat is a pale toned cream; it is a good texture and length and is almost sound. At the moment he is showing faint spotting on his body, barring on his legs and rings to his tail. Tail is thick and medium in length.

1ST MRS J RILEY’S LILACMIST ROLY POLY (40 5) M 20/1/09

Red Colourpointed. Good size and shape. He is cobby and stands on short strong legs. Round head with good width between ears that neat and rounded at the tips. Eyes are large and round and a pale shade of blue, I would have liked a deeper shade. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks needing to fill and he is a little muzzly at present. Coat is short dense and crisp and it is creamy white. Points are a rich red. There is faint barring on legs and tail and a faint M to forehead. Tail is thick at the base, medium in length and rounded at the tip.

2ND MRS L RICHARDS’S CHOCOLATE CHARMER (40 1) M 10/1/09

Seal Colourpointed who is very fine boned and dainty in appearance. Head is round and she has good width between ears that are a little large to balance with her head. Round pale blue eyes, would have liked a much deeper shade. Short straight broad nose. Good bite. Cheeks need to fill but she has a firm chin. Coat is quite shady but it is a good length and texture and tones with the points. Dense seal brown points which match. Tail is medium in length with a rounded tip.

1ST BOB MRS K HOLLOWAY’S KRUZINAL MACHARA (40 9) F 26/10/08

Chocolate Tortie Colourpointed. Body is cobby and she stands low on the legs on round firm paws.  Head is round and smooth with small neat ears that are spaced nicely apart. Large round two toned blue eyes, deepest intensity of colour is in the centre. Nose is short, broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks nicely rounded with firm chin.  Points colour is a warm chocolate broken with a rich shade of red. All points are broken with red. Coat is short, dense and crisp.  Tail is medium in length, thick with a rounded tip.

2ND LILACMIST LUCY IN THE SKY (40 5) F 20/1/09

Red Colourpointed who is well grown for her age. Body is cobby and she stands on short legs on round firm paws. Head is round and she has good width between ears that are small and rounded. Eyes are large, well opened and pale blue in colour, would have liked a much deeper shade. Nose is short broad and straight. Good bite. Cheeks needing to fill and she is a little muzzly at present. Coat is creamy white and is short, dense and crisp. Points are a rich red showing slight barring to legs and rings to tail. Tail is medium in length and balances with her body.

1ST MRS J NICHOLAS’S GEMKIN BLUE LIGHTENING (12a2) M 13/10/08

Blue and White Bi Colour. Very nice young man and nicely balanced for type. Cobby in shape and standing low on the legs. Round head with good top and neat ears. Short snub nose with good break. Large round expressive orange eyes.  Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat of sparkling white and a medium blue. He has a white chevron on his face, white collar and underparts and his body is nicely patched. Tail in proportion to body.

1ST MRS L WILSON’S TYTHERTON CAN’T BUY MELOVE (12 2) F 3/11/08

Dilute Tortie and White has to be my take home kitten of the day. Sweet expression and lovely balanced type. Head is round and she has good width between neat ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short snub nose. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Coat well prepared and nicely patched. Showing both colours to face with white and body well patched. Both colours to tail which is in proportion to her body.

2ND MR & MRS OLLIER’S OCCLESTONE CHARLOTTE (10) F 5/2/09

Wee dot of a Chinchilla. Sweet baby who just loved to be handled. Cobby shape. Head round with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive emerald green eyes. Short broad nose with brick leather outlined in black. Good bite. Well prepared coat showing a pure white undercoat which is evenly tipped with black. Dinky tail.

1ST MR & MRS CAWLEY’S CHATMARE BRODIE (13c1) F 10/10/08

Seal Point Birman well grown for her age and pleasing for type. Head broad and rounded with ears that are medium in size and spaced well apart. Eyes that are almost round and a lovely shade of blue. Nose of medium length with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Cheeks needing to fill a little. Well prepared coat showing very little shading displaying dense seal points. Even pure white gloves that are scalloped with socks which are medium in length. Good length to gauntlets. Tail short and bushy.

1ST MISSES CREATON & WALKER’S CURLU NATE (79L 15) M 19/4/08

Long Haired Black Selkirk Rex who felt solid and muscular. Body is a good shape and he stands on strong legs which are medium in length. Head is broad with rounded contours. Nose short and broad with a downward slant. Ears are medium in size and are set well apart. Eyes are large and round. Cheeks are full and he has a well padded muzzle which is rectangular in shape. Good bite. Coat was wonderful it was thick and dense and it was random with loose curls and waves all over. He looked very disheveled! Thick tail with rounded tip.
