JOYCE GREEN REPORT ON THE NATIONAL SHOW 2009

A busy show which seemed to run very smoothly and attracted a lot of visitors. I am grateful to my hardworking steward, Rachel Flint, who battled her way through the crowds. I look forward to our next meeting.

IMPERIAL: AV FOREIGN GRAND PREMIER: MALE

IMP GR PR PATEY CH & GR PR MYCENE MACGREGOR 23e

Mature well structured boy, lithe muscular body on well proportioned limbs, very good tail. Short fine coat is dense, lying close to the body, distinct fawn ticking on fawnish cream base, well defined markings to head, dark heels, tail tip. Moderate head gently contoured, large cupped ears set well apart, slight nose break in profile, slight indentation forms the slightly rounded muzzle. Wide-set large expressive eyes. A shy but gentle friendly fellow.

RES ELDRIDGE GR PR FRILFORD FUSILIER 72 43s

Another mature boy of very nice type , firm and muscular, well proportioned tail and limbs. Short fine coat lies close and has satin-like texture, very good even shading on clear silver base; he has a lustrous appearance. Well shaped head, short wedge, width at jaw hinge, definite nose break in profile. Ears of good shape are set well apart and balance the head, large lustrous green eyes show very nice expression. A good natured boy.

IMP GR PR CUMMINS GR PR LEGEND IOTA TIGERLILY 23

Elegant lass very well balanced, lithe and muscular. Slender legs, neat oval paws, tail in proportion. Short close lying coat has very nice texture and her ticking is clearly defined on apricot base, showing very nice head and facial markings and well marked heels, overall she has a lovely rich golden brown appearance. Head has gently rounded contours, good width between large cupped ears, slight profile break, slight muzzle indentation. Wide-set large expressive eyes of good shape. A delightful girl.

RES RICHARDS GR CH & IGR PR TONKAHOLICS ISLA TANIKA 74e

Mature lass who is also very stylish. Elegant and well balanced, feeling firm and muscular, she has well proportioned tail and limbs and neat small paws. Soft silky coat lies close to the body and has lustrous sheen, her attractive tortie colouring is bright and has warmth. Moderate head has width between ears of good shape, good muzzle with definite whisker pinch, slight break in profile. Large wide-set almond eyes are well opened and colour is very good. A delightful exhibit.

1 BOB MUSPRATT FLAMSTONE SEBBASTIAN

Lovely well grown kitten of four and a half months feeling firm and muscular with well formed legs in proportion and neat paws, very good tail. Very nice coat lies close to the body and feels quite dense, well defined blue ticking on pinkish mushroom base, clearly defined markings on head, heels and tail tip. Head shaping up well, large pricked ears set wide, neat tufts at the tips, slight indentation at muzzle, slight break in profile, good chin. Wide-set large expressive rounded almond eyes. He is a real sweetie.

USUAL ABYSSINIAN NEUTER: MALE

1 PR PATEY PR SILVERSMOKE TAPS MILLER

Lithe and muscular and feeling really weighty. Long legs with neat paws, tapering tail, all in proportion. Lovely coat is short and dense, lying close to the body, His overall appearance is rich golden brown; showing very good ticking and other markings are well defined; ruddy orange base hair has richness of colour. Head has moderate wedge with gently rounded contours, large pricked ears well set, slight break in profile, slight muzzle indentation. Wide-set large expressive eyes of good shape. A handsome boy.

Elegant young boy of very nice type, firm and well muscled, well balanced by tail and limbs. His fine silky textured coat has good length and flows down his sides while lying flat along the spine, small ruff evident, good brush; very good black shading on clear silver base. Well shaped head has short wedge, large ears set well apart and well furnished, definite nose break, good chin. Large lustrous green eyes are a little full, set well apart. An attractive exhibit.

2 CHATTERTON TRESBEAU PURRADISE 68 43as

Litter brother to winner but so different. This lad was much larger and showed slight cobbiness, well muscled, firm limbs. His coat is quite full and has slight woolly texture although it felt soft and silky, showing ruff around his neck and good brush. Very nice colouring, medium blue shading on silver ground. Head has short blunt wedge, wide at cheeks, medium ears set well apart, strong muzzle, defined nose break, lustrous expressive eyes. Rather tense.

1 PR BOB CHATTERTON TRESBEAU PURRFECT ANGEL 68 43g

Elegant girl of very good type, firm and well muscled, elegant legs with neat paws, overall well balanced. Lovely fine silky coat has good length flowing down sides, nice ruff around her neck, good brush. Clearly defined blue and cream tortie shading and although the base colour could have been silver I felt there was doubt; she also has lovely facial markings. Well shaped head is gently rounded, ears are well placed and show good furnishings; short wedge, very good profile line, large lustrous green eyes of very good shape, lovely expression. A real sweetie.

2 CHATTERTON TRESBEAU PURRFECT BEAUTY 68 43eq

Pretty girl, smaller than her litter sister but with very good weight and substance to body, elegant legs, neat paws. Fine silky coat texture, good length, nice ruff around her neck, good brush; the coat has good shading in bright tortie colours of seal and shades of red. Rounded head, large ears are well furnished but need to be set a bit further apart; her muzzle is very short giving a strong nose break. Lustrous eyes of good colour and when she opens them properly they show a very nice expression. Rather nervous and did not show herself well.

IMP GR CH HARRIS GR CH TALIPAW BELINDA BROWNSILK 27

Lovely mature girl of very good size and structure, feeling firm and muscular, well proportioned legs, neat oval paws, very good tail balances. Super close-lying satiny coat of rich mahogany with lovely glossy sheen across her back. Well shaped head is slightly rounded, short wedge, distinct break in profile, firm chin. Very good ears are well set, large lustrous eyes show typical expression. A stylish lass and congratulations on becoming Best Burmese Exhibit.

BROWN BURMESE NEUTER: FEMALE

1 PR HARRIS PR TALIPAW ROYALSILK

Elegant well muscled girl who is overall nicely balanced. Very good tail, slender legs and neat paws. Short close lying coat has very nice silky texture and displays a nice sheen; her colour appears warm seal although it tends to lighten towards the roots. Well shaped head, ears are set well apart, short wedge, well defined profile line, large lustrous eyes are well set and the colour is very good. She is a real sweetie.

BOB only: UK & IGR PR SYKRIS CHEZACER

Male Well known mature fellow looking very good today; he still has a super coat which is highly glossy and of rich colour. Very good head and ears, eye colour still good. He has such a lovely face and expression.
