NATIONAL CAT CLUB 28th NOVEMBER 2009 MRS VIVIENNE LEE

I would like to thank Carol and Ron for the invite to judge Household Pets at this lovely show, it always such a pleasure to handle these beautiful cats, and I would like to thank the owners for letting me do so. The lunch was superb as usual. I would also like to thank my good friend Wendy McQuilkin for stewarding and her excellent handling of all the cats, we both had a super day.

GRAND CLASS– AC NON-PEDIGREE MASTER CAT MALE

1st & GMC IMBER’S MC MOET MN 3yrs 5mths

What a super boy with such a warm colour to his coat, and good texture. Lovely round head, expressive round amber eyes full cheeks with a straight profile. Very long white whiskers and white chest, and four white sparkling feet. His tail was a little on the short side. Excellent show preparation and nice temperament. I believe I made this boy up today. Congratulations and well done to his devoted owner.

RES GMC HUTCHINSON’S MC AMADEUS MN 10 yrs

Lovely boy with striking tabby markings and in such good condition. Broad head with ears to balance, nice eye markings. Spotty whiskers pads and long white whiskers. Good size body with firm legs and large round paws. His top coat was slightly greasy. Nice temperament.

GRAND CLASS – AC NON-PEDIGREE MASTER CAT FEMALE

1st & GMC ROSSI & DALE EDGAR’S MC NAUGHTY FN 6 yrs 6mths

What an array of colour. This mature lady looked wonderful. Nice round head neatly placed ears with wonderful ear furnishings, good expressive eyes. Excellent body weight and size with a beautifully prepared coat. Her full tail was the finishing touch with beautiful intermingled autumnal tortie colours. Superb show temperament.

RES GMC MACOY MC SNOW DROP FN 2yrs 4mths

Very pretty young lady who was quite happy sitting on the trolley being stroked. Small head with oval shaped green eyes, good firm chin. Large white ears with the inside colour of shell pink, also her nose leather was of the same pink colour. Long white whiskers. Very firm body with long front legs, neat paws and long tail that balanced her body perfectly. Superb temperament.

SH RED OR ANY COLOUR TORTOISESHELL CAT, WITH OR WITHOUT WHITE

1st & MC WILLIAMS ODYSSEY MN 1yr 4 mths

Large boy with a good size head, ears a little flared. Slight dip to his profile and pink nose leather. Nice eye shape with cream eyeliner, very short eyebrow whiskers. Spotty whisker pads. He had a light colour tip to the end of his tail. He was not very happy today and I was not able to judge him to his full potential.

AC ADULT – 2 – 5 YRS

1st WILLIAMS ALFIE-JAMES MN 4yrs 5mths

This boy was such a gentleman. Nice round head with very striking white markings either side of his nose. Round expressive amber eyes, neatly placed ears. Well defined ‘M’ on his forehead. White feet and white chest. Rich red colour coat in superb condition and well groomed. Lovely show temperament and who looked to be enjoying his day out.

2. HUTCHINSON’S GMC ROSINA FN 2yrs 6mths

A well formed tortie girl. Nice round head with a tortie patch over her right eye, neatly placed ears. Pale green eyes, dip to profile and firm chin. Long full tail that gave good balance to her body. Good show preparation and sweet temperament.

3 ROSSI & DALE EDGAR’S SIENNA FN 4yrs 8mths

Wow what a show stopper. Round head with neatly placed ears, with good tufts. Square muzzle but showing a weak chin. Slight dip to profile, almond shaped green eyes which colour co-ordinated with her beautiful coat. Black tip to the end of her tail. Lovely tufted feet. She preferred to be in her pen rather than being judged.

AC ADULT OR KITTEN THAT HAS BEEN BIS EXHIBIT AT A PREVIOUS NATIONAL

1st POTTER’S DUKE 13yrs

I recognize this old gentleman as he is an old favourite of mine. Still in excellent condition for his age and wanting to have a little play with my tickling stick. Well done to his owner for keeping this lad in such good condition.

AC KITTEN WITH PEDIGREE COMPETING

1st POTTER’S BERTIE BASSETT M 4mths

Well, I fell in love with this very handsome and well grown kitten. Everything about him was balanced, good head shape neat ears, expressive amber eyes. Square muzzle firm chin and long black whiskers. Lovely curly fur on his tummy. He wouldn’t quite fit in my pocket as this is the one I wanted to take home with me. I just loved everything about him and I’m sure he will have a fantastic show career.

2. HUDSON’S HOPE FN 4yrs

Very portly chocolate tabby girl. Good head shape with a tabby ‘M’ on her forehead, thumb prints on her milk chocolate coloured ears, she was crossed eyed which made her so appealing. Striking tabby markings on her front legs, good ticked coat with prominent spine line, excellent rings in her tail. Neat little paws. Very chatty and was telling us how much she was enjoying her day.

3rd PEPPERELL’S HARVEY M 8mths

He looked very regal sitting in his pen today. Very balanced boy with striking mackerel tabby markings. Round head with a tabby ‘M’ on his forehead, round pale amber eyes that matched his coat colour perfectly. Long white whiskers and pink nose leather. Nice ticked tabby coat and beautiful ringed tail to balance. Spotty mushroom coloured tummy. Great personality.

I needed two first for this class as both of these boys were so handsome.

1st WILLIAMS’S MONET MN 18 mths

Solid boy with very attractive coat pattern. Lovely round head with full cheeks, pale green eyes, pink nose leather outlined with black. Cobby body with short front legs, dark rings to his firm balanced tail. Lovely to handle.

2nd SAUNDERS BOBBY DAZZLER MN 11mths

Very relaxed young man, with excellent overall balance. Round head with a pronounced dip to profile with a short nose. Firm chin, white nose, whiskers pads, and chin, chest and front feet. Muscular body and ringed tail to balance. He had an excellent temperament, very sweet boy.

3rd WILLIAMS ODYSSEY MN 1yr 4 mths

AC ADULT/KITTEN TRAVELLED OVER 50 MILES TO SHOW

1st PEPPERELL’S MC LOUIE MN 6yrs

Huge boy, broad head with very pale eye colour. Long white whiskers. He had dense seal points and a profuse coat that was expertly presented. Very relaxed and knew what a show day consisted of and I think he was enjoying it too.

2nd WILLIS’S MIA F 4mths

Very pretty kitten with a neat little head and neat ears with good tufts. Almost round hazel eyes, nice intermingled colours on her face blue cream and white. Cobby body of good weight. Fantastic show preparation. Sweet girl.

AC NON-SELF NEUTER OR KITTEN – FINALIST

1st FRANKLIN’S MC LOUIE MN 3yrs 8mths I just loved everything about this boy, he was amazingly handsome. Medium sized head, ears held high, white butterflies under his nose white chin. Beautiful green eyes. Fantastic ticked coat pattern with three prominent rings in his tail. He loved every minute out of his pen being judged, such a pleasure to handle.

2nd IMBER’S MC MOET MN 3yrs 5mths

3rd LLOYD’S MC ARNIE MN 4yrs 11mths

Another extremely handsome boy, with nice round head, full cheeks and very round pale amber eyes. Fantastic smoked coat. Very heavy boy on the large size I’m sure if he had to wear a shirt he would be a 17- 18 collar size. He loved being cuddled.

NEUTER BELONGING TO PERSON BETWEEN 8 & 10 YEARS OLD FN 5yrs

1st ALDRIDGE-SNELL’S FUDGE FN 5yrs

1st Very pretty girl with a trim little figure. Small head with half white half ginger coloured fur and a white blaze down her nose, neatly placed ears with expressive round green eyes. Mainly white body with ginger spots. Medium length white legs and pure white tummy. Real depth to the ginger colour on her ringed tail. Lovely girl with a sweet nature, only one in the class but a worthy winner.
