Mrs Jackie Reed Northern Siamese Cat Society Show 11th April 2009 A true Northern welcome awaited from Alice and her hard working Committee and Helpers. A lovely Show from the start, and bacon butties on arrival!, thru to a veritable Banquet of a lunch (super trifle!!) and then a splendid BIS line-up…..all this and some excellent quality Exhibits on view. Many thanks from Pat and myself for the day , your splendid hospitality and indeed our gifts. SEAL POINT SIAMESE ADULT MALE1 CC and BOB UNDERHILL’S ADATEAN ANTAEUS 11 months.Impressively grown young man with a few minor problems but deserving of a cc on the day. Long wedge with small pinch, ears of good size and well set, eyes are of correct shape and set, bright in tone but needing a greater intensity of colour, profile almost straight, chin falls away although bite ok, long neck and long firmly muscled body of excellent growth, tail rather thick although of balancing length, stands tall on lengthy slender legs. Points warm dark seal and his coat gives excellent contrast. Coat of good length although touch dry to the feel. Congratulations on Best Male Adult. SEAL POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE1 (CC w/h) LLOYD’S SEIDO SHULAMITE 1year 9 monthsRather fine and lacking substance for her age Medium wedge with small depression evident, ears could be larger although they are reasonably ell set, eyes of good shape – she was favouring the right a little – but slightly deep set, of a good depth of blue, profile almost straight, chin could be stronger and the bite is just over body of fair length lacking muscle tone at present – I understand she had been honeymooning which is probably the reason ? Fine whip and legs. Points of warm seal - touch brindled to eyes – with good contrast to body. Coat long and dry to the feel – once again possibly hormonal. BLUE POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE1 (CC and BOB w/h) FOSTER AND FOSTER’S BOSSKIP LOTTIE1 year 2 months. Youngster of fair type , medium wedge with pronounced pinch, ears are of good size but set close and held high small dip to profile, eyes rather full in shape, good depth of blue but showing a squint to both eyes unfortunately, good chin just a little too narrow and the bite ok, long fine body – slight dip evident behind shoulder blades, whip tail that needs an inch, fine legs. Points are of a reasonably good silvery blue although there was some fawning to the body. Coat of very good texture and length. The following 2 Classes were of excellent quality where any of the kittens would be worthy of a BOB – a pleasure for a Judge believe me! TABBY POINT SIAMESE KITTEN MALE1 HOLDSWORTH’S BILLSTES EL SOL REY (32/5) 5 monthsWell gown lengthy and stylish red tabby lad, long wedge with large open based ears that he does tend to hold forward at times, excellent eye shape and colour – a delight to see – straight profile with tiny pinch, good chin and level bite, lengthy neck and firm extra long body, long fine whip and long slender legs. Points of a pleasing bright red/gold, he is lacking a little in tabby markings – which of course he may not be! – With no thumbprints, M well etched and very faint bracelets, tail shows good ringing – but then it would as a red point! His coat bright white unshaded and coat of excellent length and texture. Very confident young man. W/COL - BILLSTES THE BARONLitter brother as it turned out although very different – unfortunately entered as Apricot but is clearly Red. Smaller in stature and a bit ‘girly’ looking as yet however that said his wedge was lovely ,short and even with good topline and firm straight profile and depth of chin, oriental eyes of a good depth of blue, clean bite, slightly short and lightweight to the body as yet and the tail also needs another 1”.Points of a paler slightly patchy tone – thumbprints evident to him though and a clear red gold M and once again faint bracelets, tail well ringed, bright hocks, unshaded coat but this rather long and dry to the feel. Had he been correctly registered he would have run his brother close. TABBY POINT SIAMESE KITTEN FEMALEUnusual to get 3 tortie tabbies in one class! 1 BOB MEEKING’S RANTIPOLE ENIGMA 932t8) 4 monthsLovely beautifully grown lilac based caramel miss. Gorgeous little even wedge with not a hint of a pinch, large open based ears well set and forming lovely lines, oriental eyes of vivid blue, straight profile, good depth to her chin and level bite, long neck – she uses well! – and firm well developed body with an extra long fine whip tail, quite sturdy legs – she will be a good sized Queen. Super even points – clearly tortie tabby as she has very good apricot mingling throughout particularly evident along length of tail and diffused in ears and mask, has clear thumbprints and facial tracings – hope they hang about as most dilutes tend to blur as age creeps on – and her tail has complete rings from tip to base, a joy to find. Warm off white body - coat slightly long but of good texture. Many congratulations on Best Kitten – well deserved. 2 PAGE’S ASHJOLEX GEISHAGIRL (32t1) 5 months 3 weeksSeal tortie tabby Miss of good overall type and balance. Short wedge just slightly square to muzzle as yet, ears open and well set forming a neat even line, gorgeous deep blue eye colour – just a tad full to shape, tiniest of dips to profile, firm depth to chin and level bite, body of good development and tone with long fine whip and slender legs. Points of dark seal – would ideally like more brightness to the red evident, her tabby markings quite well developed apart from the tail rings which are broken and blurred however this is not helped by her obvious ticked base which always diffuses the pattern. Excellent coat qualities. 3 EVAN’S BILLSTES GYPSY MOTH (32t3) 5 monthsChoc tortie tabby Miss who was a right demolition expert, her pen looked like the Wreck of the Hesperus with her still at the helm! Neat little even wedge still to lengthen from eye to nose level which at the moment unbalances a little, good topline although ideally the ears could be a little more open to the base, excellent eye colour - a little full, chin could be stronger although the bite level. Slightly fine body as yet needing to develop and gain more muscle tone. Fine whip balancing tail, quite sturdy little legs. Points dark choc tone but showing super rich red breaks of tortie thru the points, well etched tracings and ‘smudged’ thumbprints with bracelets developing and tail rings for half of length, coat a little dry but of good length. AC DEBUTANTE ADULT MALE OR FEMALE1 PALMER’S STYPERSON TOP DRAWER (32/1) F 9 months 1 weekVery flashy Miss is your first impression of this well grown youngster – however as a Judge it does not do to look too far into her overall conformity to the SOP! Long wedge with wide set jug handle ears that tip forward, unfortunately they are set too far forward on her head so there is a fair proportion of wedge actually behind the ears, just love her eyes for colour, shape, set and expression, uneven profile with dip and bump and her chin ebbs away slightly, level bite, long neck and body – this of excellent muscle tone and development, her condition impeccable, long slender legs with neat paws and long fine whip. Points warm dark seal – super pattern evident firmly imprinted thumbprints, M and ribbons with pinpoint whisker spots, broken leg bracelets to tips of toes, tail rings for approx 1/3 of length, coat short warm and of excellent texture. Lovely temperament – obviously been told she came from the top drawer and believes it! Well done on Best Overall Exhibit. AC ARISTOCRAT ADULT MALE OR FEMALE1 CLARK’S DRESTOTHRIL DECADENT RED (32a) F 1 year 8 monthsRed lady of good overall type. Long wedge with bump over brow in profile, ears of good size but needing to be more open and a little more width between to balance lines, eyes of good shape and of a good intensity of blue, good depth to chin and level bite, long well nourished body , tail, although a good whip, is short. Excellent bright points - well matched, pale stockings, brighter to hocks, coat virtually unshaded - a little dry and long. Rather worried about proceedings! 32 SERIES BREEDERS KITTEN MALEW/COL - HOLDSWORTH’S BILLSTES THE BARON(see Tabby Pt Male Kitten Open Class) LIMIT KITTEN MALE OR FEMALE1 HOLDSWORTH’S BILLSTES EL SOL REY (32/5) 5 months2 EVAN’S BILLSTES GYPSY MOTH (32t3) 5 monthsLIMIT NEUTER M OR F1 PAGE’S ASHJOLEX ZACHARYBINX (32/1) MN 1 year 11 monthsQuite a stylish seal tabby chap with a long wedge , eyes are rather straight to set but of good depth of colour, large ears ideally needing a little more width to balance the length of wedge, quite a pronounced pinch, straight profile, chin slopes away but bite ok, long well toned body with fine whip tail. Warm dark seal points, well marked throughout and although he is quite heavily shaded with spotting and barring evident there is still sufficient contrast and indeed his body is pleasantly warm in tone. Excellent short gleaming coat. RADIUS NEUTER M OR F1 MILES’ REYNARDS RUBY TUESDAY (24) FN 2 years 11 monthsRather worried mature well nourished Madam. Long wedge with quite a pronounced pinch, large ears well set, uneven profile with dip and bump evident, chin falls back fractionally but bite ok albeit a few missing incisors, eyes of good shape and colour depth, long body with quite an extended midriff and balancing whip tail, quite sturdy legs and paws. Excellent warm points well matched and contrasting cream and fawn body of super texture and length. Congratulations on Best Female Neuter. 2 RYCRAFT’S DRESTOTHRIL THEODORE (24) MN 2 years 10 months.Bless he was very worried this lengthy well nourished Gent ! Long wedge with ears set too close and needing to be more open to the base, eyes a little full in shape and they were pale in colour although bright, dip to profile, pinch , good depth to chin and level bite. Huge lengthy body, tail thick and short, sturdy legs. Dark warm seal brown points, quite heavily shaded but enough contrast just evident – small area of suspiciously pale hairs in groin area? – His coat of excellent length and texture.
