Many thanks to Anne & Brian for my invite to judge at this friendly show. I was fortunate to have Mark Pearman as my steward. Mark was, as ever, great company for the day & handled the cats with care & expertise. Many thanks for all your help, Mark & for marking up my catalogue. I look forward to the next time.

AOC (14wks-6mths) Kitten Male;

1 RUBERY’S RAFFKIN BIG SUR ALFIE (67 14b, 9/11/09).

Smashing young Odd-Eyed White lad of excellent balanced type – what a lovely way to start the day. Almost scooped my ‘Judge’s favourite’ rosette, just losing out to a slightly more ‘finished’ girl. Very good triangular head shape with an excellent straight profile. Eyes of good colour – could be just a fraction larger. Level bite. Good chin. Coat well prepared & of good length. Still just a touch kitten-soft. Well grown body of excellent shape. Long tail to balance. A very promising lad.

AOC (14wks-6mths) Kitten Female;

1 RUBERY’S RAFFKIN DELAWARE DAISY DOT (67 28, 9/11/09).

Blue Torte girl of good type with triangular head shape & good straight profile. Well set ears of good size. Excellent well-opened eyes of mid copper. Nose just a touch bulbous at the tip. Level bite & good chin. Coat of pale blue & cream, showing a cream blaze to nose. Coat well prepared & some double coat starting to develop. Body well grown, just a touch short and her shape is verging on cobby. Tail well furnished, just a touch short for balance.

2 RUBERY’S RAFFKIN TALAHASSE TALULAH (67 28, 9/11/09).

Litter sister to the previous girl and another Blue Cream lass. Very similar to her sister – almost like peas in a pod! Her ears are held a little taller at present, and her chin could be a touch stronger.

3 JOHNSTONE’S TUYET DEMELZA (67 31s, 28/8/09).

Black Smoke & White girl of quite pleasing type. Fairly good triangular head shape, just slightly square & short in her muzzle at present which detracts from the balance. Excellent well-opened hazel eyes. Almost straight profile. Level bite & good chin. Coat well prepared & of good length. Good black to body, head & tail with crisp white undercoat. White inverted ‘V’ to face & white to paws. Double coat developing well. Well grown body of good length. Long tail, well furnished.

AOC (6-9mths) Kitten Male;

1 WAREING’S NORGESKAUKATT OSKAR (67 14c, 14/6/09).

Large Green eyed White lad of good type. Quite good triangular head shape. Ears of good size set well. Very well opened mid green eyes of good size. Profile is almost straight, with just a slight roll-off at the tip of his nose. Level bite. Fairly good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Clear pristine white. Good double coat & well furnished with ruff & knickerbockers. Very well grown lad with good body length. Long bushy tail to balance.

2 YOUNG’S NORDLYS MATTI MAAMTURK (67 31, 9/6/09).

Black & White lad of quite good type. Slight squaring to muzzle at present which spoils the triangular head shape. Ears of good size held well. Hazel eyes which are just a touch small & set rather too obliquely. Almost straight profile. Level bite. Fairly good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Good jet black to body, head & tail. White inverted ‘V’ to face & white paws. Good double coat. Well grown body of good length. Long tail, well furnished.

AOC (6-9mths) Kitten Female;

1 BOB GRANT’S NOYNAROCK GRETA (67 31s, 19/8/09).

Lovely Black Smoke & White girl of very good type and super balance. Good triangular head shape with ears of good size set well. Very well opened hazel eyes of good size. Good straight profile. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Black to head, body & tail with good white undercoat. White to chin & paws. Double coat developing well. Good body which was well grown & of good length. Long tail, well furnished. A very stylish girl who was my Judge’s choice today.

2 TIPPER’S TIGANLEA DAME FELICIA (67 16, 17/7/09).

Attractive Blue girl of good type. Good triangular head shape with ears of good size set well. Well opened hazel eyes of quite good size. Straight profile. Level bite & fairly good chin. Mid blue coat of good length which was well prepared. Good double coat. Very well grown lass with good body shape. Well furnished tail of good length.

3 HERMON’S NORDLYS MUSTA (67 15, 9/6/09).

Black girl of quite good type, just at an awkward stage in her development. Good triangular head shape. Ears of good size, just needing to settle a touch as she matures. Well opened green eyes of fairly good size. Straight profile. Just slightly pinched in the muzzle at present. Level bite & fairly good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Double coat developing well. Well grown body of good length. Long tail, well furnished.

4 EMERY’S ADNIOLO ANJA (67 31, 11/6/09).

Black & White girl of fairly good type. Good triangular head shape. Ears fairly well set – I would prefer them a touch larger for better balance. Pale hazel eyes of good shape, just a bit small. Almost straight profile. Level bite. Fairly good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared, showing good double coat. Black to back, head & tail, with white chin, bib & paws. Body very well grown, but I would like her to be a little longer in the body for better balance. Fairly long tail, well furnished.

AC Junior Tabby Neuter Male;

1 PC BOB GRANT’S NOYNAROCK AUGUSTUS (67 20, 23/5/08).

Brown Tabby lad of good type. Good triangular head shape with ears of good size held well. Well opened green eyes of good size & shape. Almost straight profile, just with a slight bump on his nose. Level bite & good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared, showing very good double coat. Cool ground tone & slightly diffused tabby markings. Well grown lad with good body length. Long tail, well furnished.

AC Junior Tabby Neuter Female;

1 PC WHITTLE’S VERDICATZ SHAKIRA (67 20, 3/9/08).

Brown Tabby lass of quite pleasing type. Good triangular head shape with ears of good size held well. Well opened green eyes of good size & shape. Good straight profile. Level bite. Chin falls away rather. Good coat which was well prepared & showing very good double coat. Clear tabby markings. Her body is very well grown – almost too well grown! I would like her to be a little longer, as she is bordering on cobby. She had just enough length for the certificate. Quite long tail, well furnished.

2 WHITTLE’S CARA (67 20, 3/9/08).

Litter sister to the winner & very similar in many ways. Just failing in a number of areas. Unfortunately her eyes are very large & bold which spoils her expression a touch. She also lacks chin. Her coat is slightly woolly in texture, but does show a good top coat. Her body is rather short & cobby & her tail could be longer.

AC Senior Tabby Neuter Male;

1 PC SZWED’S FENRISULVEN INDIANA (67 20, 26/10/07).

Brown Tabby lad of good type. Good triangular head shape with ears of good size held well. Green eyes of good size & shape – slight tendency to bold, but better when relaxed. Almost straight profile, just with slight bump. Level bite & fairly good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Very attractive pattern with a lovely warm ground tone & clear tabby markings. Good double coat. Well grown body of good length. Tail well furnished, but could be slightly longer for better balance.

AC Senior Tabby Neuter Female;

1 PC DEAN’S CH VOLSUNG VICKI VIKING (67 20e, 31/5/02).

Large, rather portly lady of good type with good triangular head shape. Ears well set but could be a touch larger for balance. Green eyes of good size & shape – a slight tendency to bold when out of the pen, but better when she is relaxed. Excellent straight profile. Level bite & very good chin. Coat of good length & well prepared. Lovely warm tortie shades & diffused tabby markings. Good double coat. She is very well grown, but her body could be slightly longer & she is a touch portly…but we’ll forgive her a touch of middle-age spread at her age! Tail well furnished, but could be a touch longer for better balance.
