NORWEGIAN FOREST CAT CLUB SHOW – 20.2.10 Mrs Sally Tokens

I would like to thank Anne and the team for asking me to their show, I had a superb day with some really quality exhibits to judge which was a real pleasure. The lunch was to die for and a special thank you to all those who contributed. My steward was Celia De Martino, a very good friend and travelling companion. Thanks for all your help Celia.

AOC JUNIOR ADULT MALE;

1 CC & BOB Tipper TIGANLEA MARCHIONESS ASTA

tortie smoke and white of seventeen months old. Large well grown girl with good bone and standing taller on the back legs. Tail reaching to the neck and is quite bushy. Good triangular head shape with medium size ears having small tufts and some furnishings. Quite well furnished ears. Eyes just a touch deep set and green in colour with an oval shape. Straight profile and a level bite. Nice chin. Nicely balanced head. Semi long hair coat with a very good undercoat and glossy top coat. Some coarseness can be felt to the body. Small shirt front and nice knickerbockers.

2 Porter NOYNAROCK RAGNA SVALRDATTER

tortie and white girl coming up for two years old. Well developed bone and nice length to the body. Showing the Norwegian stance. Tail just a touch short and almost reaching the shoulders, which is very lightly covered. Nice triangular head shape with all sides equal. Ears set high and open of a good size and with small tufts and reasonably feathered. Eyes with a slightly oblique shape and green colour which are well opened. Long straight profile. Level bite. Chin quite firm. Good head balance. Coat rather soft today, lacking in the coarseness of the breed with a limited amount of woolly undercoat. Good red and black to form the tortie pattern.

3 Thomas JHARDUFAE QUEENOFTHEDANCE

black and white lad of almost a year old and just going through the adolescent stage at the moment. Lovely length of body with very good bone and a sleek body. Reasonable triangular head shape still coming along. Ears well positioned and having small tufts. Eyes just a touch small and green in colour with a good oval shape. Profile just a smidge short in length but with a straight profile. Level bite. Chin fairly firm. A little pinched in the muzzle and the head balance still developing. Glossy top coat with very little woolly undercoat present as yet. Rather a soft coat at the moment. Tail very lightly furnished and just reaching the shoulders.

AOC SENIOR ADULT MALE;

BOB Grant CH NOYNAROCK ZACH

blue and white lad of nearly three years old and a very large well build lad with strong bone and standing taller on the back legs. Tail reaching to the neck and very bushy. Good triangular head shape and large ears which are well set and fitting well into the line of the head. Small tufts and good furnishings. Green colouring to large well shaped eyes which are well set. Long nose with a straight profile. Level bite. Reasonable chin. Very well balanced head. Coat with a very woolly undercoat and glossy over coat with a coarse texture and shirt front with fairly full knickerbockers.

AC TABBY & WHITE KITTEN MALE (TO 6 MTHS);

1 Edwards NORSKWOOD ODIN

red tabby and white baby of five months old. Nicely boned baby with a Norwegian stance. Nice length to the body developing. Tiny tufts to medium size ears which are set quite high and open. Head not yet showing an equilateral triangle head shape and a rounded bridge of the nose. Chin falling away slightly and just being a little pinched in the muzzle. Scissor bite. Head balance developing. Deep gold eye colour to oval shaped eyes. Tail reaching to the neck and lightly furnished. Coat yet to develop fully with the undercoat not yet present. Glossy top coat and coarse texture to come through. A few guard hairs. Very good temperament and a pleasure to handle.

2 Whittle NOYNAROCK CAPTAIN SCARLET

cream tabby and white lad of five months old. Very well developed with lovely bone and a good length of body at this age. Tail reaching to the neck and very lightly furnished. Head not yet triangular in shape. Ears of a medium size which are well set and not having any tufts. Eyes a little round in shape and of a light gold colour, this was the reason why he had been placed second, because other than that there was nothing to choose between these two. Level bite. A tiny bit pinched in the muzzle. Straight profile. Reasonable chin. Coat with a glossy top coat and just a small amount of undercoat at the moment.

AC TABBY & WHITE KITTEN FEMALE (TO 6 MTHS);

1 Ross NORSKWOOD CONCHITA

silver tabby and white of five months old. Lovely bone structure and very good weight. Tail reaching to the neck and is quite bushy. Head almost an equilateral triangular shape. Medium size ears which are set quite high and open with tiny tufts. Eyes having a green colour and looking a touch large but the spectacles around the outside add to this effect. Straight profile just a smidge short in length at this time. Level bite. Reasonable chin. Coat with some coarseness can be felt even at this age. A small amount of undercoat. Lovely black tabby markings on a good silver agouti ground colour.

2 Kelly ADNIOLO AZURE AMBITION

blue tortie tabby and white of four months old. Very good bone and nice weight. Standing taller on the back legs. Tail reaching to the neck and is quite bushy. Reasonably triangular head shape not yet equilateral. Medium size ears which are well positioned and with small tufts. Eyes with a slightly oblique set and oval shape with green colouring. Nice length to the nose with a very minimal dip in profile. Fairly firm chin. Level bite. Coat with a fairly glossy over coat and a small amount of woolly undercoat starting to show. A few guard hairs present.

3 Halsey JHARDUFAE WALK THE LINE

blue tortie tabby and white lass of four months old. A tiny baby with good bone and weight for her age. Standing level at the moment. Tail reaching to the shoulders and is very lightly covered. Head shape not yet equilateral at the moment. Well placed ears which are set high and open with no tufts as yet. Eyes a touch round but of a reasonable size and green in colour. Straight profile and slightly rounded at the nasal bridge. Level bite. Chin just falling away slightly. Head with reasonable balance. Coat having a glossy top coat and the undercoat yet to come through. A few guard hairs can be seen.

AC TABBY & WHITE KITTEN MALE (6-9 MTHS);

1 Whittle NOYNAROCK PRINCE TYRONE

silver tabby and white lad of six months old. Very good bone and lovely substance. Tail reaching the shoulders and quite bushy. Nice triangular head shape present. Ears of a medium size which are set high and open with small tufts and very good furnishings. Fitting well into the line of the head. Oval shaped eyes which are a good size and gold in colour. Long nose with a straight profile. Level bite. Strong chin. Good head balance developing. Coat of a semi long hair length with a glossy overcoat and some woolly undercoat. Coarse texture can be felt to the body. Small shirt front developing.

2 Young NORDLYS MILLIS MIKKO

brown tabby and white lad of eight months old with excellent strength of bone and long bodied standing taller on the back legs. A very showy cat! Standing taller on the back legs. Tail very bushy and just long enough to reach the shoulders. Good triangular head shape with medium size ears which are set high and open with small tufts and nice furnishings. Eyes a touch small and of a green colour a little rounded. A very tough decision between these two cats. Straight profile. Level bite. Good balance to the head. Coat very full with a fairly glossy over coat and lovely depth of undercoat. Coarse texture to the flanks and a full shirt front with quite full knickerbockers. Excellent temperament.

AC TABBY & WHITE KITTEN FEMALE (6-9 MTHS);

1 & BOB Mansell FORESTMIST SANARI

blue silver tabby and white girl of seven months old and I loved this girl. Excellent bone and very good substance standing taller on the back legs with a lovely length of body. Tail reaching the neck and very well furnished. Lovely triangular head shape with medium size ears which are well positioned having small tufts and nice furnishings. Oval shape to the eyes which were well set. Long nose with a straight profile. Level bite. Good chin. Very good head balance can already be seen. Coat with a glossy top coat and very good woolly undercoat. Some coarse texture to the sides and flanks with a number of guard hairs. Lovely tabby markings and a cat with presence.

2 Ross NORSKWOOD SWEET CHILLI

tortie tabby and white of seven months old. Well developed bone and good length to the body. Tail just reaching the shoulders and is quite bushy. Triangular head shape not yet equilateral. Ear of a medium size which are set well and with small tufts and nicely feathered. Oval shape to the eyes of a reasonable size and green colour. Very slight tip in the profile which is of a fairly good length. Tiny little pinch in the muzzle. Level bite. Chin of a reasonable strength. Coat having a small amount of undercoat and fairly glossy over coat which showed vibrant colours and good tabby markings. Shirt front present and knickerbockers developing.

3 Hermon CLEASANTA IONA

tortie silver tabby and white of eight months old. Another nicely grown female with a good length to the body and well boned with a Norwegian stance. Tail just reaching to the shoulders and is quite well furnished. Reasonable triangular head shape with good size ears which are set high and open having tiny tufts and quite well feathered. Eyes of a reasonable size and oval shape being green in colour. Long nose with a straight profile. Scissor bite. Chin just falls away slightly. Head balance developing well. Coat lacking in undercoat as yet with a fairly glossy top coat. Shirt front starting to come through.

4 Emery ADNIOLO FREIA

brown tabby and white of eight months old. Very good bone and lovely weight. Nice length to the body. Tail reaching just beyond the shoulders and is fairly well covered. Triangular head shape with the profile just a touch short at this present time. Well positioned ears of a medium size with tiny tufts. Eyes green in colour and fairly large and well opened. Straight profile with a medium length nose. Chin firm. Level bite. Reasonable balance to the head. Coat of a good length with the woolly undercoat yet to come through. Quite a glossy top coat with some coarse texture to the flanks. Small shirt front and knickerbockers present. A lovely class with some very nice cats.

AC NON SELF ADULT;

1 Morris NOYNAROCK SOLVANDAU NIRVANA

silver tabby girl of nearly a year old with a very dense coat showing a lot of undercoat and a coarse texture. Good head shape and nice type.

2 Healing CH JHARDUFAE RALLY QUEEN

black and white.

3 Symonds RADZIMIERZ KORCHNOI

blue smoke.

AC JUNIOR ADULT;

1 Mills OLD POSSUM’S OBAN

blue tabby and white of eighteen months old. Excellent bone structure and length to the body. Straight profile and very good shirt front and full knickerbockers. Expressive green eyes.

2 Handy NORMYSTIC LORD BURR

brown tabby not yet a year old and very well developed for his age with super length to the body, standing taller on the back legs and good length of coat with an undercoat.

3 Tipper TIGANLEA MARDMONESS ASTA

tortie smoke and white.

AC JUNIOR ADULT;

1 Morris NOYNAROCK SOLVLYNX AVMANEN

very laid back lad with a super temperament, good triangular head shape and a super coat with a very good undercoat.

2 Grant NOYNAROCK ANYA

not yet two years old and a strong well developed female. Very broad muzzle. Straight profile. Coarse texture can be felt to the coat.

1 Hermon GR CH ADFURLO AISLING

brown tabby and white of nearly six years old. Very large lad with a good length to the body, lovely bone structure and standing taller on the back legs. Wonderful coat texture.

2 Ross CH NORSKWOOD GREEBO

brown tabby lad of just over three years old. Tail just a touch short in length but well covered. Very nice straight profile to an equilateral triangular head shape.

3 Grant CH NOYNAROCK ZACH

blue and white.

1 Symonds RADZIMIERZ TAMARA

tortie tabby Siberian. A very sturdy female with excellent bone and weight. Nicely rounded contours and very good coat length with a nice undercoat.

2 Grant CH NOYNAROCK MIKEN

cream tabby and white having a very good depth of woolly undercoat. Strong head with a straight profile. Tail just about reaching the shoulders.

3 Handy NORMYSTIC LORD BURR

brown tabby.

AC SELF KITTEN;

1 Wareing NORGESKAUKATT OSKAR

green eyed white lad of nearly eight months old and very well grown, lovely depth to the chin and a full shirt front with knickerbockers. Coat to the body developing an undercoat.

2 Rubery RAFFKIN BIG SUR ALFIE

odd eyed white baby of nearly four months old. Coat rather sparse today but a young baby with very promising profile and type. Lovely colouring to the eyes.

AC NORWEGIAN FOREST TABBY WITHOUT WHITE KITTEN;

1 Mansell FORESTMIST NYLA

blue silver tabby seven months old. Very well grown for her age. Wonderful length and texture to the coat with a nice undercoat coming through.

2 Grant NOYNAROCK FREDA

silver tabby of six months old. Profile just a touch short at this present time. Coat with a glossy top coat and some undercoat starting to show through.

AC SIBERIAN OR VANKEDISI KITTEN (NOT BRED BY EXH);

1 Wareing MUSRAFY RUASHKA

brown tabby Siberian of six months old. Lacking in the rounded contours with the cheeks very narrow. Coat quite short with a minimal amount of undercoat.

AC LIMIT NEUTER;

1 Szwed FENRISULVEN INDIANA

brown tabby with expressive green eyes. A little nervous and does not show him self off to his best. Coat with good tabby markings and a fairly warm ground colour.

2 Solman NORMYSTIC LADY BALSAM

black smoke and white girl with a long coat just lacking in undercoat at the moment. Texture yet to develop. Profile straight just a tiny bit short in length.

AC RADIUS NEUTER;

1 Patterson PR FORESTSHADOW CONAN

brown tabby and white having a lovely profile which is straight and the head of an equilateral triangle. Chin just drops away slightly. Very good coat for length and texture.

2 Rose SNOWCAPE KEYS

red silver tabby and white just looking a little pinched in the muzzle today. Oval shaped gold eyes. Large ears with very good tufts and nicely feathered.

AC VISITORS NEUTER;

1 Coward GR PR NORDLYS GAZELLE

black girl with well shaped eyes showing a strong green colouring. Glossy top coat with some undercoat present.

2 Handy NORSKMAGI TAVARIS

silver tabby and white I would have liked just a touch more width to the head for perfection. Straight profile. Small shirt front and knickerbockers present.
