John H HanssonPreston & Blackpool Cat Club ShowSaturday 28th March 2009My sincere thanks to Jackie & her team for what was an excellent show, Hayley Wild stood in to steward & performed her duties well. It was a rare treat to see Brenda & Frank, both in fine form & as always supportive of their pride & joy the Preston & Blackpool Show. Siamese Imperial Grand Champion, Male;IMP GR CH BROWNING’S GR CH PIPPASTRO HAWKMOTH. 61n. 05-05-07.Caramel Point Balinese, a lad who has the most superb impact & ‘Wow’ factor, if you don’t know what it means take a look at him the next opportunity you get, you will then be in no doubt, if you’ve got it flaunt it, he has & he does. Wonderfully strong masculine wedge, well balanced by its width creating equilateral triangle, excellent profile, deep strong chin, bite a little untidy. Ears are large & beautifully wide set, wide base to complement his head strength, some feathery interiors, lovely long wispy fringes at their base. Stunning eyes, so wonderfully trusting in expression, so soulful you could almost lose yourself, deep vivid blue colour, excellent oriental shape & slant. Body hard & well muscled, well proportioned legs, his paws were never ever going to be small but are not out of keeping, tail I would prefer a little longer & ideally a slightly fuller more flowing flume. His coat was longer than it initially appeared its length disguised as it lays so closely along the body, that is not to say I would not prefer it longer, better length on the tummy & some breeches, silky soft fine texture. Cool magnolia body tone with excellent contrast to the points which are complete & well matched though the tail has a slightly paler tone, very deep brownish taupe colour with a complete mask. His condition was superb, his manners impeccable, such a beautifully calm & so composed gentle nature. A wonderful example of what can be achieved in a relatively small breed if you work at it, this exhibitor has & is to be congratulated, later Best Siamese I understand, well deserved. RES IMP GR CH Not Awarded. 2nd MULLEN’S GR CH JOHPAS RED RUDDI. 32a. 06-10-05.Red Point Siamese, I handled this lad, who actually purred non-stop throughout the process, making him even more unreliable, as it appeared incompatible, his raging hormones which made him look like a sucked in porcupine, he was withdrawn a little later by his owners which I think under the circumstances was the right thing to do as an explosion appeared imminent. He was very difficult to give a valid opinion regarding his type due to his heightened state of excitement. Broad strong wedge but then sucking in his muzzle, his profile very good, good chin & level bite, some acne. Ears very good for size but the set impossible to comment upon. Eyes looking very extreme & a little straight set, can’t comment about the colour. Strong muscular body of good length, standing arched & sucked in indicating he was about to kill his opponent whoever he thought he was, long legs, oval paws, tail bottle brushed so looked a little short as a result. Coat again could not comment as he was continually fluffed out to make himself look as intimidating as possible. Body has quite an amount of tonal red shading but the contrast still evident due the intense bright red points. Certainly could not question his condition which was obviously in fighting form, temperament somewhat hormonal I would say. Siamese Imperial Grand Premier, Male; IMP GR PR & RES IMP GR PR Not Awarded.1st THORPE’S GR PR REUDENZA RAZZLE DAZZLE. 32/1. 03-01-06.Seal Tabby Point Siamese, in most departments a very polished lad of excellent type, just a little short of what I look for in an Imperial but stylish & very pleasing nonetheless. Longer length slightly narrow wedge, very even lines just a little too sharp & fine on the muzzle, bump on the back of his long skull, almost straight profile, chin requires just a little more depth, bite a fraction over. Ears large & wide at the base, when he relaxes completely the set is beautiful but he does prick them a fraction on occasion. Gorgeous eyes, shape & slant typically oriental, beautiful expression, bright intense blue colour. Lovely neckline which he uses to good effect, firm beautifully toned body, long slender limbs, neat paws, fine tail needs an inch or two to balance his body length. The coat was tight fitting & a very good shorter length, sleek well cared for glossy sheen. Quite heavily shaded but still with a perfectly acceptable degree of contrast to his tabby tracings, well marked cheek ribbons, very good ‘M’ on the brow, good leg bracelets, tail rings very acceptable just a little brindled at the base. His condition & poise were excellent, lovely gentle nature. 2nd THORPE’S GR PR JOHPAS SUNNY-JIM. 32a. 27-04-07.Red Point Siamese, long lengthy exhibit who again has a most pleasing degree of style. Long generally well balanced wedge, showing some pinch top his muzzle, near straight profile, quite a good depth of chin, some missing teeth, bite untidy as a result. Ears large, set low with complementary wide flared base. Eyes are a very good oriental shape & setting, colour beautiful deep blue, not so expressive as the previous lad, looking slightly more wary. Long neck, the body long & strong, with slender elegant limbs, neat oval paws, good length fine whiptail. Coat a little on the long side, laying close & sleek, well prepared. Body has some light shading in tonal paler red, with very well defined contrast to his points which are a very good bright shade of red. Excellent condition, slightly on the tenser side & as result not completely relaxed. Persian Red/Cream or Tortie Smoke Series Neuter;1st PC & BOB. BRIDGES’S GR PR HIGHSPOT GELLIBABY. 6f. 07-10-06.Cream, this girl has the most stunning soft even cream colour which one takes into account she is Smoke is even more impressive. Not a large girl but so well proportioned & most pleasing type. Head well rounded with breadth & fullness to her cheeks, skull nicely rounded, deep stop, short nose, good breadth of muzzle & depth of chin. Ears are small with well feathered interiors, quite neat & generally low in set, just pricks a mite on occasion. Gorgeous eyes, large & well rounded, bold appearance, all further enhance by the deep coppery tone. Body though not large was compact & cobby, low on the well proportioned legs, round paws, short full well prepared brush to her tail. Though not in the fullest of coats, there was an excellent degree of preparation, which was a very good length & the most had been made to create a degree of fullness to it, some ruff & frill, soft silky texture. No visible markings to be seen, her top coat very even with only a slightest deepening of colour to her sides, slight amount of masking, impressive contrast to her creamy silver undercoat for the lower third or so of the hair length, the silver also evident on her ruff & beneath her tummy & tail, the actual cream top coat very soft shade of powdered cream. Her condition was splendid, initially a little uppity but soon settled & was charming in the pen. Bi-Coloured Ragdoll Kitten, Male;1st & BOB. LYNCH’S MAGISRAGIS PERSEPHONE. 66 31. 04-10-08.Seal Bi-Colour, interesting name for a boy, hence the sex change (been there, done that, got the ‘T’ shirt, so know exactly how it feels). He could actually do with looking a little more masculine, the cheeks requiring a little more width across & the muzzle a little more developed, reasonable flat plane to the brow gentle dip, nose could show little more evidence of retrousse tip, good chin, bite good despite the swollen gums & double canines due to teething badly. Ears medium size, open base, well furnished, slight pricked. Eyes good shape, gentle oblique setting, lovely deep vivid blue colour. The body is developing length, still to acquire a little more boys development even for his young age, but plenty of time to do so, well proportioned legs & paws, good length tail still to attain a bushier fullness. Coat very much that of the young, fluffy wispy effect, with some length at the tummy & knickerbockers. Body is already showing some shading, slightly low inverted white ‘V’ on his face, with the white extending through his chin, chest, tummy & legs, up to the body line on the back legs, the white could ideally have been a little sharper, the remainder of his mask, ears & tail slightly cool toned seal, still obviously to densen more fully. Very gentle disposition, condition very good. British Blue-Cream Adult;1st CC & BOB. JAY’S PINEMARTEN FLOWER. 31a. 16-05-07.Blue, quite an attractive girl for type but the haphazard white tending to draw the eye & does not work to her advantage as a result. Head type is generally very good, having a pleasing degree of rounding & reasonable development & fullness to the cheeks, rounded brow, medium length straight nose, adequate chin, bite good. Ears smaller medium size, well placed. Eyes of bright golden orange tone, well open round shape & good size. Body pleasing compact conformity, with quite well boned legs & paws, balance moderately heavy medium length tail. Coat is a fraction soft, density good, could be slightly shorter. Asymmetrical white on the face tends to distort its shape a little with white flash running up into one ear, the white generally rather more random fashion with smaller patches of blue on the legs, the body mainly blue, which was quite heavily tipped, the contrast could have been sharper & more defined had the some of the liberal scattering of white hairs been tidied up a little, always a problem with a bi-colour, they require a great deal of work combined with skill. Her condition was excellent & her manners exemplary. British Tipped Adult, Female; CC Not Awarded.1st BURWELL’S BURLEAWAY CHINA GIRL. 39. 02-06-07.Black, pretty girl but overall lacking the degree size & substance to give her the level of maturity that she should by now have attained. Her head still needs to fill out & round off a little more, quite a good muzzle, rounded brow, chin requires more depth, the bite good. Ears quite small & neat, very tidy appearance. Green eyes, very good larger size though could be a littler more fully rounded, black pigmented line to their rim. The body though rather small was generally a good compact shape, with proportionate legs & paws, well balanced tail. Coat a mite on the long side but that aside the texture dense & with a very impressive degree of crispness to it. Excellent silver undercoat with clear silver chin, chest, tummy & beneath her tail, the medium tipping was relatively even with a slight deepening along her lower back, brick nose leather, black paw pads. Her condition was excellent, her temperament very placid. Considered for BOB, Not Awarded.ROBINSON’S CH PENNYDOWN MOONTIGER. 39. 29-06-07.Black, I remember this lad as a young kitten with a good degree of potential, his eyes then as now were absolutely gorgeous. He is as yet a little betwixt & between still to attain a more masculine degree of development in both head & body type, still looking very rangy. His head requiring greater breadth & fullness to his cheeks, with some jowls giving the initial impression they are fuller than is actually the case, muzzle a little fine, well rounded brow, chin could be deeper, bite good. Ears medium size a little open at the base & tend to unbalance his head a little. Black pigmented line round the eyes enhance the size, full well open rounded shape, stunning emerald colour. Body still to broaden off & is at present rather long, legs I would prefer heavier boned, quite small paws, medium length tail. Coat a little on the longer side & tends to lay a little flat & very soft. His tipping though not as even as the girl above was a little lighter, very silver on the cheeks, excellent clear silver undercoat to create a beautiful sparkling mantle effect, excellent brick nose leather with darker pigmented outline, with black lips & paw pads, silver chin, throat, chest & tummy. Lovely amicable gentle nature, excellent condition. British Black Silver Tabby Kitten, Male;1st & BOB. HALL’S CATYKES HARVEY SILVERMOON. 18-11-08.A most impressive kitten for size & development. Head already possessing a good degree of rounding with the cheeks starting to fill, rounded brow, straight nose, chin & bite both good. Ears are moderately small considering his young age, well placed. Eyes good larger size & round in shape, I gave the benefit of some doubt today with regard to colour in view of his age, hopefully these will attain more evidence of green (or I’ll settle for hazel) as he matures & develops. Body has good chunky appearance & breadth to his chest, the legs showing quite good bone, round paws, balanced medium length tail. Coat quite short & dense, still a fraction baby soft only to be expected. Very good pattern elements all in black & well contrasted by the silver sixpence ground colour. Clear ribbons on the cheeks, spotted whisker pads, ‘M’ on the brow, lines run over his neck, butterfly on the shoulders, good dorsal lines, linked oysters, good leg bracelets & tail rings, black tip to the tail with solid black heels also, virtually free of tarnishing. His condition was excellent, confident little chap. Lilac Burmese Neuter, Male; PC Not Awarded.1st SHANKS’S ROSSIKHAN JACKSPARROW. 05-01-07.Though looking perhaps a little girly, I very much liked the type of this lad, but his colour let him down. He has a very pleasing short, wide blunt wedge, quite well rounded top, pleasing break, his chin could have been a little deeper, bite good. Ears were a good medium size, rounded on the tips, gentle forward tilt, set well. Eyes gentle slanting top line, requiring a little more depth of curve to the lower line, chartreuse in colour. Body though firm, was a little on the long side which made his head appear slightly small for balance, slim legs, neat paws, well shaped medium length tail, rounded tip. Close lying tight fitting sleek well prepared coat, could ideally be just a little shorter. The colour was a very dark more taupe shade than true frosty dove grey tone, lacking any evidence of pink tones to give it the required warmth. His condition was excellent & he was an extremely gentle & amenable lad. Lilac Burmese Neuter, Female;1st PC & BOB. HERRINGTON’S SUGARBOWL HUNKYDORY. 05-07-07.This girl was something of madam with an ‘eat you for breakfast expression’. Excellent type, wedge short & wide, well developed blunt muzzle, top rounding well in both directions with an excellent break, short nose, strong chin, excellent bite (she looked like she wanted to share!). Ears beautifully set, slight touch of forward tilt, rounded tips & good width at their base. Lovely eyes, large & the shape well defined, well curved lower line, the colour chartreuse, flashing with indignation that she should be removed from the warm confines of her pen. Lovely firm body, excellent weight & tone, slim legs, neat paws, slightly short tail of medium thickness rounded tip. Tight fitting coat which was short very sleek with excellent satin like texture. Her colour was quite a soft dove grey colour which was also even. Excellent condition, temperamental fiery madam with a degree of attitude. Also Considered for BOB. SMITH’S GR PR MACHIKA DEL CONTE. 06-08-06.Very handsome lad, type very pleasing to the eye. Wedge typically short & wide, with a good blunted effect to the muzzle, top rounds well, well defined break, good depth chin, level bite. Ears medium size, open base & round on the tips, set to complement his wedge. He has lovely yellowy chartreuse eye colour, tending to scowl, a little which detracted from their size a little, which when he held them open was much improved. Body strong & muscular, good medium length, rounded chest, well proportioned legs & paws, medium thickness to the tail rounded tip, short of shoulder. Coat though not quite as short as I would ideally prefer it was beautifully close lying & well prepared, the texture satin like. Colour could have shown more evidence of pink, but was otherwise a quite warm tone. His condition & presentation were excellent, extremely grumpy lad who was not showing to best advantage & was quite tense, would have been a worthy BOB winner in his own right. Caramel Point Siamese Adult, Female;CC & BOB Not Awarded 1st LINLATER’S CH PLEZETOBE PUREANSIMPLE. 18-04-07.This girl though quite elegant was lacking a little in style for my particular taste, requiring a little more head strength, which as a result was looking a little small in relation to the body for balance. Medium length but slightly narrow pinched wedge, very good profile, chin requires a little more depth, the bite itself was good. Ears need to be larger & more flared at the base, she also has a tendency to prick high which further compounds the problem. The eyes have quite a good oriental shape & slant with an excellent depth of blue, but the expression was a little bland. Elegant neckline, body lithe & well toned, slim legs, oval paws, fine tail which requires a little more length. Well prepared coat, was close lying & excellent texture. Good contrast between the cool magnolia body colour & points which were quite a dark taupe tone but could have been more complete. Her condition & temperament both excellent. Tortie Point Siamese Adult;1st CC & BOB. MASON’S CH EPITOME SWEETDREAMS. 32b 8. 28-10-06.Caramel, mature & attractive girl who was well grown with no loss of style. Her wedge has good length & virtually even, let down a little by her undulating profile, good strong chin. Ears large, set well apart & have very good wide flared base to complement the wedge. Her eyes are a very good oriental shape & slant, just a little deeper in set than I would have preferred, very good depth of blue. Excellent body substance, uses her neck well, slender limbs, neat paws, fine tail could be a little longer. Coat lays well though I would prefer it a little shorter, has a degree of harshness despite every effort to eliminate, some rather thin (looked like former plucked) areas which could well be an attributable factor. Body showing some light tonal shading with some mottles in the colour, points not as sludgy as I would wish to see, all broken with mainly cooler shades of apricot. Beautifully composed girl in excellent condition. 2nd CASSAR-SIMMONDS’S STENIC CIELO MACCHIATO. 32b 2. 28-11-06.Blue, this girl is very elegant & has a superb coat. Another girl who was firm & elegant, just looking a little unbalanced in the head type which required more depth to it, good length wedge but showing some pinch to the muzzle, long skull with slight dip, chin requires depth, this slopes back which attributes to the lack of depth, bite good. Ears are large & wide at the base but she carries them rather tall. Her eyes are an excellent intense vivid blue, rather wide in shape & could show a little more oriental slant. Excellent neckline, body is firm & beautifully toned, long slim legs, dainty paws, tail fine but requires more length. Super coat very short & close lying, wonderfully sleek & glossy, mottled light blue & cream tonal shading with well matched soft blue points showing abundant breaks of varying shades of cream so the contrast is well defined. 3rd Not Awarded.4th ROSEKELL’S ADATEAM ROSEKELL’S BEAUTY. 32b 1. 17-06-08.Seal, I fully realise it may appear a little overkill to withhold a 3rd prize on this very sweet natured little miss, but I felt it could be construed as misleading to have just awarded the prize, perhaps indicating that had the other 2 girls not been present she could have obtained a certificate, this action making it clear that that would not be the case. Short sharp, fine wedge, with some muzzle pinch, the actual profile good, chin requires more depth, bite good. Ears small & lack flare at their base, whilst the set itself is quite good. Her eyes have a wonderful deep intense blue colour but a little too full & wide with a rather startled expression. Extremely small & dainty, requiring a much greater degree of substance & tone, she is very, very young as yet so hopefully she will develop more tone as she matures, fine boned legs, tiny paws, slightly short fine tail. Her coat was long & has a very fluffy wispy appearance, which was not typical, lacking the close sleek appearance of her breed. Body showing some tonal shading, her points though rather back as opposed to seal on the plus side, she does have quite a lot of bright red evident. Her condition good, but she really does require more substance & size, wonderful temperament. Caramel Point Siamese Kitten, Female;1st & BOB EVANS’S ROCHVALLEY BELLOTHEBALL. 20-10-08.Well grown girl a little out of kilter as yet, but this will hopefully resolve in the right direction as she grows up. Broad strong wedge, profile slightly undulating but young so this has time to pull out. Strong chin, good bite. Ears are very large (very), with wide flared base, some forward tilt to resolve as this also has an affect on the eye shape. The eye colour itself a very intense deep blue colour, the shape a little ‘hang dog’ due to the ears, with a tendency to drop down at the outer corner, as opposed to upward slant. Wonderfully firm body, excellent tone, good length legs, oval paws, fine whiptail. Close lying coat, very good shorter length, very good texture, well prepared. Cooler toned magnolia body, excellent contrast to the points which were as sludgy taupe with a definite brownish overcast & also extremely well matched as you are ever likely to see on a kitten of this age, oak leaf effect on the ears. Her condition & temperament both exemplary, I did deliberate over the BOB due to the ears & eyes, her colour just tipping the balance in the right direction today. AV SH Senior Adult;1st BOARDMAN’S CH ARTRO LILAC MOONSTONE. 27c. 03-11-07.Lilac Burmese, mature girl of excellent type. Head shows the required, short wide blunt finish to the muzzle, lovely rounded top line, well defined break to short nose, strong chin, marginal bite. Ears medium size, rounded tips, set to follow the wedge, gentle tilt forward. Eyes are large & well defined in shape, chartreuse in colour, slightly mood expression. Beautifully firm weighty body, with well shaped legs, small oval paws, gentle taper to the tail which was a little short of the shoulder, well rounded tip. Lovely coat, short & close lying, sleek satin like texture, subtle surface sheen. Quite an even soft dove grey tone, throughout, with a pleasing degree of warmth to it also. Her condition was excellent & she has a very composed temperament. 2nd KIDD’S IMP GR CH KRESTA EDWIN. 18a. 14-03-01.British Blue Silver Tabby, very well known British lad looking in fine form. Mature & quite a masculine looking chap, head well rounded & filled at the cheeks, the muzzle a little too fine, rounded brow, chin requires more depth, bite good. Smaller, well placed medium size ears, looking neat & tidy. Eyes round & well open shape, good larger size, golden light orange tone. Well grown lad, good firm compact body, well proportioned legs & paws, slightly pointed tail tip to otherwise very good tail. Coat good shorter length, very good density, excellent degree of crispness to it. He has a very impressive degree of pattern with all the correct classic elements, in a soft shade of blue all contrasting well against the silvery blue ground colour, excellent facial markings. He was beautifully composed & in lovely condition. 3rd DAVIDSON’S GR CH ANTIGUASON SILVER ZINNIA. 30s.X3rd GILES’S CH RAWEKE BROWN HOLLY. 27.AV SH Resident In Lancs Adult;1st CREATON & WALKER’S CURLU NATE. 79L 15. 19-04-08.Longhair Black Selkirk Rex, such a beautifully grown & impressively mature youngster with superb coat. Very masculine looking head, broad well rounded cheeks, excellent breadth to his whisker pads giving a matchbox shaped muzzle, slightly rounded brow, excellent depth chin, level bite. Ears medium size & set well, beautifully furnished interiors, with tufted tips also. Eyes to be just a little critical could be a little larger, the shape round & open, very good degree of brightness to the colour of range with a slightly dual tone rim showing green (but no points, so merely a comment). Thick muscular neck, very well grown & developed body, of slightly longer length than a ‘Brit’, heavy & well muscled, strong legs, strong well boned legs, large paws, well proportioned tail with good long flowing curly brush to it. His coat was beautifully bouncy & soft with very good degree of length & a splendid amount of loose curl which parted easily, the curl was tighter on the neck, throat & tummy, beautifully prepared, wonderful long curling whiskers & eyebrows. Very good black effect with some greying on his impressive ruff. He was in splendid condition & his manners were pure charm, wonderfully confident showy individual. 2nd TOWERS’S CH FERNYAULGH MISS BLUEBELL. 27a. 25-03-06.Blue Burmese, a ‘*!@#’ of impressive type, pity the same could not be said of her manners. Typical short wide ‘Burmese’ wedge, very good blunt effect to the muzzle, top rounds well, short nose with excellent break, good depth chin, bite keen to test. The ears more medium size, set well apart, rounded tips, gentle forward tilt. Eyes are large & the shape well defined, slightly watery, faded chartreuse tone, flashing with rage. Body medium length, excellent weight for size, slim legs, neat small paws, tail slightly short for balance, rounded tip. Very close lying coat, could perhaps be a little shorter, but that aside it was beautiful satin like texture & very sleek. Attractive mid tone blue with silvery effect on the shorter more rounded areas, muzzle, brow & limbs. Apart from the slightly watery eyes, her condition appeared to be sound, temperament well…………..fiery would cover it. AV British Resident Outside Lancs, Adult;1st HARRISON’S CH ALFRESCA VENUS LITTLEGEM. 18. 12-03-07.Black Silver Tabby, pleasing lady of very well balanced correct ‘British’ type. Head showing good rounding, cheeks well filled, good rounding to the brow, broad nose, reasonable chin, bite good. Ears smaller medium size, well placed, quite a tidy look. Eyes good well open shape, moderately large, excellent green tone. Body compact & cobby, well proportioned overall, with good legs & paws, balanced quite heavy tail. Her coat was dense & a possessed quite a good degree of crispness to it. Very well defined black pattern, well marked facial tracings, butterfly over the shoulders, solid back line, well matched oysters on the sides, broad leg bracelets & linked tail rings, good black heels, the pattern elements all sharply contrasted by the silver sixpence ground colour. Her temperament & condition both excellent. 2nd JAY’S PINEMARTEN FLOWER. 31a.3rd KIRK & JUHASZ’S MOVIESTARS LEGEND MAKER. 17.Marked as Wrong Class. GARNER’S ADCINSH MISTOFF TOO. 16. 18-07-05.Blue, sorry had to Wrong Class this lad as he was neuter in adult entire class. Dominant Colour Burmese Kitten;1st ANDREWS’S ISAJEN MISS MARPLES. 27e. 05-08-08.Brown Tortie, pretty little miss. Head has a short wide wedge, with quite a good blunt muzzle, rounded top, good break, slight roll off at the nose tip, fair chin, bite good. Ears medium size, wide at the base & rounded tips, well set. Eyes could be a little larger & ideally more defined in shape on the lower line, yellowy chartreuse tone, pleasing expression. Quite a firm, weighty little body, with good legs & paws, tail a little short of shoulder, rounded tip. Close well fitting tight coat, already with a very impressive satin like texture & good degree of sheen to her coat, patched & mottled warm brown with mainly paler shades of red. Her condition was excellent & she has a lovely confident nature. 2nd COULTER’S JACOU JEANI WITHLTBROWNHAIR. 27b. 18-08-08.Chocolate, this little miss has quite a personality was full of fun. Here head needs to acquire a little more width, the wedge quite short, good blunted muzzle, rounded top, good break, needs a touch more chin, bite good. Ears medium size, very well placed, touch of tilt forward & rounded tips. Eyes good for size, the shape still to define a little more fully, dual chartreuse tone. Lithe firm body, slender limbs, neat paws, tail of medium length a little short of shoulder, small irregularity at its tip. Good shorter length coat, which was close lying, very good texture. Slightly uneven chocolate colour, with deeper colour to the mask still. Excellent condition & temperament. Dilute Colour Burmese Kitten;1st NEGUS’S ROSSIKHAN DARLING DAISY. 27a. 21-07-08.Blue, gorgeous type, if a little dainty for her age, recent evidence of spaying with her shaved side. Excellent head type, short wide wedge, blunt muzzle, beautifully rounded top line, well defined break, short nose, good chin & bite. Ears are larger medium size, rounded tips, slight hint of forward tilt, wide base. Lovely eyes, large in size, curved lower line with gentle slant from the top line, chartreuse colour, slightly mischievous expression. Body is undoubtedly very dainty & petite but her weight was good, slim legs, tiny paws, well balanced medium tail with slightly fused tip. Excellent coat, very sleek, close lying, lovely sheen, growing in shaved area one side. Excellent mid blue colour, with subtle silvering softening the colour. Her condition was excellent & her temperament a delight. 2nd Not Awarded.3rd NEGUS SESUANE JASPER. 27c. 07-07-08.Lilac, I did, I confess feel a little mean in withholding the 2nd prize, but this young lad who is virtually adult was so out of kilter, he was also suffering from coat & colour problems I thought it would be misleading to do otherwise. Head is rather small for the body proportions, broad in relation to its length, the muzzle also broad if not quite blunt, rounded top, quite a deep break, bump & roll off from the nose, chin okay, bite good. Ears smaller medium size, set very wide, forward tilt. The eyes are rather small & set a little deep & straight, lacking the more defined shape required, yellowy chartreuse colour. Body though not overly large was rather plump & the legs appearing rather short, oval paws, tail needs a little more length. Coat slightly fluffy & extremely soft, as opposed to close lying & sleek. Colour very rusty coloured taupe tone with a more brownish tinge. His condition was super & he has such an amazing gentle nature, hopefully he is going through a transitional teenage phase & it will all sort itself out later. AC Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Novice Kitten;1st HIRST’S TOHGAR RED ADARE. 32a. 11-12-08.Red Point, this lad though a little toppy on the ears & still very small, was very flashy. Lovely wedge this little chap has, profile developing well, chin could use a fraction more depth, bite good, swollen gums. Ears large & wide flare at their base, slightly tilted tips tending to be little overlarge at present, set well apart. Eyes have oriental shape & slant, very good depth of colour. Body small as yet & quite fine but time on his side, slender limbs, dainty paws, excellent long stringy tail. Coat still very typically baby with the slightly transparent effect often seen on very you Reds & Creams, with the touch of wispiness that babies have, well prepared. Clean clear near white with excellent contrast to the points, still to brighten up a little more. Most beautifully presented in his blanket nest, in excellent condition, very amicable little chap. 2nd DAVIES’S WICCANWAYS MORGANA. 24. 22-111-08.Seal Point, quite a pleasing young miss, who could be a little bigger perhaps. Medium length well balanced wedge, some kitten teething pinch, developing profile, good chin, teething. Ears well placed when relaxed, could be a little more flared at the base, good for size. Intense deep blue to the eyes, good shape & slant. Though perhaps a mite dainty she was firm & good weight for size, slim legs, neat paws, good fine tail of well balanced length. Coat could be slightly shorter, close & well prepared. Cool clear beige body, excellent contrast but the points a little too cold in tone, slight amount of brindling & the tail still has to densen to colour more completely, but very young so ample time to do so. Excellent condition & temperament. 3rd DAVIES’S BURNTHWAITES SUPERTOUPER. 24a.AC Oriental Kitten Outside Lancs; 1st FULLERTON’S STARAPPEAL SCENESTEALER. 62 20a. 25-10-08.Blue Tabby, pleasing stylish looking lad for type. Good even lines to the medium wedge, the profile virtually straight, excellent chin, level bite. Ears are large & set well, just requiring a marginally wider flare to their base, some feathered interiors, with wispy fringes at their base. Lovely eyes, green in colour, very pleasing oriental shape & slant, loved the expression. Body lithe & firm, developing good length, slim legs quite neat paws for an OLH, good length tail, still to attain a little more evidence of plume. Silky texture to the coat, the length coming along well, longer on the tummy & britches. Pattern not the best somewhere betwixt & between at present, not definite enough for Tabby & no evidence as yet of distinct clearing to be shaded, the colour very solid along his back, more definite facial tracings & leg bracelets. Quite a soft shade of blue with a bluish creamy beige tone to his chest, tummy & inner leg areas. Super condition & a lovely gentle nature. 2nd LINTON’S SIARUNG THFUTUREISORANGE. 37f. 02-08-08.Cream, well grown youngster. Head has a longer slightly narrow wedge, some pinch to the muzzle, good profile, adequate chin, scissored over bite. Ears are large but he is inclined to prick these rather tall & they could also be a little wider at the base. Eyes of good green, quite a good oriental shape & set. Good length of neck, long well toned body, long legs, skinned on the left hock, oval paws, good length of tail. Coat could be slightly shorter, but was nonetheless close & well prepared. Colour of warm cream with quite a heavy pattern which will hopefully clear as he matures. Very composed gentle nature, condition very good. AC Siamese/Balinese Kitten Outside Lancs;1st PALMER’S STYPHERSON TOP DRAWER. 32/1. 01-07-08.Seal Tabby Point, undeniably eye catching & actually caused me a degree of deliberation, a case in point where a cat is more than the sum of its parts, it is the sum of its whole. If ears were everything ‘No contest’, they aren’t. She has beautifully strong head type, with excellent strength to her good length well balanced wedge, excellent profile, good depth chin, bite good. Now the ears, these are huge & the initial reaction is a little OTT, their very wide base attributing to the very low set, I confess I worked extremely hard to get her to act interested enough to prick the tips up above the head line, her beautifully serene composed attitude not assisting her case in this respect. Her eyes are absolutely gorgeous, stunning intense blue & with a beautifully defined oriental shape & slant, wonderful haughty yet gentle expression. Excellent well grown firm body, lovely tone, elegant limbs, neat paws, fine whiptail could maybe use an inch to be critical. Lovely cheek ribbons, spotted whisker pads, good ‘M’, some thumbprints, well marked leg bracelets & good tail rings also, with colour well up the hocks, warm toned lightly shaded body, still more than evident contrast. Her condition was superb & her temperament a pure joy, wonderfully confident. For a personal opinion, whilst I honestly think her ears will always unbalance her a little, she may (just possibly) grow into them a little more as she matures but whether you like them or not, the remainder of her type is still excellent & ears are only part of the equation. 2nd HIRST TOHGAR BY DESIGN. 32/3. 12-10-08.Chocolate Tabby Point, stylish young fellow but let done a little by the eyes. Very pleasing even well balanced wedge of medium length, the profile also very good, quite good depth of chin, level bite. Ears large set well apart & quite low, wide base, slightly too much bonnet forward, which has an adverse affect on the eyes. These looked a little too small & deep set, which detracted from the more typical oriental shape & slant, the colour a very good bright deep blue tone. Firm lithe little chap developing well, slim legs, neat paws, good length fine whip tail. Short, close well prepared coat, lovely texture. Well placed thumbprints on the ears, quite subtle cheek ribbons as yet, the ‘M ‘ showing clearer, delicate leg markings, tail rings improve towards the tip, tracings all in quite a warm chocolate tone, excellent contrast to the clear ivory body colour. Excellent condition & temperament. 3rd JONES’S SARAMESE GOODLUCKCHARM. 24c.AC 32 Series Siamese Neuter;1st THORPE’S GR PR REUDENZA RAZZLE DAZZLE. 32/1.2nd PAGE’S PR ASHJOLEX ZACHARYBINX. 32/1. 27-04-07.Extremely flashy but very fine & too narrow. His wedge is very long & impressively even but requires more width to give it strength, long skull also compounds the problem, very good profile, chin has depth but slopes a little, bite over. Ears large & with wide well flared base, set well but again needs more width between. Gorgeous eyes, very oriental in both shape & slant with a very intense deep bright blue colour & lovely expression. Long elegant neckline, long lithe body, long slim legs, oval paws, good length fine whip tail. His coat was well prepared & lay close, quite a good shorter length also. Lightly shaded & with excellent contrast still to his tabby tracings, well marked cheek ribbons, clear ‘M’ on the brow, whisker spots, slight thumbprints on the ears, leg bracelets excellent, tail rings better towards the tip. His condition was excellent, he has a wonderful completely relaxed nature & shows extremely well. AC Oriental Self, Neuter;1st HALLIDAY’S PR TOHGAR TERRACOTA. 37d. 16-07-07.Red, very composed lad of generally very good type. Good length wedge, some muzzle pinch, head requires a little more depth in profile, this is exacerbated due to some dip in profile & the chin requiring a little more strength, also some acne present, some gingivitis also. Ears well set, good wide base, good for size. Eyes have very pleasing oriental shape & slant, with a very good bright green tone. Firm well muscled body of very good length, with slender limbs, oval paws, reasonably well balanced length tail. Close lying coat, could be just a little shorter ideally, glossy & well prepared. Attractive bright red tone showing spotted base pattern, which was a little too contrasted for my preference, with more defined tail rings also. His physical condition was excellent, a gentle relaxed lad to handle. AC Oriental/Siamese/Balinese Limit Neuter;1st BLACKBOURN’S PLEZETOBE PARDON MYFRENCH. 24a. 18-04-07.Blue Point Siamese, very apt name for this lady whose language & behaviour were as blue as her colour. Tends to bonnet her ears quite a bit (which seemed to be a general problem on the day, in this section), but aside was quite a stylish girl. Medium length well balanced wedge, almost straight profile, adequate chin, no certificate involved & as she was so obviously unhappy I did not check her bite. Ears medium size well set, good open base though as stated tilts rather too forward. Eyes very good oriental shape & slant, deep blue tone, flashing with indignation. Lithe toned body, medium length, slender limbs, neat paws, very good length fine whip tail. Coat was quite a good shorter length & was close lying, very good texture. Fair amount of shading but of a good soft tonal blue tone so did not detract unduly, still more than adequate contrast to the matching mid blue points. Condition was excellent, demeanour could be much improved…………something of a madam. AC Oriental Neuter Outside Lancs;1st NELSON’S PR TIDLYPOO JUSTIN TYME. 38d. 25-02-06.Red Spotted Tabby, interesting as his pattern though visible is not as well contrasted as a great number of ‘Red Selfs’. Shorter length broad wedge, excellent profile, needs a little more chin, bite good. Ears are set wide apart, quite well open flare to their base, could be a little larger. The eyes have quite a pleasing green tone & are a very good oriental shape & slant. Well muscled body of very good length, long legs, oval paws, well balanced fine tail but with a very slight imperfection at the extremity. Close lying coat, good shorter length, well prepared. Generally good facial markings but the body spotting was very superficial, better leg bracelets, adequate tail rings. Colour a pleasing bright warm shade of red, just requiring a greater degree of contrast between the ground colour & pattern. His condition was excellent as was his temperament. Marked as Wrong Pattern. DUNN’S PIPPASTRO MINALOOSH. 62 43bs. 12-05-07.Chocolate Silver Shaded Oriental Longhair, ‘is what is says on the tin’, but didn’t in the pen. Another case (as far as I am concerned) where the pattern is wrong (& yes I did hear the comment!, but hey! I bred them myself so know how it works). A most stylish exhibit of excellent type (as ever from this prefix), good length even wedge, excellent profile, good depth chin, bite good. Ears large, with wide base, very good inner ear furnishings, beautifully set fixed position, fringed wispy base. Expressive eyes, oriental in both shape & slant, with a very good bright green colour. Elegant neckline, long well toned body, long legs, not the daintiest of paws perhaps (goes with the territory), well balanced plumed tail. Coat silky & soft with generally quite good length, laying along the body, full britches. Now we come to pattern, the facial markings are showing strong cheek stripes & clear ‘M’, body pattern is showing some linked spots but these are quite definite & sharply contrasted, against the creamy chocolate silver ground colour, yes there is a silver undercoat as there would be with any silver patterned cat but this has not in any way pushed the pattern up to give the suffused the surface pattern to make it Shaded, leg bracelets are again very definite, nothing in the way of tail rings to speak of, solid chocolate heel markings & outer edges of the paws. Wonderful temperament & condition.
