My thanks go to Lilian and Harry for the invitation to judge and to the ladies who worked so hard to produce our delicious lunch also to Barbara Gould who stewarded for me in her usual expert way, handling the cats with great care.

OPEN CLASSES

Chocolate Point Female Adult

1st (CC withheld) NEWSON’S MAFDET FANCY NANCY (24b) F 08.06.08

Dainty young queen still a little adolescent, good type with a medium wedge, tiny pinch and good top of head. Almost straight profile, neat level bite, chin slopes away. Oriental set and shape to bright mid blue eyes. Large ears, flared and well set. Long firm body, long legs, dainty paws. Tapering tail needs more length. Sleek short pale ivory coat, just lightly shaded with dark rather cold chocolate points colour. Well shown and presented, tense but handled well.

2nd MORGAN’S ASTRALBLAESE ATALANTA (24b) F 22.03.08

Slightly older queen but still not fully mature, a fineboned girl with a rather narrow wedge head and good topline. Small rise between eyes on profile, bite very untidy, slightly undershot with double canines pointing at right angles to her other teeth – this was confirmed by the Duty Vet. Oriental eyes of a good depth of blue. Large ears needing a little more width at base, well set. Lengthy dainty body, long slender limbs long fine tail. Fine textured short coat almost clear pale ivory with mid chocolate points colour. Delightful temperament, good condition and comfortably presented.

Lilac Point Male Neuter

1st PC KERSEY’S PR MALIKSIAM WILBUR-MEWZED (24c) MN 06.09.07

Large strong cat looking mature for his age, medium wedge with minimal pinch and good top of head. Straight profile, rather untidy bite, chin slopes away a little. Oriental eyes of deep bright blue. Large flared very well set ears. Long plump body, long strong legs with neat paws. Tapering tail of balanced length. Sleek short magnolia coat with light tonal shading and rather dark grey toned lilac points. Condition, presentation and temperament all excellent.

Lilac Point Female Neuter

1st PC BOB FREEMAN’S CH & PR SOWHYNOT SERENDIPITY (24c) FN 02.09.05

A mature, good sized but feminine lilac female neuter of very good type, medium wedge, small pinch and balanced top of head. Straight profile, some teeth missing but bite level, firm, chin. Expressive brilliant blue eyes, oriental in set and shape. Long slightly well nourished body, long legs, neat paws. Tail needs an inch to balance. Coat fine in texture, a touch long, some shading but plenty of contrast and slightly dark grey toned lilac points colour. A calm gentle girl shown in excellent condition and beautifully presented.

Caramel Point Siamese Kitten Female

1st BOB RICHARDS’ DEBIKAT MAYZI-FANTAZEE (24n) F 28.02.09

Very attractive and well grown kitten of very good type, medium slightly pinched wedge with very good top of head. Profile straightening well, neat level bite and firm chin. Expressive slightly deep set oriental eyes of clear bright blue. Large wide based very well set ears. Long firm body, long slender limbs, tail a balanced whip. Coat still a little sparse, fine textured and clear, points rather pale for a caramel at present – soft greyish brown. A bright lively kitten, very well shown and presented.

MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES

Lilac Point Breeders Adult

1ST DUNCAN’S UK GR CH BRYTHAIS LILYPUT (24c) F 17.06.03

Mature lilac queen, looking good for her age with a well balanced strong wedge head and very good topline. Small bump on profile, good bite and chin. Expressive deep blue oriental eyes. Large wide based very well set ears. Long plump body, long legs, neat paws. Tail needs more length to balance. Fine short coat still almost clear with good soft grey toned lilac points. Very good to handle, beautifully presented.

2nd MORGAN’S CH ASTRALBLAESE PEGASUS (24c) M 28.05.08

Large strong lilac male with a medium wedge head, small pinch and very good top of head. Profile almost straight, good bite and chin. Oriental eyes of clear bright blue. Large fairly wide based very well set ears. Long well muscled body, long strong limbs, long tapering tail. Coat almost clear, short and fine textured with slightly dark lilac points colour. Delightful temperament, very well shown and presented.

Kitten having won an Open Class

1st MATTHEWS & PUGH’S BERNBECKS MASTERPIECE (24) M 10.03.09

Beautiful seal baby, excellent type and well grown. Short strong head with wide topline. Profile still rather uneven, bite just over, firm chin. Expressive oriental eyes of brilliant blue. Large very wide at base beautifully set ears. Long fine boned body, long legs, neat paws. Whippy tail of good length. Short fine coat still rather muddy with good dense seal brown points colour. A confident friendly kitten very well shown and presented.

2ND DAVIES’ JOHPAS RUBY TALLULAH (32a) F 12.02.09

Lovely red point kitten who was unlucky to meet the winner, well grown with a strong head and balanced topline. Small rise on profile, neat level bite, slightly shallow chin. Expressive slightly small rather deep set eyes oriental in shape, still straight set at present, the colour deep blue. Large wide based very well set ears. Lengthy svelte body, long slender limbs, long whippy tail. Clear warm white coat, short and close lying with good red gold points colour. Very good to handle, well shown and presented.

3rd SMITH’S TOGHAR RED ADARE (32a) M 11.12.08

Novice Kitten Male 2 super kittens, hard to chose between them

1st SIMPSON’S SHERMESE SHENNANIGANS (32/1) M 10.03.09

Beautiful seal tabby kitten who just had the edge for me with such an endearing expression in his brilliant blue oriental eyes. Short even wedge with large open based ears beautifully set on a broad topline. Long firm body, long legs, neat oval paws. Whip tail of good length. Short sleek coat, almost clear with seal tabby tracings developing well. Excellent temperament, condition and presentation.

2ND SKIVINGTON’S MEILLAND MISTER FINLEY (24) M 02.03.09

Another lovely and well grown kitten of very good type, medium wedge with minimal pinch and wide topline. Profile still rather uneven, good bite and chin. Deep blue eye colour, oriental shape, straight set at present. Large wide based very well set ears. Long fine tail. Long firm body, long legs, neat paws. Short close lying coat still rather muddy with warm seal brown points colour. A friendly confident baby very well shown and presented. B

Breed 24 Siamese Non-Breeders Neuter Another difficult class with the 1st and 2nd placed cats so close, the winner having the best eye and points colour.

1st MUSSON’S GR PR MEILLAND MY KINDA GUY (24) MN 29.06.06

I awarded this cat an Imperial last time we met, he is of superb type, a big lengthy cat with a strong wedge head and broad topline. Deep bright blue oriental eyes and large wide based ears set following the wedge. Lengthy svelte body, long slender limbs, long fine tail. Sleek short coat still only lightly shaded with good dense seal brown points colour. Shy but handled well, beautifully shown and presented.

2ND COPELAND’S GR PR FLOWERDEW GTX PECTATIONS (24) MN 02.02.08

So unlucky to meet the winner another extremely handsome seal neuter of wonderful type. Longer wedge head with pinch and wide topline. Straight ‘roman’ profile, good bite and chin. Bright clear blue oriental eyes. Large very wide based beautifully set ears. Lengthy firm body, long slender limbs, long tapering tail. Coat short, fine textured shaded but with contrast and dark seal points colour. Very confident and imposing young man, shown in excellent condition and comfortably presented.
