Somerset Cat Club 6th June 2009

My thanks to John Elaine & Lisa for a wonderful day, the show had a lovely atmosphere. I was very pleased that my own Sue Barrett offered to steward for me. She handled the cats wonderfully, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

ASIAN SMOKE /BURMILLA KITTEN:

W/C Mesdames Williams & Pallett’s KENNBURY GLIMPSEOFSHE (72 43aq) (25/11/08. F)

A lovely natured blue Burmilla with Burmese colour restriction. Nicely rounded top of head between medium-large sized ears of good shape and set. Medium wedge blunt at the muzzle. Fairly good nose break, nose rolls off at the tip. Medium depth to a level chin. Level bite. Chartreuse eyes not fully opened for me. Fairly good weight and sized body. The legs are slender and proportionate to the body with neat oval paws. Straight tail slightly short to balance, medium in thickness at the base tapering to a rounded tip. Short, fine, close lying coat with a satin like texture. Tabby markings blue M on forehead, bars on front legs. Mushroom brown broken necklace. Pale coloured coat with sandy overtones, the colour somewhat resembled that of a caramel. There were minimal traces of a pale blue. The back of the rear legs were blue together with the tip of the tail. Paw pads between pink and purple.

A.C. ASIAN BREEDERS ADULT:

1st, Pilkington’s CH GARES OYSTERCATCHER (72 45q) (24/7/07. F)

A lovely natured brown ticked tabby with Burmese colour restriction. Gently rounded top of head between medium-large sized ears of good shape and set. Medium wedge blunt at the muzzle. Slightly rounded brow. Good nose break, and a straight nose to the tip. Medium depth to the level chin. Large and lustrous chartreuse eyes of good shape. Good weight and size to the body, with a strong rounded chest in profile. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a rounded tip. Super, short, fine, close lying rich warm seal brown ticked coat with a satin like texture. “M” on forehead clearly visible with barring on all legs.
Coat shades to a paler ground colour on the belly and inside legs. Brown line down the tail, brown bottom back legs and tail tip. 

A.C. ASIAN NON-BREEDERS ADULT:

1st Francis’ HOBBERDY STILEWAY MATILDA (72 45hq) (4/3/08. F)

A chocolate tortie ticked tabby Asian, with a delightful nature, quite talkative. Nicely rounded top of head between medium to large sized ears of good shape and set well apart. Short blunt wedge. Good nose break with a short straight nose to the tip. Medium depth to a level chin. Large lustrous chartreuse eyes of good shape and set well apart. Good weight and size to the body. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length.  Lovely short, close lying warm milk chocolate ticked coat with shades of red on a pale brown with pale red ground. The tortie markings were evident throughout the coat with some noticeable on the toes. Chocolate lower rear legs, stripe down tail and tail tip. Thumbprints on the ears. 

2nd Beale’s HURTLEPUSS TALLULAH (68 45e) (17/7/06. F)

A brown tortie ticked tabby tiffanie with a lovely nature. Good top of head, well furnished ears of good shape and set well apart. Short wedge blunt at the muzzle. Good nose break and a straight nose to the tip. Medium depth to the level chin. Large lustrous green eyes of good shape. Good weight and size to body. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length, has a good plume like appearance. Medium to long length brown tortie ticked coat, well defined pattern with warmth, a fine silky texture, lies flat along the spine. Good Ruff and breeches. Nicely developed and balanced.

3rd Robertshaws INYANGA FANDANGO HAMISH (72 42q) (14/8/05. M)

Brown smoke with BCR. Super temperament. Slightly rounded top of head between medium to large sized ears of good shape and set well apart. Medium wedge fine at the muzzle. Fair nose break with a slightly long straight nose to the tip. Medium depth to a level chin. Pale green eyes set well apart and of good shape. Well developed muscular body of good weight and size. Slender and proportionate legs with neat oval paws. Straight tail, short to balance. Short, fine, close lying, rich warm seal brown smoked coat with a satin like texture and a paler silver white ground colour no more than half the total hair length.

4th Agus’ INYANGA CHINA-TREE (72 43asq) (17/4/08. F)

Blue silver Burmilla with BCR. Nice top of head, good size and shape ears, medium wedge quite blunt at the muzzle. Poor nose break, straight nose to tip. Medium depth level chin. Large lustrous chartreuse eyes of good shape and set. Good weight and size to body with slender and proportionate legs and neat oval paws. Straight tail of good length which has rings and a rounded tip with a pip at the end. Short, fine, close lying silvery blue coat with a paler silvery blue ground colour. Bars on all legs, sandy coloured feet.
Nicely behaved and presented.

A.C. ASIAN NON-BREEDERS NEUTER:

1st Elridge’s GR PR FRILFORD FUSILIER (72 43s) (10/10/02. MN)

Black silver burmilla. A shy but good tempered chap. Gentle rounding to the top of the head between the medium-large sized ears of good shape and set well apart. Medium wedge. Good nose break with a long straight nose to the tip. Good depth to the level chin. Large and lustrous, expressive yellow eyes of good shape and set. Good weight and size to the mature body with a strong rounded chest in profile. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length. Fairly long, open coat. Black shading on a silvery ground colour, brownish in areas. Stripes on all legs, a few faint spots on the belly, darker colour down the back. There is a patch of less covering on the abdomen, he probably uses a heated bed.

2nd Farinton-Stephens PR CHAMORE CAPTAINCLOUDY (72 43aq) (17/10/02. MN)

Blue Burmilla with BCR. Well fed nice natured mature chap. A slightly rounded top of head between medium-large sized ears of good shape and set. Fairly short wedge blunt at the muzzle. Good nose break with a straight nose to the tip. Medium depth to a level chin. Level bite. Large lustrous green eyes of good shape and set. Body of good weight and size. Proportionate legs with neat oval paws. Straight tail of good length tapering to a rounded tip which has a noticeable tension. Short, fine, close lying soft silvery grey coat with honey toned ground colour, it has a satin like texture. Darker blue along the spine line and tail.

BROWN BURMESE ADULT:

1st CC & BOB Moore’s CH DULCAMARA SOUSANNA (27) (24/10/06. F)

Nice looking matured lady with cattitude. Gently rounded top of head between medium size ears of good shape and set well apart. Short blunt wedge. Good nose break and a short straight nose to the tip. Medium depth to the level chin. Large lustrous pale chartreuse eyes of good shape and set well apart. Good weight and size to the body. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length.  Short, fine, close lying rich warm seal brown coat with a satin like texture.

CHOCOLATE BURMESE ADULT MALE:

1st & CC Kitson’s CH MOOTAM BARTHOLOMEW (27b) (26/12/06. M)

Matured boy with a super temperament. Nicely  rounded top of head between medium size ears of good shape and set well apart. Medium wedge blunt at the muzzle. Good nose break, fairly short nose to tip. Good depth to level chin. Large lustrous pale chartreuse eyes of good shape and set.  Medium sized well developed body of good weight. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Fairly short, close lying dark chocolate coat with a darker mask and points, slight ticking evident.

2nd Somerfield’s KATZKADE SARACEN (27b) (15/5/08. M)

Young adolescent boy, not yet fully matured. Nice nature. Gently rounded top of head between medium size ears of good shape and set.  Medium wedge blunt at the muzzle. Good nose break, fairly short straight nose to the tip. Good depth to a level chin. Almost almond shaped chartreuse eyes set well apart. Medium sized  body a little rangy at the moment. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Fairly short, close lying pale chocolate coat with a darker mask and points, slight ticking evident.

3rd Vickers MAJIK MISTER DARCY (27b) (1/3/05. M)

Super natured gentleman. Nicely rounded top of head between medium size ears of good shape and set well apart. Long wedge blunt at the muzzle. Fair nose break, long nose to the tip. Medium depth to the level chin. Large lustrous  chartreuse eyes of good shape and set.  Medium sized well developed body of good weight. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Fairly open ticked woolly chocolate coat. Bars evident on back legs.

CHOCOLATE BURMESE ADULT FEMALE:

1st & CC Bond’s TEIGNAGE TEASE (27b) (4/6/07. F)

Bags of attitude and plenty to say. Nice type. Good top of head, ears of good shape and set well apart. Short blunt wedge. Good nose break, straight short nose to tip. Medium depth to a level chin. Large lustrous pale chartreuse eyes of good shape and set. Acceptable but on the smaller  sized body of good weight for size. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Fairly short, close lying chocolate coat with a nice texture.

BOB Virtue’s HOBBERDY HOCUS POCUS  (27b) (28/1/07. F)

Nice looking cat with good type, large lustrous yellow expressive eyes. Lovely wedge, distinctive  nose break. Super coat. Good weight and sized body with proportionate legs and neat oval paws. A little unhappy today.

BROWN BURMESE KITTEN:

1st & BOB Beale’s TEIGNAGE BETTY BOOP (27) (19/12/08. F)

Lovely natured young lady of nearly six months age. Gently rounded top of head with medium to large ears of good shape. Fairly short blunt wedge. Good nose break, straight short nose to tip. Medium depth level chin. Chartreuse eyes I would prefer more fullness to the shape for perfection. Good size and weight to the body.  Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Good texture to slightly long and open coat. Hint of barring on back legs.

2nd Moore’s DULCAMARAB CASIOPEIA (27) (20/2/09. F)

Really super temperament on this very young lady. Nicely rounded top of head, medium to large ears of good shape. Medium wedge, blunt at the muzzle. Fairly good nose break, straight  nose to tip. Medium depth to the level chin. Lovely ruddy yellow eyes, I would prefer them a tad larger. Good weight and size to the body for her age. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Fairly short, fine, close lying rich warm seal brown coat with a satin like texture.

CHOCOLATE BURMESE KITTEN:

1st & BOB Bond’s ADNIOBU ARMANI ANGEL (27b) (10/11/08. F)

Super nature and temperament. Gently rounded top of head between large ears of good shape. Medium wedge slightly fine at the muzzle. Fairly good nose break. Medium depth chin, slightly set back. Level bite. Slightly small ruddy yellow eyes.  Medium sized body of good weight. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length. Short, fine close lying pale chocolate coat, rather cool in appearance.

2nd Clark’s ADNIOBU AMAZING GRACE (27b) (21/12/08. F)

Lovely nature. Gently rounded top of head between large ears of good shape. Medium wedge fine at the muzzle. Good nose break, nose rolls off at the tip. Medium depth to the level chin. Large, lustrous ruddy yellow eyes of good shape. Medium sized body of good weight. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Fairly short, close lying pale chocolate coat with warmth and a satin like texture. She purred continuously.

LILAC BURMESE KITTEN MALE:

1st & BOB Lang’s LAMONDOR SAMIR SUNDAR (27c) (25/9/08. M)

Lovely boy with a nice temperament. Gently rounded top of head between medium to large ears of good shape. Medium wedge blunt at the muzzle. Good nose break, slightly long rounding nose to the tip. Medium depth to a level chin. Level bite. Large lustrous yellow eyes of good shape and set well apart. Medium sized body of good weight. Neat oval paws on slender and proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length with a paintbrush tip. Short, fine, close lying lilac coat with a satin like texture.

BROWN TORTIE BURMESE KITTEN:

1st & BOB Findlay & Findlay-Phillips’ SILKIWITCH SPELLBOUND (27e) (12/9/08. F)

Sweet young lady very talkative. Gently rounded top of head between medium to large sized ears of good shape. Medium wedge fairly blunt at the muzzle. Good nose break. Medium depth to the level chin. Lustrous chartreuse eyes of good shape and set, I would prefer them a trifle larger. Medium sized body of good weight, with neat oval paws on slender proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length. Short, fine, close lying brown tortie coat with a soft satin like texture.

Super mature lady with a lovely disposition. Nice type with a super shiny coat. Tail just a trifle short to balance.

BLUE BURMESE NEUTER FEMALE:

Good natured older lady. Gently rounded top of head between medium sized ears of good shape and set well apart. Medium wedge blunt at the muzzle. Good nose break. Medium depth chin, recedes slightly. Level bite. Large, lustrous  chartreuse eyes of good shape and set. Medium sized body of good weight. Neat oval paws on slender proportionate legs. Straight tail of good length. Short, fine, close lying blue coat satin like in texture.

BENGAL BROWN SPOTTED KITTEN MALE:

1st Riley-Jones’ BAMBINO SUNSHADOW (76 30) (9/10/08. M)

Slightly unhappy about being shown today.  Medium, long balanced muscular body on this seven months of age boy. Good firm feel to him. Medium length, well boned, strong muscular legs with large rounded paws. Tail of good length, just a touch thinner than my liking, carried low and with a dark pointed tip. Medium dense coat, soft and luxurious in texture. Two toned spots and rosettes on a golden rufus ground colour. Clear facial markings with ‘M’ on the forehead, pencil lines on cheeks, chin straps and vertical streaks over the head. Two defined necklaces present. Rings on tail and distinct spots on the tummy. Broad medium wedge, rounded contours and high cheek bones. The head is correctly small in proportion to the body and longer than it’s width. Gentle curve from forehead to bridge of nose, giving a slight concave curve in profile. Broad nose. Nice broad muzzle, level bite and good depth to the chin. Good whisker pads. Medium to large ears following the outer contours of the head, wide at base and rounded at tips. Oval to round shaped, yellow eyes correctly slanted towards the base of the ear.

BENGAL BROWN SPOTTED KITTEN FEMALE:

1st & BOB Eyre-Brook’s WOTHOPE RUBY TUESDAY (76 30) (7/1/09. F)

Playful young girl with a lovely temperament.  Medium-large, long muscular balanced body, good firm feel to it. Medium length, strong muscular legs and large rounded paws. Good  length tail, carried low and with a rounded dark  tip. Short to medium length dense coat with a soft and luxurious texture. Very distinct two toned spots and rosettes on a golden rufus ground coloured coat. Facial markings clearly defined with an ‘M’ on the forehead, pencil lines on the  cheeks, chin straps and vertical streaks over the top of the head. Two well defined necklaces. Rings on the tail and spots on the tummy. Broad medium wedge with rounded contours and high cheek bones. The head is small in proportion to the body and longer than it is wide. Gentle curve from the forehead to the bridge of the nose and a slight concave curve in profile. Large, broad puffed nose leather. Broad muzzle, level bite and good depth to the firm rounded chin. Medium sized ears of good shape and set following the outer contours of the head. Greenish hazel almond shaped eyes slanted towards the base of the ear.

2nd Chable’s SALVAJE JAI HO (76 30) (28/2/09. F)

Very small and very nervous, just old enough for it’s first show. Small body. Proportionately medium length legs with large rounded paws. Good length tail, carried low and with a rounded dark tip. Short to medium length open coat with a soft texture. Distinct two toned spots and rosettes on a golden rufus ground colour coat. Lovely facial markings, with an ‘M’ on the forehead, pencil lines on the cheeks, chin straps and vertical streaks over the top of the head. Dark unbroken necklace. Rings on the tail and spots on the tummy. Spots and stripes on legs. Fine wedge at the moment, with rounded contours and high cheek bones. The head is correctly small in proportion to the body and longer than it’s width. Good profile with gentle curve from the forehead to the bridge of the nose. Broad developing nose leather. Broad muzzle, level bite and moderate depth to a rounded chin. Medium-large sized ears of good shape. Greyish hazel almond shaped eyes of good shape and set.

BENGAL BROWN MARBLED KITTEN:

1st & BOB Wagstaff’s SEREGON RODRIGUEZ SANDIARGO (76 20) (3/11/08. M)

Almost eight months of age brown marbled Bengal boy with a super temperament, talkative and very friendly. Long, muscular, robust well developed body with good muscle tone. Medium length, strong legs with large rounded paws. Medium length tail, thick and even with a dark rounded tip, carried low. Very dense, short to medium length coat, soft and luxurious feel to it.  Good degree of rufus yielding orange ground colour. Non-symmetrical swirled patches giving the impression of real marble. Clear facial markings with an ‘M’ on the face, pencil lines on the cheeks and vertical streaks over the top of the head. Two dark unbroken necklaces. Broken horizontal lines and spots on the legs down to the toes, clearly defined spots on the tummy and rings on the tail. Broad medium wedge with rounded contours, high cheek bones, head small in proportion to the body. In profile gentle curve from the forehead to the bridge of the nose.  Large and broad nose, puffed leather. Rounded muzzle, level bite and good depth to the rounded chin. Small-medium sized ears of good shape and set, wide at base and rounded at the tips. Almond shaped, greenish grey eyes, large, set on a slight slant towards the base of the ear.
