Southern Counties Cat Club Show – 30th January 2010 Show Report – Mary Kalal

Congratulations to Brenda, Sue and the Club for a very happy and successful show which I thoroughly enjoyed and many thanks for the kind invitation and warm hospitality. Many thanks also to Irene for her good company, excellent handling of the exhibits and expertise; we spent a very happy day together and I look forward to the next time.

AC Oriental Champion, Female:

1 and GR CH to VOGGERS GR CH SANDTUM SUGAR NSPICE (37k) 17.3.05.

A pretty female with a lovely friendly temperament and an excellent expression in her vivid green eyes; long firm body, long fine legs with small oval paws and fine tail to balance; large ears well set and flared, medium length wedge head, slight dip in profile, good chin and level bite; long elegant neck. Coat short and close, excellent shine and texture and showing warm cinnamon brown colouring, slightly lighter at base and showing a faint ghost scarab on her forehead; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

RESERVE to WALTER CH NUTROSTAR APRILMOON (37e) 3.4.08.

A fine boned and dainty female with a long lithe body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine tail to balance; large ears well set and flared, balanced wedge head, almost straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of hazel green. Long neck, coat short, close and showing a well patched and mingled pattern in black and shades of red; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

AC Siamese or Balinese Grand Premier, Male:

1 and IGP to KERSEY GR PR MALIKASIAM WILBUR-MEWZED (24c) 6.9.07.

A handsome cat, firm muscular and beautifully balanced with a long firm body, legs and oval paws in proportion, tail fine and balanced; ears large, flared and of excellent set, balanced wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely deep colour and excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close with soft pink-grey lilac points and clear magnolia body colour; excellent condition and most beautifully presented.

RESERVE to MARTIN GR PR ABICASA PEER GYNT (24n) 16.12.08.

Another handsome cat of excellent type and balance with a long firm well muscled body, long fine legs and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of dark blue with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short, close and shining with dark caramel points colour, body shaded in tone but he has very good contrast; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

Devon Rex Adult, Female:

BOB to BRYNES GR CH BOUNTIFUL O’SU’GAR (33a36) 9.8.07.

A naughty little female with a charming expression; firm hard body, long fine legs with small oval paws and balanced well covered tail; ears large, tufted, wide at base and wide set, broad short head, flat skull, distinct stop to profile, good broad muzzle, firm chin and level bite; large green eyes with an excellent expression. Long neck, coat silky and well rexed, body and under-parts well covered with deep even waves; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

1and CC to DAVIES PHILOKALIA BAD PENNY (33a36a) 27.9.08.

A rather tense female but she handled well; firm lithe body, dainty legs and paws, balanced well covered tail; large ears, tufted, wide at base, well set and with ear muffs, broad short head, flat skull, break there but could be more defined, nice broad muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set, expressive and hazel green. Coat short and silky, very well waved over her body, under-parts covered in short fine fur; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to WARRENER REXIRU BLACK ORCHID (36a36) 23.3.09.

A sweet natured young female with a firm lithe body, dainty legs and paws and long well covered tail to balance; ears quite large, tufted, broad at base and well set, head a little narrow at present, muzzle quite broad, chin a little shallow, bite level; eyes large, well set and green colour with an excellent expression. Long neck, coat silky but a little open, waves there but not tight, body well covered, under-parts have short fine fur; excellent condition and well presented.

Oriental Lilac Neuter, Male:

BOB to LUNDGREN PR BEAUBUBBLY ODIN (29c) 1.11.06.

A handsome cat with a long firm well muscled body, long fine legs with oval paws and fine tail to balance; large ears well set and flared, even wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of hazel green, excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close showing dark but warm toned lilac; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

Red Point Siamese Adult, Female:

1CC and BOB to GOULD MYLYNN MAISEE B (32a) 11.4.09.

A very pretty female of excellent type and balance, just an adult, but very tense and grumbley and she preferred her pen, although she did come out and swear at us! Lithe firm body, dainty legs and paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of dark intense blue, excellent expression. Long neck, coat short and close with medium red points colour and a clear warm tone to body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to DENT ROZANDEN ZULEIKA (32a) 25.9.07.

Another tense and rather shy female but she handled well; long firm body, long fine legs with small oval paws and fine balanced tail; large ears well flared but held a little high, wedge head which needs a little more width across her eyes, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely intense blue. Coat short and close with soft red points colour and a clear warm toned body; excellent condition and well presented.

AC Balinese Kitten, Male:

PININGTON'S SPINDIAMOND IAMISAID (61c) 2.7.09

1 and BOB to a shy young male, well developed and strong with a long lithe body, long legs with oval paws and long tapering tail with plume developing well; large ears held slightly high until he relaxed, medium length wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; eyes of oriental set, rather full shape, again until he relaxes, vivid blue colour. Coat soft fine and silky, well developed in length for his age with soft blue points and a clear cool toned body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

Cream Point Siamese Neuter Male:

BOB to EMMENS GR PR JOHPAS JACKSPARROW (32c) 5.9.07.

A charming cat who purred all the time he was handled; long firm body, long fine legs, tail fine but needs an extra couple of inches to balance; large ears lightly tufted and excellent set, medium length wedge head, slight dip in profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of vivid blue, excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close with soft cream points colour, body has a warm tone, excellent condition and presentation.

AC Balinese Neuter Female:

1 PC and BOB to BERRY PIPPASTRO SOLACE (61p) 17.2.08.

A very pretty female with a lovely expression; long lithe body with fine legs and paws, tail long, tapering and plume-like; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced medium length wedge head, straight profile, firm chin and level bite; oriental eyes of lovely dark blue, excellent expression. Well developed silky coat with soft blue points patched with shades of cream, body clear; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

AC Oriental Visitors Adult:

1 to SIMPSON BARBECCO ELONIA (37k) 21.3.09.

A well developed female with a long firm body, fine legs and paws and long fine tail to balance; large ears well flared but she has a tendency to bonnet them, wide set, medium length wedge head, slight dip in profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes with a yellowy cast to their hazel colour. Long neck; coat short and close, very good warm cinnamon colouring slightly lighter at base and showing a shadow scarab pattern on head; excellent condition and presentation.

2 to CLAY CHINKILYNX MYSUNNY BOY (37fn) 29.3.09.

A sweet natured cat with a long lithe body, long fine legs and fine balanced tail; large ears well set and flared, balanced wedge head with a small muzzle pinch, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes, colour appeared to be pale yellow in the hall lighting. Coat short and close, showing a shadow spotted pattern on a paler background; excellent condition and well presented.

AC Oriental Debutante Kitten:

1 to WESTBROOK-JOHNSON SPIRITWIND KASHIN TOPGUN (37n) 29.7.09.

A handsome young male of lovely type and balance with a long lithe well muscled body, long fine legs with small oval paws and long fine tail to balance; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of bright green colour, excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close, excellent shine and texture, clear caramel colouring, excellent condition and beautifully presented.

2 to BAX MYLYNN MAHRAJH (62.43s) 8.5.09.

Another strong, well developed and handsome young male, who ran the winner very close; firm muscular body with legs and oval paws in proportion, tail long and tapered with plume developing; ears of excellent set and flare, balanced even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of green colour with an excellent expression. Coat of very good length for age and silky texture, black shading on a silvery white base; excellent condition and presentation.

3 to ROPER SNOWSEAL SUNNYDELIGHT (37r) 9.9.09.

1 to BAUGHAN FLUTTERBY KISS ME QUICK (32b3) 14.4.09.

A lovely female with an excellent expression; fine boned and well balanced with a long firm body, dainty legs and paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of vivid blue with an excellent expression. Long neck; coat short and close with points well patched in chocolate and shades of red, clear ivory body; excellent condition and presentation.

2 to BUNYAN MYLYNN MEANTOBEE (32c) 11.4.09.

Another lovely female of very good type and balance, just an adult, long firm body, dainty legs and paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of dark blue. Long neck; coat short and close with soft cream points and a warm tone to body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

3 to GOULD MYLYNN MAISEE B (32a) 11.4.09.

AC Siamese/Balinese Junior Adult:

1 to MILLER CH CATLANTIC CHANEL (32b1) 17.7.08.

A beautiful female with a lovely expression; long firm body, dainty legs and paws, tail fine but needs an extra inch or so to balance; large ears of excellent set and flare, even wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of bright vivid blue, excellent expression. Long neck; points well patched and mingled in seal and shades of red with a very attractive facial blaze; some patching on body but very good contrast; excellent condition and presentation.

2 to RICHARDS DEBIKAT MAYZI-FANTAZEE (24n) 28.2.09.

An elegant young female with a long lithe body, dainty legs and paws and long fine tail; large ears of excellent set and flare, balanced wedge head, almost straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of vivid blue colour. Long neck; lilac based caramel points and clear body; excellent condition.

3 to MARTIN ABICASA AMAZING GRACE (24) 26.2.09.

AC Siamese Breeders Kitten:

1 to MARTIN ABICASA SUPER TROOUPER (32.8) 9.10.09.

A dear little male, monorchid at present; firm lithe body, fine legs and paws and fine balanced tail, well ringed; large well set ears with thumb-prints, balanced wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of vivid blue. Coat short and close with caramel tabby markings on points and a clear body; excellent condition and well presented.

2 to WEBSTER SPICESIAM ANISE STAR (32a) 17.6.09.

A young female with a slight dip and bump on profile, good chin and level bite; ears large and well set; oriental eyes of intense blue, excellent expression. Coat slightly long but close, soft red points colour with a clear warm tone to body; excellent condition and beautifully presented.

A shy young female but she handled well; firm body, dainty legs and paws and fine balanced tail; large ears held slightly high, balanced wedge head, straight profile, good chin and level bite; oriental eyes of dark blue colour. Coat short and close with dark lilac points and clear body, excellent condition and presentation.
