SOUTHERN COUNTIES CAT CLUB – 30TH JANUARY, 2010. MRS. PAT PERKINS – SHOW REPORT

My thanks to Brenda, Sue, Sarah and all the hardworking team for a most enjoyable time at the “Southern” the hall looked nice, super rosettes, balloons, wine for BOV, Grand and imperial winners (mind you think the judges would have appreciated the wine more than the cats!!) I handled some lovely exhibits helped by Ron Hore who stewarded for me, his assistance and company was much appreciated, look forward to our next engagement.

A.C. NON-SELF PERSIAN CHAMION – MALE

2 super boys in excellent show condition

GR. CH. WILKINSONS UK. & IMP GR. CH. SILVERDANCE AMADEUS – (27.5.05)

Mature Red Smoke, solid bone, thick legs, big feathered feet, good substance. Breadth to head and chest, neat side set ears with silvery red furnishings, broad nose, good break, wide leather and open nostrils, lovely eyes, large, round a rich deep coppery orange, firm chin, good balance. Although not in complete full coat he still had ample creamy white undercoat, full frill, rich red top coat, red mask and legs, short wide tail again showing good contrasts – quality lad.

RES. FISHERS CH.OWLETTS CAT’S PYJAMAS – (2.8.06)

Chunky Silver Tabby Exotic. Solid and set 4 square on short legs, well padded body, thick short tail. Round head with ears small and slightly forward set, large eyes of a good orange, wide nose, strong break, chubby cheeks and firm chin. Thick but soft coat standing away very well showing good tabby on a silvery ground, some slight brindling to sides. Clear M to head, spectacles round eyes, lines from eyes, rings to legs and tail, back lines and butterfly – very gentle lad.

GR. CH. WILSONS CH. TYTHERTON CAN’T BUY ME LOVE – (3.11.08)

Dilute Tortie & White wearing a lovely flowing coat, with pastel blue and cream patching, sparkling white to body, legs and tummy, head well patched, short wide two colour tail. Small but compact build, short sturdy legs, feathered feet. Wide open expression, large round deep orange eyes, broad nose with good break, firm chin, tiny well furnished ears set to side of rounded top of head, lovely show condition and temperament.

RES. FISHERS SHEERBLISS ENCHANTEDLAYDEE – (16.10.06)

Solid chunky Tortie Smoke Exotic who ran winner close. Cobby body, thick short legs, well padded tummy. Rounded apple shaped head, ears well furnished, touch open at base, big expressive orange eyes, nice fat cheeks, firm chin. Very thick teddy bear coat standing away very well, showing red and black top coat, good silvery white contrast overall, tail thick and short with rounded end – gentle nature.

PERSIAN CREAM ADULT – MALE

1ST. CC & BOB POTTERS PRIMISSION DILIGENT – (25.3.09)

Very solid well made lad, muscular body strong thick legs, big feet with lots of tufts. Broad top of head, well set ears nicely furnished just needing to drop a little, big round orange eyes, wide nose, good break, large leather, firm chin. Very full flowing coat, frill framing his head, overall a pale warm cream just a tad shady at roots, wide full tail – friendly boy.

1ST. CC & BOB W/H CONNYBEARE OSCARBARA CHOCOLATE BUTTONS – (4.4.09)

Youngster of 10 months who still has a lot of growing to do. Nice boning, strong legs, body still teenage. Head needs to widen, ears well furnished still held high, medium nose, fair break, good bite, large mid orange eyes. Soft silky coat, although shady at roots the body and head were a dark glossy chocolate, as was his full short tail – lovely temperament on this lad.

1ST. & CC FOSTERS POPUP SALTAN PEPPER – (21.8.08)

Black & White Bi-Colour, solid sturdy boy, thick legs and big feet, strong broad chest, well padded body. Round head with ears forward set and well furnished, lovely big copper expressive eyes, short nose, strong break, fat cheeks and firm chin. Very thick coat standing away nicely, black to back, slightly shady at roots, white to legs, chest and tummy, head patched in black and white, black tail thick with a rounded end – big shy boy.

A.C. SILVER SOMALI KITEN

1ST. & BOB HAWKEMORE SORAFEL SUNSHINE FAITH – (29.5.09) 63as

Very shy Sorrel Silver youngster, although a touch small for 8 months, she was all in balance and very feminine. Coat soft but dense, a silvery peach, ticking pale cinnamon, deeper on back, spine line developing, silvery white to chest, tummy and inner legs, hocks almost full cinnamon. Lovely expression, all eyes at present, almond shape, bright and expressive, ears wide apart, inner furnishings, muzzle still a touch pinched, slight rise from nose bridge to forehead, firm chin – gentle little girl.

NORWEGIAN FOREST NEUTER – MALE

1ST. PC & BOB COMERS CH. ZELADONII MITHRANDIR – (15.4.08)

very solidly constructed Blue & White lad, long body, high thick legs and large feet. Strong triangular head, ears wide at base sitting well in head shape, straight profile, needing a tad more strength to chin, big bright oblique set greenish eyes. Very thick shaggy coat, woolly undercoat, full ruff and knickerbockers, very long well furnished tail. Even blue to body, white to face and paws – very affectionate boy.

FEMALE 1ST. & PC LANGLEYS ZELONDONII KATINKA – (15.4.08)

Blue & White full sister to the boy, smaller not quite the same bone or substance. Sweet lass rather shy, shaggy coat with a good frill, tail long and flowing. Triangular head, lovely greenish oblique set eyes, the fur on the nose giving the impression of a break but her profile was straight just widening out a little towards nose leather. Mid blue body coat, head blue with a white triangle to face, chest and paws white.

TURKISH VANKEDISI ASSESSMENT – ADULT, KITTEN OR NEUTER

MERIT TO LLOYDS TANSDALE INDIGO MOON – (22.4.05)

Solid well made Blue-eyed boy in excellent show condition. Broad wedge shaped ears, ears set high, pink inners, very slight dip to profile, strength to muzzle, large oval eyes of a sound blue. Muscular body, breadth to chest, strong legs and big rounded feet. Soft chalk white coat, ruff and full trousers, long flowing tail – super temperament.

MERIT TO LLOYDS TANSDALE ICE-ICE BABY – (5.7.09)

Very pretty kitten, still needing some development but she has lots of time, reasonable wedge shaped to head, ears large and set high, gentle dip to nose, bright large oval eyes of a good blue, firm chin. Length to body, neat feet. Silky baby coat, ruff developing, a pristine chalk white, long tail to balance – gentle lass.

SNOW SPOTTED BENDAL ADULT – MALE

BOB – BULLS IMP. GR. CH. ADCINSH SOLITAIRES WISH – (11.1.05)

Strong mature boy well muscled, strong legs, rounded paws. Lovely expression, bright eyes of a good blue. Sleek glossy coat showing clear spotting to sides, scarab to head, eye lines, rings to legs, spotted toes, tail ringed, thick with rounded end – well mannered boy.

FEMALE 1st & CC HEDIUND SPRINGMEADOW AMETHYST – (16.4.08)

Mature girl, long muscular body, strong legs, rounded paws. Broad wedge shaped head, ears wide based, rounded tip, good chin and whisker pads. Large oval eyes of a sound deep blue, gentle curve to profile. Dense coat lovely feel, markings distinct on head, scarab, spectacles, eye lines and whisker spots, rosettes to sides, rings to legs, tail thick slightly tapered dark tip, ground has a pearly sheen – most attractive young lady.

2ND. JENKINS KERRYDOWN VELVET MOON – (16.4.09)

Only just an adult but well made, long muscular body, strength to legs. Wedge shaped head with curve to profile, well set ears, large oval eyes which looked rather sore, the vet had a look, he was happy to leave her in the show. Coat glossy showing fair markings, rings to legs and tail, scarab to head – gentle girl not feeling her best today.

1ST. BROWN & MOTTI BRONTTI HOLLY RUNWAY HILL

Well groomed Chocolate Colourpoint in lovely condition, full pale clear coat, rich chocolate to points, not yet 12 months but already has the bone and substance, rounded top of head, wide open eyes, neat ears, alert expression – friendly little girl.

Cobby Blue Exotic, apple head, fat cheeks, lovely round deep copper eyes, firm chin. Sound thick coat standing away very well a real teddy bear look, thick short tail – lovely natured girl.

2ND. HEATHS MARMEISTIEN DUMBLEDORE

Black with big expressive eyes, well set ears, a touch rangy in build, silky coat, rather short – friendly lad.

AC PERSIAN VISITORS – ADULT

1ST. AMBLERS GR. CH. TYTHERTON RALPH LAUREN

Red/White Bi-Colour in super condition. Strong broad head, small ears, stunning round big eyes of a rich deep copper, firm chin, short wide nose, ample break, lovely balance. Well groomed coat, full and flowing, rich red to head, tail and face, the white areas pristine – a quality boy with a temperament to match.

2ND. DAVIS NABOO PHOENIX RISING

Attractive Red Silver Tabby & White Exotic lad, strength to limbs, big round head, another with lovely wide open eyes, a deep orange, firm chin. thick coat of a good texture, tabby to body and head, pristine white to paws, chest and tummy, thick short tail – delightful temperament.

Chocolate Birman girl, lovely coat of a pale clear ivory, soft texture, milk chocolate to mask, ears and tail, neat white paws, even gauntlets. Lovely deep blue eyes, well set ears, slight curve to nose, firm chin, only just 9 months but already a quality little lady. 2ND. MALMGRENS ZELANDONII ARWEN – Blue Tabby Norwegian with a good triangular head, straight profile, ears wide based, fitting into head shape nicely, bright oblique set eyes. Thick shaggy coat showing good tabby to head and sides, long well furnished tail.

3RD. ALLENS MONKANTE MELODY

Seal Ragdoll lass, a little adolescent in development but promising.

1ST. NEWMANS GR. PR. DAIRYMAINE KASABIEN

Super Red Tabby Maine Coon lad in excellent show condition, long muscular body, strong high legs, feet big with undertufts. Classic Maine Coon head, high wide based ears, tipped and feathered, bright oblique set hazel eyes, strong chin, curve to wide nose. Thick coat, shaggy tummy and trousers, frontal ruff, rich red with strong classic tabby markings, tail long and ringed – quality boy in every respect.

2ND. BENNETT & NORFO PR. KITTAH ACHILLES

Seal Birman boy, good bone and substance, strong skull, well set ears, wide at base, lovely deep blue eyes, firm chin. well developed seal mask and points, neat paws and even gauntlets, pristine white, bushy seal tail – friendly lad.
