I would very much like to say congratulations to all who participated to what I feel sure must have been a very successful show, the show management came up with some wonderfully innovative ideas, to ensure that it was not only enjoyable but there was such a pleasant atmosphere throughout, I don’t know who was responsible for arranging the weather but they even managed to pull that off, so a rousing 3 cheers to the joint show managers of Helen, Sue & Sean.   Les Hall was pulled in to steward & performed his duties well, my sincere thanks.

AC Turkish Van Adult, Male;

CC & BOB Not Awarded.  1st.  LOMBARD'S  YENICIZGA IZAMBARD HEDIYE.  13d.  16-05-08.

Amber Eyed Auburn, whilst still looking a little rangy & adolescent, these are basically minor problems which time will hopefully resolve.  Head still to attain width to give substance to what should be a broad substantial wedge, good muzzle, barely perceptible dip to profile to his medium length nose, requires a little more chin, bite good.  Moderately large ears with good feathering to the shell pink interior, set high & quite close.  Eyes were where I had a problem & I did consult with the DV to confirm, one eye is slightly smaller than the other & it is also a different shape, the left eye is the required larger full oval shape whereas the right is a little different (I learned when judging was complete that he had had a slight eye injury some while ago, which tied in with the Vet’s conclusion of mild trauma in the past, the colour was very typical of Turks (despite what the SOP states) in that it is a more greenish hazel tone.  Body long & muscular albeit yet to achieve the breadth that maturity will bring, proportionately well boned legs, neat tufted paws, quite a good brush to its well balanced length.  Coat soft & silky with not woolly undercoat, still to achieve a little more length perfectly in keeping with his age & the time of year.  Vertical blaze separating his head markings, he does have some infringement of the auburn colour on both ears, the markings whilst not matching were generally well balanced, with slight amount of extending colour from the auburn tail, the auburn quite bright with slight tail rings & well contrasted by the chalk white coat.  His condition was excellent, a little up on his toes developmental hormonal stage he is at, as a result getting fussy & excited easily.

Turkish Vankadesi Assessment Adult;

Merit to LOMBARD'S  ADATELO BEYAZ KABA ADAM.  13d wb.  16-05-08.

Blue Eyed,  handsome youngster, broad & well balanced for his age.  Broad substantial wedge, little longer than wide, well developed muzzle, very gentle break almost imperceptible in profile, well developed muzzle, needs a little more chin, bite good.  Ears good larger size, well set (though dropping a little wide & low when he relaxes fully).   Good size & shape to his pale blue eyes.  Body has excellent muscle tone & substance, well developed & showing good maturity, strong legs & good slightly tufted paws, well balanced tail.   Coat soft & well prepared, very good length evident, still to attain a ruff, very good britches, free of woolly undercoat.  Clean white.  A little tense, excellent condition, pleasing well developed lad (if looking a little on the moody side, like adolescents of all species no doubt).

Merit to  LOMBARD'S  IZAMBARD BEYA ELMAS.  13wb.  08-08-08.

Blue Eyed, extremely pretty attractive young girl, at just over 9 months.  Lovely face, good width to her wedge excellent muzzle, firm chin, excellent bite, gentle dip to profile (a little more perhaps, than almost imperceptible).  Excellent ears, large & carried tall, with good inner ear furnishings.  The eyes are large & good full wide oval shape, pale blue colour (with a gentle expression).  Body obviously still to mature more fully, but perfectly in keeping with her age, well proportioned legs & paws, good length tail with very good furnishing to her brush.  Excellent clean white coat, very good density, free of woolly undercoat, lovely soft fine texture & very good length.  Temperament & condition excellent for both, lovely expression soft shell pink ear interiors, pink lips & paw pads.  Would have been my BOB had it been applicable.

British Cream Adult, Male;

1st  CC & BOB.  HARDY'S  CH STONNALL MAGICAL TOY BOY.  06-10-07.

Very butch & masculine looking chap,  4 square & with excellent strong neck, but does not show to best advantage.  Large broad well rounded head shape, full cheeks, rounded brow, broad nose, good  depth chin, bite good.  His ears are medium size, perhaps a little wide at their base, but that said set well apart.  Eye colour better out than initially appeared the case, being a more obvious orange, I would have preferred them a little larger & he tends to scowl which takes the emphasis of the rounding.  Impressive strong neck, solid chunky body, strong medium length legs, large round paws, broad heavy tail of medium length.  His coat is crisp & relatively short, very dense texture.  Rather dark cream but relatively sound  & also clear, with some leg barring & tail rings.   His condition excellent, could look much improved if he was a little more relaxed & looked less like he wanted to be somewhere else.

2nd  HILLYARD'S  BESTOBRITZ  ROMEO.  16-04-06.

He has much the better colour cream than the winner but not his type or substance.  Head though initially looking well rounded requires a little more at the cheeks themselves the heavy jowls creating the illusion of fullness, broad muzzle, rounded brow line, chin requires a little more depth, some acne, bite a fraction over.  His ears a re a little too large for the head proportions & rather wide flared base.  Lovely eye colour of intense vibrant orange, large & well rounded shape.  He is slightly long in the body & ideally could be a little larger & more substantial, he it quite solid given his size, with proportionate legs & paws, well balanced tail.  The coat a little harsh as opposed to crisp, okay for length, good density.  His colour is quite a soft toned even cream which is beautifully free of markings & also reasonably sound with the exception of the hotter colour on his tail which also has quite heavy rings.  His condition  & temperament both excellent.

AC Asian Smoke or Burmilla Neuter, Male;

PC Not Awarded.  1st   ALP'S  ADATESH THOMAS O'MALLEY.  72 43bsq.  17-03-08.

BCR Chocolate Silver Shaded, this lad was looking rather adolescent considering he is now over a year & as a result a little unbalanced.  Head requires a little more width to balance its length, quite a good blunt effect to the muzzle, top requires a little more rounding, good break, good depth chin, bite good.  Ears are very large & flared at the base which he compounds further by bonneting forward.  Eyes are a very good larger size & with a well defined shape, gentle slanted top line, green in colour.  Body still quite lithe but not out of keeping with his age, slim legs & neat paws, well proportioned tail, a little short of shoulder.  His coat was on the longer side which was exacerbated due to fluffing it open, texture excellent.  Quite a warm mantle of chocolate shading over the body, with excellent clear silver undercoat, deeper colour chocolate on the mask indicating his Burmese Colour Restriction.  His physical condition was very good, not in the best of moods but he wasn’t difficult but obviously not in the mood.

Considered for & Awarded BOB.  DEW'S  GR PR LOHR JOLENE.  72 43nq.  22-07-06.

BCR Caramel Shaded, very mature substantial girl of impressive type & presence.  Head short wide wedge with the required blunt muzzle, nicely rounded top, well defined break, excellent bite.  Ears medium size, set well, wide base, rounded tips, very slight hint of forward tilt.  The eyes are large & with excellent defined shape, particularly obvious on the lower line, the top line less obviously so due to her scowl), green in colour, withering expression.  Very solid madam, of medium length with well proportioned legs & neat paws, her tail is of slightly shorter medium length & has a rounded tip.  Coat I would have preferred a little shorter & also closer but was generally well prepared with satiny finish.  Showing subtle facial markings with slightly denser skullcap, her shading is quite heavy & deepens on her shoulder area (where the fur is shortest) with some paling on her sides towards her tummy & inner legs, showing slightly more creaminess to the colour, some contrast to the marginally warmer undercoat, a little denser on the mask.  Her colour was a real taupe tone with impressive glazed effect more obvious over her head, shoulders, back, tail & heels.  Her condition excellent, grumpy attitude but not difficult.

Lilac Burmese Adult, Female;

Good class of females, the first  two in particular running each particularly close.

1st  CC & BOB.  WILSON'S  MAHARANI GENEVIEVE.  14-08-07.

This girl has a lovely face, excellent type.  Short wide wedge with excellent blunt effect to her muzzle, top rounds well in both directions, excellent break, good depth chin, level bite .  Ears are beautifully set, medium size, with wide base & rounded tips.  Eyes are large & a very good defined lower curved line, gentle slant from the top, chartreuse colour, the right eye slightly watery first thing, but I left the class till later & it was perfectly clear (I did consult with the DV), she has a lovely expression.  Beautiful firm well toned body of medium size, enlarged nipples indicating recent maternal duties, with good legs, neat paws, medium thickness to her tail, rounded tip, a little short of shoulder.  Lovely coat texture & density, sleek satiny finish, short & close lying.  Her coat colour has an attractive warmth with evidence of pink tones, slight darker marking in the coat on one shoulder & the back of the neck.  Her condition was excellent & she has a very gentle demeanour.

2nd  BONE'S  SYKRIS DEJA VEUX.  31-07-06.

Another lovely girl & calling for a degree of deliberation between the two, just not quite the degree of impact.  Again excellent type, the wedge typically short & wide, with blunted muzzle line, rounded top, very good break, short nose, chin & bite good.  Very well set ears of medium size, gentle hint of forward tilt, rounded on the tips.  Eyes large, pleasing well defined shape, edging to the limit of green chartreuse, lovely wicked expression. Lovely firm body tone, slim legs, neat paws, tail rather thin & a little short for balance.  Lovely coat, well prepared sleek finish, close lying & very good short length, satin like finish with glossy sheen.  Colour a very even shade of dove grey, just requiring a little more pinky tone ideally. Her condition was excellent, has a degree of attitude & a little bolshie but within acceptable limits.

3rd  MOORE'S  DULCAMARA PETRONELLA.  04-07-08.

A pleasing well balanced young lady, who has a good degree of maturity for her young age.  Short wide blunt wedge, rounded top, good break, chin good as was the bite.  Ears medium size, set well, wide base, touch of forward tilt with rounded tips.  Eyes well defined shape, large with chartreuse colour.  Body medium length, weighty & firm, slim legs, neat small paws, rounded tip to the medium length tail.  Coat could be marginally shorter but it was close lying & well prepared, with a very good satin like texture.  Colour a slightly darker even shade of lilac just deepening slightly on the mask.  Condition & temperament both excellent.

Also Considered for BOB.  MOORE'S  GR CH ANOKHI BOY GEORGE.  06-03-07.

This lad has matured enormously since I handled him last, now looking handsome & well finished.  His type is strong with short wide wedge, blunt effect to the muzzle, rounded top, his break well defined, perhaps the nose could be a little shorter, chin requires a little more strength, bite excellent.  Ears very well set, medium size, with well rounded tips, wide base & touch of forward tilt.  Well shaped large eyes, well defined lower curve, chartreuse in colour.  Muscular strong body, showing excellent weight, legs well proportioned, oval paws, tail of medium length & thickness, round tip.  His coat was beautifully prepared, could be a little shorter ideally but that aside was close lying & with a good sleek effect, satin like texture.  A most impressive soft dove grey overall, which was also even, glossy finish.  He has a superb gentle nature & his condition was excellent, well worthy of BOB in his own right.

AV SLH Champion or Grand Champion, Male;

1st  HAMILTON'S  CH ADATELO PURRBLUEBUBBLE.  66a.   02-04-08.

Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll, well grown & developed chap, of overall excellent type.  Face has the gentle expression that is so typical of the breed, broad at the cheeks, with well developed muzzle, good flat plane to the brow with gentle dip in profile with slightly retrousse effect to nose, excellent chin & bite.  Ears medium size, set well apart, well furnished interiors, correct slight forward tilt.  Eyes are large & well open, with slight obliqueness to the setting, excellent depth of blue.  Body is beautifully grown with good length,  strong well boned legs, large paws, well balanced & furnished full brush tail.  Coat has very good length & density, silky soft texture with a good degree of ruff evident, full knickerbockers, beautifully prepared.  Almost clear cool glacial coat, his points very dark shade of blue, but as a result well matched.  He has an extremely amicable nature & his condition was excellent.

2nd  HEALING'S  GR CH LANDSKER YMER.  67 31ts.  14-05-06.

Brown Tabby & White Norwegian Forest Cat, extremely masculine lad with excellent strength of head.  Very strong equilateral triangular wedge, slightly rounded brow with straight profile, could use a little more chin, bite a fraction over.  Ears large, good width at the base, set quite high, well furnished interiors & good tufted tips.  Eyes moderately large, pleasing full oval shape, gentle oblique setting, green in colour.  Powerful muscular body with good strong legs, well proportioned paws, full bushy tail which I would personally prefer a little longer.  His coat has the required thick double coat, with thick woolly undercoat, top coat has the coarser longer guard hairs to create the impression of being an all weather construction, the tummy required a little more presentation ideally, long whiskers & eyebrows, very good overall length, with good fullness to the ruff, full knickerbockers.  His tabby pattern is rather brindled but no points so not much point in the detail, clean white areas.   Very placid nature, calm & relaxed, excellent condition.

3rd  GARDINOR'S  GR CH PANJANDRUM FUEGO (INT CH & TICA QGRCH).  13c 5.

AV SLH Champion or Grand Champion, Female;

1st  HINES'S  CH STACYM QUINTESSENCE.  63.  27-04-06.

Usual Somali, quite a lovely girl of superb colour.  Excellent type, quite a short, gently rounded contoured wedge, with gentle indent to the gentle rounded muzzle, with characteristic 'Somali' smile, the brow has a gentle rounding with slight beak in profile, hint of taper to the chin, level bite.  Ears moderately large with well cupped base, pricked alert appearance, with well furnished interiors.  Eyes full wide almond shape with gentle upward slant, green in colour, excellent expression.  Body is well proportioned medium size, with slender limbs & small oval paws, the tail tapers gently & is a well proportioned medium length with excellent full brush effect.  Coat very good length, beautifully prepared with full ruff & breeches, excellent density, really beautiful soft fine texture.  Brick nose leather with dark line of black surrounding that & her eyes, paler spectacle area beneath, upward flash from the eyes onto the brow, her ticking & banding both excellent, deeper line of colour down her back which extends along her tail, back heels up the whole length of the hocks.  Her colour is quite beautiful being an intense bright apricot which is particularly evident to her under-coat, chest & tummy, even the chin & muzzle have a rich bright tone, the black ticking contrasted beautifully.  Her condition was superb, her presentation immaculate & her temperament a pure delight.

2nd  STANTON'S  CH RAGADICT MIAMORIO.  66 31. 02-10-07.

Seal Bi-Coloured Ragdoll, this girls eye colour never ceases to amaze me, it is quite simply stunning.  Still to achieve a little more in the maturity stakes but getting there.  Head has quite good width across the cheeks, well developed muzzle but with a slight pinch, good flat plane to the profile, gentle dip in profile with slight retrousse effect to the nose, good chin & bite.  Ears medium size & set well apart with touch of tilt forward well furnished interiors.  Eyes quite large when she opens them up, slightly oblique setting, intense vivid blue colour & such a gentle expression. Her body has good length but still to broaden & fully fill out, proportionate legs & tufted paws, good length & fairly well furnished bushy tail.  Coat has good length, silky texture, good density, some ruff coming through & well furnished knickerbockers.  Body has light warm beige areas well contrasted against the points with the remainder of her mask, ears & tail a good seal brown, well balanced symmetrical inverted white blaze, with the white extending through the chin, chest, under parts & legs.  Well prepared, excellent condition, wonderfully relaxed temperament, as always.

3rd  LEE'S  UK GR CH KLASSYKLOGS KALEMYOKOKO.  13c 1.  09-07-02.

Seal Pointed Birman, this girl has lovely type & would have merited a higher placing had she just been a little more amenable, her colouring & markings also excellent, but something a madam.

AV SLH Novice Neuter;

1st  BISHOP'S  CH TIGANLEA LADY FANTASIA.  67 31ets.   09-06-05.

Black Silver Tortie Tabby & White, looking very feminine the overall effect enhanced due to her colour & pattern elements.  Type well balanced, with even triangular wedge shaped head, the brow slightly rounded, profile not quite straight, her chin tapers back slightly, bite good.  Very good ear placement, the outside line following through the head to the chin & set tall with tufted tips & well furnished interiors, large in size.   Obliquely set wide oval shaped eyes, light golden amber tone.  Body has good length, well built, good bone to the legs with round paws, tufted between the toes, tail well balanced length & with good bushy effect.  Very good semi long coat characteristics, still with some woolly undercoat form the winter & smooth top coat with some coarser guard hairs along her lower back, well prepared, good knickerbockers & still having a good degree of ruff.  Though no points for pattern hers really is extremely pretty, quite high on her white (over 50%), abundant red indicating the tortie over the back in particular combined with the smaller black areas, all combined with Tabby & silver the effect is most attractive, her inverted white on her face is offset with black pigmented outline round her right eye.  Excellent condition, very shy preferring the safety of her pen (I would suggest a single pen may suit her better).

British/Selkirk Maiden Neuter;

Neuters with the temperament that these two displayed would be much better at home, as they obviously do not like the experience.

1st  Not Awarded.  2nd  NORRIS'S  JASUETER VODKA.  15c.  31-05-08.

Lilac, something of madam & with what I consider to be real colour problems. Type quite reasonable with rounded cheeks, rounded brow, medium nose, adequate chin, bite good.  Ears medium size, well placed.  Eyes round & open despite her scowls of rage, the colour showing just enough evidence of gold but requires depth.  Body not overly large but well proportioned & reasonable cobby, proportionate legs & paws, balanced tail.  Coat could be a little denser, good length, very soft texture lacking the required degree of crispness.  Colour was extremely dark showing no evidence of pink tones & virtually blue, very unsound & showing some bars also.  Condition was sound, her temperament left much to be desired.

No Award.  MARSON'S  GREENDALE PEPPERMINT ICE.  39.  04-04-07.

Black Tipped, this girl (I will defer from using the term lady, as it would be highly inappropriate in her case), has really stunning eyes & her type is also very good.  Head showing a reasonable degree of rounding & quite good fullness to her cheeks, rounded brow with small bump in her nose, chin requires a little more depth, bite good, keen to prove it & did.  Ears of medium size, tends to prick just a fraction high on occasion.  Gorgeous eyes, large & size emphasised by the black pigmented outline, intense vivid green with hint of aqua tone.  Body could be a little chunkier to balance the length, good legs & paws, tail good.  Her coat is typical of many Tipped in that it is a little long & soft, but that apart very good density.  Beautifully tipped with sharp contrast to the silver undercoat to create the sparkling effect, black paw pads, brick nose leather.  Excellent condition, she was extremely bad tempered (I don’t mind a degree of attitude as this enhances type but she meant to inflict damage & did, this is where I draw the line), appears to be very back sensitive!!

AV Foreign Breeders Adult; Part a;  Well contested in both parts.

1st  WOODLEY'S  GR CH HONPUS ZAITH.  72 43nq.  31-03-04.

BCR Caramel Shaded Asian, another girl with a penchant for moody bolshie attitude but today was sweetness & light (well by comparison anyway).  Super head oozes type, short & wide, with bluntness to the muzzle, excellent rounded top, excellent break, strong chin & level bite.  Ears medium size, wide base & rounded on the tips, very well set.  Gorgeous eyes the shape beautifully defined, large & good green tone, wonderfully wicked expression as she glares from beneath the brow, a little dry on the righty eye rim.  Well she is undeniably a little overweight but nonetheless beautifully firm & well toned, quite slim legs, oval paws, medium thickness to her tail a little short to balance due to her extended waistline, rounded tip.   Very close lying & short coat, excellent texture, satiny finish.  Lovely facial markings, with more intensity due to her BCR, the shading heavy but even, some contrast albeit minimum (due to the shortness of coat) to the undercoat paler on her sides, well coloured hocks.  Classic sludgy taupe with a hint of creaminess to the chest & tummy areas.  Her condition excellent, quite a pussycat today, a real quality exhibit of her breed.

2nd  NICHOLS'S  RAJIQUE ARCT ICEBLUE.  76b 30.  20-03-07.

Blue Eyed Snow Spotted Bengal, handsome lad of excellent type.  Broad rounded wedge, high cheeks, the muzzle strong with puffed pads, gentle rounded top, with slight break in profile & gentle dip to his nose,  strong chin, canines set wide apart, bite good.  Medium size to his ears which have rounded tips & are well set.  Eyes quite large almost round in shape, bright clear blue colour.  Body has good length & is strong & well proportioned, well boned legs of medium length, large rounded paws, tail medium thickness & proportionate length.  Super coat, beautifully soft, luxurious texture, dense & close, medium length.  Deeper colour to his facial markings, which are well defined, with spotted pads, cheek strips & ‘M’ all present on the brow, clearly defined leg bracelets, tail rings not so clear, the body spotting I would ideally have preferred to be more extremely contrasted but were present nonetheless, the body pattern of charcoal grey on pearlised ground colour, with a very attractive glistening sheen to it.  Excellent condition & temperament.

3rd  BOND-WONNEBERGER'S  FURBELL STARGAZER.  16a.  03-03-08.

Russian Blue, attractive young lady who to some degree lost out on maturity or more accurately lack of.  Head has quite a pleasing short wedge from the eyes down, good prominence to the whisker pads, flat brow with gentle concave curve in profile which gives the desired gentle angle in profile, fair chin, bite good.  Ears are beautifully set being tall & pricked, good larger side.  The eyes are a fraction deep set, very good almond shape with a very definite green tone.  Body lithe & elegant with good length, slim legs, oval paws, good length gently tapering tail to balance.  Showing good double coat qualities, with plush undercoat & soft fine top coat.  Her temperament & condition both excellent, promising.

3rd  CAUNTER'S  THICKTHORN MADRAS.  73b.   19-09-07.

Chocolate Ocicat, well grown girl with the lithe, athletic & wild appearance that to some degree epitomises the breed.  Her head is perhaps marginally long in relation to its width, modified wedge, slight curve for the muzzle into the cheeks, ideally her muzzle could possess a little more squareness, gentle rounding to her brow, very slight dip in profile, good chin & bite.  Ears are moderately large, wide at the base, angular setting, with tufted tips.  Large full almond shaped eyes with slight slant, green in colour.  Good neckline, body long & lithe, firm tone, medium length legs proportionate to the body, oval paws, moderately long tail with very gentle taper again in proportion to the body.  Short coat, satin like texture, very good close lying finish, very good sheen.  Well marked in the head tracings, good cheek ribbons, well defined ‘M’, some thumb prints on the ears, body pattern shows varied shape spots along the line of the body with a bulls eye formation more obvious on one side than the other, well traced leg bracelets, good tail rings, solid coloured tip & well coloured heels, beautifully spotted tummy.  Her chocolate has a pleasing degree of warmth & contrast well against the ground colour.  Excellent condition, very amicable lady.

X3rd  MACEY'S  CH FELCHELDEE GEORGIEGIRL.  74h.  02-02-04.

Chocolate Ocicat, huge lad & there was no denying that he was overweight & as a result he lost out to some degree on the graceful, lithe stakes, but type wise impressive.  Moderate modified wedge, being a little longer than wide, excellent prominence to his whisker pads to create the required squareness, gentle curve into the line of the cheeks, slight dip to the profile, good depth chin, level bite.  Ears moderately large & with tufted tips, the setting has very good 45% degree angle which is still evident in relaxed mode.  Eyes of good green colour, the shape full rounded almond, with gentle slant.  Body very well grown & yes he does need to trim down some as he is in danger of blurring out his type, the body should be solid but it also requires an athletic build, well proportioned legs & paws, tail broader at its base, tapering gently surprisingly well balanced length.  Really excellent coat qualities, short & close lying, lustrous sheen, satin like texture.  Very clearly marked facial tracings, ribbons & ‘M’, body spotting of different size along the body with smaller ones on the shoulders & flanks, reasonable bulls eye formation on the flanks, well marked leg bracelets & tail rings.  Lovely rich warm chocolate on warn ground giving well defined contrast between the two.  His condition excellent & he was such a relaxed & very agreeable chap.

2nd  HAMILTON'S  TALTREES THE PHAT HOBBIT.  84 19.  17-12-08.

Red Tabby Sphynx, very alert of excellent type, head has the correct modified wedge & rounded contours, with prominence to the cheeks giving a sculpted effect, good whisker break & puffed pads to the rounded muzzle, skull flat in front of the ears, slight stop in profile, actually quite a good chin, teething with swollen gums.  Ears very large, wide base, set at a slight angle, the tips rounded.  Lovely eyes, pleasing lemon shape & good larger size.  Elegant neckline, body is beautifully firm & muscular, broad chest, long legs with long finger like toes, thickly cushioned pads, excellent long fine tail.  Very fine down over the body with a little more on the muzzle extending up to the profile a little.  A promising youngster, whose temperament & condition were both excellent.

X2nd  GRETTON'S  THICKTHORN BACCHUS.  73.  02-12-08.

Tawny Ocicat, could well have won the class had he been less tetchy, he is beautifully grown & his type also impressive, though perhaps reading a little too much into the term ‘wild appearance’ which he both has & acts.  Modified wedge, slightly long as yet in relation to its width, ideally he requires a little more squareness to the muzzle but this flows well into the cheeks where they are gently curved, has slight dip at the bridge of his broad nose, strong chin, teething badly & this may have been why he was so grumbly as his gums were very inflamed with double canines on the top.  Ears are moderately large & alert in appearance, just a little higher than the required 45% angle to the setting.  Large eyes of full almond shape, dual hazel green tone.  Impressively grown body of very good length to create lithe athletic build, good legs, large paws (indicating much to grow into), tail with gentle taper & well balanced length.  Coat reasonably short, satiny texture, with subtle sheen.  Excellent facial markings, the body spotting is well defined along the length of the body, bulls eye formation just evident on the flanks, very good leg bracelets & tail rings.  The pattern well contrasted against the ground colour which could perhaps be a little warmer.  His condition was superb, pity he was not more agreeable, hopefully this will resolve itself in which case I have no doubt he will do extremely well.

3rd  GRETTON'S  THICKTHORN PINTO.  73 41.  02-12-08.

Handsome kitten & like his sibling above very well grown, very dramatic pattern which is elongated along the body but not what I consider to be ‘Classic’ his is a more marbled effect, it is beautifully contrasted & sharp.

AV Foreign Kitten, Female;

1st  GRAGG'S  MAGICAL MIZ TIGGYWINKLE.  33a  27sx.  08-11-08.

Brown Smoke Darker Points Devon Rex, well this little miss might still need to get her wave back, but type-wise loads of potential. Head on looks lovely with short wedge, high wide cheeks excellent whisker break, good muzzle, flat brow between the ears, the stop could be more definite, short nose, good chin, level bite.  Ears are large & whilst they could ideally be a little lower & wider at the base (which Devon doesn't), they are in the main very good & far better than most, small tufts on their tips & short muffs at their base.  Lovely eyes, the shape full wide oval with gentle slant, green with hint of blue tone, lovely quizzical, slightly naughty expression which is such a trait of Devon's.  Might well have a considerable amount of growth to achieve but she is beautifully weighty & firm for her size, with slim legs & ov1al paws, well balanced tail.  Her coat still very, very short albeit covered, the wave has yet to come in, a little more evidence on the legs & tail.  Typical darker points pattern albeit no evidence visible as yet to indicate Smoke.  Her temperament was delightful & her condition splendid.

2nd  ADRIAN-GROVES'S  AMAROGUE SAFARI.  84 31.  21-09-08.

Black Bi-Coloured Sphynx, very attractive miss with much to recommend.  Sculpted lines to her cheeks, with quite good breadth to the contoured muzzle, profile showing gentle break, reasonable chin, bite good.  Ears are large & have wide base, beautifully set, being pricked & alert.  Eyes large & the correct lemon shape, slight slant, good green tone.   Good neckline, lovely firm body with tucked line, slim legs, long finger like paws which were well padded, very long prehensile like tail. Very fine down to the body with more fur evident on the muzzle & a little heavier on the tail.   Very striking pattern combination of black & white, inverted white on the face with cute black nose leather, clean white areas, black paw pads.  Excellent condition & lovely confident temperament, ran the winner extremely close.

3rd  BERNARD'S  MIMAPERKS SOLITAIRE.  74e.

Report Only  Exotic Kitten;

BROWN'S  ACRESWAY GUCCI.  70 13b4.  23-08-08.

Lilac Colourpointed, suitably named & very impressive quality kitten, almost adult & showing a great degree of promise.  Lovely rounded head shape with the cheeks already well filled & rounded, broad muzzle, skull round, deep stop, short nose, good size & shape to the nose leather, strong deep chin, excellent level bite.  Ears though still a fraction open at the base are beautifully set (whilst I agree all exhibits should be judged on the day, in my opinion this should resolve itself as he matures more fully).  Eyes are impressively large & well open with fully rounded shape once he is fully alert which gives an excellent degree of boldness, the colour whilst pale was to is credit a clear shade of even blue, lovely alert expression.  Body is showing very good degree of muscularity & substance for his age, with strong well boned legs, proportionately short broad tail.  Coat possessed excellent density & stands well from the body, to be a little critical it could ideally be a little softer having a slight degree of harshness on the lower back in particular, but that aside it still managed a good liveliness to it overall.  Clear subtle magnolia body colour, excellent contrast to the points, which whilst a marginally darker shade of lilac were beautifully matched, very, very slight hint of ghost rings on the tail.  His condition was super & he has a wonderful degree of confidence.
