Congratulations to all on a splendid Show – a real buzz about the place again. My thanks for the invitation and also to my hard working Team managed splendidly by Pat Cook and ably assisted by Jane Muir-Taylor and Shirley Carter. FOREIGN WHITE, ORIENTAL BLACK/BLUE IMP OR GR CH MALE1 (UK GR CH w/h) BAUERFEIND’S IGC SHIMLEETA INDIANPRINCE (35) 4/6/05Rather rangy boy who needed more meat and muscle on him. Long wedge with pronounced pinch, ears large, could be more open to the base, bump over brow in profile chin rounds slightly but bite level, eyes bright good depth of colour, well set. Long body lacks weight and tone – his sternum rather evident as a result, stands tall on elegant legs, long tail. Good bright white coat – just some yellowing to hocks. Coat dry and slightly open. FOREIGN WHITE, ORIENTAL BLACK/BLUE IMP OR GR CH FEMALE1 UK GR + BOB MOSS’ IGC MIDAMYST IVEGOTYOUBABE (37) 30/4/04A rather tense lady who was of pleasing type, balance and style. Even wedge with super brilliant deep green oriental eyes, her ears could be a little larger and more ‘open’ to the base to fix the setting, straight profile and good chin – few missing teeth now. Lovely firm tone to her body – especially in view of her middle age years! balancing whip and fine legs. Short gloss jet-black coat, slight ‘rusting’ to flanks. A lovely lady who was a little overawed by the situation which was a shame but deserving of her certificate and, I understand, new title. ORIENTAL BLACK KITTEN FEMALE 2(1 and BOB w/h) LYON’S ADNIOSH DEVIL WOMAN 28/4/09A young lady who lacked oriental head type and was not 100% in presentation with a few war wounds (cleared by DV) Medium wedge with ears of good size but set close and held high, eyes slightly too full in shape of a good depth of green, rise to brow line in profile, good chin and bite. Long body but needing to be more ‘filled’ out at this age, tail needs 1” to balance, slender legs. Coat of good length but patchy and unsound, some bare areas on top of head. ORIENTAL BLUE KITTEN FEMALE1 (BOB w/h) TULL’S TIROLENA LAPISHLAZULI 26/4/09a young lady who was really enjoying her day and attention! Medium wedge with ears of good size but set close and held high and they need to be more open to the base, chin shallow and rounds off but bite ok, eyes slightly round – of a very good depth of green, long body with a nice firm feel to it, long balancing tail. Coat of excellent texture but very dark on back with ghost tabby scarab pattern evident on head. Lovely temperament and condition. ORIENTAL CINNAMON KITTEN MALE1 (BOB w/h) BUCKLEY’S WESTGARTH DI NIRO 8/3/09A very large rotund lad! Lovely strong even wedge, which was rather ‘lost’ by his extended girth! Large ears well set and complimenting the lines, straight profile with firm depth of chins and level bite. Oriental eyes of brilliant green. Body long but very overweight and therefore lacks oriental style, good whip – this thick to base also. Coat of lovely texture and length, warm ‘spicy’ tone, just a touch patchy on back. Great shame about his body, which completely unbalanced him generally. A good thing to have some weight for a young male to fall back on but this was gilding the lily rather! If he slims down he will shine. ORIENTAL RED KITTEN MALE1 & BOB DAWE’S BARBECCO OBI WAN 23/2/09This lad has the most beautiful head type – just my cup of tea – and a real boy! Broad strong and even wedge with huge flyaway ears, roman profile oriental eyes of a yellow/green tone needing a little more brilliance also, deep firm chin and level bite. Long neck and body of good development – firm feel to him, stands tall on slender legs - quite large paws – long whip tail. Rich red coat – some surface pattern that does not detract with short close gleaming coat. Really confident and calm person. ORIENTAL TORTOISESHELL KITTEN1 & BOB DAWE’S BARBECCO AMIDALA (37h) 23/2/09Very stylish miss, well grown and in top condtion. Medium even wedge with wide set flared ears, straight profile, small pinch, good chin and bite, length of neck she uses well, oriental eyes of pale green tone, long and elegant body with fine whip and legs, neat paws. Rich warm choc base intermingled with super bright red and pale red breaks, reasonably sound also which was pleasing, coat short and gleaming. ORIENTAL SPOTTED TABBY KITTEN FEMALE1 (BOB w/h) JENKIN’S KAOTICK BIGGLESWORTH (38) 27/4/09Neat little miss who rather lacked required oriental head type. Short wedge with ears of reasonable size but set close and held high, bump to back of head evident, eyes of good shape and super clarity of green, chin rounds off but bite level. Fine and dainty body with lengthy tail and fine legs and neat spoon paws. Dark brown warm pattern with a dark warm copper undercoat, spots linked to right, some agouti invasion to lower sides on both sides, spine line breaking, head marking well etched, very clear leg bracelets, tail 1/3 ringed with correct dark tip. Coat superb - fitted like a glove. ORIENTAL TICKED TABBY KITTEN FEMALE1 & BOB SIMPSON’S SUNJADE TICKLEDMYFANCY (45K) 7/5/09Quite exquisite – be still my beating heart! Beautifully balanced wedge with wide based large ears set following the lines perfectly. Oriental eyes of brilliant green, straight profile firm perpendicular chin line and level bite, long and elegant body with the best tail of the day! Quite large paws to fill! Warm spiced tone base colour, treble band ticking to her short gleaming coat, some white around muzzle area. Quite superb kitten – delighted to see her become BOV (In spite of some stiff competition) and then go on to Supreme Kitten. Very well done to all concerned. ORIENTAL SHADED KITTEN FEMALE1 and BOB PARKINSON’S SMAUG ESME (43hs) 11/6/09Choc tortie silver shaded lady of super pattern and well grown. Short even wedge with wide at base ears which were well set and following the lines, minimal pinch, straight profile, good chin and bite, oriental eyes of olive tone, lovely length of neck with firm body of good development, long fine whip, another with quite ‘sturdy’ boots to grow into! Super shading virtually on tip of hair tip with the silver pushed well up shaft. Broken leg bracelets with tortie diffused through and this as almost a ‘stippled’ effect on lower sides, her coat qualities superb. Promising miss. ORIENTAL LONGHAIR KITTEN FEMALE1 (BOB w/h) WHITE’S OCEANBREEZE AVIEL (62 15c) 24/5/09Rather lacking oriental head type but shown in first class condition. Short wedge with small ears set close and high. Good straight profile, chin rounds off but bite is level. Nice neckline and body of good length, sturdy legs and paws, tail a touch short. Super silky texture to coat – very well prepared, close to body, plume developing, good pinky dove grey tone evident. FOREIGN WHITE, ORIENTAL BLACK/BLUE IMP OR GR PR MALE1 + UK GR PR & BOB HALLIDAY’S GR PR TOGHAR MIDNITE MAJIK (37) 18/10/07Lengthy and elegant oriental black boy of very good type. Long wedge with quite a pronounced pinch, large ears wide based, could ideally have a tad more width between them, glorious vivid green eyes, excellent shape and set, firm chin and bite, long hard muscular body with an excellent whip tail. Short gleaming dense sound black coat – very impressive. Bit of a wriggler but his quality shone through. Congrats on his new title! ORIENTAL BLUE PREMIER MALE1 (GR PR & BOB w/h) ABBOTT’S PR CHENAZZ MRBLUESKY 12/4/09Chatty gent enjoying his day. Long wedge with a prounced pinch, ears need to be a little larger and more open to the base to fix the setting and balance length of wedge, eyes of a good shape and set and a very good depth of green, quite a pronounced pinch to back of skull, lacks chin and bite is fractionally over. Long and well-nourished body, whiptail and elegant legs. Coat of good texture and length, dark to spine and unsound on sides. Lovely temperament – a very alert lad. ORIENTAL BLUE PRE-PREMIER MALE1 (PC & BOB w/h) HATCHETT’S TIROLENA MAGIC JASPER 13/4/09Well grown lad enjoying himself, very relaxed and easy to handle. Long wedge with pronounced pinch, ears large but set close – needing to open at base to ‘set’ the line, eyes fractionally straight in set – of an olive tone, chin rounds away and bite just over – lovely goatee beard! Long well nourished body, stands tall, whip tail that needs another inch or two. Dark blue coat – few scattered white hairs over should area – lovely texture.
