NATIONAL CAT CLUB 29 NOVEMBER 2008 – BRENDA PEARCE

My thanks to Carol and Ron Pike for the invitation to judge – I hope your new venue proved to be a success – it certainly appeared to be very well attended, and was very busy with lots of visitors in the afternoon.

SEAL POINT SIAMESE NEUTER MALE.

Judged for BOB and awarded, JANICKI’S IMP GR PR SHERMESE VERY VERSACE. 27.8.05.

A very tall and elegant boy of excellent type who looked extremely handsome relaxing in his pristine pen. Lovely strength to his long wedge head with excellent width on top to balance the length. His ears large, wide at the base, beautifully set and flared. Tiny age related bump at the back of his head now I noted. Straight profile with a deep firm chin. He does have some teeth missing now, but the bite was even enough. Very good oriental eye shape and set, lovely depth of colour. He has the most gentle and confident expression. Very long and strong well nourished body, very muscular and well toned withy a strong well defined neckline. Stands beautifully on long strong legs. His tail a good whip but not quite long enough for perfect balance – very tiny knobble at the tip. Dense warm seal brown points all well matched. Body, although fairly heavily shaded, was warm in tone and showed acceptable contrast to his points. Coat of superb texture, beautifully prepared, short and close lying. Delightful temperament – beautifully presented. SEAL

POINT SIAMESE NEUTER FEMALE.

PC, MEEK’S PR SHERMESE CHINA DOLL. 8.6.07.

A very attractive girl, lovely type – very aptly named, so dainty and feminine. Lovely evenly balanced wedge head, her ears large wide based and set to follow the lines of her wedge - perfect triangle, looked super head on. Profile somewhat uneven however with a small dip and bump. Chin firm and lines up – excellent clean level bite. Very good oriental eye shape, vivid in colour – lovely expression. Good length firm body, well nourished, excellent muscle tone. Graceful neckline. Long slim legs with dainty spoon feet. Long tapered tail in balance. Dense warm seal brown points all well matched. Body shows light shading only, and therefore excellent contrast to her points, but I thought on this occasion that it looked just a touch cold (hall lighting perhaps). Coat very short and close lying, very well prepared, of very good texture. Sweet temperament - excellent presentation.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER MALE.

PC & BOB, TATSCHNER’S PR CHAIROSS PRINCE RUPERT. 22.2.05.

A big tall boy of good overall type with the most superb gentle temperament. Long wedge head just needing a touch more width on top to perfectly balance the length. His ears large with good width to the base but need just a little more flare. Tiny dip to profile, firm chin, acceptable bite. Small muzzle pinch evident. Clear bright blue eyes, a touch deep and straight set. Lovely feel to his long well muscled body. Well defined elegant neckline. Stands up tall and proud on long strong legs with quite large oval paws. Good length tapered tail to balance. Warm mid chocolate points showing a little brindling in places. His legs a touch paler as one would expect. Un-shaded warm ivory body giving excellent contrast to his points. Coat slightly long and a touch harsh in texture, but lies close. Excellent presentation – a dear boy.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE NEUTER FEMALE.

PC, MCALPINE’S LYNNOX FRANSCESCA. 17.6.05.

A well balanced lady of good overall type, but madam was not particularly happy today. Good strength and even lines to her mid length wedge head. Large ears, wide at the base and very well set. Good profile, her chin firm and the bite level, but I did note that her gums were rather sore which could have attributed to her mood. Clear bright blue eyes of good oriental shape and set. Good length firm and well toned body with dainty legs and feet. Whip tail in balance. Points well matched on her ears, mask and tail, fairly dark in tone but do show some warmth. As expected her legs a little paler. Body virtually clear of any shading, warm ivory in tone and showing excellent contrast to her points. Coat of very good texture and close lying – very well prepared. Excellent presentation.

AC ORIENTAL NOVICE KITTEN.

1 DAVIDGE-EVANS’S BURNTHWAITES BOBBY DAZZLER. M (35) 19.5.08.

Foreign White. Handsome and of very good type, well covered and of good weight but I thought he was just a little small and dainty at present for a male kitten of 6 months. Long balanced wedge head, his ears large, wide at the base and very well set. Good profile, chin and bite. Bright blue eyes of very good oriental shape and set – nicely expressive. Well muscled long body with long slim legs and a good whip tail. Pure white close lying coat of excellent texture.

2 BENNETT’S TIJANMEEK APRILFOOL. F (29c) 1.4.08.

Oriental Lilac. A kitten of good overall type and balance, well covered and of good weight but she is much too small at the moment for age 7 months. Shorter but even wedge head with large ears which were held correctly when relaxed. Good profile, chin and bite. Very pale yellowish/green eyes of quite good shape and set but held rather full. Body legs and tail all in balance for her size. Coat short and close lying, almost sound but dark and a touch cold in tone.

3 CHILTON’S MORALYN ROSEMARY. F (37a) 12.6.08.

Oriental Blue.

AC ORIENTAL ARISTOCRAT NEUTER. 1 WARMBATH’S MORALYN MEPHISTO. MN (37) 31.8.03.

Oriental Black. Big, strong, handsome lad of very good type. Lovely strength and balance to his head. Large ears, wide open at the base and very well set. Tiny age related bump at the back I noted. Very good strength of profile with a firm chin. Bite acceptable. Dark green eyes, very good oriental shape and set – lovely expression. Well fed rather heavy body, strong and masculine. Long strong legs. Tail a little short for balance – wee pip on the end. Superb short, close and sleek black coat – perfectly sound.

2 BARROWMAN’S OOPSEEIDEE DEVILS ADVOCAT. MN (37) 23.6.07.

Oriental Black. Huge tall youngster of good overall type. Long wedge head could do with a touch more width on top for better balance. Large ears well set. Quite a ridge at the back of his head which I hope will not get any worse. Very good straight profile, firm chin, clean level bite. Good oriental shape and set to his pale green eyes – gently expressive. Very long body which is exceptionally well nourished and does detract a little from his overall elegance. Long tall legs. Good length whip tail. Super sleek jet black coat – excellent texture, close and perfectly sound.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE ARISTOCRAT ADULT.

1 DUNCAN’S BRYTHAIS SOPHIE. F (24b) 7.6.04.

Chocolate Point Siamese. A dainty female of fair type, not showing well due to extreme shyness. Short pinched wedge head. Her ears of average size held a touch high. Very good profile, chin and bite. Mid bright blue eyes held full. Well balanced body, legs and tail of medium proportions. Warm mid chocolate points which are rather brindled and patchy at the moment. Warm ivory body showing a little light tonal shading. Coat slightly long but of good texture and close lying.

1 STUDER’S MAFDET LINDYLOU. F (32/2) 8.1.08.

Long strong wedge head with excellent top and large widely flared ears. Very good strong profile, firm chin, level bite. Gorgeous eyes - wonderful expression. Very elegant and stylish body lines developed in line with her age. Lovely soft mid blue tabby markings all well defined – super tail rings. Glacial body show minimal tonal shading, her coat very short and close – superb texture.

2 CHILTON’S MORALYN MYSONJOHN. M (24b) 4.3.07.

Chocolate Point Siamese. Very strong and masculine lad of good overall type – every inch a male!! Strong broad wedge head. His ears large wide based and well set. Good profile, chin needs more depth, bite ok. Good oriental shape and set to his dark blue eyes. Long heavy body, very hard and muscular. Strong legs, balancing tail. Points well matched on his ears, mask and tail – dark in tone but do show some warmth. Ivory body shows shading but contrast remains good. Excellent texture to his close lying coat.

Lovely strong profile, chin and bite both good. Very expressive dark blue eyes – very good oriental shape and set.. Body well muscled, not yet the hard masculine feel of a mature full male, because of course he isn’t yet. Legs and tail in balance. Little fault about ½” from the tip. Dense warm seal brown points. Body shows some light tonal shading – contrast very good. Excellent coat texture. A bit of a grump today for some reason known only to himself!
