Mr Mark J PearmanNational Cat Club Show29th November 2008Thank you very much to the show managers Carol and Ron Pike for my invite, this was my first time judging at this prestigious show and it was good to see the high level of support and lovely atmosphere on the day. Mrs Sandi Brown Percival stewarded for me, handling the cats with care and expertise, I enjoyed our day together and look forward to the next time. SEAL COLOURPOINT ADULT MALE1st CC BOB Hammett & Cooke's Marandkatz Dandy Lyon (13b1) (M) 8.02.08Just over nine month old lad of good size and weight, cobby body on short sturdy legs, broad rounded head with neat ears well furnished and placed, round eyes of a pale blue colour, snub nose, bite slightly undershot, apple cheeks and firm chin, head well balanced, full coat well prepared, soft and free flowing. The body colour was of a creamy white with surface shading to the shoulders and rump, there were two small areas of shading to the tummy, good full mask to the face, with rich seal colour to the centre paling slightly in colour to the extremities, nice seal colour to the ears with a slightly paler seal to the legs and tail, short full tail, slightly brindled, balanced the body. Lovely temperament. The coat was quite plush and stood well from the body, the white areas were to the cheeks, bib, tummy and legs, the coloured areas at present show very uneven red shading, I would like to see more of the pale undercoat and little less colour, some of the coloured areas went down to the roots, also there were tabby markings to the forehead, flanks and coloured areas to legs which I would like to see fade some more, the face and tail also displayed red shading, the red was of a good colour, lets hope with the coat development the red shading may improve and even out, short thick tail balanced the body.
