A great surprise and honour to be invited to The National to judge, my sincere thanks to Carol and Ron for the invitation and the warm hospitality, it was good to see that the show had picked up on it’s numbers once again I wish them well. My steward was Graham Haggar who kept me well entertained all day having stepped in to steward quite late in proceedings for which I was most grateful, thank you Graham maybe we can do this again on another occasion.
AC ORIENTAL PREMIER MALE
A big class of quality neuters there was only one who didn’t want to play ball which was a great pity.
GR PR HUTCHINGS CH & PR WILLHAVETODO HURRYUPHARRY 37a MN 4/8/07 very handsome and stylish young blue boy with excellent head and huge wide based ears, deep green oriental eyes and strong profile good depth of chin and even clean bite. Elegant neck lines and long svelte body with really short close lying coat in lovely condition and sound to the roots if slightly darker shade of blue. Slender long legs and neat oval paws with wonderful length of whip like tail to balance, a real darling to handle well presented.
RES GR PR LOWELL’S PR SUSPRIA WILLIAM BECKFORD 37k MN 21/4/07 big gentle giant cinnamon boy with such a wonderful laid back temperament, broad head of medium length and large well placed flared ears. Oriental set bright green eyes and straight profile with good chin and level bite. Big strong muscular body and short close cinnamon coat that is sound to the roots, long les and neat paws with good length of tail to balance. His temperament won me over but I would just say that he needs to watch his diet or he could get too big which would detract from the overall elegance.

GR PR HUTCHINGS PR WILLHAVETODO IMJUSTDEVINE 43e FN 4/8/07 rather shy but quite pretty standard tortie shaded girl with lovely head and large wide based ears and wonderful deep green oriental eyes, straight profile with good depth of chin and even bite. Lovely length of slender muscular body with short close coat in excellent condition, standard brown shaded pattern with nicely mingled red of tortie. Long legs with neat oval paws and lovely long whip tail to balance, sweet natured though quite reluctant to come out at first, nice presentation.

1 CC & BOB HATCHETT’S NUTROSTAR HONEYSUCKLEROSE 43e F 19/9/07pretty young queen with lovely strength of head and large well placed flared ears, pale green oriental eyes and straight profile with level chin and bite. Long slender body of good weight and substance, short close well mingled tortie coat with lots of red, slender legs and dainty little paws with lovely long whippy tail to balance.

1 PC & BOB CLEMENTS PR LUNATORE SILVERMINSTREL 43bs MN 18/8/07 handsome chocolate silver shaded boy with good masculine head and large well placed ears with thumb prints, straight profile with firm chin and level bite and oriental set bright green eyes. Long svelte body with really short close coat with approximately two thirds silver base and chocolate shading in lovely condition. Lender legs with bracelets there is a little tarnishing to his neat paws, lovely length of whip like tail, nicely presented, slightly shy.

1 WALTER’S NUTROSTAR APRIL MOON 37e F 30/4/08 very pretty and stylish young lady with excellent head and huge wide based ears, lovely strength of profile with good chin, level bite and oriental set green eyes. Slender long body, well grown for her age and short close lying black and red tortie coat that is sound to the roots, long legs and dainty little oval paws and a long stringy tail to balance. A very promising young queen who was later my choice for best oriental kitten.
2 COCKCROFT’S SOLARUS NORAN CHAO-FAH 29 M 8/6/08 NICE YOUNG Havana boy with a super temperament, nice even wedge that is quite masculine for his age, large flared ears and straight profile with good chin and bite and wonderful bright green oriental eyes. Long body of good size and rich chestnut coat that has warmth if a fraction dark and is sound to the roots. Slender long legs and neat paws and long whippy tail, a darling young man who craved attention.

1 ELLIS’ GR PR MYLYNN MOONSHADOW 62 20 MN 9/12/06 lovely big brown tabby oriental longhair boy with excellent head and huge fully furnished ears of good set and showing clear thumb prints, wonderful strength of profile with firm chin and level bite. Oriental set lovely green eyes with single ribbons, M to brow and whisker spots and sporting lovely long whiskers, two broken necklaces. Long firm svelte body with good length of flowing coat that lies well against his form, solid spine line and mackerel tabby stripes to his flanks on quite a nice warm bronze ground with good penetration of brown colour within the pattern. Long legs with sturdy broad tufted feet with good leg barring, lovely length of fully plumed tail with rings clearly visible, a sweet natured boy well presented.

X2 BARROWMAN’S OOPSEEIDEE DEVILS ADVOCAT 37 MN 23/6/07 big handsome black boy with good strength of head and large well placed flared ears, though he has a slightly strange bump on the back of his head. Lovely deep green oriental eyes with a wicked expression, straight profile, good chin and level bite. Long strong muscular body with absolutely sound short black coat with a wonderful shine and not a single white hair to be found, slender long legs with neat oval paws and lovely length of whip like tail to balance, excellent temperament and condition.

1 MACKECHNIE’S MORALYN RED ROBIN 32a M 4/3/07 quite nice red point boy with head of fairly good balance and large wide based ears of good set, lovely bright clear blue oriental eyes and straight profile, I would have liked a slightly deeper chin but the bite is good, well developed rich red mask and ear colour. Long svelte body of good weight and muscle tone, short close lying off white coat with some tonal red shading along the spine line. Slender long legs with neat oval paws and well matched red stockings with lovely long whippy tail, he has an excellent temperament and nicely presented.
2 CRUMPLER’S SARNAJES CHERRY BLOSSOM 24b F 3/2/08 pretty if rather shy young chocolate point queen with nicely balanced even wedge and large wide based ears that are well set. Excellent deep blue oriental eyes and straight profile with good chin and level bite and well developed chocolate mask that is perhaps a shade dark but there is warmth and depth to the colour. Slender long body with clear short ivory coat of lovely texture, slender legs and neat paws with well matched chocolate stockings, good length of chocolate whip tail, gentle girl well presented.
3 CHILTON’S MORALYN MYSONJOHN 24b M 4/3/07 litter brother to the red point I see, quite a short slightly blunt wedge with large ears of reasonable set, nice deep blue oriental eyes and slight dip and bump on nose in profile, deep broad chin and level bite, His mask is complete but I felt quite a cold toned dark chocolate. Long body and not quite the hard muscle tone that you would expect at this age, almost clear ivory coat but slightly longer than desired with quite soft woolly texture. Slender legs with neat paws and well matched chocolate stockings and good length of tail all in the same darker shade of chocolate. He is a lovely natured boy who was desperate to be loved and to please, nicely presented.
