The National Cat Club Show
29th November, 2008

Mrs Lesley Miles

Many thanks to Carol and her team for my invite this year. Seemed rather sad not to be at Olympia, but Bracknell is far easier to get to, and free parking. The british shorthairs were in a really nice hall with bright lights. My grateful thanks, also, to Brenda Hollandt who very kindly came specially to steward for me. We had a very good day with some super cats and kittens.

Imperial Class – AC British Grand Premier Neuter – Male

1 Imp Gr Ch – Graham’s Gr Pr Trubrit Black Prince (15)

Lovely boy of excellent type. He had a neat well rounded head with balanced cheeks, well set tiny ears, round eyes of excellent orange colour, short broad nose, level bite and a firm chin. Heavy compact body with matching sturdy legs and rounded paws. Tail of medium length, thick at base with a rounded tip. His coat is jet black, but very slightly unsound today, and extremely dense in texture. Well deserved win.

Reserve – Gammell’s Gr Pr Welqust Mr Fezziwig (14a)

Very nice boy of good type, he has a good round headshape, with well set ears. Little rounded cheeks, round eyes of good orange colour, short broad nose with a slight break, bite untidy, but firm chin. Body in proportion with good legs and rounded paws. Tail a tad short for balance. He has a sparkling white coat, very well prepared, dense in texture but a tad long along his spineline.

White (Blue-Eyed or Odd-Eyed ) Adult

1.c. & bob – Harrison’s Teknocat Odessa (14b)

Lovely to see an odd eyed white girl. Young lady who although of good weight, needs to fill out. Neat round headshape, ears well set but large at present. Well rounded eyes of good blue and orange. Nose of medium length, level bite and firm chin. Matching legs and paws. Tail in proportion to her body. Coat of good clear white, fairly short but could be denser in texture.

Cream Adult – Male

1 c.c. Warnes Petticote Supernova

Lovely boy with a true british headshape, well rounded with good width between neat tiny ears, chubby cheeks, excellent round eyes of orange colour, short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Heavy cobby body with thickset legs and rounded paws. Tail of correct length, thick at base with a rounded tip. His cream colour is a tad hot in the light of the hall, but short and very dense, slightly unsound today. Very nice boy for type but I would like his cream colouring paler.

2nd – Frost’s ~Crazipuss Sweetwillium

Another very nice boy with a good round head, well set ears, lovely open expression, balanced cheeks, round eyes of good deep orange. Compact cobby body with good legs and rounded paws. Tail in proportion but showing ghost rings. Coat of good cream but showing a lot of ghost spotting, short in length and dense, but very unsound, he looked more like a cream smoke cat today.

Cream Adult – Female

Bob – Chances Ch Charmoden Simplylacy

Black Silver Spotted Adult

Bob – Coulthurst’s Ch Essylt Cameo-Celeste

Tipped Adult – Female

1c.c. & bob – Clerkin’s Ch Silvercloud Morning Star

Super mature girl of excellent type. She has an exquisite face with eyes like saucers! These eyes are of a superb green colour sporting clear liner. Short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Good weight to a body of good depth, standing on short little legs and rounded paws. Tail in proportion, thick at base with a rounded tip. Excellent even tipping on a clear silver contrast. Coat short, dense and crisp to touch.

2nd – Defoe’s Advish Sashaburlea

Slightly older girl than the winner. Again, another very attractive young lady, neat round head, well set ears but a little flared at base. Excellent green eyes with liner. Short broad nose, level bite but her chin is shallow. Body of good weight with good legs and rounded paws. Tail in proportion with rounded tip. Very even tipping on an excellent short dense coat. Sorry she had to meet the winner today as she was also very worthy of a c.c.

Black Silver Tabby Kitten – Male

1st & bob – Nash’s Ronaldo Silver Pepe

Very well grown young man for just over 8 months of age. Headshape filling out well, little rounded cheeks, ears a tad large for balance at present, but I’m sure he will grow into them. Round eyes of hazel colour, short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Good weight to body with matching legs and paws. Tail of correct length sporting clear rings. Excellent jet black tabby pattern, good butterfly, spinelines are clear and well defined. Super matching oysters with bullseyes on both sides. Good silver contrast on a short coat.

Black Silver Tabby Kitten – Female

1st – Williams’ Crowvalley Pawthea

Pretty little girl of good weight for her age of just over 6 months. She had a neat round head, well set ears but a tad large at present. Good round eyes with green developing from the centres. Little balanced cheeks, short broad nose showing some fawning, level bite and firm chin. She has a good clear pattern, but her black colouring is a little on the pale side. Oysters match, good spinelines and butterfly. Tail showing clear rings. Lovely coat for length and dense in texture.

AOC Spotted Kitten – Male

1st & bob – Chance’s Charmoden Simplytucker (30a)

Stunning little boy, very well grown for his age of 4 months, a real butterball. Nicely rounded head with neat tiny ears. He has a lovely open expression, with little chubby cheeks, excellent round eyes of deep gold, short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Cobby body of good weight with short thickset legs and rounded paws. Tail of correct length with a rounded tip showing clear rings. Excellent pale blue spotting with a good mushroom contrast on his chest, legs and paws, but he has a much ‘colder’ contrast on his sides and spine, hopefully the warm contrast that he has on his chest will develop as he gets older. Super short thick dense coat. Very promising young man.

AOC Spotted Kitten – Female

1st _ Nash’s Busykitz Eva (30g)

Well grown young lady for her age with a nicely rounded head, ears a tad large for balance at present. Lovely round eyes of deepest gold, short broad nose, level bite and firm chin. Good compact body with matching legs and rounded paws. Tail thick at base showing rings. Clear spotting of blue and cream showing through her coat with just some barring on her shoulders and flanks. Coat short in length but could be denser.

Well grown young man for his age of nearly 7 months. Headshape developing, well set ears, little cheeks, round deep gold coloured eyes, short broad nose, level bite and firm chin.
