Judge: Perri HutchisonI would like to thank Carol & the Committee for the kind invitation to judge at the National. Wow the National is back with a Bang! What hard work Carol and the Committee put into making this first show at Bracknell a huge success. The entry was good, the rosettes were amazing and the atmosphere was superb. Us judges were even treated to a fabulous hot Christmas dinner which was fantastic. Well done to everyone involved – long may it continue! Many thanks to my friend Sarah Sellman who stewarded for me with her usual confidence and competence. Was good to see that your back was better Sarah, and I look forward to the next time.

CC W/held MACOY’S CH MACOYS NEW YEARS EVE 27d (30.12.04)Immature looking boy of nearly 4 years old. Gently rounded top of head. Large ears well set with correct forward tilt. Medium wedge, small muzzle pinch and a little fine in the muzzle. Eyes are well set, but are a little small in shape, chartreuse in colour. His left eye was sore and red ? rubbed it on his carrier. This was checked by the duty vet. In profile flat brow, fair nose break, nose rolls off at tip. Firm chin, untidy bite. Acne on his chin. Long rangy boy lacking muscle tone and substance. Slender legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat nice even tangerine, a little open in the cold hall, but good texture. Sweet natured cuddly teddy bear, who just wanted to be loved! Well presented.

Short wide wedge and nice blunt muzzle. Super expressive eyes set well apart, of good shape and size, yellow in colour. Flat brow. Excellent nose break. Straight nose. Slightly receding chin, level bite. Huge girl with large waistline! Dainty legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Super even rich tangerine. Coat close and short and good shine. A little nervous but handled well. Sweet lass with superb long whiskers! Well presented.

Muscular lass of excellent weight. Slim legs and oval paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Super short and close lying coat with fabulous shine exuding health. Pretty brown tortie, sweet lass with super temperament. Well presented.

Eyes are set well apart, acceptable shape and size, though would prefer them slightly more open and larger for perfection. Chartreuse in colour. Flat brow, good nose break, straight nose firm chin, level gums. Muscular lass of good weight. Slender legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, balances. Coat is short and close lying, good texture and shine. Attractive brown tortie and markings with super cuddly temperament. Well presented.

Expressive eyes set well apart, of good shape and size, chartreuse in colour. Flat brow. Excellent nose break, straight nose, firm chin, level bite. Muscular girl of good weight. Slender legs and spoon shaped paws. Tail of good shape, paintbrush tip, short to balance. Coat short and close, good texture and shine. Attractive choc tortie markings. Sweet lass rather unsettled by her blue tortie companion next door, who was a foul tempered baggage, and her language and temperament lost her the BOB!

1 STEELE’S GR CH POSITIVELY FANNY HILL 31d F (13.7.3)Red and white bicolour British Shorthair. Super type girl with a fab temperament to match! Nice round head with good width in between small ears which are rounded at the tips. Large, round and open eyes, set wide apart, deep orange in colour. Nice full cheeks, rounded forehead. Short broad straight nose with nice break. Firm chin, level bite. Cobby body of good weight, short level back, low on legs and deep chest. Short strong legs and rounded paws. Tail is thick at the base with nice rounded tip. Super coat texture, short, dense and crisp. Clear well defined patches of deep rich red with correct one third white, which was pristine. Fabulous temperament. Confident girl – sat and admired from the trolley – an absolute joy to judge! Well presented.
2 MARSLAND-ROUND’S CATBALU INDIANA 79s 31d M (26.6.4)Red and white shorthair Selkirk rex. Another chap with super presence, purring and temperament! What a joy to judge! Medium size ears, broad at the base, well set on his broad head. Head is round, broad and full cheeked, set on a strong short thick neck. Muzzle has nice well padded whisker pads, giving correct rectangular impression, and clearly visible in profile. Eyes are large, open, round and set well apart, copper in colour. Rounded forehead, short broad, straight nose and clear break. Firm chin, level bite. Muscular cobby body with broadness across shoulders and rump. Stands beautifully. Large well boned legs and round paws. Tail is thick at the base, medium length and rounded tip. His coat was uniform, thick and dense, and stands out well from his body. Super plush curls. Purring happy chap. Well presented.

Tail is thick at the base, tapering, balances. Coat is short and fine, close lying. Evenly and distinctly ticked, with correct four bands of colour. Nice ruddy orange base hair and rich golden brown ticked with black markings. Sweet lass. Well presented.

Eyes are large and oval slanting towards the base of the ear, pale yellow in colour, nice wild expression. Gentle curve to forehead to bridge of nose. Large broad nose, full broad muzzle, firm chin, level bite. Muscular chap of good weight. Strong muscular legs and rounded paws. Tail of medium length, thick and even, rounded tip, balances, pip at end. Clear rosette shaped spots with a little agouti invasion. Nice rufus and dusting. Super temperament. Well presented.

Medium size ears, broad at base, set well back on the head with good width in between. Eyes are almond in shape, large, set straight in the head, slight upward slant to lower lid, amber in colour, with nice “worried look”. Gentle contour to forehead and nose. Firm chin, level bite. Long and muscular body of good weight. Elegant legs and dainty paws. Tail tapering, thick at base, balances. Nice random spotting, distinct and with good contrast. Barring on legs. Super M on head and frown marks and clear mascara. Gentle lass. Well presented.

Broad medium wedge with slight muzzle pinch. Eyes are oval in shape, well set, amber in colour. Gentle curve from forehead to nose and the nose is large and broad. Firm chin, level bite. Rangy body of good weight. Strong muscular legs, rounded paws. Tail long, tapering, balances, pip at end. Coat is short and close and very dense. Nice clear rosettes, randomly distributed. Purring happy fella. Well presented.

Muscular legs and rounded paws. Tail is thick, medium length, rounded tip, balances. Coat is short, dense and has a good feel. Good ivory ground colour and light brown markings. Clear marbled pattern with distinct swirls. Nice spotty tummy. Sweet chap. Well presented.
