Many thanks to Alice Fox for the invitation to this prestigious show and to the many helpers she brought with her, especially Derek Atkinson and his team who worked all day in the kitchen. The entry was good, especially as we conflicted with a very popular show the previous week. I had some lovely cats to judge and an excellent steward in Jenny Sheldon who handled the exhibits beautifully.
IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER MALE:
IMP.GR.PR.MUIR-TAYLOR’S SUP.UK.IMP.GR.PR. TIANLEX FULL MONTY(32c) 14.3.03 What a title and what a cat! Still looking good and in a class of his own. Super growth and type with a long straight head and beautifully placed large ears. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Wonderful eye set of oriental shape and deep blue colour. Regal head carriage and well defined neckline with a long muscular body of excellent type, a trifle heavy now, with slender legs and long tail. Slightly hot cream points and coat of exquisite quality with slight shading.
RES.IMP.GR.PR.SIMPSON’S GR.PR.SHERMESE TOO TOO PATOU(24a) 4.4.07 The young pretender snapping at the heels of the old king and getting uncomfortably close. Much finer type than the winner and of excellent quality. Breathtaking top of head and beautifully placed ears. A profile to die for with level bite and good chin. Excellent oriental eye shape with perfect setting and deep blue colour. Elegant head carriage and long, svelte body of excellent type with fine legs, small feet and long whip tail. Points of very good blue and a coat of exquisite quality showing some toning shading. Not many decisions of this calibre to be made in a days judging. Congratulations on becoming best neuter.
BLUE POINT ADULT FEMALE:
1.CC.BOB.PRYOR-COLLINS’ TIGERMOON MARNIE 8.1.08 Dainty, fine boned queen with a medium length straight wedge and excellent top of head with large well placed ears. Straight profile, small pinch to muzzle, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Delicate neckline, long firm body, fine legs and whip tail. Good blue points and a short close lying coat with slight toning shading on the back.
2.STEPHEN & JOHNSON’S MAGICTRIX KAZEK ALLTHATJAZ 25.9.06 Straight balanced wedge with ears which could be larger for balance. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which could be deeper. Well defined neckline and good type overall with a firm body, slender legs and a tail which could do with an extra inch and is slightly thick at the root. Very good blue points colour and a coat of excellent texture just a fraction long.
TABBY POINT MALE KITTEN (up to 6 months):
1.BOX.ESTERFORD-HOWARD’S MAPU KOFI(32/1) 27.5.08 Stylish kitten of good growth. Balanced wedge with good top of head and large, well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin, Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which could be deeper. Good head carriage and well nourished body of good length with dainty legs and long, well ringed tail. Clear tabby markings showing M on brow, thumb prints single ribbons and leg bars and bracelets. Clear coat of excellent length and texture.
TABBY POINT FEMALE KITTEN(up to 6 months):
1.BOB.SIMPSON’S SHERMESE YESTERDAYS DREAMS(32/1) 16.5.08 Excellent top of head and large, well placed ears. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with excellent deep blue colour. Elegant neckline and stylish type overall with long, svelte body, dainty legs and well ringed whip tail. Well defined markings showing thumb prints, M on brow, single ribbons and fainter leg bars and bracelets. Clear close lying coat of excellent length.
2.PERKINS’ADATEAM INDIAN TONIC(32t1) 7.6.08 Medium length wedge with good top of head and large well placed ears. Almost straight profile, small pinch to muzzle, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which could be deeper for a seal. Stylish head carriage, long firm body, dainty legs and long well ringed whip tail. Mottling on the ears showing good red, M on brow, single ribbons and hint of tortie on the feet. Clear coat which was short, smooth and close lying.

APRICOT POINT MALE ADULT:
1.IC.W/H. TURNER’S APPLEJACK SUMMERHEAT 27.2.07 By no means looking his best and not enjoying the day. Medium length wedge with good width between ears which need to be a fraction larger. Straight profile, small pinch to muzzle, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Long rangy body of good basic type with slim legs and slightly thick tail. Good apricot points and slight toning shading on a coat which was slightly long and open. Not too happy to be handled.
APRICOT POINT MALE KITTEN:
1.BOB.REED’S AMYDAY SUNSPANGLED 18.6.08 Delightful kitten of excellent type throwing himself around in an effort to escape. Excellent top of head with balancing width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly straight set eyes of excellent shape and bright blue colour. Delicate neckline and long firm body with dainty legs, tiny feet and a long whip tail with an injury, causing a swelling, half way along the length; no doubt caused by his manic attempts to escape. This was confirmed, in writing, by the duty vet. Good apricot points colour and an off white coat of good length and texture.
2.MULLEN’S FOXYPAWS ERICSSON 1.6.09 Kitten of excellent growth and very good type. Excellent width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Straight set eyes of oriental shape and deep blue colour. Stylish type overall with firm body, slender legs and long whip tail. Good apricot points colour and a clear off white coat which was short, smooth and close lying. Unfortunate to meet the winner.
3.COWLEY & LAMBERT’S JOHPAS RAFAEL 9.5.08 Stylish, well grown kitten of good type. Good top of head with large ears held marginally high. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with deep blue colour. Well grown body, slender legs and long whip tail. Good apricot points colour and a clear off white coat which was short, smooth and close lying.
TORTIE POINT SIAMESE BREEDER’S ADULT:
1.JONES’CH.AMYDAY ALMOST HEAVEN (32b8) 21.8.06 Exquisite type with excellent top of head and large ears. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Excellent oriental eye shape and deep blue colour. Elegant head carriage and long, svelte body with dainty legs, small oval feet and long whip tail. All points well mingled with apricot and a coat with minimal shading which was short, smooth and close lying.
2.SMOUT’S CH.KAMIK THEONEANDONLY(32b1) 11.4.06 Another stylish queen of very good type. Balanced wedge with balancing width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with deep blue colour. Stylish type with long, firm body, slim legs and whip tail. All points well mingled with seal and shades of red and some toning patching and shading on a coat of good length and texture.
CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE BREEDER’S KITTEN FEMALE:
1.HILL’S SOWHYNOT ARWEN 8.2.08 Elegant kitten of overall good type. Straight wedge with well placed large ears. Almost straight profile, level bite chin falls back slightly. Oriental eye shape and set with bright blue colour. Graceful head carriage, long firm body, slender legs and long tail. Rich chocolate points colour and slightly long ivory coat of excellent texture.
2.MORGAN’S ASTRALBLAESE ATALANTA 22.3.06 Long wedge with slight pinch to muzzle. Excellent top of head and large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper. Good type overall with firm body, slim legs and whip tail. Warm chocolate points colour and a close lying ivory coat of excellent texture.
ANY COLOUR KITTEN 6-9months MALE/FEMALE:
1.COPELAND’S FLOWERDEW GTX PECTATIONS(24) MN 2.2.08 This boy is, at present, an excellent colour which is a rarity amongst the seals. Excellent type overall and of super growth. Strong head with excellent width between large ears. The head is a trifle long and showing a pronounced pinch at present; hopefully maturity will remedy this fault. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with bright blue colour which, for perfection, could be deeper though he was facing somewhat unforgiving daylight. Lovely head carriage and long, well grown body with slender legs and long whip tail. Warm seal points and a fawn coat which was smooth, short and close lying. Beautifully presented.
2.MARTIN’S ABICASA PEER GYNT(24n) MN 14.2.08 Another striking youngster who ran the winner close. Excellent balanced wedge with good width between large ears. Straight profile level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with good blue colour. Elegant neckline and long svelte body of excellent type with slender legs and long whip tail. Points of good caramel and slight shading on a coat of excellent length and texture. Very promising.
3.SIMPSON’S SHERMESE MERCEDES(24n) F 9.4.08 Unlucky to meet the boys.
AC BREED 32/BALINESE EQUIVALENT BREEDER’S NEUTER:
1.REED’S GR.CH.& IMP.GR.PR.JOHPAS GLAMNGLITZ(32b8) FN 17.4.02 Impressive exhibit of excellent type. Lovely top of head and large ears. Straight profile, untidy bite due to loss of some teeth and firm chin. Excellent eye shape, set and deep blue colour. Firm body of stylish type, slender legs and long whip tail. All points well mingled with soft apricot. Slight toning shading on a short, close lying coat.
2.HAYWOOD’S PR.MONARD COSMIC GIRL (32/2) FN 12.8.05 Mature lady of good type. Balanced medium length wedge with good width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with bright blue colour. Long well fed body with dainty legs and long well ringed whip tail. Soft blue points showing clear tabby markings with M on brow, thumb prints and leg bars and bracelets. Coat of excellent length and texture.
AC BREED 24 NEUTER NOT BRED BY EXHIBITOR:
1.KERSEY’S PR.MALIKASIAM WILBUR MEWZED(24c) MN 6.9.07 Well grown boy with medium length wedge showing pinch to muzzle. Well placed ears which could be larger to improve balance . Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with good blue colour. Long, muscular body of good type with slim legs and long tail. Excellent points colour and a clear coat which was smooth and shining.
2.LODWIG’S PR.KINGSOWEN ALLTHATJAZZ(24) FN 30.12.04 Well grown with a straight wedge and good width between large ears. Straight profile, pinch to muzzle, bite not examined. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Strong body, slim legs and long tail. Dark seal points and some shading on a coat retaining good contrast. Not in the best of tempers and rather difficult to handle.
