JUDGES REPORT - MRS CELIA DE MARTINO
My thanks to Julia May and the show committee for their kind invitation to judge at this most prestigious show. It was an honour to judge best of variety adult longhair. I had a great team of stewards led by Ed Merchant. He was assisted by Gill White and Jonathan Emery. Thanks, you all you worked hard and did me proud.
RED OR CREAM SMOKE PERSIAN KITTEN MALE
1 & BOB MORRIS’ HEATHROSE ROOMS ONFIRE. A lovely red smoke lad just over 7 months old with a true smoke look about him. Lovely red mask and full creamy white ruff framing his face. Good top of head, well set furnished ears, short broad
nose with deep stop, dusky pink leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin, muzzle slightly pinched. Round fairly bold muddy eyes showing promise of good copper colour to come. Cobby weighty rounded frame, touch high on legs but wanting to know what was going on so didn’t do himself justice in that department. Medium length tail in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky flowing rich red coat of medium length with contrasts coming from shoulders rest a bit diffuse. A beautiful lad who handled well and was in excellent condition.
BLUE TORTIE AND WHITE PERSIAN KITTEN
1 & BOB WYLDE’S PEN 48. Well grown well prepared lass just 8 months old with good top of head, well placed furnished ears, short broad nose with deep stop, nose leather pink/slate grey, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold muddy eyes showing promise of good copper colour to come. Rounded cobby frame, sturdy legs and short full tail. Soft silky coat showing good distribution of blue and cream to face, whisker pads white. Body coloured with full white collar and white band to waist. White patch to one flank, colour and white to all limbs. Excellent temperament and condition.
BLACK OR BLUE SELF PERSIAN IMP GR / GR PREMIER MALE
1 UKGPR BOYES’ GR CH & GR PR JERVO BLACKICE. A gorgeous black lad with a profuse coat. Long soft silky glossy black with some shading. Very well prepared, every hair separated. Excellent top of head, with excellent width between neat well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite, firm chin and extremely long whiskers. Round bold orange eyes, would prefer deeper colour but he is 5 so you expect the depth of colour to be starting to fade. Large rounded weighty cobby frame, short sturdy legs, short full tail .Excellent temperament and condition, very laid back.
2 FLINT’S GR PR MICHELETTA MIDNITE ROLO. A lovely 6 year old black boy with good width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold pale orange eyes. Large rounded weighty cobby frame, short sturdy legs, short full tail. Well prepared glossy black coat, long soft and silky. Excellent temperament and condition.
3 HOWE’S GR PR HONEYMIST BLACK TYRONE. A well grown black lad just over 3 years old with good width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round orange eyes, touch deep set. Rounded weighty frame, a bit long in body and high on legs, feet furnished, tail of medium length and in proportion to body. Well prepared black coat of medium length a bit shady and harsh in places. Excellent temperament and condition.
4 WOODMAN’S GR CH & GR PR CHERUTI BLUE SUEDEMEWS. A lovely lad with a fairly pale blue coat. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. A weighty lad who was long in body and a bit high on legs. Sparse tail of medium length. Soft coat of pale blue, shady and in need of much more show preparation. My reason for not awarding BOB. Handled well although he was a bit tetchy today.
BLUE PERSIAN PREMIER MALE
1 GPR WITHELD WOODMAN’S PR TUFTY SINGIN THEBLUES. Well grown, well prepared lad with good top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Had his tongue out all the time, could not close his mouth, duty vet confirmed malocclusion. My reason for withholding, so sorry on such a lovely boy. Cobby weighty rounded frame, sturdy legs and fairly short tail. Excellent temperament and condition.
AOC SELF PERSIAN IMP GR / GR PREMIER MALE
1 UK GPR & BOB PRESTIDGE’S GR CH & GR PR RODONY’S DON JUAN. A gorgeous red lad with such a loud purr, didn’t stop all through judging, just laid on the table. Excellent top of head, small neat well set ears, furnished, short broad nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Large rounded cobby frame, short sturdy legs and shortish full tail. Profuse soft silky long rich red coat with minimum shading and no tabby barring. Lovely long ruff framing his face. Coat preparation was excellent, every hair separated, congratulations to his owner. Excellent temperament and condition.
2 TAYLOR’S IMP GR PR LAFREBELLA ESPRIT. An orange eyed white lad looking like a huge ball of cotton wool with bold orange eyes peering out. Ran winner close. Excellent top of head, well set furnished ears, short nose with deep stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Large cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, huge feathered paws, tail of medium length and in proportion to body. Long soft silky sparkling white coat, well prepared. Excellent temperament and condition.
3 & BOB STANDBRIDGE’S GR PR LEEROMAX JAYCEE. A lovely chocolate lad, 6 years old with good width between well set furnished ears, short broad nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Deep set eyes of pale orange, prefer deeper shade but he is 6 so you expect the colour to start fading. Rounded weighty cobby frame, sturdy legs, fairly short tail. Well prepared soft silky coat, lovely warm shade of chocolate, some shading. Excellent temperament and condition, a good example of a chocolate.
AOC PERSIAN IMPGR/GR PREMIER FEMALE
1 UKGPR & BOB DEMBSKI’S SUP UK & IMP GR CH & GR PR LINDENLEA WHOOPS ADAISY. An extremely beautiful orange eyed white girl with a sweet feminine expression A real little girl. Good width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, pink leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round eyes a lovely shade of orange but would prefer a touch bolder. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, feathered feet and short full tail. Well prepared long soft silky flowing sparkling white coat. Excellent temperament and condition.
RED SELF PREMIER
1 & GPR STALLING’S CH & PR SHARISHIMA THE GOV’NOR. A beautiful lad with a rich red coat showing minimal shading. Long soft silky and well prepared. Excellent top of head, well set furnished ears, short nose with stop, pink leather, good bite and firm chin. Prefer touch larger nose leather, nostrils adequate. Round orange eyes, a touch deep set. Large cobby rounded weighty frame, short sturdy legs, feet feathered, tail of medium length and in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.
2 TOMLINSON’S GR CH & PR PELLARN SANDPIPER. A sweetie. Good top of head, well placed ears, furnished, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite, needs touch more chin to balance. Round orange eyes, a touch deep set. Cobby rounded weighty frame, sturdy legs and fairly short full tail. Well prepared long soft silky rich red coat showing minimal shading.
Excellent temperament and condition.

1 UKGPR BROWN’S IMP GR PR SILKTOWN BLACK ART. A lovely black smoke lad with excellent top of head, well placed ears, silver furnishings, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Cobby rounded weighty frame, short sturdy legs and fairly short tail. Well prepared long soft silky coat. Silver ruff framing his face, black mask. Coat of glossy black showing silvery white undercoat. Excellent temperament in pen, a bit unsure of himself when on show because of the noise. Excellent condition.

1 UK GPR & BOB DAVIES’ CH & IMP GR PR HIGHSPOT CHANTILLY. A beautiful very feminine red cameo lass. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with sop, pink leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short tail.
Well prepared soft silky flowing coat lightly ande evenly tipped with red, lovely white undercoat. Excellent temperament and condition, A lovely girl.BLACK OR CHOCOLATE SMOKE PERSIAN
PREMIER MALE
1 GPR TOMLINSON’S PELLARN PRINZHARRY. A nice black smoke lad. God width between well placed furnished eras, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Deep set eyes of dark copper. Cobby fairly rounded frame, weighty, short sturdy legs, medium length tail in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky coat. Lovely silvery white undercoat, fairly even tipping, silver ruff framing his face, mask still developing. Excellent and condition.
BLACK OR CHOCOLATE SMOKE PERSIAN PRE-PREMIER MALE
1 PR & BOB FLINT’S BARRKUDOS STAMPOFAPPROVAL. A beautiful black smoke boy. Excellent width between well set furnished ears, round bold orange eyes, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Large cobby weighty rounded frame, short sturdy legs, huge rounded paws with feathers, medium length tial in proportion to body. Excellent well prepared long soft silky coat. Silvery white ruff framing his face. Excellent white undercoat overlaid with glossy black. Excellent temperament and condition.
BLUE OR LILAC SMOKE PERSIAN PREMIER MALE
1 GPR WITHELD LEWIS’ PR BUNCHILLIE SILVERLING. Good example of a blue smoke. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby weighty rounded frame, short sturdy legs and full tail. Blue mask showing, contrast coming - silvery white. Long silky coat needs much more show preparation. Tummy and underarms need much more attention, coat needs brushing and combing right down to the roots. Excellent temperament and condition. GPR witheld on coat presentation.
DILUTE SHADED OR TIPPED CAMEO PREMIER MALE
1GPR & BOB FORDE’S PR HONEYGEM XZAVIER. A beautiful cream shaded lad. Excellent top of head, well set furnished ears, short nose with stop, pink leather, good bite, full cheeks and firm chin. Round fairly bold dark orange eyes. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, short full tail. Well prepared long soft silky coat. Lovely cream tipping on silvery white undercoat coming from shoulders. The rest a bit diffuse due to seasonal changes. Excellent temperament and condition.
