THE GCCF SUPREME SHOW – 22.11.2008 – MRS ANNE GREGORYVery many thanks to all concerned for the privilege of judging at the Supreme Show, it was a wonderful day with such a good atmosphere and so many things happening for the exhibitors and visitors. I would also like to thank Dave Howe and his team for the calm atmosphere in Ring 5; everything was so well organised and smooth running. Finally, I must thank my excellent team of stewards, Craig, Hilary and Vanessa – they have everything under control and work extremely well together and are great company on a busy day.
RUSSIAN BLUE OR KORAT GRAND CHAMPION, MALE
1 UK GCC NICHOLS’ IMP GR CH NIKELSILVA NEPTUNE, 34, M, 14.8.2004A handsome male of excellent type. The head had excellent balance with a heart shaped face. The eyes were large, prominent and a lovely green. Very good profile and chin. Large ears set well. Firm, muscular body with a semi-cobby look. Excellent legs and tail to balance. The coat was of very good quality, medium length and single. Lovely silvering. A quality Korat, alone in this class but well worthy of this highest award.
RUSSIAN BLUE OR KORAT GRAND CHAMPION, FEMALE
1 UK GCC + BOB GAME’S IMP GR CH CHANDRAKAN KARNCHANA, 34, F, 24.1.2002A beautiful Korat female of outstanding quality and style. Excellent breadth to the head. Heart shaped face and rounded muzzle. Short nose showing a slight downward curve. Excellent chin. Excellent eyes for shape, colour and expression. Very well set ears. Medium length to the muscular body with well proportioned legs and a medium tail. Beautiful coat quality, it was short, fine and close lying. Excellent medium blue with a beautiful silver sheen. An excellent example of the breed with “presence” and personality.
2 NOBLE’S GR CH SASHOVA DASHKOVA, 16A, F, 29.11.2002A very attractive and balanced female. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Very good angle to the profile. Very slight nose bump. Good chin. Large ears that were beautifully set. Aolmond shaped eyes that were a good green. Elegant, firm body with excellent muscle tone. Slender legs and lovely tail. Good coat that was short but it could be more dense. Lovely medium blue with a silvery sheen. Wonderful temperament and looking very much the part.
3 JEFFERS’ GR CH MAIPENRAI TAO LUCY, 34, 9.4.2004A very attractive female of lovely type and balance. Heart shaped face with good breadth. Large ears set well apart. Very expressive eyes of good colour. Good profile and chin. Medium length to the body with a firm, muscular feel. Good legs and tail. Medium length coat. Smooth and close lying. Good blue that was well silvered with a lovely sheen. Excellent condition and temperament, a pleasing exhibit that did not quite have the maturity of the other two females on the day.
RUSSIAN BLUE CHAMPION, MALE
1 GCC PHILLIPS CH SITHEE BUTTERCUP JOE, 16A, M, 12.4.2007A handsome, elegant, muscular and balanced Russian. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Very good profile and angle. Excellent ears for size and set. Expressive almond shaped eyes that were a good green. Long body that was muscular and stylish. Good bone with long, slender legs and oval paws. Tail in proportion and tapering to a rounded tip. The coat was double and quite dense with a plushy feel. Medium blue with lovely silver sheen. Excellent temperament and shown in excellent condition.
2 WILLIAMS-ELLISS, CH LUBIMIYEH VASKA, 16A, M, 14.3.2007A really masculine Russian but elegant. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Ears could be larger but set well. Excellent eyes of good green. Very good profile and angle. Firm chin. The body was muscular and long with very good legs and tail. Dense coat that was double. Very attractive blue with a silvery sheen. Excellent condition and temperament.

1 GCC + BOB KAYE’S CH SITHEE LILLIBULLERO, 16A, F, 8.12.2005A very attractive and elegant female of lovely type and style. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Excellent ears and vertical ear set. Beautiful eyes and expression. Very good profile, angle and chin. Elegant and muscular body with slender legs and oval paws. Long tail with a rounded tip. Lovely soft, dense coat that was a medium blue with silvery sheen. Excellent temperament and condition. She had the best coat texture of all the Russians on the day and so really deserved the BOB award.
2 NOBLE’S CH TROIKA NIJINSKA, 16A, F, 15.11.2006A very pretty female with good head type. Short wedge, with prominent whisker pads. The large ears were set vertically. Good angle to the profile and beautiful eyes of very good green. Elegant, muscular body with long legs and a tapering tail that balanced well. Medium length coat that was longer on the lower spine. However it was dense and soft. Medium blue with attractive silvery sheen. Excellent temperament and condition.

1 CC STARK’S DUSHENKA XANDER, 16A, 5.1.2008A handsome, elegant and stylish young male. Very good short wedge with large ears set vertically. Expressive eyes. Puffy whisker pads to finish the wedge. Good chin. Very good profile and angle. Long, muscular and elegant body with long legs and very good tail. The coat was short, dense and soft. Medium blue with a silvery sheen. Excellent condition and temperament.
2 SEDGEWICK’S CATWO KORLYA, 16A, M, 27.11.2007A handsome and masculine cat. He held his ears a fraction wide of vertical and there was a tendency to flare them. Very good angle. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Very good eyes for shape, set and colour. Long, muscular body. He was elegant and balanced with good legs and tail. Medium length coat that was rather flat on the spine. Lovely colour and silvery sheen. He was rather nervous and overawed by the Supreme. Excellent condition.

1 CC BANDY’S TROIKA SHEREMETEVA, 16A, F, 12.10.2007A very pretty young female with type and style. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Very good angle. Expressive eyes of very good colour, shape and set. Large ears set vertically. Elegant body that was well muscled. Very good legs and tail. Short, dense, soft coat of very good blue with the silvery sheen developing. Excellent condition and temperament.
2 STARK’S DUSHENKA XARIABELLA, 16A, F, 5.1.2008Another very attractive young female with promise. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Large ears set vertically. Expressive eyes. Slight bump on the nose but good angle. Elegant, muscular body with long legs and good tail. Her coat was short, dense and soft. Medium blue with a silvery sheen. Excellent condition and temperament.

1 GCC CHERKAS’ CH JUSARKA THAI LILAC PROMISE, 34, 26.6.2007Very pretty female with lovely type and balance. Heart shaped face and good forehead. Very nice profile and chin. Large ears set well. Beautiful eyes. Firm, muscular body that was well balanced with good legs and tail. Excellent medium length single coat that was close lying. Lovely blue with distinct silver sheen from the silver tipping. Excellent temperament and a super personality.
KORAT PRE-CHAMPION, MALE
1 CC LACEY’S JENANCA LONE STAR, 34, 5.9.2007Handsome young male who was well grown and muscular. Heart shaped face and large forehead. Well set ears. Very expressive large, prominent eyes. Slight bump on the profile. Good chin. Excellent semi-cobby body with good legs and tail. Medium length, close-lying coat that was a good blue with silver tipping. Excellent condition and personality.

1 CC WILKINSON’S THEOAKS REMOANA, 34, F, 27.6.2007Very pretty young female with an excellent expression. Heart shaped face and good forehead. Well set ears. Slight bump on the profile. Good chin. Excellent eyes. Semi-cobby and muscular with good legs and tail. Single coat of medium length. Darker blue that was well tipped with silver. Excellent condition and temperament.

1 + BOB PENFOLD’S KWANSAN NUTIKITI NALA, 77, F, 17.4.2008An extremely pretty, pleasing and promising kitten. Excellent head type although a little straight in the profile. Excellent eyes and well set ears. Firm, lithe body with very good legs and tail. Short, fine coat with lovely warmth to it and excellent ticking. Well marked. Excellent temperament and condition.

Expressive eyes of excellent green. Very good profile and angle. Prominent whisker pads. Long, muscular body with very good legs and tail. Double coat with good undercoat. Soft, medium blue with a silvery sheen. Excellent condition and temperament.

Expressive eyes of excellent green that were prominent. Firm, muscular body with good legs and tail. Beautiful coat that was single and close lying with a lovely silvery sheen. Excellent condition and temperament.

1 GPR WH BANDY’S GR CG & PR TROIKA MARIA MOREVNA, 16A, FN, 8.6.2000A pleasing female with lovely expression. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Lare ears set vertically. Very good eyes and expression. Long and muscular with good legs and tail. The coat was soft and dense. Medium length with a distinct silvery sheen. However, she did have definite silver tipping that was almost like ticking in places and there was a dark blue stripe along the spine to the tail (similar to that found on an Abyssinian). Excellent condition and temperament.

1 PR WH CHERRY’S BRIGHTLITE NIKITA, 16A, FN, 9.4.2007Well grown, muscular and elegant. Medium wedge with large ears set vertically. The profile was oriental with a slight bump on the nose. Excellent eyes for shape, colour and expression. Long body and legs. Good tail. Medium length coat that was a medium blue with a silvery sheen. Excellent condition and temperament. I was not happy with the profile and it was for that reason the certificate was withheld.

MERIT AWARDED TO SEDGEWICK’S CATWO DIMITRI, 16A 14C, M, 21.4.2008A pleasing cat for type and coat. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Large ears set vertically. Very good angle and chin. Expressive green eyes. Lithe and muscular but elegant. Very good legs and tail. The coat was dense and had a good plushy feel. Shown in excellent condition and he had the typical Russian relaxed temperament.
MERIT AWARDED TO NOBLE’S CATWO KIRA, 16A 15, F, 27.11.07I felt the Russian “look” was almost there on this female. Short wedge with the ears almost vertical. Straight profile with an angle. Expressive green eyes. Lithe, muscular body with good legs and tail. The coat had density, was of medium length and jet black. A little nervous but shown in superb condition.
THAI LILAC ASSESSMENT ADULT, KITTEN OR NEUTER
MERIT AWARDED TO SALTMARSHE’S THANONWANG EARLE ELENDIL, 34C, MN, 10.3.2007A handsome lilac with a superb coat for texture and colour. Heart shaped face with breadth across the eyes. Very good profile and chin. The muzzle was a little fine. Excellent eyes for shape, colour, prominence and expression. Firm and muscular with very good legs and tail. Superb coat quality, I just loved it – perfect to stroke and it had a lovely sheen. Excellent condition and typically outgoing, affectionate Korat personality.
