AC SELF PERSIAN CHAMPION, MALE
1 GCC STEWART’S GR CH LAZANE ON CLOUD NINE, 2A, M, 8.6.2007
A really handsome cat of excellent type and balance. Broad head with a round face and full cheeks. Strong muzzle and firm chin. Neat, well furnished ears set well apart in the contours of the head. Large orange eyes that were very expressive. Short, broad nose with a stop. Full pink leather. Excellent cobby body with substantial boning and solid muscle tone. Immaculate coat that was long, fine and silky. Excellent frill. Impressive.
RES: MALLABONE’S CH FINCHFIELD DEVILINDISGUISE, 70 1, M, 20.8.2007
A strong contender of excellent type and style. Lovely breadth of skull with rounded contours. Small ears, rounded at the tips and set well apart and low in the contours of the head. Full cheeks and rounded forehead. Short, broad nose with a stop. Full black leather and nostrils. Strong muzzle and firm chin. Excellent cobby body with breadth of chest and a solid, muscular feel. Very good legs and tail. Summer coat but a good black and well presented to the best advantage. Excellent condition and temperament.
AC SELF PERSIAN CHAMPION, FEMALE
1 GCC PRIOR’S CH BRAMBLEBERRY LUNA, 2A, F, 22.6.2007
A very pretty female who was well balanced. Very good head with breadth of skull and round face with full cheeks and muzzle. Very expressive eyes that were large, a good orange and with a bold expression. Short nose with a stop. Firm chin. Very good body, legs and tail. Full coat well presented and snowy. Perhaps marginally harsh on the back. Excellent condition and temperament.
AOV FOREIGN PREMIER, MALE
1 GPR KEMP’S PR NATZKATZ IRISH-CREAM, 72 43NSQ, MN, 16.5.2007
A very handsome cat of excellent type, balance and temperament. Lovely short, balanced wedge with width at the cheekbones and a blunt finish to the muzzle. The top of the head was gently rounded with medium ears set well apart. They were broad at the base and rounded at the tips. They had a slight forward tilt. The brow curved gently and there was a distinct nose break and a straight nose. Good depth to the chin. Excellent eyes that were large, lustrous and set well apart. The top line slanted towards the nose and the lower line was rounded. Slender body that was firm and muscular. Very good legs and tail. Short, fine coat that was really glossy and close lying. Very good colour and pattern. This cat had “presence” and was of excellent quality.
2 (RES/WH) DONLON’S PR THICKTHORN MURRAYA, 73C, MN, 26.6.2004
This cat was rather plump and that really blurred his type for me taking away the athletic, powerful impression. Moderate wedge of reasonable length but there was a slight depression to the top of the head. Slight dip in the profile and moderate whisker pinch. Moderately large ears with width at the base and well set. The eyes were almond shaped and slightly angled. He had good boning but, with the plump body his tail appeared short. Good colour lilac but the spotting was not well defined.
AOV FOREIGN PREMIER, FEMALE
GOODGER’S PR ADMEWSH BUSHFIREDIZNEY, 76 30, FN, 7.1.2002
A very attractive and affectionate female who showed herself to great advantage and had “presence”. She was sleek and muscular with a slightly small head that gave her that wild appearance. The head had breadth with rounded contours and was of medium length. High cheek bones and a full, broad muzzle. There was a gentle curve to the profile. Large, broad nose with a slightly puffed leather. Excellent bite. Well set ears of medium size that were wide at the base and rounded at the tips. Strong chin and pronounced whisker pads. Excellent oval eyes that were very expressive and a lovely green. Very good body and legs. Medium length tail that was thick and even with a rounded tip. Excellent coat quality, it was short, very dense and really was unusually soft! Excellent markings and contrast with a high degree of rufous apparent. Some linkage but also some attractive rosettes. Shown in superb condition and a delightful personality.
2 (RES/WH) CHURCH’S ADCINSH LAST DOLLAR SALOON, 76 30, FN, 18.3.2005
I felt this female was unfortunate to be penned next to the winner, as it made her faults more apparent. I felt her ears were set too wide apart spoiling the alert look. The muzzle fined and the chin sloped away. Good profile and nose. The eyes were almond shaped and had almost an oriental setting. Long, sleek body with medium legs and tail but the latter was too fine. The coat was of medium length and lay flat with a resilient texture rather than the very soft, density required. Too much linkage apparent and a cooler tone altogether. Excellent condition and sweet temperament.
BLUE TORTIE & WHITE PERSIAN KITTEN
1 + BOB THORNBURN’S ALINDAS JUSTKISSME, 12 2, F, 3.7.2008
A sweet baby of excellent weight and muscle tone. The head was round with good breadth of skull and small ears, rounded at the tips and well furnished, set well apart in the contours of the head. Full cheeks and muzzle. Rounded forehead and short, broad nose with a stop. The nose leather was fully formed. The eyes were large, full and round. They were marginally deep set. The colour is developing and slightly “muddy” at present. Cobby body of good size with breadth to the chest and firm muscle tone. She stood low on short, thick legs with large, round, tufted paws. Short, bushy tail that balanced well. Baby coat that was very well presented. The white was immaculate; the blue was medium in tone with a “temperature” mark apparent; the cream was a pale, soft tone and also had a temperature mark about halfway down the hair shaft. Other than that, the colours were even and sound. Both colours were present on the head with a white blaze on the top of the head that veered to the left under the eye. Blue and cream patches on the shoulders. Cream patch on the lower back. Both colours present on the tail and back legs. There were small patches of both colours on the front, left paw and a cream patch on the front right paw. Excellent condition and temperament.
RED SMOKE PERSIAN KITTEN
1 + BOB MORRIS’S HEATHROSE ROOMS ONFIRE, 6D, M, 2.4.2008
A well grown, muscular kitten with excellent substance and boning. The head had breadth with rounded contours. Small ears, well furnished and set well apart. Lovely width at the muzzle and a good bite. Firm chin. Snub nose with a pink leather. Large round eyes, very expression and a beautiful deep orange developing. Cobby body with short, sturdy legs. Short bushy tail to balance. The coat was fine and silky, developing well. Excellent mask that was a deep, rich red with a silvery frill, almost like a halo framing it. The ear furnishings were ash white too. The contrast is not there yet on the body but it is beginning to develop. Some ghost barring on the legs at present. Paler silvery tone to the underbelly. Excellent condition, presentation and temperament. I thought this kitten had great potential.
CHINCHILLA KITTEN, MALE
1 + BOB WALLACE’S VIVALDI DESIGNER LABEL, 10, M, 7.6.2008
A handsome baby with excellent size and feel to him for his tender age. Broad head that was well rounded with breadth between the neat, well furnished ears. Snub nose with a brick leather outlined in black. Full cheeks and lovely width at the muzzle. Large round eyes outlined with black. Excellent expression and a good emerald tone. Cobby body with a muscular feel and short, thick legs. Short, bushy tail balanced well. Baby coat that is developing well. It was dense, silky and fine with a frill developing to frame the face. The black tipping was even although slightly heavier on the shoulders where the fur was shorter. Pure white ear furnishings, chin, chest and stomach. Some darker roots apparent on the back. Black lips and paw pads. Excellent condition and delightful temperament.
CHINCHILLA KITTEN, FEMALE
1 ROUSE’S VILLIERS MAMA MIA, 10, F, 3.6.2008
Another pleasing kitten of very good size, weight and condition. The head had breadth and was well rounded. Open face with full cheeks. The ears were small but a little open and set well apart. Snub nose. The muzzle had with and the chin was good. Large eyes, very expressive; they were a pale green and were outlined with black. Brick nose leather outlined with black. Very good cobby body with short, sturdy legs and a short, bushy tail to balance. Full coat with a fril. The undercoat was pure white. There was light, even tipping on the head, ears, back, flanks and tail. The underbelly stomach, chest, chin and ear furnishings were pure white. Excellent condition and temperament.
USUAL SOMALI ADULT
BOB HORSLEY’S GR CH SUPATOFT PUMPKINS PIE, 63, F, 9.7.2005
A very attractive and balanced Usual with rich colour and excellent ticking.
SELKIRK REX KITTEN, MALE
1 + BOB LEE’S SEWNSEW COTTONTAIL, 79S 15, M, 14.4.2008
A scrummy Selkirk of excellent type and wonderful temperament. Broad head with a round face and full cheeks. Rectangular muzzle with pronounced whisker pads. Medium ears set well apart in the contours of the head. Large, round eyes that were very expressive. Rounded forehead and very good nose with a downward slant. Firm chin. Excellent body that was cobby and solid with strong legs. Thick tail that balanced well. Excellent dense coat of even length and it had a soft, plushy feel. Excellent rexing. Well shown in sparkling condition and with a delightful temperament.
SELKIRK REX KITTEN, FEMALE
1 HAZEL’S WYREWOOD TRULISCRUMPTIOUS, 79S 21, F, 12.4.2008
A very pretty black tortoiseshell with very good type and expression. The head had breadth and balance with full cheeks and a strong little muzzle. Well set ears. Large eyes that were round and set well apart. Very expressive. Rounded forehead and short, broad nose with a downward slant. Medium width to the muzzle and well padded whisker pads. Cobby body with good legs and tail. Perhaps slightly small for six months but solid, muscular and a good weight for her size. Excellent coat that was of uniform length, dense, thick and standing out well from the body. Random and unstructured waves and curls. A sweet, feminine kitten.
LAPERM ADULT
1 IC/WH HEAVEN’S ASWANI IOLANTHE, 80L 45F, 28.2.2006
A very tense female of fair type. Moderate wedge of medium length but snipy at the muzzle. Whisker pads were not prominent. The ears were slightly flared and cupped set a little high. The eyes were almond shaped but set straight which did not give a typical expression. Medium body of foreign type with slender legs and a plumed tail. On the body, the coat was short, somewhat sparse and very harsh to the touch. Very, very shallow waves. Overall, I did not feel this LaPerm was of show quality. Shown in good condition but with a nervous temperament.
SPHYNX KITTEN – MERITS AWARDED TO:
DERRICK’S ADATESH SODACHIS CLOUD, 84 14A, F, 26.4.2008
A well grown, muscular kitten with a modified wedge. Rounded contours but needs more of a whisker break. Fairly good muzzle. Rounded skull. Ears large and set well. The eyes were a good shape and slanted. Very expressive. Muscular, firm body of medium length. Broad chest. Good neck. Medium legs that were well muscled and long toes. Long, slender tail. Fine down on the body with short fur on the nose. Well wrinkled. Excellent temperament and condition although she was a little stained on the underbelly.
NEWTON’S ARCHANGEL HAYLEY’S COMET, 83 31T, F, 17.4.2008
A really attractive and balanced kitten of excellent type and style. Moderste wedge with good flat plane in front of large, well set ears. Good profile though the chin failed. Whisker break. Excellent eyes of lemon shape that were really expressive. Firm, muscular body with very good legs and paws. Excellent tail. Fine down on the body and she was very well presented. I know there are no points for markings, but I loved hers, they looked as if they had been painted on her skin! Excellent temperament and condition. Very promising in my opinion.
NEWTON’S TALLTREES AYASHA, 84 31DT, F, 19.4.2008
Another very attractive kitten. Lovely head with a whisker break and large ears that were set well. Good profile and chin. Flat plane in front of the ears. Excellent eyes of lemon shape that were really expressive. Firm, muscular body with a lovely feel to her. Very good legs and toes. Superb tail that curled around so well. Fine down on the body and some fur on her nose. Excellent temperament and condition. I feel this kitten has promise.
LILAC BURMESE ADULT
I considered 437 and 440 for the BOB but felt the Open Class winner had the best coat colour and quality.
1 CC + BOB WILSHAW’S ROSSIKHAN CENTREFOLD, 27C, F, 3.11.2007
A beautiful female with a short wedge showing width at the cheek bones and a blunt finish to the muzzle. The top of the head was slightly rounded with slightly large ears, broad at the base, rounded at the tips and set well apart. Large eyes with a wicked expression! The top line showed a slight slant towards the nose and the lower line was rounded. Yellow chartreuse tone. Slightly rounded brow with a distinct nose break and straight nose; good chin. Medium length to the body with a firm, muscular feel. Slender legs and a good tail to balance. Wonderful coat, it was really short, fine and glossy. It was close lying and a beautiful lilac that was pale and delicate with the correct pinkish cast.
Shown in excellent condition and with such character – I felt she was SO promising.
2 PALLISTER’S ADATEBU LOVEINTHEMIST, 27C, F, 1.10.2007
A sweet young female of good type overall although she did tend to hold her ears high which spoiled her head for me. Short wedge with a blunt finish and width at the cheeks. The top of the head and the brow were gently rounded and the ears were of medium size, broad at the base and rounded at the tips. Good nose break but the chin could be firmer. Expressive eyes of good shape and colour. Muscular body with slender legs and oval paws. Straight tail of medium thickness that tapered to a rounded tip, Medium length coat that was sine and close lying. The lilac was even but a little cool in tone. Excellent condition and temperament.
FAWN POINT SIAMESE ADULT
1 IC + BOB HUDSON’S FIORDILISO VALENTINO, 24R, M, 31.12.2007
A very handsome and balanced male with excellent type. Long, even wedge with large ears set well apart to balance that length. Straight profile and good depth to the chin. Very good eyes of oriental shape and set. Good depth of blue and very expressive. Very good head carriage. Long body that was firm and muscular with long fine legs and oval paws. The tail tapered well but could be a little longer for perfection. Short, fine coat that was close lying. Excellent points colour, it really was the rosy mushroom described in the standard. Excellent contrast. Excellent temperament and condition.
AC BALINESE ADULT
1 CC + BOB READ’S ADAJAN VANILLA SKYE, 61BT, F, 6.8.2006
An attractive queen with good type and balance overall. Balanced wedge with even lines to the muzzle. Large ears set well apart. The eyes were an excellent shape and set although I felt the colour could be deeper in tone. Excellent body with a firm, muscular feel. Very good legs and tail. Silky coat that lay well down the spine and then flowed well. Lovely chocolate tabby points with the markings well defined and excellent contrast. Excellent condition and temperament.
