Another wonderful show thanks to Lynda and the amazing team from Yorkshire!
Thanks for asking me once again, a highlight of the judging calendar for me, Tania was able to come and steward as well so the day was made easy and delightful!!
I would also like to thank Lyndsay for doing the driving on the morning that made such a difference!
I was so pleased to be asked to pick the best Persian adult which was a tough thing but I gave it to a gorgeous brown tabby Traceylooe Typhoo and I was just thrilled for his owner that he later on went overall best in show – congratulations.
AC NON SELF CHAMPION MALE
GR CC WALLS GR CH SHEERBLISS ENRICO 70 31a
This male is really developing into a super mature adult! Wide top of head with neat well spaced ears. Round copper eyes that are widely spaced on his face. Short nose with adequate leather and nostrils. Wide cheeks with good depth of chin acceptable bite and width of jaw. Massive frame still retaining the desired cobby stature. Good boning with short limbs and short, rounded tail. Thick coat that was standing away nicely from his body and very dense. Just slightly shady at the roots, mid blue. Well shown and super to handle.
RES GR CC BROWNS CH ADVILO DOODLESHOES 13b4
Mature male with quite good width to his features. Quite a good top of head ears just a little generous. Round pale blue eyes. Short nose with good leather and nostrils. Wide face. Adequate chin and just slightly narrow on his jaw. Massive frame that was just a little longer than Enrico and also slightly higher on his legs. His points colouring were quite even, just not completely developed mask around his mouth. Well shown and very sweet to handle.

Very appealing young lady with nicely balanced head and type. Broad head with fairly neat ears. Round copper eyes that she was not overly keen to open for us on the day. Short upturned nose with wide cheeks. Good bite and deep chin balancing her head. Cobby frame with good boning to her short limbs. Short, full tail. Her coat was generally well shown and with very delicate colouring.
RED SELF ADULT
1 CC BOB CHARLANS ALGERNON MAKEMEBLUSH
I judged this young lady at North West and I was delighted to have her again and to be able to make her a champion! She is such a cutie, with the neatest of ears set so low on her head. Round copper eyes, short nose with wide cheeks. Good bite and nicely balancing chin. Cobby, compact frame with a short, full tail. Little legs with good boning. She was well shown and a mid shade of red with virtually no shadiness or ghost barring at all. Still a little worried about it all but in all a very superior quality young lady – congratulations to her breeders.
2 HOLDENS SEMNI STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE
Older female with fairly good head and type. Slightly narrow top of head with rather large, upright ears. Eyes were small and sore and not really round in shape. Short nose with adequate leather. Round, full cheeks. Bite not closing that was causing her to tip her tongue. Quite cobby in shape and with good body weight, short limbs and a short, full tail. Very rich red coat colouring that was showing rather a lot of tabby patterning.

Sorry to withhold BOB on this male but he was not looking his best and sadly I found a tail defect that was confirmed by the duty vet.

Stunning exhibit with all the desired qualities facially that one could hope for. Excellent condition and very well shown.

Sorry to withhold on this exhibit but for me he just did not have the rounded contours required of the standard for his head shape. He was rather too long and angular for me. He was very worried and unhappy to be in his pen and made assessing him rather difficult.

SILVER SERIES MAINE COON NEUTER MALE

Very large, mature exhibit who was in a slightly unhappy mood on the day. Huge head with super width to length balance. For me his ears were slightly widely placed but taking his maturity into account they were quite acceptable to me, large in size and well furnished with tips and tufts. Expressive eyes that were large and slightly obliquely set. High cheek bones. Shallow concave curve in profile with nice perpendicular line from nose tip to chin. Super square muzzle. Huge, long body with long substantial limbs, rounded and tufted paws. Long well furnished tail. His colouring was generally a very clear sliver with just a little tarnishing around his ears. His patterning was rather diffused but I would suggest classic tabby patterning. He did need more attention to his grooming but I gave the PC on the balance of his other qualities.

It was really quite a struggle to get Tania to let me get my hands on him!
Beautiful male in excellent condition, super round head with nicely placed medium size ears. Round, pale yellow eyes. Broad short nose with shallow curve in profile and downward slant. Lovely rounded full cheeks. His muzzle was nicely “padded” with the rectangular shape visibile in profile. Curly broken whiskers. Firm chin with level bite. Cobby frame very well structured, medium length legs of excellent boning. Thick tail with rounded tip and thicker at the base. His coat was really thick and dense and uniform in length with lovely quality curls. He was just devine to handle and so hard to put back!

Really lovely male only young but looking wonderfully mature and balanced. Broad top with neat ears. Smooth skull. Bold, copper eyes. Very short nose with good leather and nostrils. Wide cheeks. Good bite and firm chin. Very cobby frame with short legs and equally short tail! His coat was wonderfully groomed and had very clear classic tabby patterning throughout. He also had a lovely warm shade to his colouring. Very sweet to handle.

Delightful young man with very promising head and type. Broad head with fairly neat well placed ears. Smooth skull contours. Large, deep copper coloured eyes that were widely spaced. Short, broad nose with good leather and nostrils. Wide cheeks. Good bite and chin. Quite a cobby frame with nice boning and huge feet! Short tail. He was showing great clarity on the red classic tabby patterning and super strength of colouring, contrasting with the sparkling white. Coat developing nicely and promises a very thick and dense undercoat. Very well shown and very full of himself!

Promising kitten with very good head and type. Nicely balanced features with quite neat ears, round skull. Nicely coloured eyes. Short nose with fat cheeks. Good dentition just slightly undershot. Cobby frame with short tail and limbs. I would just question if he is indeed a tabby as he does not have the paler areas around his lips something that one associates with the agouti tabby.

What more can I say about this lad, at the moment he is going from strength to strength and his coat is coming in a real treat! Super balance to his head with everything exactly where it should be, coupled with that a super coat with sound cream patches surrounded by pristine white. Groomed to perfection!

I love this little chinchilla too and she is just a little dolly!! Gorgeous eyes that dominate her pretty face, again in perfect balance. Her body is not overly large but she is cobby and carries good body weight. Groomed so well and it was so tough to give her second!
