MANCHESTER & DISTRICT CAT CLUB. JUDGE- Mrs. Barbara Prowse. 1/5/2010.Thank you for the invitation to judge at my local show. I had a very nice day in the company of Terry White who as always was attentive and very helpful. Looking forwards to the next time. BLACK ADULT MALE1CC MISS C HIGGINS’S HEATHROSE BARNEY RUBBLE (1) M 26/5/09Black of excellently balanced Persian type. Cobby in shape standing on short fat legs. Large round head with excellent width between neat well furnished eras. Large round expressive orange eyes. Short snub nose with good break and full black leather. Good bite. Firm chin with full cheeks. Dense black coat which was very well prepared showing some rustiness around ruff, underparts and tail. This is obviously transitional as coat is changing from kitten to adult on this young man. Dinky tail. 2ND MRS W WALLACE’S RISINGMOON STORMY NIGHT (1) M 22/4/09Black of excellent build and boning. Cobby in shape and standing low on the legs. Large round head 64 41w with good width between small well furnished ears. Round orange eyes which I would have liked to be a little larger. Short broad nose with good stop and full black leather. Undershot bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared full flowing coat that is dense black and is almost sound. Tail is full and in proportion to his body. BOB MISSES S & S HACKING’S CH BALOOBOO SWEET SUCCESS (1) M 9/4/09Black of excellent well balanced Persian type. Cobby in shape standing on short fat legs on round firm paws. Large round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive orange eyes, a deeper shade would have been perfection. Short snub nose. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared dense black coat. Dinky tail. WHITE ORANGE EYED ADULTBOB MISS J M STEWART’S UK IGR CH LAZANE ON CLOUD NINE (2a) M 8/6/07Orange Eyed White of good shape and size. Nicely balanced Persian type. Cobby in shape standing on short fat legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Large round expressive pale orange eyes. Short snub nose with good stop and full pink leather. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared sparkling white coat. Dinky tail. AC TABBY & WHITE ADULT INTERMEDIATE1 IC MRS M THORBURN’S ALINDAS PASTAL CONFETTI (12a8t) F 17/7/09Blue Tortie Tabby and White. Cobby in shape and standing low on the legs. Round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round copper eyes which I would have liked to be a shade larger. Short snub nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Well prepared coat showing a nicely patched coat of a pastel blue and cream and a sparkling white. Tabby markings are a little diffused due to length of coat. Well ringed tail. AC SILVER SOMALI ADULT1CC BOB MR & MRS BULLIVANT’S BARANCHRI GUINEVERE (63cs) F 13/2/09Blue Silver Somali. Body firm and lithe and she stands on long legs on oval feet and well tufted toes. Broad head curving to a firm wedge showing a lovely smiley face. Muzzle is gently rounded and her profile shows a slight nose break. Ears set wide apart, proportionately large, pricked and well cupped. Green eyes, large, almond shaped and set slightly oblique accentuated by spectacles. Firm chin and level bite. Coat soft and fine, dense and lying flat along her spine. Coat is a glacial, silvery blue ticked with a darker blue. The ticking to ears tips and tufts, facial markings, top and tip of tail, toe tufts and heels is blue. Chest, belly, under tail, inside legs and breeches silvery white. She has some tarnishing to her face, legs and chest. Tail long and well furnished, length balances well with her body. AOC SOMALI ADULTBOB MR & MRS BULLIVANT’S CH BARANCHRI HORUS (63e) M 21/4/09Fawn Somali who is beautifully balanced with a firm, lithe medium sized body. Head is a moderate wedge showing lovely gentle contours. Ears set wide apart but not low, broad at the base and proportionately large. They are well tufted. Eyes are amber, large, almond shaped, set slightly oblique and well apart. They are accentuated by a dark surround and encircled by lighter spectacles. A shallow indentation forms the muzzle and there is a slight nose break in profile. Good bite. Coat is a warm powdery fawn made up of a pale oatmeal undercoat ticked with fawn. Chest, belly, under tail, inside of legs and breeches is a pale mushroom. Ticking is fawn and it is developing on the body but is well defined along the spine and tail. Tail long and fully furnished. Wonderful temperament. LILAC POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE1ST MR & MRS BROWN’S DALTEEMA CHAROITE (13c4) M 17/1/10Lilac Point Birman baby. Good size and shape for his age standing on legs which are medium in length on short strong paws. Skull broad and rounded with ears which are medium in size and are spaced nicely apart. Almost round medium blue eyes. Nose is medium in length with dip in profile. Level bite. Cheeks filling nicely chin a little weak. Pure white gloves which are scalloped with pure white socks that are medium in length. Gauntlets are short but tapered. Coat well prepared and off white magnolia in colour. Points a bluey lilac. Tail bushy and in proportion to his body. LILAC POINT BIRMAN KITTEN FEMALE1ST BOB MRS G JONES’S BIJOUBIRMON J’ADORE (13c4) F 6/11/09Lilac Point Birman baby who is nicely typed and well balanced. Good size and shape for her age standing on legs of medium length on short strong paws. Head broad and rounded with ears which are medium in size and spaced well apart. Almost round deep blue eyes. Nose is medium in length with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Cheeks full and round, firm chin. Pure white scalloped gloves with pure white socks that are medium in length. Good length to gauntlets. Coat well prepared, long and silken in texture, off white magnolia in colour. Points a pinkish grey. Tail bushy and in proportion to her body. AC COLOURPOINTED RAGDOLL KITTEN1ST BOB MRS J HINDS’S MAGISRAGIS SERENDIPITY (66a) FN 19/8/09Pretty Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll. Good size and shape, body long and muscular standing on legs that are medium in length on large round paws. Nice broad head with flat plane. Medium sized ears needing just a little more width between them but they are tilted forward. Medium blue eyes set slightly oblique which are large and well opened. Medium length to nose with a gentle dip. Level bite. Cheeks filling nicely rounded muzzle. Well-prepared coat which is showing some surface shading but it is a good length and a nice texture. Points colour is a greyish blue and all matching. Long and bushy tail. 2ND MISS S AGAR’S GROOVICATS TOSCA (66a) F 12/1/10Blue Colourpointed Ragdoll. Well grown for her age. Her body is a good length and she stands on legs which are medium in length on firm round paws. Broad head which is domed rather than flat and needing more width between ears. Ears are medium in size and tilted slightly forward. Two tone blue eyes which are well opened and set slightly oblique. Medium length to nose needing more dip at present. Level bite. Cheeks needing to fill and chin a little weak. Well-prepared coat which is good texture and length and lacking undercoat at the moment. Points colour is a greyish blue and all matching. Long and bushy tail. AC BI COLOUR RAGDOLL KITTEN1ST BOB MR S RYAN’S SARARAGGIS BY THE WAY (66 31g) F 8/8/09Sweet Blue Tortie Bi Colour Ragdoll, my take home kitten of the day. Body is a good shape and size for her age. Her body is long and she stands on medium sized legs on paws that are well tufted. Broad head with flat plane, ears are medium in size and are spaced well apart. Eyes are large, well opened, a deep shade of blue and are slightly oblique. Nose is medium in length and has a gentle dip and retrousse tip. Good bite. Cheeks well rounded, firm chin. Points are greyish blue intermingled with cream. White inverted V which appears to be symmetrical. Coat nicely prepared a nice texture and good length and I would say that it is a bluish white. Well developed ruff. Front legs are white. Back legs are white to the level of the underbody. White underparts. Tail long, reaching the shoulders and tapering towards the tip. 2ND MR S RYAN’S SARARAGGIS BI-CURIOSITY (66 31g) F 8/9/09Blue Tortie Bi Colour Ragdoll. Adolescent in shape as body is a good length but head needs to catch up at present. Her body is long and she stands on medium sized legs on paws that are well tufted. Head has flat plane, ears are medium in size needing a little more space between them. Eyes are large, well opened, a pale shade of blue and are slightly oblique. Nose is medium in length and has a gentle dip. Good bite. Cheeks filling nicely. Points are greyish blue intermingled with cream. Inverted V which is symmetrical. Coat nicely prepared a nice texture and good length and is a bluish white. Nicely developing ruff. Front legs are completely white and back legs are white to the level of the underbody. White underparts. Tail long, reaching the shoulders and tapering towards the tip. Well within the one third white limit. AC SILVER SOMALI NEUTER1PC BOB MRS S MELIA’S CH & GR PR ASTROKINI HALLELUJAH BLISS (63as) MN 25/12/99Sorrel Silver Somali. Beautifully balanced with an alert and smiling expression. Excellent physical condition and a good weight for size. Body of medium build, firm and lithe. Long legs with oval tufted paws showing slight barring on the insides. Head a moderate wedge with gently curving contours. Muzzle is gently rounded and her profile shows a slight nose break. Ears are large and set well apart, well cupped and tufted. Eyes large and almond shaped a nice shade of green and set obliquely, they have a dark surround encircled by lighter coloured spectacles. Pencil lines at either edge of the eye. Good bite. Chin a little weak at the moment. Coat a soft silvery peach ticked with cinnamon. Chest, underparts and breeches silvery white. Tail long and well furnished. MAINE COON BROWN/BLUE TABBY NEUTER MALE1PC MRS S BURGESS’S KASSARO CISCOKID (64 41w) MN 14/5/09Brown Tabby and White Maine Coon. Good size and body confirmation standing on substantial legs on large round well-tufted paws. Body long creating the characteristic rectangular appearance. Head medium in length with large tall well-tufted ears, which are spaced well apart. Full and round gold eyes set slightly oblique. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Level bite. Square muzzle, cheeks fairly full and high cheek bones. Coat well prepared showing a warm brown agouti ground colour, M to forehead, spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to ears. Body markings a little diffused at present due to length of coat. White feet, chest and underparts. Tail long, well ringed and at least the length of the body. 2ND MRS S LONSDALE’S COLORDALE JENSEN (64 41) MN 13/9/07Brown Tabby Maine Coon. Body is medium in size and he stands on substantial legs on large paws. Head medium in length with large tall ears that stand tall and are set well apart and are well tufted. Nose of uniform width with shallow concave curve. Round green coloured eyes which are set slightly oblique. Square muzzle with rounded cheeks. Level bite. Coat needing more preparation and it is rather cold in tone. Markings to head and legs well defined. Body markings diffused but are classic in pattern. Tail long and at least the length of the body with rings. 3RD MRS A LAWSON’S OLTOMAINE LITTLE BOY BLUE (64 20a) MN 8/5/09Blue Tabby Maine Coon of good size and length of body standing on substantial legs with large round well tufted paws. Medium sized head with large well tufted ears needing a little more width between them. Round green eyes set slightly oblique. Shallow concave curve to nose. Good bite. Square muzzle and firm chin. Cheeks needing to fill. Well-prepared coat which is a little short today. Blue markings on a cool toned beige agouti ground. On the forehead there is an M, thumbprints to ears with an unbroken stripe running from the outer corner of each eye, spotted whisker pads. Neck and upper chest has unbroken necklaces. Body markings well defined. Long tail which is well ringed and easily reaches the shoulders. BOB MR & MRS BUNCE’S UK IGR PR COONTASTIC NIJINSKY (64 31t) MN 27/10/05Classic brown Tabby and White Maine Coon. Good size and shape with excellent boning. Strong head which has a good overall length. Large ears which are well furnished with tips and tufts present and are spaced well apart. Green eyes which are large and set slightly oblique. Fairly full cheeks. Nose of uniform width with a shallow concave curve. Nice square muzzle with firm chin. Good bite. Well prepared coat of warm brown and a good texture showing good markings to face, legs and tail. M to forehead, spotted whisker pads and spectacles. Barring to legs with rings to a long tapering tail. White chest, underparts and feet. He also has a white chevron on his face which covers his whisker pads and nose. BRITISH LILAC KITTEN1ST BOB MR & MRS PARRY’S PINEMARTEN DANDELION (15c) M 7/10/09Lilac of good size and shape for his age and much too pretty to be a boy! He has a lovely cobby shape and stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Round head with good width between small ears. Eyes large, round and good shade of orange. Nose is short, broad and straight. Level bite. Firm chin. Coat is a trifle long and soft at present but it is dense. It is a bluey lilac in colour lacking the pinkish tone at present. Tail is thick and medium in length. AC COLOURPOINTED KITTEN1ST BOB MRS W BARRY’S MAWBRITZ RUBY TUESDAY (40 14) F 23/1/10Lilac Tabby Colourpointed kitten who is well grown for her age and only just old enough to come to the show. Body is cobby and she stands on short strong legs on strong round paws. Round head with good width between ears that are a little large. She has round eyes of blue which are spaced nicely apart. Nose is short, broad and straight. Good bite. Cheeks could be a little fuller. Chin is firm. Coat is magnolia white and it is a little wispy at present and lying rather flat. Points show very faint lilac markings on a pale beige background. Very faint M to forehead, spectacles and spotted whisker pads. Very hard to see bars on legs due to colouring but she has rings on her tail which is thick and medium in length. AC PERSIAN MAIDEN KITTEN1ST MR & MRS ROGERS’S MILNUSS MISS VICTORIA (70 8e) F 3/9/09Tortie Tabby Exotic of pleasing type. Cobby in shape and low on the legs. Round head with good width between well furnished ears. Round eyes of copper. Short broad nose with good stop and full leather. Good bite. Full cheeks, strong chin. Coat dense, plush and standing away from the body. Warm brown ground colour overlaid with a rich red with black tabby markings. M to forehead, spectacles around eyes, spotted whisker pads, thumb prints to ears with unbroken necklaces to neck and upper chest. Shoulder markings forming an outline of a butterfly with oysters to both flanks. On the back an unbroken line runs down the spine from the butterflies to the tail with a stripe on either side of this and running parallel to it. Well ringed fully furnished tail. 2ND MISS H THOMPSON’S PANNONIUS SOME LIKE IT HOT (6e) F 24/8/09Tortie Smoke who is nicely grown for her age. She is cobby in shape and stands low on the legs. Head is broad and round with good width between neat ears which are well furnished, she has rather a large bump on the top of her head at the moment. Round eyes of deep copper. Short broad nose with good stop and full black leather. Good bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Well prepared coat which is long, dense and silky in texture. Well defined mask with face showing both colours – black and red. Coat is upside down at present but should soon right itself. Full silver frill. Tail is short and bushy. AC PERSIAN JUNIOR NEUTER1ST MR & MRS CASE’S CH & PR GEMKIN JAZZY JASPER (12a5) MN 11/8/08Red and White Bi-Colour of good shape and size, cobby and standing low on the legs. Lovely balanced Persian type. Round head with excellent width between neat well furnished ears. Round expressive copper eyes. Short broad nose with good stop and full pink leather. Level bite. Full fat cheeks, strong chin. Well-prepared coat of rich red and sparkling white. Red and White to face and nicely patched body. Full brush. 2ND MISS C HIGGINS’S GR CH ALINDAS BAM BAM (12a1) MN 6/6/08Black and White Bi Colour of excellent shape and size. Cobby and standing low on short fat legs. Very pleasing Persian type. Large round head with good width between neat well furnished ears. Round pale orange eyes. Full fat cheeks with firm chin. Good bite. Short snub nose with good break. Coat is prepared to the last hair. Dense black to his head and face with a fully coloured tail, the rest a sparkling white. Tail in proportion to his body. AV BIRMAN KITTEN1ST MISS P SALMON’S MENTOBE COTTON CLOUD (13c2) F 19/9/09Sweet blue Birman baby of good size and shape for her age. Nicely rounded head with ears that are medium in size and spaced well apart. Almost round medium blue eyes. Nose that is medium in length with a slight dip in profile. Cheeks full and round. Good bite. Well prepared coat with matching blue grey points. Pure white gloves which are scalloped, right glove is a little shorter but covers the toes. Pure white socks that are medium in length. Gauntlets are a little short and left gauntlet is blunt. Tail bushy and medium in length. 2ND MRS G JONES’S BIJOUBIRMON J’ADORE (13c4) F 6/11/093RD MR & MRS BROWN’S DALTEEMA STAR SAPPHIRE (13c12) F 17/1/10AV SLH VETERAN NEUTER1ST MR & MRS CHAFFE’S GR CH & PR MIDDLEMAY FLORENCE (13c1) FN 2/10/00Seal point Birman of good shape and size. Strong skull which was broad and rounded. Ears spaced well apart. Medium nose with gentle dip in profile. Cheeks nicely full with firm chin. Good bite. Almost round pale blue eyes. Well prepared coat which was shady but was clear underneath. Dense seal points with full masculine mask. Matching gloves and gauntlets. Fully furnished tail which was in proportion to his body. Looking very well for his age. 2ND MRS M WOODCOCK’S GR PR DARKTOWER SAXON KING (64 31) MN 27/10/00Black and White Maine Coon. Body of good length, solid and muscular showing the characteristic rectangular appearance. Head medium in length with tall ears which are spaced well apart. Full and round green eyes that are spaced well apart. Nose of even width with a shallow concave curve. Full cheeks with a good square muzzle. Level bite. Well prepared coat of dense black and white. Undercoat with a glossy top coat with ruff and breeches. White chin, chest, underparts and feet. Well furnished tail, balancing the length of the body well. 3RD MRS V KEEPING’S GR CH & PR KLAWNIQUE LEELOU (13c4) FN 14/8/97AC BRITISH JUNIOR ADULT1ST MR A HOWARD’S ADATESH KINGSTANDING BLUE (16) F 29/8/08British Blue who has lovely balanced British type. She is cobby, well balanced showing good depth of body and stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Round head with good width between small ears which are rounded at the tip. Round expressive orange eyes. Nose short, broad and straight with full leather. Level bite. Cheeks round with firm chin. Medium blue shade to coat that is almost sound and is a little long and soft to the touch today. Tail medium in length, thicker at the base with a rounded tip. 2ND MRS J ANDREWS’S THORNCHASE MOONLIGHT MONTY (16) M 19/5/09Well grown British Blue. Cobby in shape with short level back. Well balanced and powerful, showing good depth of body with a full broad chest standing on short strong legs on round firm paws. Large round head with good breadth between ears that are a little large. Round pale orange eyes. Nose is straight, broad and short. Level bite. Full cheeks with firm chin. Coat is short dense and crisp and almost navy blue in colour and a little unsound on the day. Tail thick and of medium length. 3RD MRS W BERRY’S BARITOPHANIE REMBRANDT (30) M 25/6/09Brown Spotted who is going through the adolescent stage at present as he is a little rangy in shape and his head needs to develop so that it balances with his body. Round head needing a little more width between ears that he needs to grow into. Large round orange eyes that are spaced well apart. Broad, short, straight nose. Cheeks are developing well and he has a firm chin. Good bite. Coat is short dense and crisp. Ground colour a rich copper brown with dense black spots. Pattern on the head shows a well defined M with spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to the ears. The pattern on the body shows numerous well defined oval spots which are linked at the moment on the shoulders and flanks. Tail is ringed and medium in length. AC BRITISH JUNIOR ADULT1ST MR & MRS PARRY’S PINEMARTEN MOZART (31a) F 7/5/09Blue and White Bi Colour of good shape and size. She is cobby, stands low on her legs and stands on round firm paws. Head is round with good width between ears which are small and rounded at the tip. Round well opened copper eyes. Short broad and straight nose. Level bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Coat is short, dense and crisp. It is a medium shade of blue and sparkling white. It is slightly unsound near the roots. She has a symmetrical white chevron on her face with a spot of blue on her nose, part white collar, white chest and underparts. She has blue and white legs. Fully coloured blue tail which is medium in length. I would say that she is one third white. 2ND MISSES CREATON & WALKER’S CH CRINKLES FORGET ME NOT (79L 21) F 17/4/09Tortoiseshell Long Haired Selkirk Rex. Good shape and size with good boning. Her body is more rectangular than square and she stands on legs that are medium in length on round firm paws. Slightly curved top to a round head. Ears are medium in size, have curly furnishings and are spaced well apart. Eyes are slightly deep set and could be a little larger for perfection. Nose is short broad and straight with a downward slant. Good bite. Well padded whisker pads giving a rectangular impression. Coat is thick and dense and is arranged in loose individual curls. It is very well rexed and well presented. Ruff is full and curly as are the trousers. Tail is thick and medium in length. 3RD MRS J BIENIAS’S ALEJANDRO CE CIMABEU (40 10) F 8/7/09Lilac Tortie Colourpointed who is a little adolescent in shape at the moment. Head is round needing a little more width between ears that are a little tall but are rounded at the tip. Round blue eyes. Nose is short broad and straight. Good bite. Cheeks are full with a firm chin. Coat is short dense and crisp and magnolia white in colour, there is slight surface shading but it is clearing from the roots. Points are lilac broken with shades of cream. All points show some cream. Tail is medium in length and rounded at the tip. AC BRITISH NOVICE KITTEN1ST MISS M SIMPSON’S ALTHALUS PANDARIUS LEGEND (40 3W) M 28/10/09Chocolate Colourpointed and White. He is already compact in shape, well balanced standing on short strong legs. Rounded head with good width between neat and small ears that are round at the tip. Large round eyes of blue. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Cheeks full with good depth to chin. Coat short, dense and a little soft in texture at the moment. Points colour is a warm chocolate. Body is ivory showing slight shading which tones with the points. Face has a symmetrical inverted V which starts on his forehead and does not exceed the inner aperture of his eyes; it extends to cover the nose and whisker pads. Bib, chest, underbody and legs are white with four white feet. Tail is thick and medium in length. 2nd MRS J FIGGINS’S HYSSOPUSS COLONEL MUSTARD (17) M 15/8/09Cream who is a good shape and size for his age. Body is cobby and he stands on short strong legs on round firm paws. Head is round with good width between neat ears that are rounded at the tip. Large round expressive copper eyes. Nose is short, straight and broad with full pink leather. Level bite. Cheeks full with firm chin. Coat is a pale toned cream; it is a little paler at the roots. Coat is dense, short and crisp. He has some faint tabby markings at the moment. Tail is medium in length with rounded tip. 3RD MISS L CONNOR’S GALVICATZ TRIPLE ECHO (22c) F 5/10/09Lilac Tortoiseshell and White baby. She is well grown for her age with good boning. Cobby in shape standing on short legs on round firm paws. Head is round with good width between small rounded ears. Round expressive pale orange eyes. Nose is short broad and straight. Level bite. Full cheeks with firm chin. Coat is short, dense and crisp. It is well patched with lilac, cream and white. Both colours to face with patches of colour on the body and a fully coloured tail also showing both colours. White whisker pads. White collar. White chest, underparts and legs. Tail is in proportion to her body. I would assess that she is just over one third white. AC BRITISH LIMIT NEUTER1ST MRS C DROUET’S GUSELLI MAJORMITTENS (31a) MN 10/5/09Blue and White Bi Colour. He is cobby in type, stands low on the legs standing on short strong legs on round firm paws. Round head with good width between ears which are slightly tall. Round well opened copper eyes. Short and straight broad nose. Level bite. Full cheeks firm chin. Coat is short dense and crisp and is a medium shade of blue and sparkling white. He has a symmetrical white chevron on his face with white collar and white underparts. His legs are white with small patches of blue on all four legs. Fully coloured blue tail which is medium in length. 2ND MRS C WALTERS’S WESTENBACH ELLIS (17) MN 10/5/09Cream who is going through the teenage stage at the moment. Body is rangy and he stands on strong legs on round firm paws. Head round needing a little more width between rounded ears which are a little large. Large round expressive copper eyes. Nose is short, straight and broad with full pink leather. Level bite. Cheeks full with firm chin. Coat is a pale toned cream which is a little cooler in tone near the roots. Coat is dense, short and crisp. He has very slight ghost tabby markings at present. Tail is medium in length with rounded tip.
