THREE COUNTIES CAT SOCIETY - 15 AUGUST 2009 – BRENDA PEARCE

Thank you Ivor and Sheila for the warm welcome to the show – I like your new venue very much and hope it has proved to be a successful move for you. I was sorry to hear that Nancy Rolls was unwell and hope that she is now on the road to recovery. As always a big thank you to the exhibitors for bringing their precious cats for me to enjoy – and I did!!

OPEN CLASSES

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND PREMIER MALE

GPC, EMMENS’S PR JOHPAS JACK SPARROW. (32c) 5.9.07.

Cream Point Siamese. Very handsome and well balanced. Strong even wedge head with large wide based and well flared ears. Straight profile, good firm chin, level bite. Eyes oriental and expressive, of bright cornflower blue. Long muscular body with long strong legs and a long whip tail. Mid cream points, cool in tone, tail just a little darker. Lightly shaded creamy white body – contrast excellent. Lovely coat, beautifully prepared and close. Delightful boy – excellent presentation. Later best Siamese – congratulations.

RGPC, MASON’S PR ROZANDEN RUAIDHRI. (32a) 6.6.08.

Red Point Siamese. Big strong youngster, tall and elegant. Long strong wedge head with large ears, wide at the base and well set. Straight profile, chin lines up but could be a touch deeper. Level bite. Good oriental shape and set to his bright blue eyes. Straight profile, good chin and bite. Very long muscular body, long strong legs, good length whip tail. Bright red/gold points. Lightly shaded warm white body, his coat close and of good texture. Presentation and temperament both excellent.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE GRAND PREMIER FEMALE

GPC, MCALPINE’S PR LYNNOX FRANCESCA. (24b) 17.6.05.

Chocolate Point Siamese. Lovely type and balance to this lady, but she was completely lost in her double pen, and quite tense – perhaps she would feel more secure and cosy in a single pen. Lovely even wedge head with large wide based ears set in line with her wedge. Strong profile, good firm chin, level bite. Dark blue oriental eyes – very expressive. Long firm body with dainty legs and feet. Long whip tail. Rich warm chocolate points, all well matched and complete. Warm ivory body, virtually clear of shading. Coat short, close and of superb texture.

RGPC W/H, 2 DRIMMIE’S PR NUTROSTAR SUGARCANDY. (32/5) 6.5.07.

Red Tabby Point Siamese. A very elegant lady, of good overall type. Mid length, slightly pinched wedge head, her ears of quite good size but require more width and flare. Good straight profile, firm chin, bite just meets. Slightly full eyes of clear mid blue. Firm long body, long slender legs, long whip tail. Excellent bright red tabby points, well defined. Brushed thumb prints. Clear M and single cheek ribbons – hint of a second. Slightly paler leg bars and arm bands. Wide classic tail rings. Body shaded but the contrast still good. Excellent coat texture. Lovely temperament and beautifully presented, but just lacking that extra something which I look for in a Grand.

ORIENTAL RED KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB, DAWE’S BARBECCO OBIWAN. 23.2.09.

I could definitely live with this - what a gorgeous kitten – I nearly sneaked him out of the door!!!! Lovely strong and heavy wedge head, beautifully even with large wide based ears set to follow the lines. Straight profile, deep firm chin, level bite. Mid green oriental eyes, lovely expression. Long well muscled body, well grown and developed for his age. Long slim legs. Long whip tail. Rich bright red coat, sound and of superb texture – a few acceptable tabby markings. Confident little chap, beautifully presented.

ORIENTAL RED NEUTER MALE

BOB only, WHEATLEY’S GR PR YELOPERYL THELEGEND. 27.9.05.

Big strong lad, handsome and elegant. Long wedge head, his ears large and well set – could perhaps be a little more flared. Straight profile, deep chin, level bite. Pale green eyes – very good oriental shape and set. Very long and muscular body – lovely hard feel to him. Long strong legs. Good length tapered tail. Rich red sound coat showing acceptable tabby markings, the length and texture superb. Presentation and temperament both excellent.

TABBY POINT SIAMESE ADULT MALE

CC w/h, 1 BUDDEN’S JOMESE MUMBO JUMBO. (32/1) 6.11.08.

Seal Tabby Point. Just 9 months - I know it’s not his fault that he now has to be judged as an adult, and I would not expect him to look like a fully mature male, but at the moment he still looks just like a big kitten. Strong even wedge head with large wide based ears of excellent set and flare. Near straight profile, good depth of chin, level bite. Good shape and setting to bright blue eyes – held a touch full. Long slender body, long slim legs, long whip tail. Well defined warm seal tabby markings. Brushed thumb prints. Fine M and single cheek ribbons. Paler legs bars and arm bands. Rings for ½ the length of his tail. Very lightly ticked body, his coat short, close and of excellent texture. A real sweetie – needs time to grow up.

BALINESE ADULT FEMALE

CC & BOB, WOODHOUSE’S DORAL IMOGENE. (61e) 22.6.07.

Seal Tortie Point. A very attractive and mature looking lady. Strong mid length wedge head, her ears of good size and well set. Good profile, firm chin, bite meets. Slightly deep set oriental eyes of mid bright blue, perhaps could be a touch more intense. Long firm body, long legs, tail just long enough – well plumed. Warm seal tortie points all well mingled with shades of rich and paler red. Lightly shaded body. Coat of good length and lovely silky texture, lying correctly along her body. Presentation and temperament both excellent.

LILAC POINT SIAMESE KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB, SIBLEY’S ATARIQ FIORI. 25.1.09.

Well grown, strong and handsome. Strong even wedge head with large wide based and well set ears. Good profile, just a small bump on his nose at the moment, firm chin, level bite. Dark vivid blue oriental eyes. Long muscular body, long slender legs, long whip tail. Well matched mid lilac points. Body free of shading, his coat short and of excellent texture. Beautifully presented – lovely temperament.

MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES

AC CHOCOLATE OR LILAC POINT SIAMESE ADULT

1 SINGLE’S SINOPE FERN. (24c) F 24.7.08.

Lilac Point Siamese. Dainty girl – would like her bigger but she is well covered. Even wedge head, her ears large and well set. Tiny dip to profile, firm chin, level bite. Dark blue oriental eyes, held a touch full – much better when in her pen. Long well toned body, long slim legs, long whip tail. Mid lilac points, well matched and of correct pinky grey. Un-shaded magnolia coat of good texture.

2 GRAY’S LYNNOX KASANOVA. (24b) M 23.9.08.

Chocolate Point Siamese. Well grown and developed – of very good overall type and balance but finds it hard to relax. Long slightly pinched wedge head with large wide based and well flared ears. Profile almost straight, good chin and bite. Rather wide eyed and the colour requires considerably more depth. Long and muscular with long legs and tail. Good warm chocolate points, mask not quite complete. Excellent un-shaded ivory coat.

Blue Point Siamese. Lovely looking queen. Strong wedge head with large wide based and well flared ears. Strong profile, firm chin. Bite very marginally under. Dark blue and expressive oriental eyes. Long firm body with long slim legs and a fine whip tail. Points a little dark but well matched. Short close coat showing a little shading.

Seal Point Siamese. Handsome big boy looking resplendent in his double pen. Long wedge head, just marginally fine on the muzzle. Large wide based ears beautifully set. Very good strong profile, firm chin, bite meets. Oriental eyes of good colour – lovely expression. Long muscular body – lovely feel to him. Long strong legs. Balancing whip tail. Dense matching points. Coat shaded – excellent texture and acceptable contrast.

2 MORGAN’S CH ASTRALBLAESE PEGASUS. (24c) M 28.5.06.

Lilac Point Siamese. Another big strong lad. Long wedge head, needs a touch more width to balance. Large ears well set. Straight profile, firm chin, bite meets. Eyes rather full in shape and require a greater depth of blue. Long strong body – hard and muscular. Long strong legs, tapered tail. Darkish lilac points. Un-shaded coat, a touch long but close and well prepared.

AC SIAMESE/BALINESE NEUTER

1 LODWIG’S MAFDET MAFIOSO. (24) MN 4.10.08.

Seal Point Siamese. Stunning youngster – at only 10 months by no means fully mature, but he is well grown and developed for his age. Lovely strength and balance of head. Large ears wide based and beautifully set. Near straight profile, deep firm chin, level bite. Oriental eyes, very expressive, colour could be a touch more intense. Well muscled body, long legs and tail. Dense warm seal brown points all well matched. Lightly shaded warm fawn body. Excellent coat texture.
