Many thanks to Molly Perchard and the committee of the club for their kind invitation to judge at this very friendly show, and thanks also for all the hospitality. My steward was Jonathan Emery, Thank you so much for your hard work and expert handling, of the beautiful exhibits we had today. SEAL POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE.1st &.B.O.B Harris’s MENTOBE MR BRIGHTSIDE (13c1) Male 17.3.09what a lovely start to my day to be greeted by this stunning Seal Boy of lovely Birman Type Just seven months old. His skull is broad and rounded. With medium size ears spaced well apart. Nose medium length with slight dip in profile, nose leather is dark brown. Full cheeks taper to a firm chin, level bite. Excellent deep blue eyes almost round, but not bold. His body is long, well boned and of excellent substance. Medium length thick -set legs, paws short and strong, and bushy tail balances well. His long soft, silky coat was expertly groomed, full ruff around the neck, slightly curled on stomach. Stunning seal brown to all his points which complimented his flowing beautiful clear pale beige coat with a slightly golden hue developing. The pristine white gloves in an even line across the paw, the back of the front paws, the white is slightly untidy but does not go up to the stopper pad just behind the leg. The pristine white socks cover the paw and gauntlets fairly full tapering up the back of the leg to finish just below the hock. The right gauntlet is slightly longer than the left gauntlet. Eyes bright very relaxed and a pleasure to judge today. 2nd Pidgley’s DEENLAY DAYDREAMER (13c1)Male 10.05.09Another very friendly seal point young boy just over five months old. His skull is broad and rounded, good width between his ears. Nose, medium in length with a slight dip in profile, nose leather dark brown. He has full cheeks that taper gently to the chin, level bite. Deep blue eyes almost round but not bold. Body long well boned and of good substance for age. Tail bushy and proportion to the body. Coat condition is soft and silky to touch. His ruff is developing nicely around the neck slightly curled stomach Eyes bright and temperament good. The points on this boy is seal brown complimenting his beautiful body, clear pale beige with a slightly golden hue. Pristine white gloves ending in an even line across the paw and not passing the stopper pad. Pure white socks covering the entire paw and gauntlets, tapering up the back of the leg, with the right gauntlet longer than the left gauntlet, to finish just below the point of the hock. A very gentle seal boy just laid back and enjoyed being judged. SEAL POINT BIRMAN KITTEN FEMALE.1st Ensor’s KITTAH DEIDAEMEIA (13c1) Female 16.6.09 A very pretty young seal point female seventeen weeks of age, so confident of herself. She just wanted to play games with my steward’s pencil. Very good Birman type again. Her skull is broad and rounded. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile. Medium sized ears spaced well apart. Fairly full cheeks taper gently to a firm chin, level bite. I could see she was teething when she was trying to bite my steward’s pencil. Expressive blue eyes almost round but not bold. Excellent body size, well boned and of good substance for age. With proportionate limbs and bushy tail to balance. The coat is soft and silky to touch prepared to perfection. Ruff around the neck is developing nicely, slightly curled stomach. Eyes just sparkle and temperament is so good. All her points are dark brown which compliments her clear pale beige body with a slight hint of golden hue evident. Her seal colour has really developed for the age of this kitten. The front pure white gloves are even across the paw, with the right glove just slightly higher than the left glove. The back of the front gloves are white and tidy. The pure white socks covering the entire paw and gauntlets tapering up the back of the leg to finish just below the point of the hock a Very delightful kitten and happy to be judged. BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE.1st & B.O.B Conway’s URPRITY BARNABY (13c2)Male Neuter 4.2.09A Very Handsome Large Blue Point boy of excellent Birman Type, just over eight months. Skull broad and rounded. Medium length nose with slight dip to the profile. Full cheeks tapering to a firm chin, level bite. Medium size ears spaced well apart. Expressive blue eyes almost round but not bold. Body long, well boned and of good substance Thick-set limbs and paws short and strong. Tail bushy, and proportion to the body Beautifully prepared coat silken in texture, Full ruff around the neck, slightly curled stomach. All his points’ blue-grey, complimenting his super bluish white coat. Nose leather slate-grey. Front gloves, pure white symmetrical ending in an even line across the paw and not passing beyond the angle formed by the paw and leg, and not passing the stopper pad just behind the leg. He has pure white socks covering the entire paw and gauntlets tapering up the back of the leg to finish just below the point of the hock. I just loved this boys outstanding features. Super temperament. 2nd Grierson’s FURRPLAY AUGUSTUS (13c2) male 11.3.09Another strong boy of good Birman type. Skull is broad and rounded. Nose medium length with slight dip in profile. Cheeks full and round tapering to a strong chin. Medium size ears spaced well apart. The eyes are a two-tone blue today, almost round but not bold.. Body, long well-boned and of good substance for age. Thick-set medium limbs, paws short and strong. Tail bushy and in proportion to the body. Coat soft and silken in texture. full ruff around the neck Points blue-grey compliments his body bluish white. Nose leather slate-grey White symmetrical gloves ending in an even line across the paw. The white socks covering the entire paw and gauntlets tapering up the back of the leg to finish just below the point of the hock. I was very disappointed at this point, as this young lad decided to show his teeth and was placed back into his pen. His owner came to see me later that day and told me she also had problems when touching his feet, so has decided to have him neutered hoping this will solve the problem and that he will be back to his very friendly self. So hopefully we will see him back on the show bench. BLUE POINT BIRMAN KITTEN1st Ensor’s KITTAH HECUBA (13c2) Female 16.06.09A very pretty Blue Point young lady 17weeks of age, very confident, just like her litter sister. Her skull is broad and rounded. Medium size ears spaced well apart. Nose medium in length with slight dip in profile. Full cheeks and round tapering to a gentle chin, level bite. Expressive deep blue eyes almost round but not bold. Excellent body size, well boned and of good substance for age, Thick set limbs and paws short. Tail, bushy developing and proportion to the body. She has a very good balance overall. Her coat is long, soft and silky to touch, ruff around the neck is developing nicely, slightly curled stomach. Eyes bright and excellent temperament. All her points are developing being blue-grey in colour, this also compliments her beautiful bluish white long coat to her body. Nose leather slate-grey. All feet markings are pristine white. Front gloves in an even line across the paw, and flicks slightly up the sides of the leg, but not any where near the stopper pad. The back of the front feet white just a fraction untidy. The socks cover almost the entire paw and the gauntlets tapering up the back of the leg to finish with a little flick below the point of the hock. Lovely kitten to judge, such sweet temperament. RED,TORTIE GROUP BIRMAN KITTEN MALE1st & B.O.B Leech’s KYNOBI KREERAKER (13c7) Male Neuter 4.03.09Cream point Birman A very strong handsome young cream point boy just over seven months of age of good Birman Type Skull broad and rounded. Full cheeks taper gently to a firm chin level bit. Medium sized ears are placed well apart. Medium length nose, with gentle in profile. Absolute stunning deep blue eyes almost round but not bold, Body long, well boned and of good substance for age. Thick-set medium limbs paws short and strong. Tail, bushy and proportion to the body. Fabulous coat, soft and silky to touch, Full ruff developing around the neck, curled stomach. The beautiful cream points show off his super off-white body and golden hue. He was groomed to perfection. Pristine white gloves, ending in an even line across the paw, the white socks covering the entire paw and gauntlets tapering up the back of the leg to finish just below the point of the hock Lovely gentle boy and a pleasure to judge. RED TORTIE GROUP BIRMAN KITTEN FEMALE.1st Baxter’s ELMARLAY BABBLING BROOKE (13c10) female 3.2.09A very pretty Lilac Tortie point female, just keen to come out to greet us. Skull broad and round. Ears medium in size and spaced well apart. Cheeks full and round tapering to a strong developed muzzle. level bite. Medium length nose with a slight dip in the profile. Nose leather pinkish outlined to tone with the points. Expressive blue eyes almost round but not bold. Body, long well boned and of good substance. Medium length thick-set limbs and paws short and strong. Tail bushy and proportion to the body. Coat, medium length silken in texture, medium ruff around the neck still developing, All points lilac intermingled with shades of light and dark cream which compliments her body magnolia shading unevenly to pale lilac and some shades of pale cream on the back and sides. Gloves white ending in an even line across the paw slightly lower than required. The white socks covering the paw and gauntlets fairly even tapering up the back of the hock Very attractive young female temperament excellent. TABBY/TORTIE-TABBY POINT BIRMAN KITTEN1st& B.O.B Ensors KITTAH ELECTRA (13c14) Female 23.06.09Lilac Tabby point A beautiful outstanding lilac tabby point kitten over 15 weeks of age. Just a baby of this class, Very relaxed and well balanced, she presented herself as soon the pen door opened, Skull, broad and rounded, with medium placed ears spaced well apart. Cheeks are filling out well, tapering to a gentle chin, and bite appears level though she is teething at the moment, as her bottom front teeth are not visible. Nose medium in length with slight dip in profile. Expressive blue eyes almost round and not bold. Good length of body medium boned and of good substance. Limbs medium length thick-set and paws short and strong. Tail, fairly bushy and in proportion to the body. Excellent grooming to her coat giving a lovely soft, silky texture. Ruff is appearing around her neck, slightly curled stomach. Her points lilac on a beige agouti background is very pale, She is very young and time for development. Making exact definition of her white feet markings were more than difficult, But I believe they are acceptable with the gloves looking generous, and gauntlets look fairly even. But today I was happy to give her the benefit of any doubt, whilst her colouring is still developing. I could have taken her home with me! 2nd Morrissey’s TIMPASMAC MINNIE (13c13) Female 26..03.09Chocolate Tabby Point A very impressive Chocolate Tabby point kitten just over six months .Skull, broad and rounded. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile. Nose leather pinkish outlined to tone with the points. Clearly defined ‘M’ marking on the forehead developing. Cheeks filling out well tapering to a firm chin. Good blue eyes two tone at the moment with light coloured ‘spectacle’ markings round the eyes spotted whisker pads.. clear thumb marks on the medium sized ears set well apart. Body, long well-boned and of good substance for age. Limbs of medium length and thick-set, paws short and strong. Tail bushy, and proportion to the body. Coat soft and silken in texture ruff is evident and still developing around the neck. All her points milk chocolate markings on a light bronze agouti background, complimenting her beautiful ivory body, The legs showed varied size broken rings, and solid on the back of the hind legs above the gauntlets The tail has varied size rings clearly defined ending in a solid coloured tip. Front white gloves ending in an even line across the paw. with the right front paw slightly higher than the left front paw, the back of the front paws are a little untidy with the white travelling towards the stopper pad but not going past. Pure white socks, covering the entire paw, Gauntlets good width tapering up the back of the legs to finish just below the hock. Lovely temperament and laid back. 3rd Skelding’s BOSTIN BEAUTIFUL DREAMER (13c12) Female 17.4.09Blue Tabby Point. Another lovely Blue Tabby kitten of six months of age. Her skull, is broad and rounded, Cheeks developing nicely to a firm chin, and level bite. ‘M’ marking on the forehead, light coloured spectacle markings around her good blue eyes spotted whisker pads.. medium size ears placed well apart showing solid blue thumb marks. Medium length nose, with a slight dip in profile. Nose leather pinkish outlined to tone with the points. Body, long, medium boning and of good substance for her age. Limbs medium length and thick-set. Paws short and strong. Bushy tail and in proportion to the body. Coat soft and silky in texture. Fairly full ruff around her neck slightly curled stomach. The points being blue markings on a light beige agouti background complimenting her body bluish-white. With the exception of her tail which did not display varied size rings ending in a coloured solid tip. The tail was very brindled indeed. I was so sorry to find this, as on first sight she really looked beautiful and rather special. But hopefully being so young, she will develop her beautiful features The white pristine front gloves, ending in an even line across the paw, the back of the front feet nice and tidy not passing the stopper pad just behind the leg. White socks covering the entire paw, and gauntlets matched with just the right gauntlet slightly longer than her left gauntlet to finish just below the point of the hock A gentle lady, with bright blue eyes and excellent temperament. A/C BIRMAN BREEDERS ADULT M/F Francis1st CH NORVIN ROYALPRIDE (13c12) Male 7.06.08Blue Tabby Point, A very attractive blue tabby Birman male, 17months of age Skull Broad and rounded. Full cheeks taper gently to a firm chin, level bite. Medium length nose with slight dip in profile. A clearly defined ‘M’on the forehead, light coloured spectacle markings round his lovely blue eyes, with spotted whisker pads. Medium sized ears are placed well apart and show solid thumb marks, no stripes. Body long well boned and of good substance for his age. Thick- set medium limbs, paws short and strong. Bushy tail, and proportion to the body. Excellent prepared coat soft and silky to touch, fairly full ruff around the neck slightly curled stomach Pure white feet markings. Front gloves ending in an even line across the paw, and not passing beyond the angle formed by the paw and leg. A/C BIRMAN NON-BREEDERS ADULT M/F1st Clowe’s AYLPURRTONA CHERRY BLOSSOM(13c1) Female 1.03.08Seal Point A beautiful strong seal point female of good Birman type.Skull broad and rounded. Nose, medium in length with slight dip in profile. Stunning dark brown neat ears, spaced well apart, Expressive deep blue eyes, almost round but not bold. Cheeks full and round tapering to a strong developed chin. level bite. Body, long well boned and of good substance for age. well proportioned limbs, and bushy tail to balance. Excellent coat condition, soft and silky in texture, full ruff around the neck. All her points’ dark brown, which compliments her clear pale beige body with a slightly golden hue. Nose leather dark seal brown. Front gloves pure white, ending in a line across the paw. The back of the front feet, the white was nice and tidy and not to the stopper pad just behind the leg. Pure white socks cover the entire paw, and gauntlets even tapering up the back of the leg to finish just below the hock. A beautiful stunning seal girl, it was a pleasure to judge her today. Skull broad and rounded, Cheeks full and round tapering to well developed muzzle. Nose medium in length with slight dip in profile nose leather pinkish outlined to tone with the points. Clearly defined ‘M’ marking on the forehead, light coloured spectacle markings round the deep blue eyes. spotted whisker pads. Ears solid with no stripes, medium width and spaced well apart. Long body well boned and of good substance. Limbs medium length and thick-set, paws short and strong. The legs have varied size broken stripes and some rings and solid markings on the hind legs above the gauntlets. Bushy tail and proportion to the body with varied size clearly defined rings ending in a solid coloured tip. Excellent coat condition, soft and silky in texture full ruff around the neck, eyes bright and temperament good. All points seal brown markings on a pale agouti background, which compliments her clear pale beige body with a slight golden hue. White neat front gloves ending in an even line across the paw back white socks cover the entire paw and gauntlets tapering up the back of the leg to finish just below the point of the hock. It was a pleasure to judge the three exhibits of excellent quality. A very handsome female beautifully groomed,showing off her pristine white feet and golden eyes she is a big girl and obviously loves her food. She had lovely rings on her tail her coat was groomed to perfection giving soft silken sheen to her coat. I was pleased to award her a grand today. Beautiful blue-grey coat just like velvet so soft to touch. He loved a cuddle so pleasing to the eye. He deserved his grand today. 2nd Lewis, MC TIGGA (noBob)(short hair-tabby) MN3yrs A very lovely boy, Bright and perky, whilst we spoke to him, he did answer us back. So very friendly He had lovely rings on his tail and coat again groomed to perfection. Just loved his manner. SH AC KITTEN1st Dunstall PIXIES KAZ)) (Blue& White) F 4 months,What an attractive kitten so much like a beautiful snow-shoe with all the attractive features that go with that lovely breed. She just stood out being very confident of herself with excellent temperament. and just loved a cuddle.. Hope to see her in the future. LIVING WITH A DOG, ADULT OR KITTEN1st Hunter’s MC GIZRATTY ALREADY REPORTED UNDER THE GRAND CLASS2nd Amarilli BOOGALOO (LH GOLDEN)4 months boy Very pretty kitten of 4 months of age, with a rich red coat. Enjoying the attention of us judging. And just loved the cuddles. He certainly purred for England. He reminded me of years ago when I used to show a cat of the same colour. Beautifully groomed coat with golden bright eyes, He certainly enjoyed all the attention. I expect he is the king of the household. Look forward to seeing him again. 3rd Scott’s TWIZZLE (slh blue) MN 6yrs old.A lovely blue point boy. With gentle nature. Well grown with deep blue eyes Good weight and groomed to perfection. He reminded me of a Birman, with outstanding features of the breed. I expect he is top cat over the dog in the house. ANY ADULT OVER 7 YEARS1st Lewis’s GMC PEBBLES (Nabob) (short hair-Mackerel tabby) MN 12yrsA super mackerel Tabby point 12yrs old, He just piped my Grand Boy that I placed today. In fact I wished I could have given two 1sts. Because they are both excellent quality. Handsome markings on this boy strong body and beautiful markings on his tail the mackerel colours on his body was a lovely contrast. His coat had been prepared to give him a lovely sheen which was outstanding. Another quality boy. 2nd Hunter’s MC GIZRATTYreported in previous class under the Grand. 3rd Plant’s MC SILVER SAM (Lh-Silver Black Tipped) MN 9yrsBeautiful image of a Chinchilla, strong boned and excellent grooming on him. Good weight stunning eyes. Lovely temperament. What a class!! All three cats deserved a 1st. A.C LOCAL ADULT OR KITTEN.1st Hunter’s MC GIZRATTYreported in previous class under Grand. 2ndMurphy’s MISS MUFFET female. 16weeksSuch a beautiful blue cream tortie. All her points blue intermingled with shades of light and dark cream. Showing off her body off white shading unevenly to pale blue on back and sides. Lovely size for age and sweet temperament. such a poppet to judge. 3rd Lewis CHARLOTTE FN18mnthsTortie Tabby & white. A very attractive female well grown eyes sparkled, and was very happy to be judged she had a loud purr. And obviously loved her food. It is always good to judge Non pedigrees as the owners really enjoy showing them. Because one looks at the quality today I would say every one deserves a medal she was beautifully groomed and just excellent with her temperament.
