Mrs S Heavens - The Cambridgeshire Cat Club & Bedford & District Show - 23rd April 2011

Well done to Sally, Paul and your team for such a well organised show, it was great to see so many cats who despite a very hot day were in general very well behaved.

BRITISH IMPERIAL ADULT MALE

1. I.G.C.C. ROBINSON’S GRCH ADSETSH TITAN-WARRIOR (18) M 08/08/07

Black Silver Tabby. This boy so lives up to his name for size, he is however very gentle natured which is just as well. Huge head with wide top and well set fractionally large ears, large round pale lemon eyes, broad straight nose, full round muzzle with some fawning visible, rounded cheeks, level bite and good chin. Huge frame with very deep chest and short level back held on thick well boned legs. Short coat a mid silver with clear dense black markings, M to face, butterfly, clear spine line and matched oyster, ringed tail with some fawning to end.

2. Res I.G.C.C. DENNY’S GRCH CHESLO FELBRIGG BLUEJOHN (16) M 28/05/08

Blue. This is a stunning looking boy, he was however a touch on the grumpy side, huge thanks as always to Sue Lorton-Hobbs for the fearless way she called his bluff and got him out for me. Well rounded head with wide smooth top and medium sized well set ear, expressive round deep orange eyes, short broad nose with quite a curve when viewed in profile balance well by full cheeks and rounded muzzle, level bite (yes I did see his teeth if only very quickly) and firm chin. Nice size and substance to body with deep chest and sturdy well boned legs. Short dense coat a fraction open and moulting at present, a little unsound in places. Balanced length tail with rounded tip.

BRITISH IMPERIAL ADULT FEMALE

1. I.G.C.C. SHEPHERD’S GRCH TRUBRIT MARMIGHT (21) F 6/04/08

Black Tortoishell. A lovely friendly girl with super bright colours which I love. Apple shaped head with smooth skull between neat well set ears, lovely large round eyes a deep orange colour. Short nose with quite a curve balanced by full cheeks and rounded muzzle, level bite and good chin. Compact shape to frame with short thick well boned limbs and neat firm round paws. Superb coat, short and dense well mingled with vibrant shades of red, all paws show both colours, balanced length tail with rounded tip.

BRITISH BI-COLOUR KITTEN

1. B.O.B. POTTER’S KABENBE IAM HENRY (31f) M 15/11/10

Cream & White Bi-Colour. What a gorgeous kitten and just so kissable, he has been very nicely brought up, I could so easily have put him in my pocket. Well rounded head with smooth skull between well set neat ears with rounded tips. Large round eyes with a deep orange colour developing, short straight nose, small but nicely rounded cheeks and muzzle, level bite and good chin. Compact shape to frame with sturdy boning to short legs with large firm round paws. Short coat with good density and texture, a medium cream showing some ghost spotting I am sure this will fade as he grows. White blaze to face, white to legs, he has a white strip that goes from his left front leg over his shoulder, and one from his left back leg up to his hip, a cream dot to his chest and cream dots to the back of his front legs. Balanced length fully coloured tail. His is a very promising kitten, I look forward to seeing him as he grows.

BRITISH BLUE-CREAM, LILAC, FAWN OR TORTIE NEUTER

1. P.C. B.O.B. JONES’S PR ADATESH BLUE BERRY CRUMBLE (28) FN 07/07/08

Blue-Cream. A big girl, a little on the hissy side but she handled ok. Large round head with smooth top between rather large ears that were a little wide to the base. Round eyes a rich orange colour, short straight nose, fully cheeks, slightly wide square muzzle, level bite and fair chin. Well filled frame with short strong legs and firm round paws. Short coat a little soft and lacking in density at the moment, quite well mingled with cream, she has a cream patch over her right eye and down the right side of her chin. All paws show both colours. Balanced length tail.

BRITISH BLUE, LILAC OR FAWN TORTIE & WHITE NEUTER

B.O.B. TO JONES’S GRPR WELLMAR FELICITY FIREFLY (22a) FN 23/10/04

A large friendly girl with good definition to patches.

BRITISH BI-COLOUR NEUTER

B.O.B. TO MOORE’S GRCH & PR VALPETINA APACH BYDESIGN (31a) MN 01/08/06

It was so difficult to choose between this boy and his brother, but on the day I felt his coat was just a fraction better.

DEVON REX ADULT MALE

1. C.C. BRAMLEY’S WITCHYPUSS LUVSIOTCURLYTOT (33a14) M 30/03/10

White. Lovely gentle nature to this boy. Short wedge with good width and high cheek bones, fairly large ears with width to base they have a slightly high set and cute tufts to tips. Large oval eyes a rich orange colour, short nose with stop, rounded muzzle with fair definition to whisker break, level bite, his chin slopes slightly away. Good sized boy with hard muscular body, good depth to chest, long slim legs with neat oval paws. Short soft coat with slight crimps covering all of his body, very well prepared he was a sparkling white and had a lovely fragrant smell. Long tapering tail generally well covered with short fur, there was however a slight bald patch to the centre near the base, the his tail had a round blunt end.

DEVON REX ADULT FEMALE

1. C.C. B.O.B. BRAMLEY’S LYDFORD SPOOKY PAWZ (33a14) F 31/10/09

White. A lovely girl with superb purr, she was a live wire and did an amazing job of wriggling. Short broad wedge with high cheeks bones, her brow curves back to a flat skull, the ears are wide at the base and have cute tufts to the tips they are more medium than large and could be lower set. Wide set to large oval eyes sloping to outer edge, short nose with definite stop and well defined whisker break with short half whiskers, level bite and good chin. Slender neck, lovely size body, medium length hard and muscular with broad chest carried on slim legs with neat oval paws. Super coat, dense and soft in texture with well formed crimps all over, long well covered tail. She was in general a sparkling white, she did have just the touch of a yellow tinge to her face, so obviously loves her food.

2. PALMER’S JONSCOTT ART DECO (33a36e) F 06/01/10

Tortie Smoke. A touch on the grumpy side but easy enough to handle. Short broad wedge with high cheek bones, large eyes with oval shape and slope to outer edge. Slightly rounded to the brow with flat skull coming between medium sized ears with width to base and tufts to tips, short nose with a definite stop, her whisker break needs more definition, cute short whiskers level bite chin slopes slightly. Lovely sized body with firm muscular feel, elegant neck, slim legs with small oval paws. Her coat is really just a fine rather coarse feeling down, long tapering tail fully covered.

THAI BLUE POINT AND LILAC ADULT

1. I.C. B.O.B. LACEY’S JENANACA KHUFU (34c) M 30/01/05

What a gorgeous boy, he was so funny as at first he did an impression of a possum, but when he was on the table thought he’d better not let the side down, so he gave out a couple of loud howls. Super well developed heart shaped head with breadth across the eyes, these are large and luminous a super green colour. Wide flat forehead between large ears, he had a tendency to move these in all directions so we never quite got an alert expression. Short downward curving nose, well developed muzzle and strong chin. Nice size and substance to strong muscular body, single short glossy coat a medium lilac with a slight brownish tinge in places, there was some silver tipping but the pinky-beige tone wasn’t clear probably due to the hall lighting, medium length tail tapering to rounded tip.

A.O.C. BRITISH SPOTTED ADULT

1. C.C. B.O.B. HIRONS’S HIRONSUADE DR JAZZ (30a) M 10/05/10

Blue Spotted. A delightful natured boy, he can best be described as cute and does have a slightly feminine look, as always the head butting and purring won me over. Well rounded head with smooth skull between medium sized well set ears, expressive round eyes a super orange colour. Short broad nose, small round cheeks and muzzle, level bite and good chin. Nice compact frame, I don’t think he will ever be a huge boy, he has fair boning to his limbs and will have good balance when he fills out. Lovely short coat with good density a touch soft textured at the moment, he has well defined spine lines and side spots the bluish fawn ground colour is clear to his head and neck just a little cold to his body. Balanced length tail with rings and rounded tip.
