Jackie ReedCambridgeshire Cat Club Show28th March 2009Many thanks to Sally and Paul For the invite and hospitality – a low entry this year for this normally very popular Show, in line with so many others in the current climate unfortunately. Thanks also to Pat for her attention and care to our charges. IMPERIAL CLASS AC ORIENTAL ADULT MALE1 (IGC w/h) HAGGAR’S GRCH SUSPIRIA SIMPLY SOLARUS (37r) 21/4/07A well balanced young fawn man with the most endearing of temperaments. Short even wedge with well set ears that ideally could be a little larger, small bump to nose in profile, firm depth of chin and level bite, oriental eyes of good depth of green, tiny pinch evident, level bite, good length of neck – body is of proportionate length with slender legs and neat paws. Tail needs another inch although a good whip. Warm rosy tone to coat - a few ‘highlights’ evident to back and sides otherwise it is of a reasonable soundness and was of good texture, just a fraction long. His tail unfortunately was suffering from quite a large greasy area showing ‘stud tail’ which is always a problem on a young male of this age but I felt detracted overall for the high level of this award. Sorry. IMPERIAL CLASS AC ORIENTAL ADULT FEMALE1 IGC SMITH’S GR CH MYLYNN MISHKA (62 43s) 26/5/06OLH Silver shaded lady who shows fine elegant oriental type, medium wedge with ears of good size that ideally for my preference need a little more width and flare to them, excellent eye shape and set of bright green, almost straight profile and minimal pinch, level bite, long fine neck and toned lengthy body with length of tail to balance, long legs the paws just a little large. She shows a super pattern for her breed with the silver pushed well up the hair shaft considering she has an ideal length of coat, dark hocks and facial tracings, super plume and fronds – her coat was close lying but of very good length and texture. AC ORIENTAL PREMIER NEUTER MALE1 LOWELL’S PR SUSPIRIA WILLIAM BECKFORD (37k) 21/4/07A large gentleman who did not appreciate being disturbed from his mid morning nap he said! Medium wedge with large ears that are set close and held high, tiny dip to profile firm depth of chin and level bite, oriental eyes of a pale green tone – held a touch full until relaxed, lacking in neckline rather and his body although of good length is very rotund which blurs his oriental type, whip tail marginally short. Coat warm in tone but very unsound and patchy with ghost barring and tail rings showing, of very good texture. 2 JAMES & HART PR KRISTOPHE LITTLEWILLOW (29c) 27/1/06Lilac lad who was looking extremely ‘sludgy’ warm brownish grey toned I have to say – would not wrong colour in the Hall lighting but he would be interesting to see in daylight, his nose leather and paw pads being a pinkish grey as well. Medium wedge with quite a pronounced pinch, ears of good size but set close and high, eyes of a good shape of pale green tone, lacks depth to chin and the bite just over long firm body and balancing tail, long fine legs. Coat of very good texture – condition was excellent. ORIENTAL LILAC NEUTER MALE1 (PC and BOB w/h) JAMES & HART PR KRISTOPHE LITTLEWILLOW 27/1/06AC ORIENTAL LH NEUTER1 (PC w/h) ELLIS’ ROUJASMA RED RUFUS (62 43 ds) 22/3/08Rather a shy young man this red silver shaded. Medium wedge with ears of good size but they are set and held forward which unbalances somewhat, bump over brow in profile, eyes a little full in shape and unfortunately yellow in tone (my main reason for w/h), chin and bite ok, well nourished body, length of tail with small defect approx 1” from tip which of course because of the length of coat is not visible. Very heavy legs and large paws.dark red shading extending approx half of hair length to red/silver base, coat prfuse and although of good texture does not really lie close to body. BOB ELLIS’ GR PR MYLYNN MOONSHADOW (62 20) 9/12/06Brown tabby lad who has glorious type and style I was just a bit hesitant as I would like a little more coat by this age although what there was was of a lovely texture. CARAMEL POINT SIAMESE ADULT FEMALE1 CC and BOB SIMPSON’S SHERMESE MERCEDES 9/4/08Elegant and flashy young miss. Long wedge just a little sharp to muzzle and with tiny depression evident. large open based ears set following the lines, oriental vivid blue eyes, tiny pinch, good depth to chin and bit ok.Long neck and fine body with slender legs and neat paws. Dark blue based points showing correct brown tone developing, purple/brown leather and pads evident, tonal shading, excellent coat texture and length. Feeling a little hormonal I think as she was very amorous towards us! TABBY POINT SIAMESE MALE NEUTERConsidered for and awarded BOB HARRINGTON’S PR LOLUJA CASTINGASPELL (32/10) 8/9/07Long and lengthy chap of good type, just needs a little more chin. Points of a warm cream tone and his coat off warm white with minimal shading, points lightly etched. Handled confidently and well. AV RADIUS ADULT1 TITTERALL’S MAMIA MISS DIOR (48e) F 30/10/07Black tortie and white Bi-Colour. Rather sharp wedge with large ears that are set too close to balance, almost straight profile, lacking depth to chin although bite ok, oriental eyes of good green – she appeared to be favouring the right one, fine slender body with whip tail and dainty legs. Glossy almost sound black to sparkling white ration – there were some good rich red breaks but unfortunately she has a degree of white hairs evident in her black areas. Short gleaming coat qualities. AV ADULT1 ARMSTRONG’S CH JOHPAS RED ROUE (32a) 19/10/07This red lad has a text book head against the SOP - with large open based ears forming triangular lines , oriental vivid blue eyes, straight profile, firm chin and level bite, his body of good length and muscle – needing a tad more substance as yet which is probably an adolescent male thing when they come out of ‘puppy fat’ stage. Whip tail and long fine legs. Bright red gold points – the legs paler and virtually unshaded bright white body. His coat long but of good texture. Purred for us non-stop. 2 SMITH’S FIROUSI FORYOUREYESONLY (48 40 d) M 29/4/07Red Point and White Bi colour male who at the moment lacks any masculinity – still looks very adolescent and is indeed at the puppy fat slightly short stage. Short wide wedge with minimal pinch, ears of good size but he tends to bonnet them, almost straight profile, no pinch, good chin and bite, eyes full in shape and pale blue in colour, lacking a little in neckline and his body is of very good weight but needing to ‘pull out’ and gain the hard muscle of a full male, His points show a pleasing brightness, lovely inverted white V to his nose and has sparkling white to 2/3 of his body, pale stockings and saddle of colour just evident. Good texture to slightly long coat. AC ORIENTAL BREEDERS KITTEN1 WILDON’S SUNJADE SILKMOTH (45k) F 15/10/08Lovely cinnamon ticked with a textbook pattern to her – the SOP could be written around it! Short strong wedge with large well set ears she just bonnets a tad when out of the pen, almost straight profile, firm depth to chin and spot on bite, oriental eyes of a pale green tone, firm well developed body and lengthy tail, quite sturdy legs and boots! Warm rich coat - a real ‘rabbit’ pelt to her with treble band ticking which is even and matched from her head through body, legs and tail. Coat fits like a glove. Lovely – as with all true stars very aware of her own importance! AV JUNIOR NEUTER1 LORS & LORD’S DRUIDSWAY BLACK PANTHER (37) MN 7/5/08As the name suggests an Ori Black who is indeed slinky and panther like. Very elegant with long wedge and wide set ears, oriental brilliant green eyes, lacks chin unfortunately which ruins his profile somewhat however his bit is ok, long fine neck and body with long string-like tail and super slim long legs. Short gleaming virtually sound coat – very flashy and eye catching! AV LIMIT NEUTER1 CROWLEY&LAMBERT’S JOHPAS RAFAEL (32fn)MN 9/5/08Well grown handsome apricot lad, Long wedge with roman profile large well set ears balancing length, oriental bright blue eyes, chin falls away, small pinch, bite ok, long neck and lengthy firmly toned body with whip tail, stands tall on elegant legs. Points of a glowing hot tone with a warm white coat ‘dusted’ in apricot sheen. Coat short and gleaming. AV NEUTER1 WILLIAMS & MARSH PATCHESTY IGGLEPIGGLE (41n) MN 8/6/08Caramel classic lad who is suffering a bit of an identity crisis regarding pattern and looks rather effeminate. Neat wedge with bump over brow in profile, ears of reasonable size but needing to be more open to base, oriental eyes of pale green, chin and bite ok, short fine body with whip tail, Shows 1 complete and 2 broken necklaces and a vestige of lines running from head to shoulders however there it stops. Virtually solid along spine and not a hint of ‘butterfly’ or ‘oyster’ evident. His colour is excellent - clearly caramel with warm beige ground colour, broken leg bracelets. Excellent short coat of very good texture.
