CAMEO, PEWTER & (SNOW) SMOKE SOCIETY – 10TH JANUARY, 2010. Woops! MRS. PAT PERKINS - SHOW REPORT

Show manager Pat Parrish and her team are to be congratulated on carrying on with the show despite all the weather difficulties. It was a real team effort, Bella Penning, Sue Moreland the Duty Vet, our stalwart catering team who produce a hot lunch. Two judges could not make it, they were at the extreme ends of the country and were snowed in good and proper. There were some absentees but the bulk of the exhibitors managed to get there bringing some lovely cats and kittens – a super atmosphere with everyone willing to take on whatever needed doing – the Cat Fancy as it should be. A special thanks to Irene Roos she judged her lovely HP classes and then stewarded for me as well as helping at BIS, her help was much appreciated.

AC PERSIAN IMPERIAN GRAND CHAMPION - MALE

IMP. TO PRIESTS UK GR. CH. TREVORRY BOO BOO – (13.4.03)

Mature Golden in excellent show condition, very full well groomed coat, a light golden undercoat with even seal tipping, seal hocks, tail bushy and short, again evenly tipped in seal, full frill framing his head. Broad top of head, small side set ears, well furnished, brow perhaps a tad heavy, short wide nose with open nostrils, firm chin, large round eyes outlined in seal, the colour just starting to fade with age but still a nice aqua green. Solid cobby build, body set 4 square on thick short legs, big feet with lots of feathers – gentle lad to handle.

RES. PRIESTLEYS GR. CH. PANDARUS ULTRAUNIQUE – (29.12.03)

Solid well made Blue, another in lovely show condition, groomed to perfection, very full thick coat a good soft even blue, very short wide tail, full ruff. Strong head, with small feathered ears side set, open expression, big round eyes of a sound orange, wide nose, fair break, wide leather open nostrils, firm chin and fat cheeks. Cobby body set on strong short legs, big feet with lots of feathers – lovely temperament.

IMP TO ROUSES IMP. GR. CH. VILLIERS ANNA MARIE – (19.7.04)

Quality Chinchilla, super very full soft coat groomed to the last hair, white undercoat with the lightest of silver tipping, giving a sparkling effect, full ruff and short wide tail. Wide open balanced expression, rounded top of head, small little ears, side set, big wide open eyes, nicely outlined, good break to nose, leather again well outlined, firm chin, full cheeks. Nicely proportioned and good bone, thick stocky legs and lots of feathers on her feet – a super lass and she knew it!!

RES. PREISTLEYS GR. CH. SHIMBA NIGHTONTHETILES – (14.6.06)

Sweet Black with lovely deep orange eyes, short nose with good break, firm chin, and nice cheeks, rounded top to head, ears small and well furnished. Long silky soft coat of a dense glossy black, full ruff, tail flowing and short, cobby build – very gentle little lady.

GR. MERCHANTS CH. HONEYGEM SUNKISSED HERO – (5.5.08)

Big solid Red Shaded Cameo with excellent boning, well padded, strong thick legs and big tufted feet, breadth to chest and head. Broad rounded top to head, ears well furnished, lovely big expressive eyes of rich copper, nose wide with good stop, open nostrils, firm chin and full cheeks. Lovely coat showing even red shading to body and limbs, distinct creamy white contrasts, well presented boy with a lovely gentle nature.

GR. HALLIDAYS CH. DALLIHAY ARTICGEM – (15.5.08)

Solid Cobby Pewter, body set 4 square on short thick legs, excellent bone and substance. Wide rounded top of head, ears neat and nicely feathered, wide nose with strong stop, brick leather outlined in black, super rich copper eyes, giving her a wide open expression. Coat soft and full, showing a defined Pewter mantle to back and sides over white contrasts, chest, tummy and inner legs white, slight tabby to front legs, wide well furnished tail – lovely lady to handle.

RES. ROUSE CH. STARDROPS YACINTA – (15.8.06)

Very pretty Chinchilla with stunning large eyes of a deep aqua colour, so nice to see such good colour. Medium nose, eyes and nose leather outlined in black. Well set ears, nicely feathered, rounded top to head. Small but compact, short little legs, rounded feet. Coat long and silky, just perhaps needing a touch more undercoat, but tipping even, bushy short tail to balance – gentle little lady.

GR. PR. BAYLISS GR. PR. TOMOSAH FADE TOGREY – (6/6/07)

Solid well made Blue Pewter, cobby shape, strong thick legs, breadth to head and chest. Ears well furnished, short wide nose, dusty blue leather, strong chin, cheeks full, large round orange eyes. Very nice full coat, thick and well groomed, a blue mantle over a white undercoat, silvery white frill, tail bushy and short – gentle lad.

1ST. CC & BOB STEPHENSONS CH. WESTHOLME ROCKNROLL – (9.4.08)

Very full soft well groomed coat on this boy, every hair separated, long frill framing his strong head, tufts to feet, the overall colour slightly pale, would like a tad more depth of red but sound and no tabby markings. Solid strong build, tree trunk legs, broad chest. Wide top of head, small ears, big round copper eyes, lovely to see, firm chin. Tail short and wide – friendly fella.

CREAM ADULT

1ST. CC & BOB HOLMES CH. KAVIKAT MAZAMILLION – (18.6.02)

Very shy boy, well built with strong bone, breadth to top of head, well set ears, medium length nose, fair break, super wide open deep orange eyes, good chin. Coat a pale cream some shading at roots, needing a little more preparation underneath, tail flowing and in balance.

CHINCHILLA ADULT – MALE

1ST. WALLACE VIVALDI DESIGNER LABEL – (7.6.08)

At 18 months this boy had excellent bone and substance, strong thick legs, big feathered feet. Wide rounded top of head, ears small and side set, long silvery furnishings, large wide open eyes, well outlined in black, short nose with good break. Coat soft and full, very well prepared, even tipping, a tad stronger on back, clear feet and hocks, balanced short wide tail – lovely temperament. CHINCHILLA ADULT – FEMALE Nice to see such lovely girls

1ST. & CC ROUSES VILLIERS MAMMA MIA – (3.6.08)

Sweet little lady, another who was groomed to perfection, soft coat with light even tipping, silvery white ear furnishings and frill. Small build but compact, short legs and feathered feet, round top of head, short nose with brick well outlined leather, big expressive aqua eyes, firm chin – very gentle girl.

1ST. & CC. MERCHANTS REMILAKAT SILKENDORIS – (27.4.08)

Strong limbed black Pewter, still a touch teenage in build, width to head, ears well furnished, wide nose, ample break, brick leather outlined in black, big wide open orange eyes again nicely outlined, firm chin. Well groomed coat showing a good black mantle over a white undercoat, slight tabby to front legs, chest, frill and tummy silvery white, tail wide and flowing – very friendly lady.

SHADED SILVER ASSESSMENT – KITTEN

MERIT TO EDKINS VIVALDI BELLEOF THEBALL – (27.4.09)

Very pretty little girl, a little small but compact and in balance. Rounded head, ears starting to drop, lots of furnishings, large round well outlined eyes, the colour coming from centre, firm chin, short nose with red leather. Very soft coat showing even shading over a white undercoat, silvery frill, short fluffy tail – a good example of a Shaded Silver.

1st. ROUSES VILLIERS CLEOPATRA

Sweet chinchilla baby of 17 weeks, lively and alert, rounded top to head with well set feathered ears, huge big round eyes, the colour not yet sorted. Baby soft coat with even tipping, tiny tail.

A super class of youngsters

1ST VAN HEUMENS HIGHSPOT ROCKSYMUSIC

Bright and noisy little Tortie Cameo baby, full of personality, coat still baby fluffy, but showing red to face and slightly on back, nice undercoat. Round top of head, ears still to drop but well furnished, short little nose with good break, large round muddy brown eyes – promising lass.

2ND. RAINBOW-OCKWELLS HERRAFARESIAH CHIAROSCURO

5 month old Cream youngster who ran winner close, she seemed to have 8 legs. Very nice soft coat of an even cream, good bone and substance for age. Width to top of head, ears well feathered, short nose with good stop, big round eyes of a promising dark brown – lively little kitten.

3RD. WALLACE VIVALDI DEVINE FOLLY

Attractive Chinchilla with a nice even tipped coat.

1ST. HUNTER MC GIZRATTY

super 12 year old Blue Tabby boy, who went on to become BIS HP – Long body, well padded, strong high legs, lovely bright eyes and alert expression, head showing nice blue tabby markings on a warm fawn ground, long tail – super temperament.
