Over the next few months we are going to be following the weekly progress of Kira's Kittens - they are a beautiful litter of Bengals born on 30th August 2008 - This first entry covers the exciting first few weeks of the Stud Visit and the pregnancy...

Please read along with Kira's owner Sue as she shares with you the ups, downs and inside outs of being a breeder.

Kira has been to stud!

The first time she went she didnt take, (I think I left it too late into the call) so I took her three weeks later once she was screaming her little head off again..

This time she is definately pregnant.

She should be due on 1st Sept all being well.

Three and a Half Weeks Pregnant!

Kira is eating like its her last meal and is soooo affectionate.. she also 'pinked up' about a week ago, she doesnt look pregnant, but her belly feels 'full'.....

Our other young queen has taken a dislike to her too... im always having to separate their fights - later on they had me eating my words,
as they were both curled up on the couch washing each other...

Four and a Half Weeks Pregnant!

Kira is starting to 'fill out' now..

Kira isn't eating quite as much but still more than the others, she is a lot more clingy too.

I just wish Kira would stop jumping onto door frames.. and then down again..

Five and a Half Weeks Pregnant!

Kira is a lot less active now and is still following me everywhere and getting into everything, but not bombing up the cat tree anymore..

Kira is still wanting lots of food 24/7.

When Kira is laying down. you can feel little balls moving slowly - its really weird.

She is in fab condition so far.. not changed at all other than slower & fatter

Six and a Half Weeks Pregnant!

Only 2 and a bit weeks to go now, she is still eating all the time, I have had to separate her from the other two, she keeps getting picked on and they dive on her throat and then chase her.

I also notice she is hell bent on getting out and also wanting to jump high up onto door frames and window frames, not an easy task when your a blob full of catlings.

Kira is well and truley on house arrest.

I will be sorting her 'boudoir' this weekend.

Seven and a Half Weeks Pregnant!

Pictured right and below is Kira waddle duck!

She is still trying to climb things she shouldnt and is still the big huggle bug, but she is sleeping so much more now.

The other two still try and play with her so she well & truly bats them, she is separated when we are not at home.

"I sit here night after night now watching the little footy team kicking her to death.... she doesn't seem to notice one bit! "

Eight and a Half Weeks Pregnant!

Still a lot of movement from the dotlings, she must be sooo uncomfortable.

Kira is snoozing for pretty much all of each day now and is still trying to reach high places.silly girl can get up but can't get down..

So... with only 3 or 4 days to go...
how many do we think she will have???
