CAPITAL LONGHAIR CAT CLUB SHOW - 9 JANUARY 2010 JUDGES REPORT - MRS CELIA DE MARTINO

My thanks to Sally Tokens and her team for their kind invitation to judge here again at this friendly show. Despite the snow and ice many people and their cats braved the arctic conditions. The atmosphere inside the hall was great Everybody mucked in, stewards helped out judges and judges stewarded for fellow judges, It was great, we had some lovely cats and lots of laughs.

AC NON-SELF PREMIER MALE

1GPC ABBOTT’S PR TAMOSAH FIREFLY.

A gorgeous pewter lad. Well prepared soft silky coat with fairly even black tipping to his sparkling white coat. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, brick leather, round orange eyes, nose and eyes outlined in black, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Large cobby weighty rounded frame, short sturdy legs and fairly short tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

RES GPC WILLIAM’S PR RIASCATZ SIMPLY RED.

A red and white bi colour lad whom I have had the pleasure of judging before. Ran winner close. Excellent top of head, well set ears with furnishings, short broad nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round orange eyes a touch deep set Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short tail. White blaze to forehead, white nose whisker pads and chin, white patch to back and lovely white ruff. Rich red with minimal shading. Coat fairly well prepared but needs more attention in places. Excellent temperament and condition.

WHITE (ORANGE EYED) ADULT MALE

1CC EDIKER’S CH LAZANE CLASSIQUE.

A lovely lad with excellent width between well placed ears, short broad nose with deep stop, pink nose leather, full cheeks, good bite, firm chin and long curly whiskers Round orange eyes which could be bolder for perfection. Large cobby weighty frame, short sturdy legs and full tail. Coat well prepared, soft and silky, sparkling white like the snow outside. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 HUDSON’S GEMKIN AMADEUS.

Another good exhibit with excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short broad nose, pink nose leather, full cheeks, acceptable bite and firm chin. Large cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short tail. Coat soft silky and well groomed but not sparkling white like the winners. Excellent temperament and condition.

1CC & BOB BANG’S LAFREBELLA JOY

An exquisite girl whom I have had the pleasure of judging before. Her coat is always so well prepared, long soft silky, sparkling white and every hair separated. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, pink nose leather, nose leather adequate but for perfection would prefer a tad larger, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short study legs covered in fur, feet feathered, short full tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 ROBERT’S ALASKAN AMBA

A well grown well prepared girl with a soft silky white coat coat. Good width between well placed ears with furnishings, short nose with stop, round orange eyes, full cheeks, acceptable bite, muzzle slightly pinched and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

a gorgeous well grown, well prepared lad with long soft flowing coat showing excellent black tipping on warm deep apricot. Excellent top of head, well set small neat ears with furnishings, short nose with stop, round green eyes, nose and eyes well outlined. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short full tail. Excellent condition, handled well.

1 HAMILTON’S PHATPAWS CLOFORT WEGWOOD.

A gorgeous looking five month old blue bi colour ragdoll babe. Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, well set fairly deep blue eyes slightly oblique in shape, full cheeks, nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and slightly retrousse at tip, good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular body, good weight for age but still a lot more growing to do. Sturdy legs and tail of good length in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky coat of pale beige. Blue tail and blue to ears, top of face and head. White coming from inverted V on forehead covering nose whisker pads chin chest and tummy. All legs white. Excellent temperament and condition.

A friendly blue bicolour rag doll with excellent deep blue eyes, slightly oblique in shape and set well apart. Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished blue ears, rounded at tip, nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and slightly retrousse at end., good bite, full cheeks and firm chin. Strong muscular body, well grown for a female, still a lot more growing to do. Sturdy white legs and blue tail of good length in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky coat of pale beige showing minimal shading . Blue to top of face and head. White coming from inverted V on forehead covering nose whisker pads chin chest and tummy. Excellent temperament and condition.

1 WALL’S CH SHEERBLISS ARABELLA .

A lovely tortie and white exotic girl showing bright tortie colours of black and shades of red vibrant and well distributed. Good width between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, round eyes colour still developing, only 10 months old, still a muddy orange today. Nicely rounded head with full cheeks, short nose with stop, good bite and firm chin. Cobby frame with sturdy legs and fairly short thick tail. Colour and white to all limbs, some white to tummy, white to nose, whisker pads and going down her chest. What an exquisite coat, really dense, plush and stands away, lovely and soft and silky. Excellent temperament and condition.

A gorgeous white babe just over 3 months old and well grown for age. Excellent sparkling white well prepared soft silky long coat. Excellent width between well placed ears, short nose with stop ,pink leather, full cheeks good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold muddy eyes showing promise of a good shade of orange to come. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, full short tail

2 ANGUS’ PALCHINNO PEACHESA

four month old tortie tabby and white girl. A chocolate box girl who ran winner close. Well prepared soft silky coat showing good distribution of black and shades of red to tail, face patches mainly red tabby with black nose leather and a spot of black to top of head. Excellent width between well placed ears, lovely long furnishings, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round muddy eyes, showing promise of good copper colour to come. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and ringed tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

1 MORRIS’ NOYNAROCK BLENGEL AVHAVET.

A blue tabby Norwegian forest lad only just 9 months old so a lot more growing to do. Well grown for age though. Lovely triangular shaped head with large well placed furnished ears, some tufts showing. Long straight nose, brick nose leather, well placed oval eyes, hazel in colour, slightly obliquely set, alert expression. Good bite and firm chin. Good sized strong muscular weighty body, high on legs, back legs slightly higher. Large rounded tufted paws. Tail of medium length, could be longer dark blue tabby markings on beige background. Coat of good texture showing woolly undercoat but lacking in show preparation. Excellent temperament .

A blue colour pointed rag doll with good width and flat plane between well placed furnished blue ears, rounded at tip, nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and slightly retrousse at end. Eyes well set a good shade of blue and slightly oblique in shape, good bite and firm chin Strong muscular body, well grown for 5 months old , . Sturdy blue legs and blue tail of good length in proportion to body. Blue mask developing Well prepared soft silky coat of pale beige showing minimal shading . Excellent temperament and condition.

1 POGEE’S YAHESKA ARCTIC-WARRIOR.

A green eyed white maine coon lad just over the year old. Well prepared coat of good texture the white was really sparkling. A large lad with well set tufted and furnished ears, nose with concave curve at nasal bridge, eyes of pale green, good bite firm chin and square muzzle. Large muscular frame, strong legs and long tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 MALEOD‘S PR MIYODA CHULILLO.

Entered as a brown tabby and white Norwegian forest cat but seems more like a silver tabby and white. Excellent triangular head with large well placed ears, no tufts from ears but furnishings inside. Long fairly straight nose, oval eyes, slightly obliquely set, alert expression, good bite and firm chin. Strong weighty muscular body with long tail, high on legs the back legs being higher than the front. Rounded paws with tufts. Well prepared coat of good texture and showing woolly undercoat, tabby markings visible. Excellent temperament and condition.

1 WHITMARSH’S COONFLAKES TI AMO.

A classic tortie tabby maine coon girl with excellent black markings on warm brown background overlaid with shades of red. Coat of good texture and well prepared. Well placed tufted and furnished ears, nose showing concaven curve at nasal break, good bite firm chin and square muzzle. Muscular frame with sturdy legs, full tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 GALLOWAY’S SHALAMERE MICKEY BLUE EYESA

lovely blue birman lad with well prepared soft silky coat of pale beige showing minimal shading. Lovely blue mask and points. Even gloves to front paws and white socks and gauntlets to hind legs. Well placed ears, furnished, deep blue eyes well set , nose of medium length, good bite and firm chin. Sturdy body, legs of medium length and full tail in proportion to body. Excellent condition, handled well.

1 JOHNSON’S DALTEEMA CHAMPAGNE QUARTZ.

A red point birman lad just over 10 months old. Gave him first as he was the only one in the class and I was feeling generous. He has no back gauntlet and a tail fault otherwise he was of good type, had a well prepared soft silky very pale coat and lovely blue eyes.

1 LLOYD’S MC ARNIE

A well grown black smoke lad with a well prepared short glossy black caoat showing a lovely silvery white undercoat. It had a lovely plush feel to it and was very thick. Lovely green expressive eyes. Excellent condition and temperament.
