CENTRAL LONGHAIRED CAT CLUB SHOW – 23 JANUARY 2010 JUDGES REPORT – MRS CELIA DE MARTINO

My thanks to Marion and the committee for their kind invitation to judge here again. At least the weather was ok not like my last 2 shows, snow and ice. Thank you Margaret Gear for stewarding for me again. Margaret handled the cats with her usual expertise only complaining when we had a weighty one She will just have to get into training for next year! We had a great day, some laughs and lovely exhibits some who were really huge.

AC PERSIAN NON-SELF CHAMPION MALE

GCC COOK’S CH NYKLANI LORENZO MEDICIE

A gorgeous well grown well prepared black and white lad with the wow factor , every hair separated, looked huge but some of it was his coat. The black was glossy and sound down to the roots, the white was sparkling. Lovely white snowshoes, lots of white feathers to his feet, white to nose, one cheek and whisker pads. Excellent width between small neat furnished ears, covered by his fur. Round bold orange eyes, short nose with stop, pink nose leather, full cheeks, acceptable bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded weighty frame, short sturdy legs, covered with fur, fairly short full tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

RES GCC EMERY’S CH SWINGLETREE ANDY PANDY.

A blue colourpoint lad with well prepared soft silky clear coat of pale beige, his lighter beige ruff framing his face. Excellent blue mask and points. Excellent width between well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round blue eyes, could be a touch bolder for perfection. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and medium length full tail in proportion to body. excellent temperament and condition.

IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER FEMALE IMP

GPC PHILLIPS GR CH & GR PR CITOXE ICE MAIDEN

A lovely orange eyed white exotic girl with rounded head showing excellent width between well placed furnished ears, rounded at the tip and set fairly low down in the contours of the head. Short nose with deep stop and pink leather. Full apple cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round well placed eyes, could be bolder. Weighty, cobby rounded frame, sturdy legs with large rounded paws, fairly thick tail of medium length in proportion to body. Well prepared dense sparkling white coat, some guard hairs visible, has fullness and stands away well. Good texture for a white. Excellent temperament and condition.

RES GPC WITHELD EDWARD’S GR CH & GR PR DELAVALE DREAM BABY.

A gorgeous tortie and white girl just over 6 month old but let down today by lack of show preparation, would have withheld cc let alone imperial. Excellent distribution of black and shades of red. White to tummy, white stripe across back and white whisker pads. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin, Lovely round deep orange eyes would prefer bolder. Cobby rounded weighty frame, short stocky legs, short full tail. Excellent temperament.

BLACK ADULT MALE

1CC & BOB WALLACE’S RISINGMOON STORMY NIGHT.

Just an adult and full of promise. Excellent top of head with neat well placed furnished ears covered by his fur, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite, lovely white teeth and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Cobby weighty frame, well grown and mature for age. Short sturdy legs and fairly short tail. Well prepared long glossy, silky coat, sound black to the roots. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 STORRIE’S HERRAFAESIAH ARMARNY.

Another lovely lad with excellent width between well set furnished ears, short nose with stop, nose leather could be larger but nostrils adequate, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and medium length tail in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky coat showing some shading. Excellent temperament and condition.

BLACK ADULT

1CC ANGUS’ PALCHINNO BLACK BESS.

A lovely girl with excellent long furnishings to her well placed ears. Excellent top of head, short broad nose with stop, full cheeks, acceptable bite and firm chin. Round orange eyes a touch deep set. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and short full tail. Well prepared soft silky coat, fairly sound, some shading to flanks. Excellent temperament and condition.

TORTOISESHELL ADULT

1 CC W/H HAYNES OSCARBARA DELILAH.

Good top of head but would prefer more width between ears, open at base with furnishings. Round orange eyes, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite, muzzle pinched and needs chin to balance. Short sturdy legs, a bit long in body, medium length tail in proportion. Good distribution of black and shades of red. Silky glossy coat good preparation to top but more attention needed to tummy. Excellent temperament and condition.

TORTOISESHELL KITTEN

1 & BOB BRAY & GRIGGS CHARBONELLA DOLLYMIXTURE.

An exquisite babe just over 5 months old. Such lovely bold orange eyes for age. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short broad nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite, muzzle slightly pinched and fairly firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs, all feet broken, medium length tail in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky coat, excellent distribution of black and shades of red. Excellent temperament and condition.

BLUE OR LILAC TORTIE AND WHITE NEUTER

1PC & BOB STANAWAY’S RISINGMOON BEYOUNCE.

A gorgeous girl mainly sparkling white, well prepared soft silky coat, a touch harsh to base of spine. Large patch showing blue and cream to base of ears and on one side going over her eye. Excellent top of head, sell placed furnished ears, short broad nose with stop, pink nose leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Cobby rounded frame, short sturdy legs and fairly short tail showing good distribution of blue and cream. Excellent temperament and condition.

PEWTER NEUTER

BOB BAYLISS’ GR PR TAMOSAH FADE TOGREY.

A weighty well prepared blue pewter lad. Coat soft and silky showing a good fairly even blue mantle and full ruff framing his face. Excellent top of head, well placed furnished ears, short nose with stop, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Round fairly bold orange eyes. Cobby rounded frame, short stocky legs, large paws and tail of medium length and in proportion to body. Not too happy about the end of his tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL (INC RED & TABBY) KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB HAMILTON’S PHATPAWS DEVILISH DESIRE.

A huge red colourpointed lad just over 8 months old still growing so will probably be a block and tackle job when he is a mature adult. Excellent width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, nose with gentle dip in profile,retrousse at end, rounded cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Excellent well placed deep blue eyes slightly oblique in shape. Very large muscular body, strong legs and long red tail. Excellent red mask and points developing. Excellent preparation of his very soft silky clear ivory coat. Excellent laid back temperament and condition.

AC COLOURPOINTED OR MITTED RAGDOLL (INC RED & TABBY) KITTEN FEMALE

1 ADAM’S RAGADEE FORGET-ME-NOT.

A blue mitted ragdoll lass just over 7 months old having good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, nose of medium length with gentle dip in profile and retrousse at end. Eyes of mid blue well placed, slightly oblique in shape and set. Rounded cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Sturdy frame, strong legs and long full blue tail. Well prepared soft silky clear ivory coat, blue points developing. White chin and white mittens to front legs, back legs all white. Excellent condition and temperament.

2 HAMILTON’S PHATPAWS DREAM WEAVER.

Another lovely babe a blue colourpointed girl just over 8 months old with well prepared soft silky ivory coat showing minimal shading. Lovely blue mask and point developing. Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, excellent eyes of mid blue slightly oblique in set and shape. Nose showing more of a break than gentle dip in profile. Good bite and could do with a touch more chin to balance. Well grown for age, strong body with sturdy legs, prefer slightly longer tail.Excellent temperament and condition.

AC BI-COLOUR RAGDAOLL (INC RED & TABBY) KITTEN MALE

1 & BOB HAMILTON’S PHATPAWS CLUFORT WEGWOOD

A blue bi colour ragdoll lad nearly 6 months old and so laid back. Well prepared soft silky coat of pale beige, one white spot to back. Blue ears and top of head. White coming from inverted V on forehead covering nose whisker pads chin chest and tummy. Spot of colour above hock on back leg all other legs pure white. Excellent width and flat plane between well placed ears rounded at tip, lovely long furnishings. Nose of medium length with gentle dip in profile, retrousse at tip. Excellent deep blue eyes, oblique in shape and set, good bite and firm chin. Strong well grown body, sturdy legs and tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

2 ASHWORTH’S RAGALYN ZUCCERO.

A lovely well grown, well prepared seal bi-colour ragdoll lad just over 8 months old. Good width and flat plane between well placed furnished ears, rounded at tip, nose of medium length showing gentle dip in profile and retrousse at tip. Good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular frame with sturdy legs and tail in proportion to body. Well prepared soft silky coat of very pale beige showing minimal shading. Seal brown to ears and top of head coming, on the pale side today, the same with the tail more brindled than a rich seal brown, the colour will clear and deepen as he matures. White coming from inverted V on forehead covering nose whisker pads, chin, chest and tummy. All legs white. Excellent temperament and condition.

AC TURKISH VAN NEUTER

BOB TACKLEY’S IMP GR CH &GR PR KLASSYKLOGGS KEHLEBEK.

A gorgeous lass of very good size and weight for a female. Extremely well prepared chalkey white coat of good length and texture. Lovely full white ruff framing her face. Auburn to base of ears, separated by white. Good top of head with well placed ears, furnished and with shell pink inside. Nose showing barely perceptible dip in profile, lovely pink nose leather. Amber eyes well set giving an alert expression. Good bite and firm chin. Strong muscular frame with sturdy legs and rounded paws. Auburn tail of good length and in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.

A gorgeous blue and white exotic lad just over 9 months old with a well prepared dense plush standaway coat. Mainly white with a thick blue tail and bold round orange eyes. Blue to his top of head around the base of his ears and going over the back of his head. Excellent width between well set ears, some furnishings, rounded at the tip and set fairly low in the contours of his head. Short nose with stop, pink nose leather, full cheeks, good bite and firm chin. Lovely long whiskers. Round weighty cobby frame, short sturdy legs with rounded paws, tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition. Would have awarded cc

Large frame with excellent bone structure, short legs with huge paws, full short tail. Excellent temperament and condition.

Strong muscular weighty frame with sturdy legs, white paws and long full tail. Well prepared coat showing good black mackerel tabby markings on warm brown background. Spectacles around eyes, M to forehead, lines coming from outer eyes. Excellent temperament and condition.

A chocolate pointed birman girl, just over 9 months old with well prepared lovely soft silky clear very pale ivory coat. Good warm chocolate mask and points, even white shoes and gauntlets. Well placed chocolate ears, excellent deep blue eyes, good shape and set, nose of medium length, good bite and chin. Lovely feminine expression. Well grown for age, sturdy body with strong legs of medium length, chocolate tail in proportion to body. Excellent temperament and condition.
