Central Longhaired Cat Club Show – 23rd January 2010 Show Report – Mary KalalA very pleasant show which I thoroughly enjoyed and I thank Marion, Sheila and the Club for the kind invitation and warm hospitality. Helen Hardwick very kindly stewarded for me and handled and presented the cats beautifully; thank you Helen for your expertise and very good company and I look forward to the next time. AV SLH Grand Champion Adult Male:1 and IGR CH to WATTS GR CH EMANAN GERONIMO (63) 3.3.02.A charming male, well balanced and handsome with a firm lithe body, legs and tufted paws in proportion, tail tapering and well furnished but could be slightly longer; ears large, wide set and well tufted and furnished, balanced head showing gentle contours, break to profile, rounded muzzle with indentation, good chin and level bite; eyes well set, full almond shape and hazel colour with an excellent expression. Coat silky and well developed, showing lovely rich colouring well ticked in black with a darker dorsal line and tail tip and a bright apricot base-coat, clear pigmentation markings on face, full black heels; excellent condition and presentation. RESERVE to GREEN GR CH KEVERSTONE ROCKNROLLREBEL (64.20) 28.12.06.Another big strong male with a charming temperament, well balanced with a long firm muscular body, legs with large tufted paws in proportion, tail long and flowing; ears large tufted furnished and of excellent set, balanced head with a slight concave curve to nose of uniform width, high cheek bones, excellent broad muzzle with length and depth, firm chin and level bite; eyes large, excellent set and expression and hazel colour. Coat double and well developed with a full ruff and breeches showing a clear classic tabby pattern but he has rather a broad black line down the centre of his lower back at present; excellent condition and beautifully presented, an aristocratic looking male with a ‘lion like’ expression. AC BIRMAN PREMIER NEUTER FEMALE:1 and GR PR to WORMALD IGR CH & GR PR DANLEIGH STARBURST (13c6) 25.4.04.A very pretty female with an excellent expression; firm body, thickset legs with short strong paws and lovely full bushy tail to balance; ears medium and wide set, broad head, dip in profile, full cheeks, muzzle tapers nicely, bite level; eyes almost round and bright vivid blue colour. Coat silky and well developed with a full ruff, points well patched and mingled with warm seal and shades of red, clear warm tone to body, feet markings pristine white, tidy and well matched; excellent condition and beautifully presented. RESERVE to PLANT PR MIDDLEMAY TALLULAH (13c12) 21.3.08.Another very pretty female, well balanced but younger and her head is not quite so broad as the winner’s at present; good firm body, thickset legs and balanced bushy tail; ears of medium size and wide set, slight dip in profile, good cheeks, muzzle tapers, chin slightly shallow, bite level; eyes of excellent size and set and vivid blue colour with a lovely expression. Coat well developed and silky with a full ruff, blue tabby markings on points and rings up the back of her tail, clear cool tone to body colour, feet markings well matched but gloves are a little short but her toes are covered; excellent condition and beautifully presented. Red, Cream or Tortie Point Birman Adult, Male:1 and CC to DAVIES CARRISMOON AUTUMN GLOW (13c5) 9.4.09.A strong young male, just an adult but with a firm well muscled body, thickset legs with short strong paws and balanced bushy tail; ears medium and wide set, broad head, dip and small bump on profile, muzzle tapers, good chin and level bite; Eyes well set and almost round, medium blue colour. Coat silky and well developed with a full ruff, rich red points colour and clear warm tone to body, feet markings are a little short on one glove but all toes are covered, good socks and gauntlets and clear white; excellent condition and presentation. Red, Cream or Tortie Point Birman Adult, Female: 1 CC and BOB to CRADDOCK MIDDLEMAY PORTIA (13c10) 14.4.06.A mature female, graceful and charming with a firm muscular body, thickset legs with short strong paws and excellent bushy tail to balance; ears medium and wide set, broad head, dip in profile, full cheeks, muzzle tapers, chin slightly shallow, bite level; eyes almost round, excellent set and expression and lovely vivid sapphire blue colour. Coat silky and well developed with a very good ruff, points patched with shades of pinkie-lilac and cream and clear magnolia body colour, feet markings tidy and well matched except that one sock and gauntlet is a little shorter than the other; excellent condition and beautifully presented. 2 to BAXTER ELMARLAY BABBLING BROOKE (13c10) 3.2.09.A very pretty young female of good type and balance with a firm body, thickset legs with short strong paws and medium length bushy tail; ears medium and wide set, balanced head, dip in profile, cheeks developing well, muzzle tapers, firm chin and level bite; eyes almost round and sapphire blue colour with an excellent expression. Silky coat developing well with ruff forming, points patched with lilac and shades of cream, feet markings tidy and well matched; excellent condition and beautifully presented. 3 to MADDEN CH PENBERIS DEMELZA (13C5) 6.2.07.A female with a slightly narrower head and eyes slightly closer set; ears medium and well set, head needs to be a little broader for perfection, dip and roman bump on profile, muzzle tapers, chin slightly shallow, bite level; eyes of medium blue. Coat silky and developing well, showing lovely rich red points colouring and warm tone to body, gloves well matched, one sock is shorter than the other, good gauntlets; excellent condition and well presented. Tabby or Tortie-Tabby Point Birman Adult, Male:CC not awarded. 1 to FRANCIS CH NORVIN ROYALPRIDE (13c12) 7.6.08.A sweet natured male with a lovely expression, strong and well balanced but unfortunately he lacks presentation as his coat is full of knots, particularly underneath on his legs and his belly, my main reason for not awarding the certificate today. Ears medium and wide set, broad head, full cheeks, dip in profile, muzzle tapers, good chin and level bite; eyes well set, almost round and excellent vivid sapphire blue colour. Coat silky with a good ruff, dark blue tabby markings on points but they form a ‘hood’ over his head and merge in with the top shading on his body. Tabby or Tortie-Tabby Point Birman Adult, Female:1 CC and BOB to IVINSON MLYWARD LOLA (13c12) 31.3.07.A pretty female with a firm body, legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered, balanced and bushy; ears medium and wide set, broad head, dip in profile, full cheeks, muzzle tapers, good chin and level bite; eyes well set, almost round and vivid blue colour with an excellent expression. Silky coat with a very good ruff, dark blue tabby points and clear cool toned body, feet markings short on gloves but all toes covered, one sock and gauntlet shorter than the other; excellent condition and well presented. 2 to MORRISSEY TIMPASMAC MINNIE (13c13) 26.3.09.A young female of 10 months, well developed and strong for her age with a firm well muscled body, legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered and bushy to balance; ears medium and wide set, balanced head, dip in profile, cheeks developing, muzzle tapers nicely, good chin and level bite; eyes well set, almost round and medium blue colour with a sweet expression. Silky coat, well developed with milk chocolate tabby markings on mask and points, thumbprints on ears, clear ivory body colour, feet markings tidy and well matched; excellent condition and beautifully presented. 3 to BAXTER ELMARLAY COSMIC STARLIGHT (13c13) 29.3.09.A young female, just an adult and she is starting to call; firm lithe body, thickset legs, tail balanced and bushy; ears medium and well set, head a little small at present but not helped that she lacks a ruff at present, dip in profile, cheeks developing, muzzle tapers, good chin and level bite; eyes well set and expressive and excellent deep blue colour; dark chocolate tabby markings on points, clear ivory body, tail pale at present, feet markings tidy and well matched; excellent condition and beautifully presented. 4 to MLYNEK/HAYWARD MLYWARD GYPSYQUEEN (13c11) 3.3.09.A pretty little female of 10 months with a firm lithe body, legs and paws in proportion, tail balanced and bushy; ears of medium side but a little close together, medium length head, dip in profile, cheeks developing, muzzle tapers, chin a little shallow, bite level; eyes well set, almost round and excellent vivid blue. Silky coat showing brindling on her tail at present, seal tabby markings on points and a clear warm tone to body, feet markings short on gloves and socks and the gauntlets are very narrow but good length; excellent condition and beautifully presented. Sorrel Somali Adult Female:1 CC and BOB to BULLIVANT BARANCHRI HATHOR (63a) 21.4.09.A friendly female with a firm lithe body, long legs with oval paws and long tapering tail fully furnished and slightly thick at base; ears large, tufted, furnished and well set, balanced head with a slight break in profile, muzzle rounded and has indentation, good chin and level bite; eyes of full almond shape and hazel colour. Silky coat with ruff and breeches developing but on the short side at present, lovely rich colouring with a rich apricot base well ticked in cinnamon, darker dorsal line and tail tip, full heels, good pigmentation markings on face, some cream on her chin and throat; excellent condition and presentation. AOC Somali (ex Silver) Adult Male:1 and CC to BULLIVANT BARANCHRI HORUS (63e) 21.4.09.A well developed young male, just an adult by 2 days and quite impressive in size; long firm body, long legs with oval tufted paws and long tapered fully furnished tail; large ears tufted, furnished and wide set, broad head showing gentle contours, slight break in profile, rounded muzzle with indentation, good chin and level bite; eyes large, full almond shape and amber colour. Coat silky and developing well with fawn ticking on a warm oatmeal background, good heels; excellent condition and beautifully presented. AOC Somali (ex Silver) Adult Female:1 CC and BOB to BULLIVANT BARANCHRI GALADRIEL (63b) 13.2.09.A well developed young female with a firm lithe body, legs and paws in proportion, tail tapered and fully furnished; ears of excellent size and set, well furnished, balanced head with a slight break to profile, cheeks developing, well rounded muzzle with indentation, good chin and level bite; eyes large, full almond shape and amber colour; good pigmentation markings on face, some cream on her lips and chin. Coat silky and well developed showing lovely rich colouring with a warm apricot base-coat ticked with dark chocolate, darker dorsal line and tail tip; excellent condition and presentation. 2 to TAYLOR ADNIOSH SAFINA (63e) 15.4.09.A lovely young female, just an adult and showing lovely rich colouring with a firm lithe body, legs and tufted paws in proportion, tail long, tapered and bushy; ears large, well furnished and wide set, balanced head, slight break to profile, cheeks developing well, rounded muzzle with indentation, good chin and level bite; eyes large, full almond shape and hazel colour. Silky coat, well developed and warm with fawn ticking on a warm oatmeal base; excellent condition and beautifully presented. AOC Maine Coon Kitten, Female:1 and BOB to MURRAY ISADORYOU BUTTERFLY (64.41ew) 19.7.09.A lovely young female of excellent type and balance, most beautifully presented; long firm well muscled body, strong legs with large tufted paws and long profuse tail Large tufted and well furnished ears of excellent set, balanced head, slight concave curve to profile, good broad muzzle, firm chin and level bite; eyes large, well set, gold colour and excellent expression. Coat developing well with a most attractive pattern showing rich colouring in dark brown classic tabby patched with rich shades of red and pristine white; excellent condition and presentation she definitely has the WOW factor! 2 to HORTON CAROLEMAINE LADYOFNAMRIB (64.41d) 30.7.09.A very pretty female with a firm lithe body, legs and tufted paws in proportion, tail balanced and developing well; ears large, tufted furnished and well set, balanced head with a slight curve to profile, good broad muzzle, firm chin and level bite; eyes well set and expressive and deep gold colour. Silky coat, well developed for age and showing a good tabby pattern but a little solid along her spine-line at present; excellent condition and beautifully presented. 3 to BENT BLACKJACK FHYADEPHIA (64.41ew) 20.6.09.Another lovely female with a long firm body, strong legs with large tufted paws and long profuse tail; large ears tufted, furnished and high set, balanced head with a slight curve to profile, chin slightly shallow but bite level; eyes well set and hazel colour. Silky coat also showing lovely warm colouring with a brown classic tabby pattern patched with rich shades of red and pristine white on chin, bib, under-parts and her feet; excellent condition and well presented. Tabby or Tortie-Tabby Point Birman Neuter, Female:1 PC and BOB to PLANT PR MIDDLEMAY TALLULAH (13c12) 21.3.08.An impressive female showing very good type, size and boning; firm muscular body with strong legs and paws and balanced bushy tail; ears medium and wide set, broad head, full cheeks, dip in profile, muzzle tapers, chin rounds off slightly in profile, bite level; eyes well set, almost round and vivid sapphire blue colour with an excellent expression. Silky coat, well developed with a full ruff, soft blue tabby points and very good body contrast; excellent well matched pristine white feet markings; excellent condition and beautifully presented. AOC Somali (ex Silver) Neuter, Male:1 PC and BOB to STABLES CH & PR MERLIESIN ITSAKINDA MAGIC (63d) 6.3.06.A strong and well developed cat with a firm body, legs and tufted paws in proportion, tail long tapering and well furnished; ears large, cupped, tufted and wide set, balanced head, slight break and small bump on profile, rounded muzzle with indentation, good chin and level bite; eyes large, full almond shape and hazel colour. Silky coat showing darker lilac ticking on a warm mushroom background giving a warm dove grey impression, clear dorsal line and dark tail tip, clear pigmentation markings on his face, some pale cream around his lips and chin, full heels; excellent condition and well presented. Maine Coon Brown/Blue Tabby Neuter, Male: Two beautiful cats present for BOB made it a difficult choice but upon consideration I chose the cat with the broader muzzle, although there is not a lot in it. BOB to BUNCE IGR PR COONTASTIC THE MINSTREL (64.31t) 27.10.05.Impressive cat of excellent type and balance with a long muscular body, strong legs with large tufted paws and long profuse tail; large ears tufted, furnished and well set, balanced head, excellent profile with a slight concave curve to profile and broad deep muzzle with a firm chin and level bite; eyes large, hazel colour, dark rimmed and with an excellent expression. Coat silky and double with a full ruff and breeches, showing a warm coloured clear classic tabby pattern patched with pristine white; excellent condition and most beautifully presented. Maine Coon Brown/Blue Tabby Neuter, Female:1 and PC to HARDWICK RUTTERKIN TUMBLEWEED TESS (64.31t) 27.5.08.A pretty female, well developed and strong with a firm well muscled body, legs and tufted paws in proportion and balanced flowing tail; large tufted and well set ears, head lacks ruff and needs to be slightly more broad for perfection, curve to profile, good broad muzzle firm chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and green colour. Coat silky and double, well developed apart from her ruff and showing a brown classic tabby pattern patched with white; excellent condition and well presented. AC Bi-Colour Ragdoll Neuter, Female:BOB to ASHWORTH UK GR CH & UK IGR PR EMERISLE DIAMANTE (66.31) 2.3.00.A lovely mature female with a wonderful expression in her dark blue eyes and looking great for her veteran years; firm well muscled body, strong legs with tufted paws and long bushy tail; ears of excellent size and set, balanced head, dip in profile, full cheeks, rounded muzzle, firm chin and level bite; eyes large and well set. Silky coat showing warm seal patched with pristine white with a balanced inverted V on her face, the white continuing down her bib, front, under-parts to her back feet; excellent condition and beautifully presented. 1 and PC to FLETCHER RAGAMEWS MOTOWN MAGIC (66.31) 16.4.09.A pretty young female, well developed for age with a firm lithe body, legs and paws in proportion, tail long, tapered and quite bushy; ears medium and wide set, broad head, dip and retrousse tip to profile, rounded muzzle, good chin and level bite; eyes large, well set and medium blue colour. Silky coat developing but lacking ruff at present; balanced white inverted V, chin, bib and under-parts; excellent condition and well presented. AV SLH Breeders Adult:1 to HILL UK GR CH MIDDLEMAY LILYTHEPINK (13c4) 3.4.04.A lovely female with a beautifully presented coat, soft pink-lilac points and a clear magnolia body, excellent coat length and texture; medium sized ears wide set, broad balanced head, eye colour vivid blue and with a sweet expression, she was later my choice from a list of 18 cats for BIS SLH Adult, congratulations to a worthy winner. 2 to BULLIVANT BARANCHRI GALADRIEL (63b).3 to BAXTER ELMARLAY BABBLING BROOKE (13c10) 3.2.09.AV SLH Visitors Adult:1 to GREEN GR CH KEVERSTONE ROCKNROLLREBEL (64.20) 28.12.06.2 to MURRAY GR CH TASSARE BOBBY DAZZLER (64.41aw) 26.5.07.A big strong male who was most beautifully presented and showing a wonderful full silky coat; ears quite large, beautifully tufted and furnished and well set, head a little short, high cheeks, muzzle broad, good chin and level bite, he has a touch of tarnish on his muzzle at present; eyes large, expressive, dark rimmed and hazel colour. Long firm well muscled body, strong legs with large tufted paws, tail balanced and quite profuse; excellent condition. 3 to IVINSON MLYWARD LOLA (13c12) 31.3.07.AC Norwegian Forest Adult:1 to GRANT VANAHEIM RHAEDRA (67.22a) 21.1.09.A lovely female of good type and balance with an excellent full double coat, blue tabby patched with cream and white; excellent condition and well presented. 2 to MORRIS NOYNAROCK BLAENGEL AVHAVET (67.20a) 9.4.09.A big blue tabby male who preferred his pen and was a bit tense but handled well; well balanced, good type and very good coat length and texture. 3 to HALL NORSKMAGI WHISPER (67.31ets) 24.11.08.AC Birman Kitten:1 to DELANEY DEENLAY SEULETUNIQUE (13c2) 13.8.09.A stunning female with deep blue eyes, excellent expression, well developed, balanced and of excellent type; lovely silky well developed coat, feet markings tidy and pristine white. The only Birman kitten present but what a beauty, I believe she went on to win BIS SLH Kitten – congratulation!
