ORIENTAL CAT ASSOCIATION SHOW SATURDAY JUNE 19TH 2010 Judge: Charis White

IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION ADULT MALE

IGCC – TARBOX’ IMP GR CH TIJANMEEK MCLAREN – Apricot 23/08/07

Elegant muscular body with long slim legs and oval paws. Tail balances to body. Good triangular wedge with ears well set with good top between. Oriental shaped eyes are of an olive green, slanting towards his nose. Fairly straight profile, level jaws – no bottom teeth – and firm chin. His coat is short and fine, lying close to the body; the even clear apricot shade just pales a little at the roots. He has some faint tabby markings on the extremities. Lovely temperament.

RES. IGCC – CASSAR-SIMMONDS’ GR CR FIORDILISO INFIDELITY – Havana 15/01/09

Another elegant male with a long firm body with good muscle tone, long slim legs with oval paws and a long tapered tail which balances well to his body. Good wedge with well set ears of good shape following the lines. Pale green Oriental shaped eyes, well set and slanting towards a nose which has a straight profile. Level bite and firm chin. His coat is fine and fairly short but just looking a little open on the day. It is of a rich slightly dark chestnut brown, sound to the roots and even in shade, just a slight drift of scurf in places. Good show temperament.

FEMALE SMITH’S IMP GR CH MYLYNN MISHKA – Black Silver Shaded Longhair 26/05/06

Quite a large muscular female – she is just a little broad in the body for the perfect balance but it does not detract from her feminine look. Good weight, long slim legs with good paws. Long tapered tail. Medium triangular wedge with good width between her ears – she just tends to prick them forward at times. They were better when she relaxed. Fairly straight profile, slight whisker pinch, level bite and fairly firm chin. She has good expression to green Oriental shaped eyes. Her coat lies along her body, showing the bone structure – it could be longer along her sides but is better down her centre back and her tail is well plumed. Good colours of black shading on the surface of clear pale silver under-colour – she just has some slight tarnishing on her front legs and paws. Her body is free of tabby markings – she just has some on head and legs. Sweet girl.

ORIENTAL CINNAMON KITTEN, FEMALE 1ST,

BOB – TARBOX’ TIJANMEEK CINNARIO 17/02/10

A neat baby with a firm slim body, long slim legs and oval paws. Long fine tapered tail balances well for length to her body. Lovely triangular wedge of good proportions with super ear shape and set. Eyes were a better shape when she relaxed – the green developing well. Straight profile, level bite with a slight muzzle pinch. Chin lines up. Her coat is short and fine, it has a slightly cooler deeper shade than the other kitten in the class but it is even and sound. Lovely temperament. When I judged this kitten in the morning, I did not feel the protrusion on her sternum but later, when she was rolling around upside down in her pen, there was a definite hook where the sternum ends. A real pity because otherwise, she is lovely.

2ND - JAMES HART & JAMES’ SOLARUS ALMOST ERNARICA 11/10/09

She could be bigger for 8 months but she is reasonably muscular with a long body and balance to legs and paws. Long tapered tail has a fixed deviation – almost as if it is slightly twisted. Good triangular wedge with well set ears, wide at the bases. Green eyes are ori in shape but just a little straight set. Nose has a very slight dip in profile. Level bite and firm chin. Her coat is a little long but it is fine and close lying. It has a lovely rich warm cinnamon brown shade to it, even and sound, with just a few faint tabby markings in places. Good temperament.

Good wedge with well set ears, wide at the bases and following the lines. Good green eyes are Oriental in shape and set. Good profile and level bite, chin just steps back a fraction. Lovely short fine coat lies close to her body, well prepared and in excellent conditions. The sound black is mingled and patched with varying shades of red. Well shown, and she did well.

ORIENTAL BLUE NEUTER, MALE

PC, BOB – HATCHETT’S TIROLENA MAGIC JASPER 13/04/08

Large muscular male with medium wedge, long legs, oval paws and balanced tail of good shape. Ears are large and wide at the bases – they could just do with more width between for perfection. Eyes are of correct green , just a fraction full in shape. Fairly straight profile, level bite, slight muzzle pinch and slightly shallow chin. Short fine coat in good condition lies close to his body – the colour is a sound, even deep shade of blue. Sweet temperament. Worthy of his extra prize!

ORIENTAL LONGHAIR NEUTER, MALE

PC, BOB – BAX’ MYLYNN MAHRAJH – Black Silver Shaded 08/05/09

Large long elegant male with a muscular firm, slightly broad, body of excellent weight and he stands on long legs with neat oval paws, well tufted. Long tapered tail balances well. Super triangular wedge with large well set ears following the lines and good top of head between. Slightly deep set eyes are just a fraction flat along the top line. The colour is green. Good profile and level bite. He is not yet mature and the coat is still developing in length – it lies close to the body and shows the bone structure. The under-colour is clear bright silver. The black shading is quite heavy and there is some superficial pattern and dark shading down the dorsal area. Some markings on his head, legs and tail. Lovely condition and temperament.

AV MAIDEN KITTEN

1ST FLETCHER’S MAZPAHS MUSTANG SALLY – Havana female 29/11/09

2ND McCULLOCH’S NUTROSTAR BLUE MOON – Blue female 14/01/10

I think she wanted to be somewhere else today!

2ND BAKER’S PR SOLARUS MISTOFFELEES – Apricot male 11/07/07

Large well grown male – he has a medium triangular wedge and although the ears are correct for shape and set they need to be larger and wider set to balance to his head and overall appearance. Green eyes slant towards his nose. Fairly straight profile, level bite and slightly shallow chin. Short fine coat of a pleasing even sound shade of apricot.

She has white on all legs and paws, with colour patches on front legs and pads and colour down her back legs, hocks and onto her back feet. She has some white patches on her back in the colour, and one area of white runs up from her leg over her back above her tail. The colours are diffused in places but there is good evidence of ticking and she has the tabby markings on her head and legs and tail.
