*THE **CHESTER** & **NORTH WALES** CAT CLUB SHOW --14.8.2010* Mrs Ann IvinsonThank you to Christine Titterington and Peter Collin for my invitation to judge at this friendly and busy Show. I want to thank Sylvia Webb for her efficient and helpful support as my Steward. *RED CREAM & TORTIE POINT KITTEN MALE. *1. BOB. SMITH'S BAYGAZER BEDAZZLED. 13c5. M. 7.4.10. A well developed friendly Red Point lad of 4 months showing good Birman type. Good underlying bone structure to his head, with gently rounded head top; medium sized ears, well furnished, fitting well into his head shape; round cheeks developing well and tapering to a broad muzzle; chin recedes a little; level bite; medium length nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a good shade of blue. Body long of good weight and substance for his age; medium thickset legs, strong short paws; a balanced bushy tail. Coat beautifully prepared, long, soft, and silky, of a cream shade; some slight shading on hindquarters; ruff developing; curls on abdomen; points of a vibrant rich orange-red to his ears; his developing mask is paler; rich red on nose; a more delicate shade spreading across his cheeks; legs very pale; bushy tail a vibrant rich red; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock. He has such a pleasant personality. He was a pleasure to judge *TABBY/ TORTIE- TABB Y POINT BIRMAN KITTEN MALE. *1. BOB. WILCOX'S DALTEEMA JACK FROST. 13c14. M. 17.1.10.This 8 month old Lilac Tabby Point lad shows very good Birman type. Substantial boning to his head structure, with nicely rounded head top; medium sized ears, well furnished; balanced broad round cheeks, tapering to a good muzzle; firm chin, level bite; medium length nose with slight dip in profile; his almost round eyes are of a deep blue shade. Long body developing well and of good weight and substance; medium thickset legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat beautifully prepared, full, soft, and long, of off-white magnolia; ruff developing; curls on abdomen; tabby points of lilac with pinkish hue to a pale beige agouti background; ears outlined with lilac, thumbprints visible; a diamond shaped mask spreading across the nose to his cheeks, with a well defined tabby pattern in lilac. 'M' on forehead; spectacles around eyes; butterfly on whisker pads, with pale spots; points on legs pale; lilac shade to bands; his bushy tail was of a pale beige-cream shade with a dusting of lilac visible; several rings also visible; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to hock; lilac shade above hocks. He has such a friendly outward going personality. He was shown in very good condition. * * *TABBY/TORTIE TABBY POINT BIRMAN KITTEN FEMALE.*1. WILSON'S LACHMERE ROGUE STORME. 13c11. F. 16.4.10.A balanced little Seal Tabby Point girl of 4 months with good Birman type. Good boning to head structure, with rounded head top; medium sized ears; baby round cheeks developing, tapering to a broad muzzle; firm chin, level bite, medium sized nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a deep shade of blue. Medium sized long body still needing further development, of good weight; medium thickset legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat, still needing further fullness, long, soft, and silky; guard hairs still visible on back; coat colour beige with a very faint golden hue visible on shoulders; ruff beginning to develop; curls on abdomen; points of a good shade of seal brown tabby markings developing well against a brown agouti background; on ears thumbprints visible; a developing diamond shaped mask; colour on nose dark seal, paler on cheeks; 'M' on forehead; pale spectacles; butterfly and spots on whisker pads; points on legs a paler shade, with seal brown bands visible; a deeper shade of seal brown to her tail, with rings clearly visible; white gloves; colour dips a little on left paw on outer toe; no colour visible between toes; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets symmetrical and a little on the short side, rounded to below the hock; seal brown on both back legs. She was an alert and friendly lady who enjoyed her time with us. She was shown in good condition. *AC BRITISH CHAMPION MALE.*GR.CH. to WILD'S CH. BLUERAIN BLACK SAMBUCA. 15. M. 5.7.08.This 2yr old Black boy, showing good British type, has a very friendly and outgoing personality. Round head with good breadth and depth; neat ears; cheeks well developed to behind the muzzle line; firm chin, level bite, short broad nose; round eyes of a golden colour. Solid cobby shaped body of good weight and substance; broad chest; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat jet black in shade, sound to roots, a little soft in texture but with good density. He was moulting a little today. He was a lovely lad who handled well and was shown in good condition. RES.GR.CH. FIGGINS'S CH. DIXYLAND BILLY BUNTER. 40.5. M. 9.4.08.A handsome mature Red Colourpointed boy of over 2yr. showing good British type. Round head with good breadth and depth; neat ears; mature cheeks well rounded to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of pale blue. Balanced cobby body of good weight and muscular tone; broad chest; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short and dense of a cream colour with some red shading on his back. Unfortunately his coat condition let him down today as it was quite tufted, especially on his hindquarters, and he was moulting. Vibrant red points to his ears, mask, legs, and tail. He did run the winner very closely. A shy lad who handled well. *BLACK SILVER TABBY ADULT MALE. *1. CC. BOB. HARRISON'S LEONITARA PRINCE-CHARMING. 18. M. 24.3.09.What an apt name for this Black Silver Tabby lad of over 1yr. showing good British type! He just walked out of his pen on to the trolley and was so easy to judge. A well developed round head with good breadth and depth; neat ears; cheeks maturing well to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round green eyes. Balanced cobby body; broad chest; well boned short legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short, dense, and firm; a clear classical black tabby pattern to a silver ground colour; thumbprints on ears; 'M' on forehead; spectacles round his eyes; butterfly on shoulders; clear spine lines; oysters symmetrical; well ringed tail; spots on paws and abdomen. Shown in good condition and behaved like a fine prince! 2. LEONARD'S CH. SARGENTA SILVER ANDREAS. 18. M. 29,5,09.This Black Silver Tabby lad of over 1yr. was not looking too happy today. I feel the heat in the hall may have affected him as later in the day he was moved to a cooler area. Thus it was quite difficult to fully assess him. We managed to get him out for a short while but clearly he needed to be returned to his pen. Round head; neat ears; cheeks rounded to a tense muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; his round eyes were closed most of the time. Good weight to his cobby body; short well boned legs, rounded paws; balanced tail A classical black silver tabby pattern to his head and body; oysters not fully complete; ringed tail. He was a very nervous lad today. *BLACK SILVER TABBY ADULT FFEMALE* .1. CC. BEST'S LEONITARA SWEETHEART. 18. F. 27.5.08.A lovely Black Silver Tabby girl of over 2yr. showing good British type. Round head; neat ears; cheeks developed well to muzzle line; level bite, firm chin, short broad nose; round eyes of good green shade. Balanced cobby body of good weight and muscular tone; broad chest; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short, dense, and firm, moulting today, showing a clear black classical tabby pattern to a silver ground colour which was slightly brindled in places. Thumbprints on ears; 'M' on forehead; spectacles around the eyes; butterfly on shoulders; spine lines; symmetrical full oysters; rings on tail; spots on paws and abdomen. A very charming young lady who was shown in good condition and handled well. Congratulations to her owner/breeder as I believe she was made up to Champion today -- a well deserved win! 2. WESTERMAN'S SARGENTA SILVER AIDA. 18. F. 23.7.09.A very nervous young lady of just over 1yr. who was quite small for her age. Round head; ears open at the base; cheeks needing further breadth development; fair chin, level bite, short broad nose; round green eyes. Small in body; short fine boned legs, neat paws; tail short and out of balance to body size. Coat short, dense, and firm; clear classical black tabby pattern to silver ground colour; thumbprints on ears; 'M' on forehead; spectacles around eyes; butterfly on shoulders; black spine lines; symmetrical and complete oysters; spots on paws and abdomen; some rings on tail. A sweet little girl who just needs to develop more. *AOC SILVER TABBY ADULT FEMALE.*1. CC. BOB. ROBINSON'S LEONITARA AUTUM ENCHANTRESS. 18e. F. 23.5.08.A well grown Tortie Silver Tabby girl of over 1yr. showing good British type. Round head; neat ears; cheeks developing well to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of a good copper shade. A developing cobby body; she stands a little tall on her well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short and dense on sides of body, a little longer on spine line; clear black classical tabby pattern to silver ground colour which was slightly brindled in places; dense patches of light and dark red visible on spine and sides of body. A gentle girl who handled well and who was shown in good condition. *AC COLOURPOINTED NEUTER MALE.*BOB. McCOLL'S PR. BEAUNOUVEAU SIGMA OCTANTIS. 40.4. MN. 5.6.09.This well grown and mature Lilac Colourpointed boy of just over 1yr., showing good British type and balance, handled very well and was shown in very good condition. 1. PC. WARDLE'S GR. PR. ADATESH BLUE SNOWMAN. 40.2. MN. 23.2.08.A very solid and mature looking Blue Colourpointed boy showing good British type. Round head with good breadth and depth; neat ears; cheeks rounded to muzzle line; level bite, firm chin, short broad nose; round eyes of pale blue. Large cobby shaped body of good weight and substance; very well boned short legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short, dense, and firm of glacial white with blue shading on back and hindquarters; points of blue to ears, mask, legs, and tail. This lad has a wonderful personality and was shown in good condition. 2. McCOLL'S BEAUNOUVEAU RIGEL CAPELLA. 40.4. MN. 5.6.09.A well grown Lilac Colourpointed boy of just over 1yr. showing good British type. Round head; neat ears; cheeks developing to muzzle line; level bite, short broad nose, firm chin; round eyes of a pale blue. Developing cobby body of good weight; short well boned legs, neat paws; balanced tail. Coat short, dense, and firm of magnolia white, with lilac shading on hindquarters; mask of cool toned lilac - in the hall lighting - just lacking the pinkish hue; He was shown in good condition and was easy to handle. *AC BIRMAN ADULT.*1. KEEPING'S CH. BAYGAZER McTAV'S SON. 13c2. M. 23.6.09 .It is hard to believe this well grown and friendly Blue Point lad, who shows good Birman type, is only just over 1yr. old! Very good underlying bone structure to his broad head with well rounded head top; medium ears, well furnished; full broad round cheeks tapering to a well developed broad muzzle; firm chin, level bite, medium length nose with slight in profile, plus a very small bump; almost round eyes of a good blue shade. A solid, and weighty, long body; thickset medium length legs, short strong paws; a balanced bushy tail; A beautifully prepared full and soft long coat of a cool toned off-white, with some shading on back and hindquarters; full ruff; curls on abdomen; points of a pleasant shade of blue-grey to his ears; full diamond shaped mask spreading across his nose to his cheeks; a paler shade to his legs and tail; white gloves, right glove slightly scolloped; white socks; gauntlets even and rounded to below the hock. This lad has a wonderful temperament. He just lay happily on the trolley and purred non-stop! He was shown in very good condition 2. MILLER'S CH. FUSHOULU SHOUXING. 13c3. F. 5.12.07.A very good sized Chocolate Point lady of nearly 3yr. showing good Birman type. Solid boning to an underlying head structure, with well rounded head top; medium sized ears, well furnished; full broad and round cheeks tapering to a broad muzzle; firm chin; level bite; medium sized nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a deep blue. Long body of good weight and substance; medium thickset legs, strong short paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat full, long, soft, and silky of ivory white; full ruff and curls on abdomen; points of a pleasant shade of milk chocolate to the ears; full diamond shaped mask, with colour spreading across broad cheeks; paler shade to her legs and bushy tail; white gloves, colour dips slightly on each leg; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock. A well presented and friendly girl. 3. BAILEY'S CH. NICADAEMUS DANSE DEFEU. 13c5. M. 23.6.09.Still a young Red Point lad of just over 1yr. He shows good Birman type -- however he just needs more time to develop. Good boning to his head, with rounded head top; medium sized ears; round cheeks tapering to a broad muzzle; firm chin; level bite; medium sized nose with slight dip in profile; his almost round eyes are a good shade of blue. Long body needing to fill out more; of medium weight; well boned, medium size legs, short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat, well prepared, long, silky, and soft, of pale cream; ruff needing more fullness; curls on abdomen; a vibrant rich orange-red to his points on his ears; mask developing well, with colour spreading across his cheeks; paler shade on legs; he has a wonderful orange-red bushy tail; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock. He was not very happy today -- I think the heat may have affected him. *AC BIRMAN NEUTER.*1. WORMALD'S IGR. CH. & IGR.PR. DANLEIGH STARBURST. 13c6. FN. 25.4.04.A magnificent mature 6yr. old Seal Tortie lady showing very good Birman type. Broad and mature head, with good underlying bone structure, with rounded head top; medium sized ears, well furnished; full broad cheeks tapering to a well developed broad muzzle; firm chin; level bite; medium sized nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of a good shade of blue given her a rather serious expression! Large long body of good boning and substance; medium length thickset legs and strong short paws; balanced bushy tail. Coat full, long, soft, silky, of beige, beautifully prepared; full ruff, curls on abdomen; points well defined with colour of seal brown mingled with light and dark cream; point on ears marbled with colour; full diamond shaped mask spreading across her face from her nose to her cheeks, all colours intermingled; pale cream on whisker pads; nose has a cream spot mingled with finely painted cream and red spreading to her forehead; dark seal around her eyes; all shades visible on legs, and very well mingled on her full bushy tail; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock. She was a pleasure to handle and was shown in excellent condition. 2. WILSON'S PR. LACHMERE EDWARDO. 13c11. M. 21.9.09.A large Seal Tabby Point lad well grown for nearly 1yr. showing good Birman type. Good underlying bone structure to head, with rounded head top; medium sized ears; full cheeks tapering to a broad muzzle; level bite; firm chin; medium length nose with slight dip in profile; a good shade of blue to his almost round eyes. A long body of good weight; medium sized thickset legs, with short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. Full long, silky, and soft coat of beige, with some shading on shoulders and hindquarters; points of a pleasing shade of seal brown to a pale brown agouti background; thumbprints on ears; full mask spreading across his face; 'M' on forehead; spectacles around eyes; butterfly and clear seal spots on whisker pads; good markings on his legs with clear rings; seal bushy tail with rings visible; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets even and rounded to below the hock, surrounded by seal brown. He was an alert lad who handled well, and was shown in good condition. 3. BRIGILIADORI & ROBSON'S UK. & IMP. GR.CH. SHWCHINTHE PELAGRINA. 13c4. FN. 16.4.02.A gentle Lilac Point lady of 8yr. showing good Birman type. Good underlying bone structure to head, with gently rounded head top; medium sized ears, well furnished; mature cheeks tapering to a broad muzzle; level bite; firm chin; medium sized nose with slight dip in profile; almost round eyes of blue giving her a sweet expression. Medium size long body of good weight, with medium thickset legs, and short strong paws; balanced bushy tail. A very well prepared full and soft silky coat of off-white magnolia; full ruff; curls on abdomen -- a scar indicated that she had recently been neutered; points of a lovely soft shade of lilac, with pinkish hue clearly visible; points on ears; lilac shade to full mask and paler on legs; colour slightly faded on her bushy tail; white gloves; white socks; gauntlets rounded to below the hock. She handled well and was shown in very good condition. __
