NORMA FARNSWORTH CHOCOLATE POINTED SIAMESE CAT CLUB 13TH.MARCH 2010

Thank you to Mavis and her Committee for the invitation to judge at this most enjoyable show. The day always runs smoothly when John Roberts is in charge of refreshments, thank you John for keeping us supplied with tea and coffee. An excellent lunch provide by the Committee kept the wolf from the door. Many thanks to my steward who was a tower of strength throughout the day.

BLUE POINT KITTEN FEMALE:

1.BOB.PAYNE’S GENETTA LITTLE BUTTERCUP 26.7.09

A fine boned kitten of good overall type. Long head with pinch to muzzle and good width between large ears. Almost straight profile, level bite, chin falls back slightly. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with clear, bright blue colour. Slender neckline with a slightly pronounced manubrium which the Duty Vet confirmed was due to her adolescent development. Long, stylish body, slender legs and long whip tail. Good blue points colour and some toning shading on a coat of excellent length and texture.

CINNAMON POINT ADULT MALE:

1.CC.BOB. RIDGEWAY’S HARTZIE BLAZEOF GLORY 5.6.09

Just an adult and of excellent growth. Medium length wedge with balancing width between well placed ears which could be a fraction larger for perfection. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Good head carriage and a along muscular body of good overall type with slim legs and long whip tail. Excellent cinnamon points and a clear coat which was short and close lying. Good to see a cinnamon in competition.

TABBY POINT KITTEN FEMALE:

1.BOB. SIMCOX’S ADNIOAM MAGIC-CHARM(32/1) 18.7.09

Of good type overall with a balanced head with good width between large well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite, small pinch to muzzle and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Elegant head carriage and long firm body of stylish type with slim legs and well ringed whip tail. Well defined thumb prints, M on brow, cheek ribbons and leg bars and bracelets. Slight toning shading on a short, smooth coat.

2.PAYNE’S TREEDANCER COUNTESS DAISY(32t4) 2.8.09.

Though she was entered as a lilac tortie tabby I’m not convinced. I didn’t wrong colour her as I was not sure quite what she will turn out to be and I feel one should be certain when taking such draconian action. Well grown kitten with large ears set a fraction high. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with deep blue colour. Long well muscled body, slim legs and long, well ringed whip tail. Some tortie mingling on mask and ears. Close lying coat of excellent texture.

TORTIE POINT ADULT:

1 CC.BOB.BAUGHAN’S FLUTTERBY KISS-ME-QUICK(32b3) 14.4.09

An elegant queen who, when seen in repose, had an arrow straight head and beautifully placed large ears. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and superior expression. Elegant head carriage and long svelte body of excellent style and type with slender legs and long whip tail. Warm chocolate points all well mingled with shades of red with a distinctive blaze on the face. Short, close lying coat of excellent texture.

CHOCOLATE POINT NON BREEDER’S ADULT:

1.NEWSON’S MAFDET FANCY NANCY 8.6.08

Well grown female of excellent overall type. Well balanced straight wedge with well placed large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper. Long, muscular body, slim legs and a whip tail which needs an inch. Warm chocolate points and slight shading on a short close lying coat.

2.BAUGHAN’S MAFDET MAIKO 18.4.09

Stylish queen with good top of head and large ears. Pinch to muzzle, Almost straight profile, untidy bite due to loss of teeth and good chin. Oriental eye shape, slightly straight set with colour which needs to be quite a bit deeper. Long firm body, slim legs and whiptail. Warm chocolate points, incomplete on the mask and a clear ivory coat of excellent length and texture.

CHOCOLATE POINT SIAMESE BREEDER’S KITTEN MALE:

1.GREEN’S BELROO KINDAMAGIC 17.11.09

Confident kitten of stylish type. Excellent top of head and large ears. Almost straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape, marginally straight set and clear blue colour which was difficult to assess as he was facing the window and bright sunlight. Fragile neckline and firm little body with dainty legs and whip tail with the tiniest kink at the extreme end. Rich chocolate points colour and an ivory coat which was short and close lying.

BREED 32 KITTEN:

1.REED’S HELSBELS CHUCHOTEZ-LE(32a) F 11.9.09

If cats had a hallmark this one would be stamped ‘Johpas’. Absolutely breathtaking and a dead ringer for her sire. Wonderful strength of head with excellent width between large ears and straight lines to the muzzle. Roman profile, level bite and firm chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and dreary expression. Elegant head carriage and long body of excellent growth and type with slim legs and whip tail. Good red points and a clear coat which was short smooth and close lying. What a cracker!

BREED 32 BREEDER’S NEUTER:

This was a dream class - made in heaven. Three exhibits of such outstanding quality are not often encountered with each of them deserving of first place in their own right. I hope no-one is disgruntled with my final decision and assure you I would have loved to give them all 1st.

This elegant youngster is enjoying a, well deserved stellar career and was looking unbeatable on the day. He is now becoming more mature and looking absolutely splendid. Elegant and stylish with excellent balance. Straight head with balancing width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Stylish type overall with elegant legs and long whip tail. Bright red points colour and a warm white coat of excellent length and texture.

2.POUND’S GR.PR.JOMESE THEJOKER(32fn) 26.7.04

For sheer style and presence this boy cannot be denied. Of outstanding growth and type with wonderful head carriage he commands attention. Straight, strong balanced head with excellent width between large ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and superior expression. Stylish head carriage and long body of excellent growth and type and long whip tail. Good apricot points colour and slight toning shading on a short, smooth coat. Shown in outstanding condition.

X2 MEE’S KINGSHAVEN ACEOFHEARTS(32fn) 17.8.06

At more than three years old he can hardly be described as the ‘new kid on the block’ but he has, certainly, upset the apple cart. Nothing exaggerated but beautifully balanced overall. Straight wedge head with straight lines to the muzzle and excellent width between large ears. Straight profile, untidy bite due to loss of teeth and firm chin. Excellent eye shape and set with deep blue colour and enigmatic expression. Good head carriage and a long muscular body of excellent type with slim legs and long whip tail. Clear apricot points colour and some slight toning shading on the back of a coat which was short, smooth and close lying.
