SHROPSHIRE CAT CLUB24 January 2009Report of Mrs Chris BamfordI was asked to judge at the last moment as Sally Tokens did not make it to the show on the day due to the snow and ice. Terri White stewarded for me in the afternoon. She was a great help with the huge semi longhairs. AC Persian Self Maiden Adult, Male:1. BRAY & GRIGGS’ KASHIMA JAK FROST. (70 2) 24/04/08.Blue Eyed White Exotic of nice type with a good shape to his body, heavy bone and a tail length in proportion. He had a well rounded head with neat ears set wide apart, a broad snub nose, round pale blue eyes that were a little darker towards the middle, a broad level bite, fat cheeks and a strong chin. His coat was quite plush with the exception of his back where he lacked undercoat. However his coat was a clean white and nice and soft. 2. HOLDEN’S SHIMBA SEABISCUIT. (3) 23/02/04.Blue with a good cobby shape to his body, strong bone and a short tail. Round head with neat ears, broad nose with a tiny nose leather, round deep copper eyes, level bite, round cheeks and a good chin. His long mid blue soft coat was very unsound and still had traces of powder in it. AC Persian Tabby Adult, Male:1. HILL-QUICK’S ELLAQUIN KODA KODIAK. (8) 01/01/08.Brown Tabby who is only a youngster but with lovely type. Very compact cobby to his body, excellent bone and a short full tail. Lovely well rounded head with neat ears set well apart, short broad nose with a good break, lovely big brick red nose leather, large round orange eyes, fat cheeks and a strong chin. He had a wide level bite. Full coat with clear black classic markings and a coppery brown undercoat, richer in colour on his back and head. His face showed a clear “m” and nice lines from his eyes, clear thumbprints on his ears, clear spine lines with a large butterfly across his shoulders and good oyster shapes on his sides. He had some necklaces on his chest, a well ringed tail and good barring on his legs. The tummy spots were lost in his coat. Lovely temperament. 2. VAUGHAN’S CH TWEENTOWN TALISMAN. (7) 19/04/07.Well grown Silver Tabby who lacked Persian head type. He has a nice cobby shape to his body, strong bone and a short tail. His head is well rounded with fairly neat ears set well apart. He is slightly heavy browed. Round orange eyes. Broad nose that needs a better stop. Slightly undershot bite with the top teeth concave. Fat cheeks and a good depth of chin. Brick red nose leather. Full coat, soft and well prepared but with some staining on his bib. He had a lovely silver undercoat and a full silver frill. The markings on his body were very poor and it was hard to make out with any real clarity a spine line, butterfly or oysters. However, he had a nice “m” on his forehead, clear tracings on his head, rings to his tail and good bars on his legs. I could just make out a couple of necklaces but his tummy spots weren’t there. AC Persian Maiden Neuter:1. SIGNEY’S CH YANKIDOODLE TIGER LILLY. (10) 14/09/05.Chinchilla female of very good type but she was not too happy being handled on the day. COX’S SSAFASEC DAGWOOD BUMSTEAD. (5) 21/06/07.Cream male with well balanced head type but his body is a touch adolescent in shape at the moment. He has very good bone and a tail length in proportion.
