THE COLOURPOINT CAT CLUB – SATURDAY, 8TH JANUARY, 2011

My thanks go to Linda, Kay and the committee of the Colourpoint for their kind invitation to judge. Thanks also to Stephanie Haynes for her care and attention both to the exhibits and me.

A.C. NON-SELF CHAMPION FEMALE GRAND CLASS.

1 GR Barber Ch. Sasharmey Gotit Fauntit Stunning tortie point.

Wonderful type. Eye shape and size good. Fabulous eye colour, lovely deep blue, exceptional for her age, 7yrs plus. Full coat groomed to the last hair. Points and mask displaying all required colours. Grand body conformation supported by short thick chunky legs. Worthy winner of the Grand Certificate. Congratulations.

RGR. Smith Ch. Bessjet Tigerlily

Lovely tortie with exceptional type and wonderful eyes for size shape and colour. Full coat, groomed to perfection, perhaps a little too much red. All paws broken in colour. Lovely Lass with Owl-like features and the most appealing expression. Unlucky to come up against the tortie-point.

I was indeed sorry to have to withhold the award on this lovely exhibit but she was let down by preparation. She had stains under her eyes and badly stained front paws. I removed a knot from under her chin which at first I thought was a lump. Lovely lady with excellent type. Bite slightly undershot. Full coat displaying seasonal shading, making body coat appear dark. Points and mask good. Today a lazy eye was apparent.

Chocolate Tortie point, of good type, eyes good for size Shape and colour. Mask and points good. Lack of knowledge let the preparation down, however, having had a chat with the novice owner I am sure that grooming will improve. Good bodyweight and conformation

AC COLOURPOINTED EXOTIC KITTEN 14wks-6mths

1 Fawcett Assoluta Gianni Schicchi

Cream colourpointed exotic. Good head for type, ears rather large and open at the moment. Bold round eyes of good colour. Bite acceptable. Teething. Short broad nose, full cheeks, strong muzzle and strong chin. Coat colour and texture good. Points and mask well defined. Body muscular and good shape.

1 BOB Fawcett Assoluta Da Tempeste

Seal Pointed so rich in colour on ears and mask that she could be mistaken for a chocolate. This little lady has the lot. Beautiful mask, eyes to die for. Points excellent as is the body coat dense, plush, soft in texture, standing away from body. Short thick strong legs. Lovely exhibit.

AC COLOURPOINTED EXOTIC KITTEN 6months-9months

1 Lewis Trouillord Flambouyant

Lovely lad with huge muscular body, very mature for 7months plus, difficult to believe that he is still a kitten. Short thick neck. Broad deep chest. Good type with large round full eyes, of good colour, set well apart. M on forehead. Tabby markings on mask. Points good. Thumb prints on ears. Full coat, presented to perfection. Good body conformation.

Red Point with really red points, mask and tail. Body coat apricot white and presented to perfection. Excellent type with bold round eyes of good colour. Grand bodyweight and conformation. Chunky legs supporting a cobby body. I understand he was made up today, congratulations to the owners and the breeder. He is a fortunate lad to still be with us due to tireless nursing and devotion, well done.

Lovely Red Point. Excellent mask and points on ears. Outstanding eyes for size shape and colour. Grand type, face full of expression, just adorable. Full coat, groomed to the last hair. Apricot white in colour. Good bodyweight and conformation. Chunky body supported by thick, chunky legs.

Creampoint with the lot. Absolutely adorable, expression to die for. Superb type, enormous round, owl-like eyes of great colour. Snub nose, full cheeks, firm muzzle and strong chin. Level bite. Mask, ears and tail points good. Full beautifully presented coat of creamy white. Cobby body on short fat legs. ‘My take home of the day’. Little beauty.

Stunning red with a wealth of rich red coat beautifully prepared. Huge Boy of very good type. Eye colour to ‘die for’, size and shape good. Grand bodyweight and conformation

2 Pepperell Pr. Adsetlo Lady Louisana

Seal Tortie Tabby of lovely proportions. Colours defined on mask, ear points, paws and tail. Some tabby marking visible. Eyes really lovely blue and of good shape and size. Bodyweight good. Cobby body supported by thick chunky legs.
