NORMA FARNSWORTH COVENTRY & LEICESTER CAT CLUB 27th FEBRUARY 2010

Many thanks to Mark and his Committee for the invitation to judge and the abundant hospitality and welcome. Some lovely cats to judge and an excellent steward in Richard Barlow who handled the cats with care and affection and was the soul of discretion. Thank you, Richard.

AC.SIAMESE/BALINESE IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER MALE;

IMP.GR.PR.POUND’S GR.PR,JOMESE THE JOKER(32fn) 26.6.04

A glowing example of type and colour. Beautifully composed he showed himself to perfection. Balanced wedge of good length with excellent width between large ears. Straight profile, some teeth missing but bite appears to be level and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and enigmatic expression. Regal head carriage and outstanding type overall with a long muscular body, slender legs and whip tail. Good apricot points colour and some toning shading on the back of a short, smooth, close lying coat.

1.CC.BOB.HALL’S FURRYFACE BURLINGTON BERTIE 26.12.08

Young male of excellent type. Beautifully balanced wedge with straight lines to muzzle, good top of head and large, well placed ears. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour and dreary expression. Beautifully grown with well defined neckline and long, stylish body with dainty legs and long whip tail. Shown in outstanding condition with excellent coat quality, lacking a little in contrast at present but having warmth.

2.ELLIS’ MEILLAND MR.FINLEY 2.3.07

I don’t think this date of birth is correct as I remember this kitten from the SCA show last year where I admired him a lot. He is still a very attractive youngster but he had a couple of drawbacks on the day. He is still turning his left eye in on occasion and he is brindled on the mask. Good type overall with a straight wedge head and good width between large, well placed ears. Good profile, scissored bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper. Good type overall with a long svelte body, slim legs and whip tail. Warm seal points and a coat of good length and texture showing good contrast.

3.GIBBON’S CH.RICHDALE LONE RANGER 22.7.07

Mature male with a medium length head showing a pronounced pinch to the muzzle. Well placed ears held a fraction high, dip in profile, level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with deep blue colour. Long firm body, slender legs and a tail which needs an extra inch. Very dark seal points and a cream coat, a little long on the back, providing quite startling contrast. Outstanding temperament.

1.CC.ARMETT’S MAZPAHS TIGERLILY 5.3.08

Stylish female with a medium length wedge and large, well placed ears. Almost straight profile, pinch to muzzle, level bite, chin falls back a fraction. Slightly straight set eyes of oriental shape and clear blue colour which needs to be deeper for perfection. Good head carriage and long, svelte body of good muscle tone with slender legs and whip tail. Dark seal points and an excellent short, close coat showing excellent contrast. Beautifully presented,

2.ROWE’S FOXYPAWS MELISANDE 20.4.09

Short wedge with large well placed ears. Almost straight profile, pinch to muzzle, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with bright mid blue colour. Long firm body of stylish type with slim legs and good length tail which was slightly thick at the root. Warm seal points and a shaded coat of good length and texture.

CHOCOLATE POINT MALE ADULT:

1.CC.BOB. HALL’S MARIOLIS TARTUFI(IC) 8.1.08

Huge gentleman of outstanding growth and type. Strong head with straight lines to muzzle and balancing width between large ears which were slightly bonneted on occasion. Straight profile, level bite and firm chin. Slightly straight set eyes of oriental shape and deep blue colour. Proud head carriage and a firm, stylish body of excellent type, slim legs and long whip tail. Warm chocolate points colour and a some shading on a coat which fitted like velvet glove.

1.BOB.HALL’S FURRYFACE RASPUTIN 4.7.09

Hard to believe this exhibit is a mere seven months old, he is beautifully grown and in outstanding condition. Excellent top of head with large well placed ears, Straight wedge with good profile level bite and good chin. Oriental eye shape and set with clear blue colour which could be deeper for perfection. Well defined neckline and proud head carriage with a long muscular body, dainty legs and long whip tail. Dark seal points and some shading on a slightly long coat of excellent texture.

TABBY POINT KITTEN FEMALE:

1.BOB. ATKINSON’S WINNOTHDALE JIVE TALKIN’(32/1) 30.6.09

Very stylish and confident. Excellent type with a good length head and excellent width between large ears. Straight profile, excellent bite and firm chin. Slightly full eyes of oriental shape, deep blue colour and superior expression. Elegant neckline and firm body of stylish type with dainty legs and long whip tail with rings showing the full length. All tabby markings well defined with double cheek ribbons, M on brow, thumb prints and leg bars and bracelets. Some shading on a coat of excellent length and texture.

2.TONKINSON’S TENAJ HERMIONE GRAINGER(32/1) 13.11.09

Tiny kitten with good top of head and large well placed ears. Small bump on nose at present, level bite, chin could be deeper. Straight set eyes of good basic shape and set with clear blue colour which needs to be deeper. Fragile neckline, firm little body, tiny legs and long well ringed whip tail. Tabby markings good for age and a clear coat of excellent texture.

3.TONKINSON’S LUNA LOVEGOOD(32/2) 6.11.09

Another pocket sized exhibit who handled the proceedings with great confidence. Straight wedge with large ears held a fraction high. Straight profile, level bite and good chin. Slightly full eyes of good basic shape and set with colour which needs to be deeper. Firm body, slim legs and well ringed, string like tail. M on brow and faint leg bars and bracelets. Clear kitten coat.
