COVENTRY AND LEICESTER CAT CLUB SHOW – 27.2.10 Mrs Sally Tokens

I would like to thank Mark and the team for asking me to judge at their show. I had a very enjoyable day and would like to thank Mark Pearman for travelling with me and stewarding for the day.

AC BIRMAN CHAMPION MALE;

 GR CC Whitby GR CH FELONIE SUCETTE PLAYBOY

chocolate tabby lad who was almost three years old and looking really good today with a full coat and wonderful markings. Well positioned ears of a medium size. Cheeks and muzzle nice and full. Eyes almost round and showing a lovely blue colour although he is reluctant to show them off fully. Medium length nose with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Clear soft body coat which was free from any shading. Very good chocolate tabby markings with a well marked m to the forehead and lines across the cheeks. Strong markings to the legs and good rings to a full tail. Front left marking reaches the stopper pad but does not go past. Gloves well matched. Left sock just a smidge higher. Gauntlets broad and even in length.

RES GR CC; Bailey GR CH NICADEMUS ROMANY MAGIC

blue lad of just over two years old and showing lovely bone and weight. Nicely positioned ears of a medium size. Cheeks full and a well formed muzzle. Medium length nose with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Nice blue colouring to almost round eyes. Clear body coat which has a silken texture and bearing a small amount of undercoat. Tail reaching the shoulders and slightly lighter in colour today with all the rest of the points well matched in the depth of colour. Scalloped gloves which were a touch low but even. Socks well marked. Gauntlets equal in length and breadth.

 AC BIRMAN CHAMPION FEMALE;

GR CC; Ensor GR CH KITTAH THALIA

blue girl with plenty of substance and coming up to five years old. Good ears which are well set. Cheeks nice and full. Muzzle of a good width. Profile having a slight dip and medium in length. Well shaped eyes of a very good blue which was sound and even. Level bite. A minimal amount of shading to the muzzle. Clear body coat which was soft to touch and very well prepared. Scalloped gloves which were equally marked. Socks a little low but level. Gauntlets broad and even in length. Tail in proportion to the body length and very nicely furnished. Pleasing female.

 RES GR CC WITHHELD 2 Attley CH SYRALETTE AMETHYST

lilac female who is nearly two years old and I was sorry to have to withhold but I felt at this age I would have preferred her larger in size and a more impressive cat. Medium bone with substance. Cheeks were fairly full but I would have liked them fuller for balance. Profile with a slight dip and a bump to the nose. Well shaped eyes of a medium blue colouring. Very clear body coat which was lacking in undercoat but soft to touch. Front left marking reaches the stopper pad but does not go past. Gloves symmetrically marked. Left sock just a smidge higher. Equally matched gauntlets. Tail very lightly covered and in proportion to the body length. Pinkish grey lilac points all fairly well matched in colour. Unfortunately not ready for the reserve grand today.

RED SELF ADULT;

 BOB Morris GR CH COUNTRYGIRL GRAPEVINE

not yet two years old and two words to describe him, stunning and magnificent. The coat was groomed down to the last hair. Very full with a superb undercoat. Rich red in colour and sound and even all over right down to the roots. Large ruff to frame the face. For a working lad the time and effort spent on the preparation was second to none. Tiny ears which are set low on the side of the head. Skull well rounded. Cheeks lovely and full. Bold eyes of a very good copper. Short broad nose with a lovely break and good size leather and nostrils. Short cobby body set low on the legs and the coat touched the floor. Short full brush. A well deserved best of breed.

AC BI COLOUR RAGDOLL ADULT MALE;

 CC WITHHELD 1 Jones GROOVICATS FUTURE LEGEND

thirteen months old and a seal tabby bi colour who today is just not looking balanced and seems to be going through the adolescent stage and this was my reason for withholding. Ears well positioned of a medium size and they slightly tilt forward. Cheeks fairly full and just a tiny bit pinched in the muzzle. Well shaped eyes and just a medium blue in colour. Gentle dip in profile. Level bite. Excellent strength of bone and substance. Flat plane to the top of the head. Lacking in coat today which did not help soft in texture with a minimal amount of undercoat. Full white collar and a white patch to the back. Symmetrically marked inverted v to the face. Very good tabby markings with white to the limbs. Tail lightly furnished and balances with the body showing the odd ring.

 BOB Jones UK & IMP GR CH SILKIESTARLOG RAPHAEL

 seal bi colour lad of nearly six years old. Such an impressive boy. Wonderful strong bone and very good weight. A real gentle giant with presence. Full white collar and a patch to his back. Symmetrically marked inverted V to the face. Medium size ears which slightly tilt forward and are well set. Very good cheeks and a well formed muzzle. Medium length nose with a gentle dip in profile. Level bite. Eyes with a slightly oblique shape and a very good blue colouring for his age. Flat plane to the top of the head. Coat long and full and groomed to perfection. Soft to touch with some undercoat present. White to the limbs. Ruff to frame the face. A real stunner.

AC BI COLOUR RAGDOLL ADULT FEMALE;

1 CC Adams RAGADEE TIRAMISU

seal girl not yet two years old. Excellent bone and weight. Ears well positioned and slightly tilt forward of a good size. Lovely width to the cheeks and a well formed muzzle. Eyes of a nice shape and medium blue colouring. Lovely profile with a gentle dip. Level bite. Flat plane to the top of the head. White to the collar and a white patch on the back. Coat quite dark in colour and paler to the roots, very full with a super undercoat and silken texture. Tail well furnished and reaching the shoulders. White to the legs and a white symmetrically marked inverted v to the face. A very pleasing girl.

2 Mitchell VALLEYCAT HEAVENSENT

blue bi colour coming up to four years old. Again having superb bone and very good weight. A very sturdy female. Symmetrically marked inverted v to the face and white to the legs with a small white patch to the nape of the neck. Coat a little short in length today and lacking in undercoat but having a very good silken texture. Soft pale beige body coat. Tail a touch short in length and lightly furnished. Well positioned ears which slightly tilt forward. Cheeks nice and full. Flat plane. Just a tiny bit pinched in the muzzle at present. Medium blue colouring to the eyes which were slightly oblique in shape. Level bite. This girl would look so much more impressive when she has more coat.

3 Pearson JAZZABELLA SAPPHIRE

 seal girl of nine months old. Has very good substance and nice bone I would have preferred her a touch larger in size. Well set ears which are slightly tilting forward and of a good size. Flat plane to the top of head. Cheeks fairly full just a little pinched in the muzzle. Eyes of a good shape a little pale blue in colour especially still being quite young. Level bite. Coat soft in texture and still quite short in length. Symmetrically marked inverted v to the face. White to the limbs and white along the back. Tail lightly covered and reaching the shoulders. Very good seal colouring.

 CHOCOLATE OR LILAC BIRMAN NEUTER MALE;

1 PC Brown PR DOLEVITA MONTAGUE

coming up to five years old. Very good bone and adequate weight. Medium size ears which are well set. Cheeks of a good width. Muzzle nicely formed. Eyes having an almost round shape and very good blue colouring. Slight dip in profile. Level bite. Very good pinkish grey lilac points which were well matched. Coat of a very good length and soft texture with a clear body coat. A nice lad who does not show himself off to his best. Gloves well matched. Socks evenly marked. Gauntlets broad and even in length. Lightly covered tail which balances with the body.

2 Brotherton DEENLAY SHWEDAGON

only ten months old and a very nice lad who was not too happy today. Excellent strong bone and very good weight. Only just lost out to the winner today on maturity. Nicely positioned ears of a medium size. Cheeks full. Muzzle well formed. Eyes of a very good shape and nice blue colour just very slightly lighter to the outer edges. Profile with a slight dip and a broad nose. Level bite. Front left marking reaches the stopper pad but does not go past. Gloves scalloped. Socks even. Gauntlets equal in length and breadth. Clear body coat with a small amount of undercoat and soft texture. All the points nicely matched in the depth of colour. Tail in proportion to the body length and nicely covered.

CHOCOLATE OR LILAC BIRMAN NEUTER FEMALE;

1 PC & BOB Ellis MENTOBE TALLULAH BELLE

 almost three years old. A pleasure to handle with excellent bone and very good weight. Ears of a medium size and are well positioned. Nice width to the cheeks. Eyes having an almost round shape and good blue colour. Medium length nose with a slight dip in profile. Level bite. Good width to the muzzle. Well balanced type. Very full body coat which was soft to touch with some undercoat and free from any shading. Gloves a touch low but equally matched. Socks nice and level. Gauntlets very well marked. Tail in proportion with the body length and well covered. Very good lilac points all nicely matched in the depth of colour.

2 Conway BAYGAZER LILAC LIL

 just over nine months old and a very grumpy lad who was not enjoying the day at all. Lovely bone and nice weight. Just looking unbalanced today most probably going through the adolescent stage and certainly not happy. Ears medium in size and well set. Cheeks of a good width and the muzzle nicely formed. Well shaped eyes of a medium blue colour. Slight bump to the nose which had a slight dip. Level bite. Lovely clear and soft body coat which had a small amount of undercoat. Gloves evenly marked, socks level, gauntlets broad and even in length but a little more attention needed to the preparation of the feet. Tail reaching the shoulders and nicely covered. Very good lilac points all nicely matched. I think you will have to watch this lad as he does not enjoy the show bench.

Gloves symmetrically matched. Socks evenly marked. Gauntlets of an equal length and breadth. Full body coat with a slight golden hue and lovely depth of undercoat with a silken texture. Very full tail which is in proportion to the body length. Rich red to all the points.

cream lad of eleven months old. Unfortunately the front right marking goes right past the stopper pad. Gloves well matched. Socks nice and level. Gauntlets equal in length and breadth.
